미세 결정립 Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo-0.1Si 합금의 저온 초소성 변형 거동 (Low-Temperature Superplastic Deformation Behavior of Fine-Grained Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo-0.1Si Alloy)

  • This study aimed to elucidate the deformation mechanism during low-temperature superplasticity of fine-grained Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo-0.1Si alloy in the context of constitutive equation. For this purpose, initial coarse equiaxed microstructure was refined to $2.2{\mu}m$ via dynamic globularization. Globularized microstructure exhibited large superplastic elongations(434-826%) at temperatures of $650-750^{\circ}C$ and strain rate of $10^{-4}s^{-1}$. It was found that the main deformation mechanism of fine-grained material was grain boundary sliding accommodated by dislocation motion with both stress exponent (n) and grain size exponent (p) values of 2. When the alpha grain size, not sub-grain size, was considered to be an effective grain size, the apparent activation energy for low-temperature superplasticity of the present alloy(169kJ/mol) was closed to that of Ti-6Al-4V alloy(160kJ/mol).

  • A Study on the effect of the additives in lubricating oil was investigated on the basis of the thermal activated wear theory in terms of their wear behaviours, using four ballwear machine. The sample oils, which included diethyl-3, 5-di-t-butyi-4-hydroxy-benzyl phosphonate (DEP), ZDDP and TCP additives respectively, showed distinct wear characteristics depending upon the bulk oil temperature and the sliding velocity. The newly synthesized additive, viz., DEP showed excellent antiwear performance cornpared with the conventional additives, ZDDP and TCP. On the basis of the experimental results, it is reduced that the wear mechanism of the conventional additives, viz., ZDDP and TCP is the protective film formation and their antiwear capability is depending upon the shearing strength of the film formed. On the other hand, the new additive, DEP showed that the secondary activation energy was much eliminated and so, the thermal instability was reduced by the hydrogen scavenging reaction of the new additive, which was virtually an endothermic reaction process.In conclusion, a new concept of antiwear mechanism is estabilished and testified. And new chemical, which showed the function of hydrogen and free radical scavenging role, is synthesized and introduced as the new, highly antiwear effective lubricating oil additive.

  • In this study, the effects of oxide layer formed on the contact parts of TiN coated ball and steel disk in sliding are investigated. Also wear mechanism to from the oxide layer and the characteristics of the oxide layer formation are investigated. AISI 52100 steel ball is used for the substrate of coated ball specimens. Two types of coated ball specimens were prepared by depositing TiN coating with 1 and 4 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in coating thickness. AISI 1045 steel is used for the disk type counter-body. To investigate the effect of oxide layer on the contact parts of the two materials, the tests were performed both in air for forming oxide layer on the contact parts and in nitrogen environment to avoid oxidation. And to study the effects of surface roughness of counter-body, TiN coating thickness and contact load of sliding test on the characteristics of oxide layer formation on counter-body, various tests were carried out. From the results, the friction characteristics between the two materials was predominated by iron oxide layer that formed on wear track on counter-body and this layer caused the high friction. And the formation rate of the oxide layer on wear track increased as the real contact area between the two materials increased as the contact load increased, the TiN coating thickness decreased and the surface of counter-body smoothened.

만타형상 무인잠수정의 운동성능 해석 및 제어기 설계를 위한 비선형 수학모델 개발 (Mathematical Modeling for Dynamic Performance Analysis and Controller Design of Manta-type UUV)

  • 본 논문에서는 만타형상 무인잠수정(Manta-type unmanned underwater test vehicle)의 운동성능과 제어기설계에 대한 성능을 해석하기 위한 수학모델을 정립하여 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하였다. 6자유도 운동방정식을 이용하여 Matlab/Simulink로 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 구성하였다. 개발된 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용하여 만타형상 무인잠수정의 동역학적 운동성능을 해석하였으며, 무인잠수정의 제어성능을 해석하기 위하여 PID(비례-미분-적분)제어기와 슬라이딩모드(Sliding mode)제어기를 설계하여 만타형상 무인잠수정의 제어성능을 해석하였다. 설계된 제어기는 무인잠수정의 수심제어(Depth control)와 방향제어(Heading control)에 사용되었다. 설계된 제어기의 성능을 확인하기 위하여 미해군 대학원의 AUV II와 비교하였다. 설계된 수심제어기와 방향제어기를 이용하여 만타형 무인잠수정의 설계목표에 부합하는 항해제어 시뮬레이션을 실시하였다.

가스 분무 공정에 의해 제조된 Al-Si 합금 분말 압출재의 열처리에 의한 미세조직 및 기계적 특성 변화 (Effect of Heat Treatment on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties for Al-Si Alloyed Powder Material by Gas Atomizing and Hot Extrusion Process)

  • The microstructural and mechanical properties of Al-Si alloyed powder, prepared by gas atomization fallowed by hot extrusion, were studied by optical and scanning electron microscopies, hardness and wear testing. The gas atomized Al-Si alloy powder exhibited uniformly dispersed Si particles with particle size ranging from 5 to $8{\mu}m$. The hot extruded Al-Si alloy shows the average Si particle size of less than $1{\mu}m$. After heat-treatment, the average particle size was increased from 2 to $5{\mu}m$. Also, mechanical properties of extruded Al-Si alloy powder were analyzed before and after heat-treatment. As expected from the microstructural analysis, the heat-treated samples resulted in a decrease in the hardness and wear resistance due to Si particle growth. The friction coefficient of heat-treated Al-Si alloyed powder showed higher value tough all sliding speed. This behavior would be due to abrasive wear mechanism. As sliding speed increases, friction coefficient and depth and width of wear track increase. No significant changes occurred in the wear track shape with increased sliding speed.

  • 본 연구는 오스템퍼링 온도와 유지시간을 변화시켜 오스템퍼링 한 저합금구 상흑연주철을 실험재로 하여 증류수 및 NaCI수용액 중에서의 부식마멸특성 및 그 기구 를 규명하여 Tribology 설계에 대한 자료를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다.

극저온 $CO_2$ 세정과정 시 미세오염물의 탈착 메커니즘 연구 (A dynamic analysis on minute particles' detachment mechanism in a cryogenic $CO_2$ cleaning process)

  • Rapid increase of integrity for recent semiconductor industry highly demands the development of removal technology of contaminated particles in the scale of a few microns or even smaller. It is known that the surface cleaning technology using $CO_2$ snow has its own merits of high efficiency. However, the detailed removal mechanism of particles using this technology is not yet fully understood due to the lack of sophisticated research endeavors. The detachment mechanism of particles from the substrates is known to be belonged in four types; rebounding, sliding, rolling and lifting. In this study, a modeling effort is performed to explain the detachment mechanism of a contaminant particle due to the rebounding caused by the vertical collision of the $CO_2$ snow. The Hertz and Johnson-Kendall-Roberts(JKR) theories are employed to describe the contact, adhesion and deformation mechanisms of the particles on a substrate. Numerical simulations are followed for several representative cases, which provide the perspective views on the dynamic characteristics of the particles as functions of the material properties and the initial inter-particle collision velocity.

X. 25 Protocol의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of The CCITT X.25 Protocol)

  • 본 논문에서는 packet switching network의 국제 표준 접속 protocol인 CCITT X.25 protocol의 성능을 분석하며 특히 X.25 protocol의 유통 제어 방식에 대하여 분석한다. Protocol의 성능 분석은 normalized channel throughput, mean transmission time과 transmission efficiency를 사용하면 이들은 window 크기, $T_1$$T_2$ 값 그리고 message길이 등과 같은 주어진 protocol parameter의 함수로 표시된다. 먼저 protocol 서비스에 따른 입력 데이타의 서비스 특성과 piggybacked acknowledgment를 하는 sliding window flow control 방식에 대하여 discrete-time Markov chain을 사용하여 연구한다. Protocol의 성능은 link layer 및 packet layer 에 대하여 각기 독립적으로 분석하며 분석결과를 통하여 각 protocol parameter의 영향을 조사한다. 수치적인 분석 결과로 부터 채널 서비스 환경에 따른 protocol parameter의 최적치를 찾을 수 있는데 window크기는 고속채널의 경우 7이상이 되는 것이 바람직 하며, $T_1$ timer 값은 채널의 전송 유실이 많은 경우 신중히 선택되어져야 하며 보통의 경우에는 1초 정도가 타당하다. $T_2$ parameter는 trnasmission efficiency의 개선에 있어 약간의 효과를 미치나 그리 크지는 않다.

수평반복하중 실험을 이용한 근입된 얕은 기초의 회전거동 메커니즘 평가 (Evaluation of Rocking Mechanism for Embedded Shallow Foundation via Horizontal Slow Cyclic Tests)

  • 얕은 기초의 회전거동은 지진 시 상부 구조물의 지진하중을 줄이는 효과적인 방법으로 대두되고 있다. 그러나 회전거동의 메커니즘에 대한 이해부족과 항복거동으로 인한 지반변형 때문에 시공에 적용되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 원심모형실험을 이용한 수평반복하중 실험을 통해 세장비가 다른 시스템의 근입된 얕은 기초의 회전거동 특성을 평가하였다. 실험결과를 통해 기초의 회전거동으로 인한 하부지반면의 원형현상을 관찰하였으며, 이로 인해 기초의 최대 전도모멘트가 기초의 극한 모멘트 지지력과 같아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 기초 저면에서 관측된 토압변화를 통해 항복거동으로 인한 수평거동과 회전거동의 연결(coupling)과 분리(decoupling)현상을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 기초의 회전각이 증가할수록 지반의 비선형성과 에너지 감쇠가 커짐을 알 수 있었고, 근입된 기초의 극한 모멘트 지지력이 지표면에 놓인 기초의 극한 모멘트 지지력보다 더 커지는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 기초의 회전거동을 이용한 내진 설계 시 보다 정확하고 적절한 기초의 극한 모멘트 지지력을 제시할 수 있을 것이라 판단된다.
