DCPT를 이용한 풍화대 소켓 현장타설말뚝의 설계도표 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Design Chart for Drilled Shaft Socketed into Weathered Zone Using DCPT (Driving Cone Penetrometer Test))

  • 국내 풍화대 지반에 적용가능한 설계도표를 작성하기 위하여 2개소 현장에서 총 6개의 양방향고유양말뚝재하시험 및 하중전이시험을 수행하였으며, 또한 각각 위치에서는 한국형타격콘관입시험 (DCPT)을 수행하였다. 말뚝재하시혐의 결과로부터 심도별 최대단위선단지지력올 분석하였으며 DCPT 결과를 이용하여 이들의 상관성을 분석하였다. 토사(사질토, 점토)지반에서는 최대단위주변마찰력과 DCPT의 상관성이 매우 낮게 나타났으나 풍화대지반에서는 최대단위주변마찰력 / 최대단위선단지지력과 DCPT의 관계에서는 상관계수가 0.70이상으로 높게 나타났다.

안쪽축이 회전하는 환형관내 비뉴튼유체 유동 연구 (Flow of Non-Newtonian Fluids in an Annulus with Rotation of the Inner Cylinder)

  • 본 연구는 안쪽축이 회전하고 바깥쪽 실린더는 정지해있는 반경비가0.52이고 30$^{\circ}$ 경사진 동심 환형관내의 헬리컬 유동 특성에 관한 것이다. 비뉴튼 유체인 UC 수용액과 벤토나이트 수용액을 사용하여 안쪽축이 0~400pm으로 회전할 때 축방향 유동을 완전히 발달시킨 후 축방향 압력손실값을 측정하였다. 또한, 헬리컬 유동의 가시화는 불안정한 파를 관찰하기 위해 수행되었다. 현재 연구 결과는 표면마찰계수에 대해 로스비순(Ro)와 레이놀즈수(Re)의 관계를 나타내었다. 또한, 그 결과들은 유동 불안정성 메카니즘의 존재를 보인다. 축회전수가 증가함에 따라 압력손실이 증가하지만, 그 증가폭은 천이 및 난류영역에서는 레이놀즈수가 증가할수록 감소하며, 회전의 영향으로 유동교란이 증진되어 천이가 촉진된다. 또, 이런 유동교란의 증진은 표면마찰계수값의 증가와 함께 임계 레이놀즈수(Re$_{c}$)를 작게 만든다.

  • The present study concerns a experimental study of fully developed laminar flow of a Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid through a concentric annulus with a combined bulk axial flow and inner cylinder rotation for the various radius ratio. This study shows the fundamental difference between Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid flow in an annulus for various radius ratio.

2차원 Confined 충돌 슬롯제트의 유선상류도식을 이용한 수치 해석 (Streamline-Upwind Numerical Simulation of Two-Dimensional Confined Impinging Slot Jets)

  • In the present paper, flow and heat transfer characteristics of confined impinging slot jets have been numerically investigated using a SIMPLE-based segregated SUPG finite element method. For laminar jets, it is shown that the skin friction coefficient obtained from the present SUPG formulation approaches the grid-independent Galerkin solution inducing negligible false diffusion in the flow field when a moderate number of grid points are used. For turbulent jets, the k-$\omega$turbulence model is adopted. The streamwise mean velocity and the heat transfer coefficient respectively agree very well with existing experimental data within limited ranges of parameters.

FALKNER-SKAN EQUATION FOR FLOW PAST A MOVING WEDGE WITH SUCTION OR INJECTION

  • The characteristics of steady two-dimensional laminar boundary layer flow of a viscous and incompressible fluid past a moving wedge with suction or injection are theoretically investigated. The transformed boundary layer equations are solved numerically using an implicit finite-difference scheme known as the Keller-box method. The effects of Falkner-Skan power-law parameter (m), suction/injection parameter ($f_0$) and the ratio of free stream velocity to boundary velocity parameter (${\lambda}$) are discussed in detail. The numerical results for velocity distribution and skin friction coefficient are given for several values of these parameters. Comparisons with the existing results obtained by other researchers under certain conditions are made. The critical values of $f_0$, m and ${\lambda}$ are obtained numerically and their significance on the skin friction and velocity profiles is discussed. The numerical evidence would seem to indicate the onset of reverse flow as it has been found by Riley and Weidman in 1989 for the Falkner-Skan equation for flow past an impermeable stretching boundary.

국소적 초음파 가진이 난류경계층에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Local Ultrasonic Forcing on a Turbulent Boundary Layer)

  • An experimental study was carried out to investigate the effect of local ultrasonic forcing on a turbulent boundary layer. Stereoscopic particle image velocimetry (SPIV) was used to probe the characteristics of the flow. A ultrasonic forcing system was made by adhering six ultrasonic transducers to the local flat plate. Cavitation which generates uncountable minute air-bubbles having fast wall normal velocity occurs when ultrasonic was projected into water. The SPIV results showed that the wall normal mean velocity is increased in a boundary layer dramatically and the streamwise mean velocity is reduced. The skin friction coefficient (C$_{f}$) decreases 60$\%$and gradually recovers at the downstream. The ultrasonic forcing reduces wall-region streamwise turbulent intensity, however, streamwise turbulent intensity is increased away from the wall. Wall-normal turbulent intensity is almost the same near the wall but it increases away from the wall. In the vicinity of the wall, Reynold shear stress, sweep strength and production of turbulent kinetic energy were decreased. This suggests that the streamwise vortical structures are lifted by ultrasonic forcing and then skin friction is reduced.

경계층 외부 수직날의 마찰저항 저감 기구에 대한 PIV 관측 (PIV Investigation on the Skin Friction Reduction Mechanism of Outer-layer Vertical Blades)

  • An experimental assessment has been made of the drag reducing efficiency of the outer-layer vertical blades, which were first devised by Hutchins. The drag reduction efficiency of the blades was reported to reach as much as 30%. However, the drag reduction efficiency was quantified only in terms of the reduction in the local skin-friction coefficient. In the present study, a series of drag force measurements in towing tank has been performed toward the assessments of the total drag reduction efficiency of the outer-layer vertical blades. A maximum 9.6% of reduction of total drag was achieved. The scale of blade geometry is found to be weakly correlated with outer variable of boundary layer. In addition, detailed flow field measurements have been performed using 2-D time resolved PIV with a view to enabling the identification of drag reduction mechanism.

고도에 따른 발사체의 레이놀즈수 영향성 연구 (The Reynolds Number Effects on the Projectile with an Altitude Change)

  • A research was conducted about the Reynolds number effect on the projectile with an altitude change. The atmosphere conditions change in accordance with an altitude change. It effects the Reynolds number. To confirm how the phenomena affect the trajectory of the projectile, a computer program is designed with an altitude and a range considered. The MISSILE DATCOM which is based on the semi-empirical method was utilized to get aerodynamic coefficients. The result shows that the Reynolds number considerably changes as the altitude change. It causes to change the drag coefficient of the projectile. As the Reynolds number decreases, the skin friction drag increases significantly. It causes to decrease the maximum altitude and the range.

자유유동 난류강도 변화에 따른 평판위 천이 경계층의 유동특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Flow Characteristics of Transitional Boundary Layers on a Flat Plate Under the Influence of Freestream Turbulent Intensity)

  • Flow characteristics in transitional boundary layers on a flat plate were experimentally investigated under three different freestream conditions i. e. uniform flow with 0.1 % and 3.7% freestream turbulent intensity and cylinder-wake with 3.7% maximum turbulent intensity. Instantaneous streamwise velocities in laminar, transitional and turbulent boundary layers were measured by I-type hot-wire probe. For estimation of wall shear stresses on the flat plate, measured mean velocities near the wall were applied to the principle of Computational Preston Tube Method (CPM). Distributions of skin friction coefficients were reasonably predicted in all developed boundary layers. Intermittency profiles, which were estimated using Conditional Sampling Technique in transitional boundary layers, were also consistent with previously published data. It was predicted that the incoming turbulent intensity had more influence on transition onset point and transition process than freestream turbulent intensity existed just over the transition region. It was also confirmed that non-turbulent and turbulent profiles in transitional boundary layers could not be simply treated as Blasius and fully turbulent profiles.

하중 방향(압축-인발)과 말뚝 직경이 말뚝의 지지력에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -실내모형시험- (The Effect of Load Direction and Pile Size on the Pile Bearing Capacity : Model Pile Tests)

  • Model pile tests using calibration chamber are performed in !his paper in order to clarify the effect of the fundamental differences between the newly developed SPLT(Simple Pile Loading Test)and the conventional pile loading test on the pile bearing capacity. They are : (1) the direction of the applied load to mobilize the skin friction ; and (2) the use of reduced sifted sliding core. The conclusions obtained from the model pile tests are as follows : (1) The skin friction in tension loading is found to be somewhat smaller than that in compression loading. The average ration is 0.73 with the coefficient of variation (COV) of 0.18. (2) The ratio of the tip resistance rosin연 the reduced sized sliding core to that using the whole shoe shows wide scattering ; its average is 0.99 and the COV is 0.28. The aver - age of 0.99 means that there is no considerable difference in the tip resistance whether the reduced sized sliding core or the whole shoe is used, on condition that penetration depth ratio is larger than 4 : if the boundary effect of the chamber test is considered, the resistance of the whole shoe might be even larger.
