건강한 한국인 청년에서 성별에 따른 피부표면 미세지형 분석 (Analysis of Skin Micro-relief on Healthy Korean Youth According to Sex)

  • 피부는 인체에서 가장 큰 조직으로 가장 바깥쪽에 존재하며 다양한 기능을 수행한다. 항상성 유지를 위한 체온조절, 외부 이물질 등에 대한 보호작용, 그리고 촉각이나 통각 및 온도를 느끼는 역할을 수행한다. 이러한 피부는 손톱, 발톱, 털, 땀샘 등의 다양한 부속기관을 가지고 있으며 나이, 성별, 생활환경 등에 의해 다양한 특징을 보이게 된다. 특히 손발의 주름과 같은 미세지형은 피부의 부위에 따라 다양한 형태를 지니며 성별에 따른 차이도 보이는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 한국인 건강한 청년의 피부미세지형에 관한 연구는 아직 진행되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국인 청년을 대상으로 아래팔 앞쪽, 손등 그리고 가운데 손가락 첫째 마디 등쪽의 피부미세지형을 분석하고 성별 및 위치에 따른 차이를 분석하고자 한다. 실리콘을 이용하여 측정하고자 하는 피부 위치의 모사판을 획득하였으며 획득된 시료는 주름의 빈도, 폭, 깊이 등을 측정하기 위하여 얇게 세절하여 실체현미경으로 촬영 하였으며 성별간 차이와 성별 내 위치간 차이에 대해 측정 및 분석하였다. 남성과 여성에서 주름 빈도의 경우 손등과 아래팔 앞쪽은 여성이, 손가락은 남성이 통계적으로 유의하게 높았으며 동일 성별의 경우 남녀 모두 손가락의 경우에 주름의 빈도가 높게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 상기 연구에 의한 결과는 건강한 젊은 남녀 한국인 피부 미세지형 자료로 추후 진행될 피부와 관련된 다양한 연구에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으리라 생각된다.

텍스쳐링 스킨을 포함하는 자동차 도어트림 레일의 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on Development of Automotive Door Trim Rail including Texturing Skin)

  • For the senses of beauty and texture, internal components of small passenger cars are manufactured by texturing plastic with drawplate but those of deluxe passenger cars are manufactured by bonding pre-embossed skin to the surface of drawplate. As the pre-embossed skin is bonded at high temperature and pressure, the pattern of skin is distorted. The corner part is hardened and its dimension tolerance is changed by resulting in the increase with its defective rate. This study provides the method to design and manufacture the door trim track by vacuuming the non-patterned skin to upper-side drawplate which forms the pattern of descending skin. It is pressed to the plastic product with hot-press method and the damage of bossed-pattern is prevented. Valuation in this study has been done by analyzing, designing and experimenting method.

죽염을 함유한 에멀젼의 안정성과 피부 자극성 완화 (Stability of Emulsions containing a Bamboo Salt and its Relaxing Effect against a Skin Irritation)

  • Various research on the surface of the skin and the relationship between epidermis and composition of ion have been performed. Traditionally, bamboo extract was used as an important material for enhancing healthy condition of a skin. Bamboo salt is well known as one of the most famous traditional medical treatments. In this study, we investigated the stability of P/S (Polyol-in-Silicone) emulsions containing a fair amount of bamboo salt in the range of 0.5~5.0 wt%. For improving the stability of emulsions, we varied the quantity of fatty alcohol and wax ester in emulsions and the stability was checked using DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter). We also studied the efficacy of treating the P/S emulsions containing bamboo salt. From the experiment, the emulsions show the mitigation of stimuli, enhancing the skin hydration and improving the appearance of the skin.

Internal Changes of Blood Compartment and Heat Distribution in Swamp Buffaloes under Hot Conditions : Comparative Study of Thermo-Regulation in Buffaloes and Friesian Cows

  • From previous studies, there is a strong possibility in buffaloes that the marked increase in blood volume (BV) under hot conditions contributes to heat transportation from the rectum to the skin. The present study was done to clarify changes with environmental temperature on water-shift between blood and extracellular fluid (ECF), heat distribution between the rectum and the skin, and blood flow rates (BFR) at the hind legs (reflecting the skin surface). Four buffaloes and four Friesian cows were successively exposed to three different temperatures of $20^{\circ}C$, $30^{\circ}C$ and $35^{\circ}C$. BV and ECF volume were measured with Evans' blue and sodium-thiocyanate dilution methods, respectively. Rectal and subcutaneous (as the skin) temperatures were measured by copper-constantan thermocouples. BFR were measured by a supersonic blood flow meter. With an increase in environmental temperature, skin temperature in buffaloes increased significantly than cows, but rectal temperature was not significantly different between two species. BV, especially plasma compartment, increased significantly in only buffaloes, while ECF volume did not change in both species. BFR increased significantly in buffaloes, but not in cows. From these results, the increased of BV may be caused by water flowing from ECF compartment. The water-shift may induce the increase of BFR and skin temperature. It is suggested in the present study that internal changes of blood compartment in buffaloes contribute to transfer of heat to the skin surface.

화장품을 바를 때 피부 마찰계수의 변화와 주관적인 평가와의 상관관계 연구 (A study on correlation between frictional coefficients and subjective evaluation while rubbing cosmetic product on skin)

  • 화장품을 바를 때 피부와 손가락 사이에서 일어나는 마찰계수는 화장품의 주관적 평가에 많은 영향을 주는 요소이다. in-vivo상태에서 피부와 접촉자 간의 마찰계수는 접촉자의 모양이나 거칠기의 정도 그리고 누르는 하중에 따라 변할 수 있다. 본 실험에서는 리니어 모터와 다축 로드셀을 이용하여 여러 가지 접촉자를 in-vivo상태에서 직접 피부에 접촉시키고 실시간으로 마찰계수를 측정할 수 있는 장치를 개발하였다. 이 장치를 이용하여 피부와 접촉자 간의 마찰계수를 측정하고 그 데이터를 화장품을 바를 때의 전후와 비교$\cdot$분석하였다. 또한 화장품을 바를 때 주관적인 평가에서 이용되는 형용사를 조사하며 마찰계수와의 그 상관관계를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 피부와 접촉자 간의 마찰계수는 화장품의 종류와 접촉자의 성질에 따라 0.17-1.2사이에서 나타나며, 주관적인 평가 또한 화장품을 바른 후 시간의 경과함에 따라 변하며, 그것은 마찰계수와 관련이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Intense Pulsed Light(IPL)를 이용한 알부틴의 경피 흡수 개선 (Enhanced Topical Delivery of Arbutin using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL))

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the feasibility of applying the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) as a tool to enhance the skin absorption of arbutin, a well-known skin-whitening agent. Arbutin solution or skin formulation was applied on the back of hairless mouse skin in vivo after IPL treatment, and then the skin deposition of arbutin was determined by HPLC. IPL treatment significantly increased the amount of arbutin in the skin after 6 hours when arbutin solution was applied 20 times. IPL also enhanced the skin deposition of arbutin when arbutin formulation was applied, although it was not significantly different. Significant increase of surface skin temperature was observed by IPL treatment, which might be a mechanism of the enhanced skin absorption of arbutin. These results suggest the feasibility of using IPL as a tool to increase the skin absorption of whitening agents, although further research needs to be conducted to understand its exact mechanism.

현대건축에서 구조와 표피 일체화 유형의 건축적 표현특성 - 2000년 이후 건축 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on Architectural Expressive Characteristic of 'Structure & Skin Integration' Type in Contemporary Architecture - Focused on the Architecture cases after 2000 -)

  • This study tries to categorize trends of "structure and skin integration" and understand the expressive characters of each architectural type. To do so, we listed up 8 architects who are quoted twice or more in related researches, then analyzed their 25 contemporary buildings which integrated structure and skin since 2000. As a result, this study defined four types based on the way of building tectonic system of structure and skin. Key feature of "linear structure-two dimensional skin" type is the communication with the surroundings as a result of .geometric architectural forms, patterned surface and reflection. Characters of "linear-three dimensional" type are organic architectural forms, sculptural skin, and the mysterious space. "Planar-two dimensional" type is a transformational geometry form to express the dramatic images through the skin, therefore gives a sense of rhythm and dynamics to space. "Planar structure-three dimensional" type highlights the texture, and exposes boundary of the inside and outside. In architectures we studied, the structure is the way to make a creative forms and space, and the skin to express various meanings. That said, the "structure and skin integration" is the means of aggressive design expression.

Study on Hand Greater Yang Skin from the Viewpoint of Human Anatomy

  • Objectives: This study was carried out to analyse Hand Greater Yang Skin in human. Methods: Hand Greater Yang meridian was labeled with latex in the body surface of the cadaver. And subsequently body among superficial fascia and muscular layer were dissected in order to observe internal structures. Results : A depth of Skin encompasses a common integument and a immediately below superficial fascia, this study established Skin boundary with adjacent structures such as relative muscle, tendon as compass. The Skin area of the Hand Greater Yang in human are as follows: The skin close to 0.1chon ulnad of $5^{th}$ nail angle, ulnad base of $5^{th}$ phalanx, ulnad head of $5^{th}$ metacapus(relevant muscle: abductor digiti minimi muscle), ulnad of hamate, tip of ulnar styloid process(extensor carpi ulnaris tendon), radiad of ulnar styloid process, 2cm below midpoint between Sohae and Yanggok(extensor carpi ulnaris), between medial epicondyle of humerus and olecranon of ulnar(ulnar nerve), The skin close to deltoid muscle, trapezius muscle, platysma muscle, inner muscles such as teres major muscle, infraspinatus muscle, supraspinatus muscle, levator scapulae muscle, splenius cervicis muscle, splenius capitis muscle, sternocleidomastoid muscle, digastric muscle, stylohyoid muscle, zygomaticus major muscle, auricularis anterior muscle. Conclusions: The Skin area of the Hand Greater Yang from the anatomical viewpoint seems to be the skin area outside the superficial fascia or muscles involved in the pathway of Hand Greater Yang meridian, collateral meridian, meridian muscle, with the condition that we consider adjacent skins.

INVESTIGATION OF SKIN TYPES BASED ON THE STRATUM CORNEUM LIPID LEVELS

  • In the cosmetics field, facial skins have been classified into four types according to self estimation as well as physiological parameters. The aim of this study is to understand skin condition in the levels and composition of stratum corneum (SC) lipids, and to propose new classification for skin types. We assessed the relationship between the SC lipid composition and the self-estimated skin types or physiological parameters of the skin. Sensitive skin has been of great concern over the last decades, and it should be recognized as a skin type. Therefore, we also investigated the influence of the SC lipid composition on variations of sensitivity evaluated by the Stinging Test. Fifty-five healthy Japanese women aged 22-44 participated in this study. Skin biopsies were taken from facial skin using polyethylene sheet with cyanoacrylate. SC lipids were extracted and separated into individual lipid classes. The combined ceramides and cholesterol were quantified by HPTLC. Free fatty acid was quantified according to the ACS-ACOD method. Instrumental measurements were made at the site around the biopsy. In addition, the Stinging Test and a sensory evaluation questionnaire were administered to all subjects. The generally recognized O-D skin type classification is dependent on the consumer`s subjective assessment with respect to their skin troubles. The product of hydration state and skin surface lipid level showed a significant correlation with self-estimated skin types. The oily-dry skin type classified according to physiological parameters as well as SC lipid levels should be characterized as delicate skin with its barrier function deteriorating in the winter. Two groups of sensitive skin were established. One is the barrier function of the skin is deteriorated, and another is the sebaceous gland activity is in decline.
