Due to a heavy rain resulted from the global environmental change, collapse accidents happen annually and it is a tendency to increase the loss of life and economy. Thus, measures for the collapse of slope are required. If the slope can be simulated before cutting, the collapse can be predicted, and also the accident of the collapse can be minimized at the cost of recovery. This paper presents a simulation method of a slope which is important in cutting. The method is modeling and designing using Petri-Net and is implemented in the Windows XP using Arc GIS. Therefore, by means of cutting and reclamation based on GIS, this paper can contribute to saving a lot of time and money.
This study evaluated slope stability through a case study to determine the disaster risks associated with increased deforestation in structures, including schools and apartments, located in urban areas adjacent to slopes. The slope behind the ○○ High School in Gwangju, Korea, collapsed owing to heavy rain in August 2018. Historically, rainwater drained well around the slope during the rainy season. However, during the collapse, a large amount of seepage water flowed out of the slope surface and a shallow failure occurred along the saturated soil layer. To analyze the cause of the collapse, the images of the upper area of the slope, which could not be directly identified, were captured using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A digital elevation model of the slope was constructed through image analysis, making it possible to calculate the rainfall flow direction and the area, width, and length of logging areas. The change in the instability of the slope over time owing to rainfall lasting ten days before the collapse was analyzed through numerical analysis. Imaging techniques based on the UAV images were found to be effective in analyzing ground disaster risk maps in urban areas. Furthermore, the analysis was found to predict the failure before its actual occurrence.
The purpose of this study is to identify the collapse characteristics by analyzing various factors causing collapse based on field survey and existing data on rock slopes occurring in the construction of roads and industrial complexes in Gyeongsangnam - do area. In the case of the slope where the slope has been directly surveyed, the analysis of the collapse characteristics can be used for the prediction and prevention of slope failure through the continuous collection of the slope data, database construction, management and analysis. The evaluation items used in the collapse characteristics of slope were selected among the items that can be regarded as objective evaluation items among the overlapping factors by comparing the evaluation items frequently used for the evaluation of the existing slope stability among various factors. The type of destruction of the rock slope depends on the type of carcass of the bedrock, such as planar fracture, wedge fracture, onho fracture, and conduction fracture, which are different from each other. And the slope stability analysis should be performed accordingly.

Embankment Slope (or Fill Slope) is defined as artificial slope formed by the filling of soil or rocks on the original ground. Recently a lot of embankment failures and collapse has occurred due to the increase of torrential rainfall and typhoons. Embankment collapse has lead to a great loss of lives and property therefore there is a need to establish a systematic embankment slope management system that will handle the maintenance and repair of risky embankment slopes. The objective of this study is to establish an "Embankment Slope Management Method" for embankment slopes located along national highways all over Korea. The method for field investigation of embankment slopes was recommended and the system for investment priority determination was also developed. The factors that lead to the collapse of embankment slopes caused by natural calamities were also determined through the initial survey of embankment slopes located along river fronts and mountainous areas.
Inventory survey is process collecting data about cut slope. It's different from inspection. Collected data are being used get at status about cut slope along national roads. And we analyse between current situation and data about collapse slope. It helps finding better method about maintenance of cut slope. We found changes in the situation between data at present and data at 10 years ago. We will research collapse and counterplan by cause.

In September 2007, the collapses of slopes and landslides are happened at Jeonlanamdo due to heavy rains accompanied with Typoon "Nari". The study area is the tunnel portal slope in new road construction site. This slope consists of pyroclastic rocks and has lots of faults. Particularly, the residual soils of the slope is deteriorated with yellowish mudstone layer as a results of chemical and physical weathering. This has a variety of swelling clay minerals and might be moved easily down at the gentle terrain. The inner factor of $\bigcirc\bigcirc$tunnel portal slope's collapse is the geological weak zone, the convergent topography, the inferiority of drainage and the heavy rain act on the failure as direct trigger.
The number of collapse accidents relevant to form support since 2003 is 30 on the basis of statistical data from Ministry of Employment and Labor,. Total number of casualty was 138 (47 for deaths and 91 for injuries). The accident severity rate was high because the 4.6 casualties per one accident were occurred averagely although the incident rate was relatively low. Especially, one of form support members, the pipe supports have not been equipped adequately so that the accidents could have happened. In this regard, this study performed buckling test related to the effect of horizontal connection and slope in the single pipe which is one of typical pipe supports. The buckling load, which was estimated from the single pipe with the horizontal connectors theoretically and experimentally, was increased as more than 2 times compared to the buckling load obtained from the pipe supports without the connector. The buckling load was reduced as more than 26%, 34% slope of the single pipe comparing with 5% and 10% slope, respectively. Thus, the purpose of this study is to provide the guideline for installation and the maintenance of the pipe supports legally and institutionally to prevent the collapse accidents of the pipe supports.

To examine saturation characteristics of an unsaturated soil in the steep slope area with collapse, it separated dry season from rainy season and measured water content and permeability, and measured permeability by using a tension infiltrometer in the site. In addition, it conducted electrical resistivity survey to look into thickness of ground and geological structure of underground. The collapsed slope increased depth of weathered zone compared to upper slope, and there electrical resistivity anomalous zone caused by the filtrated underground water was observed. The permeability of the collapsed area was observed high compared to upper and lower slopes of retarding basin without collapse, and the permeability measured by dividing the dry season and rainy season was measured high in case of dry season.

The objective of this study is to acquire stabilization of collapse of cut-slope in Chang-Nyung, Gyeong-Nam. The following shows the results of this study. We applied a reinforcement method with the latticed beam $(0.50\times0.50)$ + permanent anchor($PC\;6\times\phi12.7mm$, Ta = 50.0t/EA, etc 3.0m), and fill gravels(D=35cm) in the latticed beam. We attenuated the slope (1:2.0), and stabilized the slope pace by ASANA method. We planned a drainage way(U-type, $0.40\times0.40$) in order to prevent surface water from inflowing into underground.

Cut slopes are collapsed in Korea every year. Cut slope collapses cause a loss of lives and assets. Many researchers make clear collapse factor of cut lope. Fresh rock weathered through reaction undergroundwater and groundwater. During weathering process, weathered minerals are created. Weathered minerals are analysed by X-ray diffraction meter. X-ray diffraction meter make possible quantity assessment of degree of weathering and indicator of potential collapse possibilities. This paper discuss possibilities of cut slope dangerous with analysis of weathered minerals of cut slope.
