Bistatic spotlight synthetic aperture radar(BSSAR) with single track configuration uses the transmitter and the receiver which travel along the single track such as the leader-follower. For the BSSAR imaging, we modify the range migration algorithm. In time domain, we make the monostatic SAR using shifting of path, Then, in frequency domain, we compensate the separated distance between the scene center and the flight path using the principle of the stationary phase (PSP).

The objective of this study is to analyze customer needs for the configuration of an aircraft cockpit layout of a single piston propeller aircraft. From the result of survey, we figure out the demand of the potential customers. We consider control stick and instrument out of several items to determine which pay for the aircraft or not. We analyze types and features of the aircraft control stick and the instrument which are equipped in the same aircraft in order to figure out what is best needed through a market survey and a questionnaire survey.

We have developed a transflective liquid crystal display (LCD) with a single cell gap and a low twisted nematic (LTN) mode in combination with a self-integrated retardation layer. The retardation layer was made of UV curable liquid crystalline material in one step of photo masking process and has both the homeotropic and the planar parts. The proposed transflective configuration has advantages in a simple fabrication process, and the possibility for a single driving scheme due to the similarity between the transmittance and the reflectance.

Voltage sag and swell are the most severe factors affecting power quality in distribution systems. This paper discusses an approach to ensure a high quality power supply to critical loads appling voltage-sag compensator. The proposed system consists of a PWM voltage source inverter, connected in series with the line through a single-phase transformer. The operation Principle and Power circuit configuration of the proposed voltage sag compensator are introduced. And then the transfer function of compensator is derived from simplified single phase power circuit, and simulated so that the benefits of this proposed compensator is confirmed through the open loop response.

This paper presents an improved performance of heat transfer for shell-and-tube and thermal analysis based on the Bell-Delaware method for single tube. Heat transfer has been compared for a smooth tube, helical tube and surface-coated tube. In general, the results showed that properly designed helical tube and surface-coated tube offer a significant improvement in heat transfer. The numerical results derived from the Bell-Delaware method for the shell-side heat transfer coefficient were verified with experimental results. The thermal analysis aids significantly in the solution of the design problem.

Medical robotics and computer aided surgery in general, and robotic telesurgery in particular, are promising applications of robotics. In this paper, we shows a novel single-master (PHANTOM based single-master multi-slave telerobotic system) multi-slave system using two parallel mechanism micromanipulators as a slave device. After a general introduction to the systems structure and configuration of telerobotic system, a manipulation control strategy to build the system that human and both manipulators perform the cooperative manipulation, is introduced, followed by its kinematic analysis, mapping method, and experimental results.

We have constructed a narrow-linewidth single-longitudinal-mode unidirectional $Er^{3+}$ -doped fiber laser using a fiber Bragg grating incorporated by a three port optical circulator with a compact configuration. Using a conventional delayed self-heterodyne detection technique with Mach-Zehnder interferometer a linewidth of 5 kHz was measured. In a single-longitudinal-mode operation, output power of up to 2.7 mW at 1548 nm were obtained for a launched pump power of 43 mW at 980 nm.

Micro gas turbines are designed with low turbine inlet temperature and pressure ratio. To overcome the efficiency defect of the simple cycle, adoption of the recuperator is an inevitable choice. In addition to the design performance, we should also pay attention to the off-design performance of gas turbines since they usually operate at part-load conditions for a considerable amount of the time. This study aims at analyzing off-design performance characteristics of micro gas turbines and addressing the importance of the recuperator in the part load operation. Comparative analyses have been performed to evaluate the part load performance differences among various design and operating options : simple vs recuperative cycles, single vs two shaft configurations, various operating strategies for the single shaft configuration (fuel only control, variable speed operation, variable inlet guide vane control), and current vs advanced engines. Major finding is that maintaining turbine at high level is crucial in efficient operation of micro gas turbines.

Recently, supporting ATM networks under LINUX operating systems environment has been actively studied. An ATMARP server in a conventional LINUX environment was designed under the ATMARP single-server to operate independently within a Local IP Subnet(LIS). In this paper, an ATMARP multi-server is introduced and implemented an ATMARP-server managing multiple LIS's on the LINUX-based IPOA. The ATMARP protocol processing functions and addition/deletion functions on management tables are required to implement the ATMARP multi-server. These functions can solve the problem of increasing the number of ATMARP servers in ATMARP single-server environment. The file transmission experiment with a connection configuration between LIS's shows that multiple LIS' con be managed by an ATMARP-server. As the results, the ATMARP multi-server scheme yields a smaller number of servers than that of the conventional ATMARP single-server scheme, and the network composition can be improved substantially.

A singl-phase power factor corrected converter for switched reluctance motor hive is presented to achieve a sinusoidal and new unity power factor input currents. Because it combines a power factor corrected converter and a conventional asymmetric SRM driver into one power stage, the configuration has a simple structure resulted in low cost. A prototype to drive 6/6 poles SRM employing a parking magnet Is designed to evaluate the proposed topology. The characteristics and operational mode will be discussed in depth, and the validity of proposed driver will be verified through the experimental results.
