외부회로 방정식과 FEM을 이용한 Condensor Motor의 특성해석 (Simulation of A Condensor Motor Using an External Circuit and FEM)

  • A Single-phase condensor motor is analyzed by FEM coupled with external circuit. The finite element analysis is based on the solution of combined equation both the magnetic field equation from the Maxwell's and the circuit equations of the stator and rotor circuit. The external circuit of the single-phase condensor motor to be analyzed is described using FLUX2D and linked to multiple FEM regions. The simulated results show that the condensor motor analysis with external circuit has good agreement with those of test results.

  • 본 논문에서는 단상 유도전동기의 전자식 기동장치 개발에 관해 연구하였다. 전자식 기동장치는 콘덴서 기동형 단상 유도전동기의 보조권선 회로에 장착된 원심력 스위치를 대체하기 위해 활용된다. 개발된 전자식 기동장치는 보조권선의 전압을 관측하여 전동기가 정격속도에 가까워지면 보조권선을 전원으로부터 개방하는 역할을 수행한다. 범용 단상 유도전동기에 사용되고 있는 원심력스위치는 기계식 접점을 사용하기 때문에 접점에서 불꽃이 발생하고 전동기의 수명과 신뢰성을 저감시키는 요인이 된다. 개발된 전자식 기동장치는 무접점 반도체 스위치인 트라이악을 적용함으로써 전동기의 신뢰성과 특성이 개선될 수 있으며, 저전압 및 반복실험 등의 다양한 실험을 통해 신뢰성을 검증하였다.

  • This paper is about the design of half-bridge inverter controller with low cost and simple configuration for low power single-phase induction motor driving. The simple controller is composed of MCU and PLD. Also, to limit the overcurrent at initial driving, auxiliary function is added, and stabilizes the system. In order to verify the performance of the proposed methode, we design 500W inverter system, and in result, the response time of the proposed method compared with line voltage driving method is reduced by 200[msec].

  • This paper represents technique of optimum efficiency calculation for condenser run type single phase induction motor considering utilization rate. The material cost and loss expense are major factor of proposed algorithm. The simulation results are compared with experimental ones. And they are agreement with each other.

  • Most of the loads in industrial power distribution systems are balanced and connected to three power systems. However, in the user power distribution systems, most of the loads are single & three phase and unbalanced, generating voltage unbalance. This paper presents a scheme on operation states of a three-phase induction motor under unbalanced voltages. The three-phase voltages applied to the stator winding of the studied induction motor are controlled by respectively adjusting the magnitude and phase angle of each phase. The voltage unbalanced factor(VUF) of the three-phase source voltages can then be varied to examine the different values of VUF on machine's operation characteristics.

  • Single phase switched reluctance motor has a merit in practical use because it has simple operating drives and control systems, very high energy density per unit volume comparing with three phase SRM. But it must have a starting device. This paper presents a single phase SRM model with a stepped rotor pole, so as to reduce the torque ripple. Also it is simulated the designed prototype model by FEM for the prediction of characteristics.

  • This paper presents a novel two-phase two-pole permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with asymmetric U-core stator structure. The construction and parameters of the novel two-phase U-core PMSM are compared with a conventional U-core single-phase PMSM (SPMSM). Then transient characteristics such as torque, back-emf, and power loss of the both PMSMs are analyzed by using 3-D Finite Element Method (FEM). Under the same condition of rated input current, synchronous speed, similar dimensions and volume, FE results show that the two-phase PMSM with U-core stator has significantly less torque ripple than single-phase U-core PMSM, with similar power loss and efficiency.

  • This paper analyzes the stator winding currents of a three phase induction motor which is connected to the single phase supply. Two stator configurations, Steinmetz connection and modified Steinmetz connection, are respectively employed. In each case, the phase converter reactance at starting is determined using the condition of minimum voltage unbalance factor. By using this reactance, the stator winding currents of each connection are computed and compared with the results of three phase balanced operation.

  • This paper presents the analysis method for the torque characteristic of the 1-phase induction motor considering space harmonics in the air gap. The equivalent circuit method is used, where the circuit constants are obtained by classic theory. In addition, the space harmonic components in air gap magneto motive force are analyzed and added to the equivalent circuit to obtain accurate torque characteristics in low speed regions. Each torque component due to the harmonics is calculated and the total torque characteristic is obtained and compared with the measurement result.
