A survey was performed to provide current information on professional catering companies. Twenty-three catering companies out of thirty-eight(60% recovery) responded the survey for December in 1998. Foodservice establishments managed by 16 small-middle sized catering companies provided an average of 11,200 meals daily, while those managed by major and small-middle sized catering companies were mainly office(72.2%, 57.1%) and school foodservice(15.2%, 26%). The rates of sales of major catering companies and small-middle sized catering companies increased 24%, 30% respectively in 1998. Self-evaluation in catering companies was conducted for sanitary management. Unsatisfactory results from self evaluation were found in three categories, such as, measurement of internal temperature of food materials at reception, ventilation system in the working area, and hand-washing stations with equipment cleaning and sanitizing facilities in front of the working area. Most catering companies expressed a willingness to apply the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system from this survey. $\ulcorner$Professional catering business has arisen as an area requiring more consideration and further study for the production of a safe food.$\lrcorner$
The main steam line break accident is an essential initiating event of the pressurized water reactor. In present work, the fuzzy set theory and the signal-based fault detection method has been used to detect the occurrence and diagnosis of the location and break area for the small scale MSLB. The models are validated by the AP1000 accident simulator based on MAAP5. From the test results it can be seen that the proposed approach has a rapid and proper response on accident detection and location diagnosis. The method proposed to evaluate the break area shows good performances for small scale MSLB with the relative deviation within ±3%.

In the era of 21st new century. reinforcement of regional competitiveness by establishing innovation system is taking its place of main small and medium sized enterprise policies in major developed countries. The model of regional balanced development for promoting small and medium sized enterprise is a main frame of governmental small and medium sized enterprise policies. which complements national innovation process. And in the level of local area, the model is regional network system, molded in the process of induction, application, modification, proliferation of new technologies and knowledge by local businessman and innovators. This study focused on the strategy development for small and medium sized businesses to increase local competitive power, in terms of regional balanced development. In order to find the real problems and improvement alternatives for local competitive power, this study both reviewed the common strategies and action programs advanced in developed countries for small businesses, and did research on the current economic conditions in local area. Based on the lessons from foreign cases and the analysis of the current situations in small business in local area, the study suggested the model of regional balanced development for promoting small and medium sized enterprise including formation of innovation network system through the invitation of leading firms in the area, industry-university partnerships, and development and attraction for small and medium sized businesses.
Active area of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) has an effect on the efficiency of DSSC. As the active area increases, the efficiency goes down in a general way. This is caused by the increase of internal resistance in DSSC. The internal resistances are related to various resistant elements. The charge transfer processes at Pt counter electrode and the sheet resistance of TCO are two of these resistant elements. In this study, we try to divide the active area into several small sections in a large sized cell to reduce these two internal resistant elements. As a result, we find out that the fill factor is increased and then the conversion efficiency is improved as the number of dividing active area into several small sections is increased.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual condition of the plan of high schools in the rural area. Recently, many high schools are remodeling the buildings and facilities based on the departmentalized classroom system. This study, through analyzing on 2 remodeling cases of small high schools in the rural area of gyeongnam. This article discuses about the basic characteristics of the plan composition and the education programs of 2 small high schools. This study is showing the variation before and after remodeling and space organization types. The results of this study are summarized as follows; 1) Most of them take horizontal zoning system in the department classrooms. 2) Number and area of teachers' laboratory ware increased in most of floors. 3) Sample schools took much more spaces of homebase than before. 4) Consideration is given to the main subject spaces before the other subject spaces.
An object detection algorithm using a modified IDM(Image Differential Method) is proposed for detecting an object in a level crossing area. The conventional object detection method using LASER light has the deadzone that it cannot detect small objects, while the object detection method using image data in a level crossing area can detect such small objects. But the image data in a level crossing area can be changeable easily because the data is outdoor and sensitive to such surrounding environments as the change of the sun beam, the shadow of cars, and so on. So we resolve these problems by adding the normalization and the process for shadow of the image data in a level crossing area to the basic IDM(Image Differential Method).

In this paper, a low power, small area cyclic time-to-digital converter in All-Digital PLL for DVB-S2 application is presented. Coarse and fine TDC stages in the two-step TDC are shared to reduce the area and the current consumption maintaining the resolution since the area of the TDC is dominant in the ADPLL. It is implemented in a 0.13 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process with a die area of 0.12 $mm^2$. The power consumption is 2.4 mW at a 1.2 V supply voltage. Furthermore, the resolution and input frequency of the TDC are 5 ps and 25 MHz, respectively.
This article assumes that the first newtown has declined in Korea. Urban regeneration projects should be implemented for regeneration for CBD in Newtown as well as small local cities. The purpose of this article is to analyze the character of the subway area and to suggest the key issues for regeneartion in the subway area. Especially focussing on the local important commercial function in 5 subway areas. As a result of analyzing 5 subway areas according to basic statistical data, field interviews, and legal decline diagnostic index, all five commercial districts showed decline. In particular, the decline of Baekseok Station area appears to be serious, and there is a key factor that attracts the decline of the commercial area such as the long - term building or the closure rate of each commercial area. In addition, the vacancy rate is increasing due to large distribution facilities in new cities, the entry of new floating facilities on the outskirts, and unsold new stores, and the recession is accelerating. In this way, the signs of decline in the core of the new city are enriched, but the current Urban Regeneration Act is a legal system with a policy goal of regeneration of small and medium cities in the provinces as a system to promote the function of core bases rather than the overall redevelopment of new cities. Therefore, preemptive response is needed for the regeneration in those areas.

Background: In this article, it was analyzed how snow melting affects the assembly of lichen and moss communities in a small area of the coastal region of Barton Peninsula, which is in maritime Antarctic. In the small area, even though there is a huge gap of difference of the environment between the snow-filled area and snow-melt one, the latter did not have distinctive environmental gradients. Results: Depending on the snow melting time, coverage and species diversity of lichens and mosses tend to increase remarkably. For species with significant changes depending on the snow-covered period, there are Andreaea regularis, crustose lichens, Placopsis contortuplicata, Usnea aurantiaco-atra, and snow algae. In this area, the process of vegetation assembly process has shown the directional development in the order of snow algae${\rightarrow}$crustose, lichen sub-formation${\rightarrow}$fruticose lichen, moss cushion sub-formation (Andreaea sociation)${\rightarrow}$fruticose lichen, and moss cushion sub-formation (Usnea sociation), according to the order of snow melting. These directional development stages are shown in gradual change in small area with the snow melting phenomena. However, in the snow-free area, where water is sufficiently supplied, it is expected that moss carpet sub-formation (Sanionia sociation) will be developed. Vegetation development in the small area with the snow melting phenomena, depending on differences of resistance on snow kill and moisture settled by species in according to the time of snow melting, tolerance model to form community is followed. Conclusions: The research results explain the development of vegetation in the Antarctic tundra and its spatial distribution according to the period for growth of lichens and mosses in the summer time by differences of snow melting in the small area. In the future, if research for the community development process in a large scale will be done, it will be helpful to figure out temporal and spatial dynamic of vegetation in the Antarctic tundra where snow and glaciers melt rapidly due to climatic warming.
As a neighboring country belonged to the same cultural sphere with the Northeast Asia, China is recently emerging as a center of the world's economy. The social transformations caused by the rapid economic growth are bringing changes in the Chinese housing culture and thus, it is considered that the identification of a user's need concerning a new housing space and social and cultural understanding on China are necessary. Accordingly, this research intended to conduct the basic research on the Chinese housing space design by observing the small apartment users in Shanghai area in terms of not only the tangible element of the residential space type but also the intangible elements such as lifestyle, values, behaviors, etc. The research range was limited to the kitchen area at the center of a house as a place where the exchanges among the family members are most frequently occur, and the research was carried out in the following methods. First, the effective user research method for the analysis of the Chinese small apartment kitchen users was studied through the literature investigation. Second, the 6 families of a research target were selected focused on the small apartments in Shanghai, China and the user research was performed using three methods of User observation, Video ethnography, and Contextual inquiry. Third, the research results were analyzed focused on the flow of human traffic in the kitchen area and user's behaviors. What were identified as a result take account of the human traffic movements in the kitchen areas around the sink-counter-cook top, cooking behaviors and meal areas outside of the kitchen. Through this, the need for the effective organization of the sink-counter-cook top, arrangement of meal area, and placement of storage by section for the kitchen space of China were drawn based on the understanding of the cooking process, and it was identified that such results require comprehensive understanding of Chinese housing culture.
