  • 비선형 마찰인 유압 작동기의 스틱-슬립 마찰은 정확성과 응답성에 문제가 된다. 그러므로 마찰보상은 다양한 제어알고리즘을 통하여 연구되어 왔다. 적응이산시간 슬라이딩 추종제어기는 유압작동기 내의 비선형 마찰 특성을 보상하기 위하여 적용하였다. 다오판틴 방정식을 기초로 하여 새로운 이산시간 슬라이딩 함수는 마찰과 모델링 오차를 포함하여 제어법칙을 정의하였다. 비선형 파라미터의 추종성을 기초로 슬라이딩 함수와 프로젝션 항수를 이용하여 강인성을 높였다. 시뮬레이션과 실험결과는 좋은 추종성능을 얻었다.

경계윤활 및 무윤활 상태에서 선접촉을 하는 세라믹과 강의 마찰과 마멸 특성 (Friction and Wear of Ceramic-Steel Pairs in Boundary-Lubricated and Unlubricated Line-Contact Sliding)

  • The friction and wear behaviors of ceramics against steels with lubricants were investigated and compared with those observed in air. Lubrications wbre done by a water and a commercial engine oil as received. The investigated ceramics were $Al_{2}O_{3}$, SiC, and $Si_{3}N_{4}$. Steels with 0.2 wt.% C were heat treated to obtain tempered structure. A cylinder-on-plate tribometer with rotated sliding motion was used to carry out the experiments. In the experiments reported here, the ranges of different testing speeds and loads were used. It was found that the friction and wear characteristics of tested pairs were significantly influenced by environments. In water and oil environments the wear of ceramics was reduced from 10$^{-6}$ g/s down to 10$^{-8}$ g/s in dry sliding at the same values of the frictional power which are the products of the friction coefficient, the load and the sliding speed. SiC showed excellent wear resistant behavior in water sliding, which was the lowest among tested ceramics, but it was, very poor in oils. In case of $Si_{3}N_{4}$, the wear rates were very low under oil environment, but the highest in water. The wear rates of $Al_{2}O_{3}$ were very low in both lubricating conditions at low values of the frictional power, but high at high values of the frictional power.

  • 본 논문에서는 고전적인 슬라이딩 모드 제어에서 단점으로 나타나는 채터링을 감소시키고 도달 시간을 줄이기 위한 적응 퍼지 슬라이딩 모드 제어기를 제안하였다. 전문가의 경험이나 직관에 주로 의존하는 제어 규칙의 획득을 쉽게 하기 위해 최대 경사법을 이용하여 슬라이딩 모드 조건이 만족되면서 채터링 현상을 줄이기 위한 제어 규칙의 결론부 파라미터를 수정하는 적응 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 고전적인 가변 구조 제어 시스템의 장점인 외란, 매개변수 변화와 불확실성에 둔감한 성질을 그대로 간직하고 있다. 제안한 알고리즘의 유용성을 보이기 위해 도립 진자 시스템에 적용한 결과 채터링 감소와 빠른 응답 특성을 얻을 수 있다.

알루미늄 합금의 미끄럼마모 특성에 미치는 상대재 경도의 영향 (Analysis of Sliding Wear Properties for Aluminum Alloy According to the Hardness Values of the Mating Tool Steel)

  • In order to investigate the wear behavior of aluminum alloy depended on different hardness of the mating tool steel, sliding wear tests were conducted. It was found that the wear characteristics pattern of aluminum alloy for sliding speed was not affected by the hardness of the mating tool steel. However, the effects of the hardness of the mating tool steel exhibited only in relatively low sliding speed ranges. At these ranges, the wear rate of aluminum alloy decreased when increasing the hardness of the mating tool steel. This was attributed by the fact that $Al_2O_3$ particles released from the aluminum worn surface were crushed and embedded on the mating worn surface with high hardness level. At the high sliding speed ranges, wear of aluminum alloy was hardly occurred by the formation of thick $Al_2O_3$ film on the worn surface, regardless of the hardness of the mating tool steel.

유도전동기 센서리스 벡터제어를 위한 적응슬라이딩모드 제어기 (Sensorless Vector Control for IM Adaptive Sliding Mode Controller)

  • 본 논문은 슬라이딩 모드 관측기를 이용한 적응 속도 센서리스 벡터제어에 대해 제안한다. 적응 슬라이딩 모드 관측기는 전압식을 이용한 전동기 고정자 기준좌표에 의해 회전자 자속성분이 관측된다. Lyapunov 함수에 의해 얻어지는 추가적인 관계로부터 전동기의 속도가 구해진다. 성능 확인을 위해 전통적인 PI 제어기와 슬라이딩 모드 관측기의 추가적인 특성에 대해 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 비교하였다. 분석과 비교에 의한 결과에 의하면 시스템의 유용성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 수조 내에 잠긴 구조물에 대한 미끄럼 지진응답의 해석시 비선형 모델에 포함되는 유체동적 효과를 계산할 때에 종래의 방법은 수조와 구조물 사이의 초기 간격 조건만으로 계산한 다음, 이를 지진 작용 시간동안 일정한 값으로 가정하여 사용하였다. 이는 지진시 수중구조물의 예상변위가 유체 간격에 비해 아주 작다고 가정하였기 때문이다. 그러나 유체 간격이 비교적 크지 않은 조건에서는 이 방법은 자칫 비보수적인 결과를 초래할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 건물내 수조에 잠긴 구조물에 대한 지진해석의 한가지 예를 통하여 어떠한 경우 얼마나 미끄럼변위를 과소평가 할 수 있는지를 보인다. 그리고, 이러한 경우 최대 미끄럼변위의 예측시 예상되는 과도한 오차를 피하기 위하여는 시간적분을 위한 각 적분 단위시간마다 유체동적 효과를 지속적으로 계산하여 개정하여 주어야 한다는 사실을 확인하였다.

고하중과 고속 미끄럼 베어링 시스템의 경계윤활에 대한 연구 (Study on Boundary Lubrication in the Sliding Bearing System under High Load and Speed)

  • Many tribological components in automobile engine undergo high load and sliding speed with thin film thickness. The lubrication characteristics of the components are regarded as ether hydrodynamic lubrication or boundary lubrication, whereas in a working cycle they actually have both characteristics. Many modem engine lubricants have various additives for better performance which make boundary film formation even under hydrodynamic lubrication regime. Conventional Reynolds equation with the viewpoints of continuum mechanics concerns only bulk viscosity of lubricant, which means that its simulation does not give insights on boundary lubrication characteristics. However, many additives of modern engine lubricant provide mixed modes of boundary lubrication characteristics and hydrodynamic lubrication. Especially, high molecular weight polymeric viscosity index improvers form boundary film on the solid surface and cause non-Newtonian fluid effect of shear thinning. This study has performed the investigation about journal bearing system with the mixed concepts of boundary lubrication and hydrodynamic lubrication which happen concurrently in many engine components under the condition of viscosity index improver added.

  • Frictional characteristics with the change of dynamic parameters, such as stiffness, inertia and damping, in the friction measurement at dry sliding surfaces were experimentally and theoretically investigated throughout the study. Dynamic frictional force and the variation in the normal load were mainly measured at the various conditions of system dynamic parameters with which stiffness in the normal direction, loading mechanisms and test materials were varied. For the normal load, mechanisms using both a dead weight and a pneumatic cylinder were applied, which resulted in change of the inertia and damping of the test rig. Test materials were steel, rosin and PTFE, which have different types of intrinsic frictional characteristics. Test results showed that frictional characteristics under different dynamic parameters could be different even though the operating variables were the same and also they could result in the variation in the normal load, which could consequently affect the wear mechanism.

컴프레서용 Al-Si 합금의 파괴 및 마모 특성 (Fracture and Wear Characteristics of Al-Si alloy used for Compressor)

  • Fracture, fatigue and wear characteristics of Al-Si alloy used for compressor are experimentally studied. Plane strain fracture toughness test is carried out using three point bending specimen. Fatigue test is performed under constant loading condition and wear test is carried out as a function of sliding velocity and applied load. To obtain the crack propagation characteristics and wear mechanism of Al-Si alloy, fracture and worn surfaces are investigated using SEM. It is verified that fracture and fatigue strength of Al-Si alloy are improved by the fine microstructure of alloy. The wear behavior and specific wear amount of Al-Si alloy are not dependent on the microstructure but on a function of the silicon content. Anodizing on the surface of Al-Si alloy, surface hardness and wear characteristics are improved.

  • Frictional characteristics with the change of loading method and normal stiffness at dry sliding surfaces were experimentally and theoretically evaluated in this study. For the study, a ball-on-disk typed test rig was built and implemented, which allowed a proper selection of loading mechanism and normal stiffness of the test rig. Loading method were varied from dead weight to pneumatic cylinder and spring loading, and the normal stiffness was varied by a spring of different stiffness. Test results showed that frictional characteristics at various loading methods were different even though the operating variables were the same. Discrepancy in the frictional characteristics, such as coefficient of friction and fluctuation in the normal load, were explained by the change in dynamic parameters of the test rigs. Results also showed that coefficient of friction, which defines as a ratio of frictional force divided a normal load, could be differently evaluated in the calculation when fluctuation in the normal load was significant.
