  • When making a comic film, the comic presentation that uses stress and exaggeration is the important subject among other things. In this study we tried to investigate the comic effect using the movement of three-dimensional shot. To conduct this study, we extracted the shot manufactured through the Flow Motion of a 3D Production Program Virtual Camera and a High Speed Motion Picture Camera. The shot manufactured applying this manufacturing skill and using three-dimensional production method for the video contents efficiently made was classified into several scenes. The focus of this study is to search for the factor that makes the atmosphere of a story comic through three-dimensional production shot. According to the shot analysis, three-dimensional production method plays a role in developing more stories on space and time by visualizing stories in three dimensions, which makes the most use of the movement of camera, lens and the utilization of focus. In addition, in the presentation where many comic and exaggerated factors are provided, we used the technology that stresses a scene using the size of a shot and the lasting time and presented the method that exaggerates space using a 3D Production Program Virtual Camera and a High Speed Motion Picture Camera. By reviewing the qualitative improvement and the efficient method on making comic films through the possibility that the atmosphere of this three-dimensional shot can apply to the effect for comic presentation, we tried to approach the comic presentation.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify attitudes of hospice volunteers toward care of for terminally ill patients. Method : This was a descriptive study with a sample of 84 adults who were registered for a hospice volunteer education program at Severence Hospice Center. The Frommelt (FATCOD) scale on attitudes toward the care of the dying (Cronbach alpha=.778) and an open ended questions on "what if you only have 6 months to live" were used to collect the data. The data was analyzed using SPSS/W and content analysis. Results : 1) The hospice volunteers were mostly female, with an average age of 45 years, half of them were college graduates and their religious preference was Protestant. 2) The participants of this study demonstrated positive attitudes to care for the dying which is in coherence with hospice philosophy and principles. However they indicated difficulties in maintaining close relationships with people who are dying, and in communicating and sharing, and encouraging those who are dying to express their feelings. In the open ended questions, they identified that their most important issues would be guilt feelings toward their children, family concerns, and the burden of unfinished business in their lives. They also identified the fear of pain in the dying process and fear of the afterlife. The care they would like to receive was to have peace of mind, have a good listener, spiritual counselling, and pain relief and to be respected as a human being. The source of strength would be faith in God and they would like to overcome their of dying. The FATCOD scale has limitation in describing and identifying the need and attitude toward the care of the dying revisions were made. Conclusion : We all are the potential clients for the hospice rare. In a hospice volunteer education program, communication and interpersonal skill are essential. The fear of dying, afterlife, concerns about family with children, and human dignity are major concerns in hospice and palliative care.

  • This study aims to explore life experiences associated with poverty and discrimination in processes of growth, career exploration, entry into the labor market, and career accumulation of the working high school graduate youths. With this exploration, we also intent to grasp their difficulties and needs, thus look for policy tasks for them. The analysis is based on qualitative case study. The results are following. Typical working high school graduate youths choose not to go on to university under the influence of unfavorable economic situation of the original families. They enter the labor market without enough career exploration and try to continue working mainly in low-income and unskilled jobs. They usually work long hours to increase incomes, thus, do not have enough time to invest on their own human resources. They locate in a vicious circle of income poverty, time poverty, and skill poverty, but rarely protected by existing employment and income support programs. It is necessary to improve or introduces policy packages including labor market transition support for the high school graduate, education, training, and career exploration support, income support for the working poor, social network support, and support for reducing the dead zone of social insurances.

  • The existing test-based qualification system does not sufficiently reflect the demand for skills in industries and there exist concerns regarding its efficacy. In response, an innovative national technical qualification system, which uses a course-based qualification system, has been introduced to supplement the test-type qualification system. This study investigates the impact of the national technical qualification system on companies' decisions concerning employment by analyzing survey data from companies that employed persons who obtained course-based qualifications. Analysis results found the degree of company demand for skills had a positive impact on overall employment decisions. Especially, it was highly likely for those companies that experienced loss due to the lack of technology in the past to decide continued employment and expansion of employment. This suggests that it is necessary to design the national technical qualification system in response to the demand for technological skills of each industry in the future.

  • Offshore working environments such as ships, offshore oil and gas plants, and offshore wind turbines are isolated and directly exposed to rough seas, which pose high risks of safety accidents. Therefore, all workers in offshore plants should be able to cope with emergency situations and must be qualified according to relevant laws and regulations such as the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW Convention) and Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization (OPITO) standards. In particular, marine workers should be able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in isolated locations or enclosed and confined spaces such as those in life-boats, life-rafts, rescue-boats, etc. Because the floor material is made of rubber, it may be difficult to perform chest compressions in life-rafts used to escape from emergency situations in ships or offshore plants. Chest compressions performed on life-rafts may reduce the accuracy of CPR and increase fatigue for those providing aid. To measure the accuracy and fatigue of those performing CPR in life-rafts, 15 experimenters with more than five years of experience as first aid instructors were exposed to different CPR environments in a marine safety training center equipped with an artificial wave generator. The results showed that the accuracy of CPR in the classroom was 99.6 %, but that in various life-raft environments was only 84 %. T-verification of the two sites confirmed the reduced accuracy of CPR performed on life-rafts. CPR on life-rafts should be performed in groups of two and with the use of automated chest compression devices.

  • The aim of this study was to distinguish 3 concepts(capacity, capability, and performance) for the motor activities of children with cerebral palsy(CP) and examinate relation between capacity(can do in a standardized environment), capability(can do in daily environment), and performance(does do in daily environment). Cross-sectional analysis with a assessment record of children with CP (n=40; 19males, 21 females; mean age 6y 6mo, SD 3y 8mo) was performed. Levels of severity according to the Gross Motor Function Classification System(GMFCS) included level1(13%), level2(10%), level3(43%), level 4(33%), and level 5(3%). Motor activities capacity was assessed by the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM-66). Capability and performance were assessed using 2 scales(functional skill, caregiver assistance) of the Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory(PEDI). Correlations between capacity and capability was 0.811(p < .05), and between capability and performance were high(r=0.711, p < .05). And the correlation between capacity and performance is the lowest(r=0.711, p < .05). Motor performance levels are only partly reflected by the motor capacity and motor capability levels in children with CP. Because performance is influenced by Contextual factors (particularly, social factors such as family function). This study suggests that it is necessary to distinguish and evaluate the capacity, capability, and performance in children with cerebral palsy.

Thus this study was to examine preservice teachers' attitudes and perception about multicultural education. The participants of the study comprised of 297 preservice teachers who were in the teacher preparation course. The questionnaire items consisted of 36 statements. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, correlation and t, F test. The results are as follows. First, on the basis of above, with respect to the reliability data, it is apparent that preservice teacher survey is adequate1y reliable. Second, needs of multicultural education and attitudes about cultural diversity of preservice teachers showed the positive correlation. Third, personal attitudes of preservice teachers about multicultural diversity were generally positive. Fourth, preservice teachers' expectation about the adequacy of curriculum in teacher preparation was low in compared with other factors. Attitudes about cultural diversity and attitudes preventing multicultural education showed the negative correlation. Based on this results, multicultural education should be reflected in the curriculum to meet diverse needs of preservice teachers. And teachers' attitudes and beliefs have an impact on their behaviors in the classroom, teachers preparation program for changes of their attitudes and beliefs should be developed.

  • A self-report evaluation is used to prevent driving accidents by elderly drivers. The majority of normal older adults may have mild cognitive impairment with reduced cognitive function. These depressed cognitive functions may be variables that affect the performance of elderly drivers. This study confirmed the cognitive functions that affect the self-reported evaluation for elderly drivers with mild cognitive impairment. Based on the results of the Korean Version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, 103 elderly drivers were classified into mild cognitive impairment and normal groups of elderly drivers. The Korean-Drivers 65 plus scores used in the self-reported evaluation of the two groups were compared, and the cognitive functions affecting the evaluation were analyzed. Results found the mild cognitive impairment group showed a significantly lower evaluation performance compared to the normal group, and the self-reported evaluation results of the elderly driver with mild cognitive impairment showed a significant correlation between visuoconstructional skills and delayed recall. As a result of regression analysis, the visuoconstructional skill was identified as the cognitive function with the strongest influence on the self-reported evaluation performance. Delayed recall was also found to have a partial effect but not at the level of altering the self-reported evaluation results of the elderly driver with mild cognitive impairment.

  • This study aims to look for the main transport road of the ancient Silk Road and to add to the hidden history of silk, where little is known about the weaving technology of the beautiful silk of GoJoseon. The research was through the analysis of relics of empirical data and analyzed the secondary data collected from books, papers, and photos of artifacts. The research questions are as follows: First, investigates the environment of silk production for GoJoseon KyungGeum and the correlation between ancient Silk Road and the East region. Second, examines the advanced weaving technology of KyungGeum in GoJoseon. The findings of the study are as follows: It is possible to infer the production period of silk in GoJoseon through jade silkworms from the Hongsan Dong-Yi culture of 4500 BC. KyungGeum pieces were excavated in Louran, Astana and Niya of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region and Noin-Ula of Mongolia, and the oldest KyungGeum was found in JoYang, one of the capitals of GoJoseon near Balhae Bay. KyungGeum was invented in the 11th century BCE here. It became the brocade and damask of the West, which were delivered through steppe road before the 5~6th century BCE. The production of KyungGeum was possible through the advanced loom which is GoJoseon's horizontal square 'Jewharu' loom combined with a high level of weaving skill. This can't be made through the slant loom of China nor vertical loom of the West Asia. Based on these results, it is suggested to continue the research on the history of ancient silkroad.
