PLZT박막의 제조 및 유전 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preparation and Dielectric Properties of the PLZT Thin Films.)

  • Thin film of the (Pb$\_$1-x/La.sub x/)(Zr$\_$0.25/Ti/Sub 0.48/) O$_3$(x=0~13[at%]) were prepared by Sol - Gel method. Multi-layer PLZT thin films were fabricated by spin-coating on Pt/Ti/SiO$_2$/Si substrate. The crystallinity and microstructure of the films were investigated with the sintering condition. At the sintering temperature of of 600[$^{\circ}C$], the perovskite phase was dominat. PLZT(11/52/48)thin films sintered at 600[$^{\circ}C$], 1[hr] had good dielectric constant (1236), dielectric loss (2.2[%]), remanent polarization (1.38[${\mu}$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$] and coercive field(16.86[ kV/cm]) respectively.

  • Low firing temperature substrate were synthesized through tape casting and sintering of glass with cordierite composition and then their properties were investigated. Even though the dielectric properties and XRD patterns of substrates, obtained by tape casting and sintering at 900~100$0^{\circ}C$ for various periods, were similar to those of substrates obtained by dry pressing, the sinterability was enhanced. The substrates were thin and the size was 0.6$\times$50$\times$50mm. From the results of dielectric properties, the sinterability and X-ray diffraction pattern, the proper condition for cofiring process with conductor, Cu, was 90$0^{\circ}C$ for 1h. The properties of the substrate are as follows; the dielectric constant was 5.31(at 1MHz), the dissipation factor was 0.0028, the apparent porosity was 0.28% and the main crystalline phase was $\alpha$-cordierite.

  • This study aims to manufacture non-sintering cement(NSC) by adding phosphogypsum(PG) and waste lime(WL) to granulated blast furnace slag(GBFS) as sulfate and alkali activators. This study also investigates the basic physical properties and hydration reaction of NSC, and evaluates its reusing possibility as construction material. Results obtained from this study have shown that GBFS was affected by $So_4^{2-}$ in waste PG and stimuli under wet condition, left slag components, created Ettringite and CSH gels, and eventually started being hydrated. These hydrated creations formed dense structures like CSH based on Ettringite and contributed in allowing the mortar to reveal high strength.

  • To study on the superconducting properties with cooling conditions, silver-sheathed Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O wires fabricated by the powder-in-tube method. The wires cooled down in the furnace, air and liquid NS12T after sintering at 840$^{\circ}C$ Critical current density of sample cooled in the furnace is 5.1${\times}$10S03TA/cmS02T and sample cooled in the air is 40A/cmS02T at 77K, zero magnetic field. The latter is very low critical current density of Bi system. 2223 high-Tc superconducting phase of sample cooled in the air was distroyed. Properties of sample cooled down in the liquid nitrogen is the same as cooled in the furnace.

저순도 알루미나 세라믹 가소결재의 피삭성

  • In this study, unsistered, pre-sintered and sintered low purity alumina ceramics were machined with various tools to clarify the machniability, the optimum tool materials and the optimum tool materials and the optimum cutting conditions. The maon conclusions obtained were as follows. (1) Machined withalloy steel tool, the machinabilty of te pre-sintered ceramics becomes better with the decrease of pre-sintering temperature, but that of unsintered ceramics(white body) was extremely poor. (2) In the case of carbide tool K01, the tool life in machining white body was the longest, and the machinabilty of pre-sintered ceramics becomes poorer with the increase of the pre-sintering temperature. (3) In the case of ceramic tool, the 10000-1100 .deg. C pre-sintered ceramics showed te best machinability within a certain cutting speed range. So far as dry machining, the above combination and conditions showed the highest productivity. (4) When the pre-sintered ceramics were wet machined withsintered diamond tool, the tool life becomes extremelylong, and higher cutting speed can be can be used than in the case offull-sintered ceramics. The productivity of wet cutting is much higher than that ofdry cutting.

  • The application field of porous mold is more and more expended. A mixture of alumina and cast iron is used for making porous mold using slip and vacuum casting method in this study. Slip casting is a process that slurry is poured into silicon rubber mold, dried in vacuum oven, debinded and sintered in furnace, In this procedure, slurry is composed of powder, binder, dispersion agent, and water. Vacuum casting is a technique for removing air bubbles existed in the slurry under vacuum condition. Since ceramics has a tendency of over-shrinkage after sintering, cast iron is used to compensate dimensional change. The results shows that sintering temperature has a great effect on characteristics of alumina-cast iron composite sintered parts. Finally ceramic-metal composite sintered mold can be used for aluminum alloy casting of shoe mold using this process.

  • X-ray diffraction intensity of barium ferrite sintered at $1280^{\circ}C$ as first sintering, varing mole ratio of barium carbonate and iron (III) oxide was checked. The results corresponed to of that magnetic coercivity in previous peport. The microstructure and sintering condition were observed-by means of two step replica method without etching by electron microscope.

Sintering Properties of Hydroxyapatite Derived from Tuna Bone

  • Hydroxyapatite (HA) ceramic was prepared using tuna bone powders and was characterized on properties of sintered samples. The aim was to prepare dense and bulk HA sintered suitable for clinical applications. Thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, microscopic observation, and mechanical evaluation were applied to characterize sintered HA to find optimum processing condition. The major phase of sintered HA was observed up to 1300$\^{C}$ and $\beta$-TCP was observed as temperature increased. The density of sintered HA was increased up to 1350$\^{C}$ and decreased with further increasing temperature. The flexural strength of sintered HA at 1350$\^{C}$ showed 58 MPa as the highest value in this work. The results suggest that the crystal phase and transformation characteristics of HA prepared from tuna bone are the same as the behavior of HA powders made by chemical synthesis.

Hydroxyapatite Bioceramics의 합성 및 물성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preparation and Properties of Hydroxyapatite Bioceramics)

  • In order to develope hydroxyapatite ceramics which has mechanical strength as bio-implant materials and get the basic data for the study and application of biocompatibility, hydroxyapatite was synthesized at Ca/P=1.67~1.75, pH 7~11 by precipitation method. Using prepared powders, the sintered body, fluorine substituted body and the porous body was formed and their properties were investigated. The sample obtained in condition of Ca/P=1.67, pH 7 and sintering at 1,15$0^{\circ}C$ was decomposed to $\beta$-tricalcium phosphate, and co-existed with hydroxyapatite. Hydroxyapatite synthesized at pH 11 was not easily decomposed to $\beta$-tricalcium phosphate at sintering process. The substitution of a small amount of fluorine for hydroxyapatite prevented hydroxyapatite from being decompsed to $\beta$-tricalcium phosphate. Hydroxyapatite ceramics which substited of 10% fluorine was prepared at 1,15$0^{\circ}C$, and the valueof bending strength for this body were found to be 112MPa.

Si-oxides가 ZnO varistor의 항복특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Si-oxides on the breakdown properties of ZnO varistor)

  • To enhance the breakdown properties of low voltage-oriented ZnO varistor, the samples were fabricated with the amounts of si-oxides and the sintering conditions. And then, to lower the breakdown voltage the $TiO_2$-added samples were fabricated. We investigated the nonlinear exponent, the nonlinear resistance and the V-I characteristics of samples. And we discussed with microstructures by use of SEM and the position of Si by EDS. Si-oxides, especially, largely enhanced the nonlinear exponent. In this case optimum sintering condition was $1200-1250^{\circ}C$-1hr and $TiO_2$ addition lowered the breakdown voltage.
