Slury Wall용 안정액의 배합설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the mix desing for stabilizing liquid of sluryy wall)

  • The purpose of this study is to design the requirements for the materials of stabilizing slurry and to determine the optimum slruuy mix design used in the underground wall of Inchon LNG #213 and 214 tank. After the materials and mix conditions of stabilizing slurry investigated and tested, we propose materials and optimum mix design according to testing items including funnel viscosity, we propose materials and optimum mix design according to testing items including funnel viscosity, fluid loss, cake thickness and specific gravity. As this results, we select optimum mix design that the upper limit ratio of bentonite is 2.0%, polymer is 0.1% considering the funnel viscosity and dispersion agent is 0.05% considering the fluid loss. Also we select all materials which are composed of GTC4 as bentonite, KSTP as polymer and Bentocryl as dispersion agent. All test results are satisfied our specifications for stabilizing slurry.

  • Current building structural standards require the shear strength and rigidity in the design of vertical construction joints in a slurry wall. This paper proposes a shear key resistance method for shear connection of vertical construction joints, and compares its structural performance with the currently prevalent method of shear friction rebar. The study found the structural performance of the shear key resistance method was significantly better than that of the shear friction rebar method.

  • CWS I method developed to overcome the problems of frequent occurrence in the application of existing downward construction methods has demonstrated excellent efficiency. However, in the case of using slurry wall instead of SCW or CIP as a retaining wall, the improvements in connecting steel beams with the wall were demanded. Therefore, the study of CWS II method was carried out in order to accomplish the CWS I method reflecting its strong points and to ensure the settlement of a steel beam and to induce the diaphragm effect of a slab while reducing the degree of difficulty and the term of works and the cost of construction. In this paper, the concept and features of CWS II method as well as the progress of execution was discussed by comparing with existing methods.

  • Slurry trench의 안정성은 안정액의 유압이 filter cake 막을 통하여 trench 벽에 전달됨으로서 확보될 수가 있다. 지반조건의 영향에 따른 slurry trench 공법에서 주변 공극수압의 변화를 수치해석(FEM)으로 추적하였다. 이러한 주변 공극수압의 변화 요인으로는 안정액의 밀도, filter cake의 상태, 토질조건, 시간, trench 심도, 주변지하수위로 조사되었으며, 가장 큰 영향력을 보인 요인으로는 토질조건과 filter cake 상태로 나타났다.

  • This paper presents the results of an experimental study on the ground deformation by trench excavation for Diaphragm Wall construction. The model tests are performed to investigate the back ground deformation by lowering of slurry level in trench after excavating. Through these, the deformation characteristic of the back ground due to stress release of excavated space was investigated. This study considered relative density of soil mass and the distance between trench and surcharge. An experiment was performed in order to observe the failure pattern of a slurry-supported trench excavated in sandy ground. From model tests, in order to predict reasonably the deformation behavior of the adjacent ground due to the underground excavation, it is significantly recommended that the ground settlement by trench excavation should be considered.

  • The performance of fluidized-bed reactor with Photomedia, immobilized TiO$_2$ onto the porous ceramic ball using a sol-gel method has been studied in this work. A simple model substrate, dilute Rhodamine B (RhB), was decolorized at room temperature. For the purpose of comparison, the slurry reactor and the Inner Wall Coated Reactor (IWCR) were used. The aim of this work was to develop the photocatalytic fluidized bed reactor (PFBR) through contrasting the photodegradability of various reactors such as the TiO$_2$slurry reactor, the inner-wall coated reactor (IWCR). In this study, the RhB was decolorized in three types of reactor. Even though the reaction rate constant of PFBR was lower than that of slurry reactor, PFBR had the advantages of preventing the wash-out of photocatalyst, so it can be operated continuously.

관내 유동 플라스틱 슬러리의 열전달 특성 (Heat Transfer Characteristics of Plastic Particle Slurry in a Circular tube Flow)

  • This present experimental study has dealt with the heat transfer characteristics of plastic particle slurry which flows in a circular tube. This type of slurry is suggested for heat transfer enhancement effect cause by random and vortex effect of plastic particle dispersed in water. As a result, the thermal boundary layer becomes thin so the heat transfer coefficient on the tube wall more increase compare to pure water flow. This experimental test section was composed with stainless pipe which has the length of 2000mm, inner pipe diameter of 14mm and outer pipe diameter of 60mm. The most effective and important parameter of this experiment is plastic packing factor(PPF). The focuses of these results are pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient. As results, the friction factor of plastic particle slurry becomes higher at laminar flow region than pure water because of buoyancy effect of plastic particle but the local heat transfer coefficient becomes higher.

  • The present study has been performed for obtaining the melting heat transfer enhancement characteristics of water mixture slurries of plural microcapsules having different diameters encapsulated with solid-liquid phase change material(PCM) flowing in a pipe heated under a constant wall heat flux condition. In the turbulent flow region, the friction factor of the present PCM slurry was to be lower than that of only water flow due to the drag reducing effect of the PCM slurry. The heat transfer coefficient of the PCM slurry flow in the pipe was increased by both effects of latent heat involved in phase change process and microconvection around plural microcapsules with different diameters. The experimental results revealed that the average heat transfer coefficient of the PCM slurry flow was about 2~2.8 times greater than that of a single phase of water.
