Manufacturing and test of magnetic bearings with HTS bulks (HTS 벌크를 이용한 자기 베어링의 제작 및 특성 시험)

  • The high temperature superconducting bulk can be used as the bearing of a motor. This paper presents the fabrication and test results of a motor with superconducting bearing using HTS bulks. The bearing used four hexahedron type YBCO bulks. Height, width and depth of the HTS bulk were 10mm, 30mm and 30mm, respectively. Single phase induction motor was used to drive the shaft and solid rotor was adopted for high speed rotation. Test results show the motor with HTS magnetic bearing can rotate silently and smoothly without any contact.

  • The winding design of a capacitor-run single-phase induction motor for changing two poles(2-/4-pole) is proposed for reducing the harmonics of Magneto Motive Force(MMF) in the airgap at 2-role. To improve motor performance, it is important to analyze exactly the harmonics and design the winding pattern for its harmonics reduction. The winding design method to reduce the harmonics is suggested in this paper and its characteristics are analyzed by using equivalent circuit considering harmonic components. The various performances of the pole change motor with the proposed winding pattern are compared with the experimental results.

The Change of Characteristics of Single Phase Induction Motor with Frequency Variation (주파수 변화에 의한 단상유도전동기의 특성해석)

  • The development of the frequency converter using semiconductor enables to easily control the speed of alternating current machineries. In such case, it is desired to observe how several characteristics are changed, such as primary current, power factor, torque, secondary output, efficiency and transient performance. In this paper, the above characteristics are investigated by means of computational method from various constants relating to the motor which is designed in rated frequency 60 cycles. Transient fluctuations in motor speed are also observed with graphical method. These have been validated by the experimental results. When the frequency is to be varied in order to control the speed, it is seen that some of characteristics are getting better and others worse contrarily. The above characteristics may be applied to the optimum electrical, mechanical design of the motor which puts emphases on speed control.

  • This paper describes a simple but effective method for energy saving of ac motors having a widely variable load. The proposed method is based on an optimal efficiency control which is operated by voltage-current pattern such as to maintain the maximum efficiency on the efficiency-output characteristics of the motor, in voltage control with triac. In this paper, authors present the experimental results of the SPIM under controlling of current of main and auxiliary winding by using a one chip microcontroller. Experiments are focused on a capacitor stating single phase induction motor the optimal energy saving are proved by the proposed method.

A new approach to calculation of running characteristics of a split phase type single phase induction motor (분상형 단상유도전동기의 특성계산의 신방안)

  • The variation of the voltage has been known to be harmful in the sound operation of motors. It also results in the variation in slip. If the voltage and slip are known, every characteristics of motors can be determined. This paper, therefore, analyzed numerically the characteristics of motors by the formula expressed in the function of both slip and voltage, and then satisfactorily compared with the experimental values. A new per-unit method derived in this paper is shown to be easier and simpler than the conventnional one in determining the relative running characteristics. It has also suggested the minimum allowable voltage when voltage below the rated value was applied to the motor. It is expected to apply to the determination of the characteristics under the voltage variation.

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적인 단상유도기의 권선 배치를 가지는 경우, 즉 주권선과 보조권선의 배치가 임의의 각을 가지는 경우에 대하여 등가회로를 구성하였다. 이때, 등가회로를 이용하여 최적 효율 확보 방법으로 평형 운전 및 고정자 동손 최소화를 적용하였다. 설계된 전동기에 대해 2차원 유한요소해석을 수행함으로써 비직교 권선 분포 설계 시 자기적 평형상태와 이로 인한 철손 및 회전자 저항손 저감 및 효율 개선 효과를 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 1개의 홀 전류센서를 사용하여 3상 유도전동기의 벡터제어 인버터를 구현한다. 기존 방식에서는 3상의 전류를 검출하기 위하여 2개의 홀 전류센서를 사용하므로 전체 시스템의 가격이 상승하는 요인이 되었다. 본 논문에서는 시스템의 저가격화를 위해 한 상의 전류는 홀 전류센서를 사용하여 검출하고, 다른 한 상의 전류는 Low-side switch와 DC 링크의 음극 사이에 삽입한 션트 저항을 사용하여 검출하는 방법을 제안하고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 성능을 검증한다.

  • 본 논문은 냉장고 컴프레서용 단상유도전동기의 고효율화를 위한 회전자의 알루미늄 충진율 향상에 관한 설계적 기법에 관한 연구이다. 기존의 주조 방식과 제안한 주조 방식을 적용한 회전자의 FEM 해석과 이을 기반으로 하는 실제 회전자를 제작 및 비교 실험을 통하여 제안한 방식의 충진율이 향상된 회전자가 효율이 증가함을 확인함으로써 제안한 방식의 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 실제 단상유도전동기의 정확한 특성예측을 위해 각종 기생성분, 즉 자기회로 포화 및 고조파에 의한 영향을 분석하였다. 특히 기동특성에 큰 영향을 주는 공간고조파 성분의 영향을 고려하기 위해 슬롯과 권선분포에 대한 고조파분석 및 고조파 등가회로를 구현하였다. 이로부터 동특성해석을 시행함으로써 공간고조파에 의한 기동에서의 기생토크효과를 분석하였다.

  • Capacitor-run motor has a capacitor id series with the auxiliary winding for normal running connections. After the shape of stator and rotor are determined, the motor is designed with variables such as winding distributions or capacitance except punching variables. In this paper, the winding distribution and the turn ratio was taken as design variables because the winding distribution affects the torque and efficiency. And capacitance was selected as an additional variable. Simulation results show the validity of proposed method.
