잉어에 있어서 Quinolones (Ciprofloxacin, Norfloxacin 및 Oxolinic acid)의 경구투여에 따른 장기내 분포상 (Distribution of Quinolones (Ciprofloxacin, Norfloxacin and Oxolinic acid) after Oral Administration in Carp (Cyprinus carpio))

  • 본 실험에서 잉어를 대상으로 CPF, NRF 및 OXA등의 약제를 어체당 20 mg/kg 현탁액을 경구투여 후에 1-96 시간 경시적으로 약물의 동태를 조사 하였다. 각 약제별 최고장기농도도달시간은 간장 (8 h), 혈액 (12 h), 신장(12 h) 및 근육 (24 h) 이었다. 각 약제별 최대농도는 CPF (13.8-19.6 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$), NRF (11.8-15.9 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$), 및 OXA (10.8-13.9 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$)순으로 나타났다. 약제농도는 최고치의 도달 이후 빠르게 소실되다가 48-96 h는 완만한 감소를 보였으며, 이때 장기별 약제농도는 근육 (3.3-6.3 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$)> 간장 (2.5-5.5 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$)> 신장 (2.3-4.2 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$) > 혈장 (2.1-3.0 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$)순으로 나타났다. 한편, OXA의 경우 다른 약제에 비해서 약물의 정체기가 나타났다. 즉 혈중은 12-36 h;, 고농도저류대 (24 hr; 10.9-8.8 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$), 근육은 36-96 h에 중간농도대 (60 hr; 8.5-5.8 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$) 및 간장은 12-96 h에 저농도대 (84 hr; 6.8-3.3 ${\mu}g$/$m\ell$)등이 형성되었다.약제의 혈중농도에 대한 각 장기농도비 (간장;L, 신장;K, 및 근육;M / 혈액;B)는 시간대에 따라 차이를 보였다. CPF는 즉 L>K>M (0.65-1.2/0.82-0.93/1.0-1.7)순으로 시간대별로 차이가 없었다. NRF는 시간대별로 1-8 h 및 12-24 h L>K>M (0.65-1.3/0.86-1.0)순이었으나, 36 h 이후 L>M>K (0.89-1.26)순이었다. OXA의 있어서는 1-8 h에는 L>K>M (0.95-2.1), 12-36에는 M>K>L (0.51-1.0) 및 48-96 h에는 M>L>K (1.0-2.3)으로 나타났다.

PMSG 반복투여가 Rat의 과배란에 미치는 영향에 대한 면역조직화학적 연구 1. 투여회수에 따른 난포수의 차이 (Immunohistochemical Study on the Superovulation Effected by Repeat of PMSG Administration in Rats 1. The Frequency of PMSG Administrations and Number of Follicles)

  • The purpose of this study was attempted to investigate the number changes of the growing and mature follicles in ovary following repeats of pregnant mare serum gonadotropin(PMSG) treatments for superovulation in nulliparous rats. Thirty two rats(Sprague-Dawely, about 200~250 gm) were randomized into 4 groups. Control group rats were sacrified at estrus phase confirmed by vaginal smear. PMSG-treated group 1 rats, PMSG-treated group 2 rats and PMSG-treated group 3 rats were sacrified at 48 hrs after injection once with PMSG 25 IU, after 2 repeated injection by a week interval, and 3 repeated injection, respectively. The uteri and ovaries of rats were removed and weighed and then were observed grossly and serial sections of all ovaries and some sections of uteri by paraffin embedding were stained with H-E. Number of ovarian follicles about 3 grades of small, middle and large follicles from seondary and follicles were investigated by LM photographies of ovary preparations. The criteria of the small, middle, and large follicles were based as small follicle with preantral follicles with 2~4 layers of granulosa cells surrounding the oocyte, as secondary follicles with more than 5 layers of granulosa cells and early signs of antral cavity or with small clefts on either side of the oocytes, and as tirtiary follicles with a single medium sized antral cavity or large well-formed antral cavity, respectively. In gross findings, the wall of the uteri in control group were thin, and those in 3 PMS-treated group were markedly thickened and some uterine lumen of those filled with fluid. In histological findings, the walls of the uteri from 3 PMSG-treated groups were hypertrophied and their blood and lymph vessels were dilated than those of control group. The ovaries fo 3 PMSG-treated groups were more increased in size and the cortexes were more developed and increased in width but there are no difference of development and changes in 3 PMSG-treated groups. The weight of the uteri and ovaries per rat in PMSG -treated group 1, 2 and 3 were a, pp.ared to be significantly increased 171.4$\pm$47.6%, 162.3$\pm$43.9%, 206.9$\pm$30.4%, respectively than those of control groups. The mean number of follicle per ovary in control group were a, pp.ared to be 17.1$\pm$3.5, 46.2$\pm$14.5, and 74.3$\pm$22.7 at large, middle and small follicles, respectively and total number of these 3 grade follicles per ovary were a, pp.ared to be 137.7$\pm$31.7. The mean number of follicle per ovary in PMSG-treated group 1 were a, pp.ared to be 25.6$\pm$7.3, 78.1$\pm$29.9, and 83.2$\pm$34.0, at large, middle and small follicles, respectively and total number of these 3 grade follicles were a, pp.ared to be 187.5$\pm$58.8. The mean number of follicle per ovary in PMS-treated group 2 were a, pp.ared to be 21.9$\pm$5.2, 67.8$\pm$16.8, and 68.0$\pm$14.9 at large, middle and small follicles, respectively and total number of these 3 grade follicles were a, pp.ared to be 157.7$\pm$26.2. The mean number of follicle per ovary in PMS-treated group 3 were a, pp.ared to be 21.7$\pm$4.8, 61.5$\pm$17.0, and 59.7$\pm$16.2 at large, middle and small follicles, respectively and total number of these 3 grade follicles were a, pp.ared to be 143.5$\pm$29.6. The number of follicles in PMSG-treated group 1 a, pp.ared to be more number than other 2 PMSG-treated gruops and tended to be decreased by frequency of PMSG-treatment.

기관지확장증의 흉부고해상전산화단층촬영소견과 폐기량 및 폐확산능과의 관계 (Lung Volumes and Diffusing Capacity in Bronchiectasis: Correlation with the Findings of High Resolutional CT)

  • 연구배경: 기관지확장증은 폐쇄성환기장애와 더불어 반복적인 폐감염으로 인한 주위 폐실질의 섬유화 및 흉막유착 등으로 인하여 경한 제한상 환기장애가 동반될 수 있다. 그리고 주위 폐실질의 과팽창이나 폐기종성변화도 관찰되어 이로 인한 폐용량 및 폐확산능의 변화가 예상된다. 방 법: 저자들은 1994년 1월부터 1996년 12월까지 경북대학교병원 호흡기내과에서 고해상전산화단층촬영으로 기관지확장증으로 진단된 40예를 대상으로 기관지확장증의 형태, 중증도, 범위 및 동반된 폐기종유무와 폐기량, 폐확산능의 관계를 후향적으로 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 결 과: 남자가 18예, 여자가 22예였으며 연령은 평균 53세였다. 고해상전산화단층촬영소견상 원통형이 24예, 낭종형이 16예였으며, 기관지확장증이 있는 평균 폐 구역수는 원통형과 낭종형에서 각각 4.7개 및 7.0개로 낭종형에서 유의하게 많았다 (p<0.05). 확장증의 형태 및 중증도에 따른 VC는 낭종형에서 그리고 기관지확장증의 중증도가 심할수록 감소하는 경향이 있었고 RV, TLC, RV/TLC는 유의한 차이가 없었다. LCI는 원통형에 비해 낭종형에서 유의하게 증가하였으며(p<0.05), 기관지확장증의 중증도에 따를 차이는 없었다. $\triangle$N2/L은 확장증의 형태 및 중증도에 따른 차이가 없었으며 개인차가 심하였다. $D_{LCO}$$D_{LCO}/V_A$는 원통형에 비해 낭종형에서 유의하게 감소하였으며(각각 p<0.1, p<0.05), 확장증의 중증도에 따라서 뚜렷히 감소하였다 (p<0.05). 기관지확장증의 범위와 폐기능성적들과의 상관계수는 VC, $D_{LCO}$ 및 LCI가 각각 -0.322, -0.339, 0.487로 유의한 관계가 있었으나 RV, TLC, RV/TLC, $\triangle$N2/L와 $D_{LCO}/V_A$는 유의한 관계가 없었다. 고해상전산화단층촬영상의 폐기종의 범위와 폐기능성적들과의 상관계수는 VC 및 $D_{LCO}$는 각각 -0.574, -0.381로 유의한 관계가 있었으며 RV, RV/TLC, LCI와 $\triangle$N2/L도 각각 0.435, 0.552, 0.333과 0.427로 유의한 관계가 있었다. 결 론: 이상의 결과로 낭종형과 기관지확장증의 중증도에 따른 폐활량 및 폐확산능의 감소와 흡기의 폐내분포는 기관지확장증의 범위 및 동반된 폐기종의 범위와 관계가 있고, 잔기량은 동반된 폐기종과 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

비자성 이온 Ga, In이 치환된 유화물 스피넬의 뫼스바우어 분광학 연구 (The Effect of Non Magnetic ion Substitution for the FeCr2-xMxS4(M=Ga, In) by Mossbauer Spectroscopy)

  • 단일상 $FeCr_{2-x}M_xS_4$ (M=Ga, In; x=0.1, 0.3)에 대하여 x-선 회절기(XRD), 진동 시료 자화율 측정기(VSM), 뫼스바우어 분광기를 이용하여 비자성 이온의 치환효과를 연구하였다. 결정구조는 Rietveld프로그램을 이용하여 공간그룹이 Fd3m[Fe, Ga, In(8a); Cr, Ga, In(160); S(32e) (u, u, u)]인 입방 스피넬 구조임을 확인하였다. 비자성 이온 Ga이 치환된 시료의 경우, Ga이 치환 될수록 격자상수가 10.007에서 $9.996\;{\AA}$,으로 감소하는 반면, In이 치환된 시료의 경우, In이 치환 될수록 격자상수가 10.029에서 $10.092\;{\AA}$로 증가함을 확인하였다 VSM측정 결과 Ga과 In이 치환 될수록 Neel온도는 각각 180에서 188K, 173에서 160K로 변화하였는데, 이것은 격자상수의 변화에 따른 사면체 자리(A자리)와 팔면체 자리(B 자리)의 초교환 상호작용 세기의 변화로 해석 할 수 있었다 $4.2K\~300K$의 온도범위에 걸쳐서 뫼스바우어 스펙트럼을 분석한 결과 Fe이온이 각각 A자리와 B자리에 점유함을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이것은 비자성 이온 Ga과 In 이 A자리의 Fe이온의 비대칭적인 전하 분포를 야기시키는 것으로 해석할 수 있었다. 또한 Cr-S의 결합거리를 비교해 본 결과, $FeCr_{2-x}Ga_xS_4$(x=0.3)와 RFeCr_{2-x}In_xS_4$ (x=0.3)가 각각 2.41, $2.43\;{\AA}$$FeCr_{2-x}Ga_xS_4$(x=0.3)의 결합거리가 작아 공유 결합력이 커짐에 따라 비대칭적인 전하 분포를 유도함으로 해석할 수 있다. 이는 큰 전기 사중극자를 유도하는 결과와 일치함을 알 수 있었다.

Modified Oxalate Method 의해 합성한 SOFC용(La0.6Sr0.4)(Co0.2Fe0.8)O3 Cathode의 pH 변화에 따른 특성 (Synthesis and Electrochemical Properties of (La0.6Sr0.4)(Co0.2Fe0.8)O3 cathode for SOFC on pH Control Using Modified Oxalate Method)

  • Modified oxalate method에 의해 합성한 중온형 Solid Oxide Fuel Cell 용 LSCF cathoded의 pH 변화에 따른 분말특성 및 여러 종류의 전해질에 따른 전극특성에 대해 연구하였다. LSCF를 합성하기 위한 출발물질로는 La, Sr, Co 및 Fe의 염화물과 oxalic acid, ethanol 및 $NH_4OH$를 사용하여, $80^{\circ}C$ 에서 pH 2, 6, 7, 8, 9 및 10에서 합성하였다. 합성한 LSCF 분말은 pH $2{\sim}9$까지는 단일상의 LSCF 결정상을 생성하였다. 그러나, PH 10에서는 LSCF결정상 외에 이차상인 $La_2O_3$ 결정상이 나타났으며, 또한 $800^{\circ}C$에서 4시간 하소한 경우 50 nm정도의 작은 크기를 나타내었다. 합성한 LSCF cathode 분말의 전기전도도는 pH 7에서 합성한 LSCF 분말의 경우 $600^{\circ}C$부터 $900^{\circ}C$까지 측정하였을 때 약 950 S/cm의 높은 값을 나타내었다. 또한 분극저항의 경우 같은 합성 조건에서 합성한 LSCF 분말이라도 하소조건에 따라 다른 결과를 나타내었는데, $800^{\circ}C$에서 하소한 분말의 경우 $1200^{\circ}C$에서 하소한 분말 보다 낮은 분극저항을 나타내었다. 특히 $800^{\circ}C$에서 4시간 하소하여 합성한 LSCF 분말은 $600^{\circ}C$에서 Scandia Stabilized Zirconia (ScSZ), yttria (8mol.%)-stabilized zirconia(8Y-YSZ) 및 Gadolinium Doped Ceria(GDC) 전해질을 사용하였을 때, 전극면적이 $0.5\;cm^2$일 때 각각 2.52, 1.54 및 $2.58\;{\Omega}$을 나타내었다.

설비공학 분야의 최근 연구 동향 : 2012년 학회지 논문에 대한 종합적 고찰 (Recent Progress in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Research : A Review of Papers Published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering in 2012)

  • This article reviews the papers published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering during 2012. It is intended to understand the status of current research in the areas of heating, cooling, ventilation, sanitation, and indoor environments of buildings and plant facilities. The conclusions are as follows : (1) The research works on thermal and fluid engineering have been reviewed as groups of fluid machinery, pipes and valves, fuel cells and power plants, ground-coupled heat pumps, and general heat and mass transfer systems. Research issues are mainly focused on new and renewable energy systems, such as fuel cells, ocean thermal energy conversion power plants, and ground-coupled heat pump systems. (2) Research works on the heat transfer area have been reviewed in the categories of heat transfer characteristics, pool boiling and condensing heat transfer, and industrial heat exchangers. Researches on heat transfer characteristics included the results for natural convection in a square enclosure with two hot circular cylinders, non-uniform grooved tube considering tube expansion, single-tube annular baffle system, broadcasting LED light with ion wind generator, mechanical property and microstructure of SA213 P92 boiler pipe steel, and flat plate using multiple tripping wires. In the area of pool boiling and condensing heat transfer, researches on the design of a micro-channel heat exchanger for a heat pump, numerical simulation of a heat pump evaporator considering the pressure drop in the distributor and capillary tubes, critical heat flux on a thermoexcel-E enhanced surface, and the performance of a fin-and-tube condenser with non-uniform air distribution and different tube types were actively carried out. In the area of industrial heat exchangers, researches on a plate heat exchanger type dehumidifier, fin-tube heat exchanger, an electric circuit transient analogy model in a vertical closed loop ground heat exchanger, heat transfer characteristics of a double skin window for plant factory, a regenerative heat exchanger depending on its porous structure, and various types of plate heat exchangers were performed. (3) In the field of refrigeration, various studies were executed to improve refrigeration system performance, and to evaluate the applicability of alternative refrigerants and new components. Various topics were presented in the area of refrigeration cycle. Research issues mainly focused on the enhancement of the system performance. In the alternative refrigerant area, studies on CO2, R32/R152a mixture, and R1234yf were performed. Studies on the design and performance analysis of various compressors and evaporator were executed. (4) In building mechanical system research fields, twenty-nine studies were conducted to achieve effective design of mechanical systems, and also to maximize the energy efficiency of buildings. The topics of the studies included heating and cooling, HVAC system, ventilation, renewable energy systems, and lighting systems in buildings. New designs and performance tests using numerical methods and experiments provide useful information and key data, which can improve the energy efficiency of buildings. (5) In the fields of the architectural environment, studies for various purposes, such as indoor environment, building energy, and renewable energy were performed. In particular, building energy-related researches and renewable energy systems have been mainly studied, reflecting interests in global climate change, and efforts to reduce building energy consumption by government and architectural specialists. In addition, many researches have been conducted regarding indoor environments.

Perfluoropolymer Membranes of Tetrafluoroethylene and 2,2,4Trifluofo- 5Trifluorometoxy- 1,3Dioxole.

  • Perfluoropolymers represent the ultimate resistance to hostile chemical environments and high service temperature, attributed to the presence of fluorine in the polymer backbone, i.e. to the high bond energy of C-F and C-C bonds of fluorocarbons. Copolymers of Tetrafluoroethylene (TEE) and 2, 2, 4Trifluoro-5Trifluorometoxy- 1, 3Dioxole (TTD), commercially known as HYFLON AD, are amorphous perfluoropolymers with glass transition temperature (Tg)higher than room temperature, showing a thermal decomposition temperature exceeding 40$0^{\circ}C$. These polymer systems are highly soluble in fluorinated solvents, with low solution viscosities. This property allows the preparation of self-supported and composite membranes with desired membrane thickness. Symmetric and asymmetric perfluoropolymer membranes, made with HYFLON AD, have been prepared and evaluated. Porous and not porous symmetric membranes have been obtained by solvent evaporation with various processing conditions. Asymmetric membranes have been prepared by th wet phase inversion method. Measure of contact angle to distilled water have been carried out. Figure 1 compares experimental results with those of other commercial membranes. Contact angles of about 120$^{\circ}$for our amorphous perfluoropolymer membranes demonstrate that they posses a high hydrophobic character. Measure of contact angles to hexandecane have been also carried out to evaluate the organophobic character. Rsults are reported in Figure 2. The observed strong organophobicity leads to excellent fouling resistance and inertness. Porous membranes with pore size between 30 and 80 nanometers have shown no permeation to water at pressures as high as 10 bars. However high permeation to gases, such as O2, N2 and CO2, and no selectivities were observed. Considering the porous structure of the membrane, this behavior was expected. In consideration of the above properties, possible useful uses in th field of gas- liquid separations are envisaged for these membranes. A particularly promising application is in the field of membrane contactors, equipments in which membranes are used to improve mass transfer coefficients in respect to traditional extraction and absorption processes. Gas permeation properties have been evaluated for asymmetric membranes and composite symmetric ones. Experimental permselectivity values, obtained at different pressure differences, to various single gases are reported in Tab. 1, 2 and 3. Experimental data have been compared with literature data obtained with membranes made with different amorphous perfluoropolymer systems, such as copolymers of Perfluoro2, 2dimethyl dioxole (PDD) and Tetrafluorethylene, commercialized by the Du Pont Company with the trade name of Teflon AF. An interesting linear relationship between permeability and the glass transition temperature of the polymer constituting the membrane has been observed. Results are descussed in terms of polymer chain structure, which affects the presence of voids at molecular scale and their size distribution. Molecular Dyanmics studies are in progress in order to support the understanding of these results. A modified Theodoru- Suter method provided by the Amorphous Cell module of InsightII/Discover was used to determine the chain packing. A completely amorphous polymer box of about 3.5 nm was considered. Last but not least the use of amorphous perfluoropolymer membranes appears to be ideal when separation processes have to be performed in hostile environments, i.e. high temperatures and aggressive non-aqueous media, such as chemicals and solvents. In these cases Hyflon AD membranes can exploit the outstanding resistance of perfluoropolymers.

$[^{123}I]$Idoxifene 합성과 유방암의 세포섭취에 관한 연구 (Study for the Synthesis of $[^{123}I]$Idoxifene and Its Uptake in the Breast Cancer Cell)

  • 목적: 현재 유방암 치료제로서 임상실험 제 2단계에 들어간 idoxifene은 항에스트로겐 의약품으로서 기존의 tamoxifen보다도 많은 장점을 가지고 있는 것으로 연구결과 밝혀졌다. 또한 방사성 동위원소 $[^{123}I]$를 표지한 $[^{123}I]$idoxifene은 SPECT을 이용한 유방암세포를 영상화하여 조기에 진단할 수 있는 진단시약으로서 널리 각광 받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 idoxifene의 전구체를 합성하고 $[^{123}I]$를 표지하여 세포 내 섭취론 관찰하였다. 대상 및 방법: $[^{123}I]$idoxifene을 위한 전구체는 McCague가 연구 발표한 자료를 바탕으로 (2-chloroethoxy)benzene과 2-phenylbutanoic acid를 출발물질로 하여 합성하였다. 표지는 $[^{123}I]$를 사용하였으며 분리는 Silica Sep-Pak을 사용하였으며 세포 내 섭취실험은 에스트로겐 리셉터를 가진 MCF-7과 대조군으로서 에스트로겐 리셉터가 없는 MDA-MB-468을 이용하였다. 결과 및 결론: Idoxifene의 전구체인 4-stannylated 화합물의 합성수율은 약 30%이었으며, $[^{123}I]$ 표지는 60분 경과에서 $90{\sim}92%$로 최대의 표지수율을 보였으며 방사화학적 순도는 98%이상이었다. 또한 세포 내 섭취실험에서 실험군과 대조군 사이에 섭취비율은 180분에서 1.7:1로 나타나 idoxifence은 항에스트로겐 효과가 아주 높은 것으로 판명되었다. 이를 바탕으로 배양세포와 동물모델을 이용한 추가적인 실험이 필요하며, 유방암 환자에게도 임상이용이 기대된다.

혈액-뇌장벽 투과성에 대한 히스타민의 영향 (Influences of Histamine on Permeability across Blood-brain Barrier)

  • Histamine, 0.5 mg as histamine base in 4 ml of normal saline solution, was injected into rabbits anesthetized with nembutal and the mean blood pressure was kept in the range of $52{\sim}80\;mmHg$ for over one hour by supplemental additions. Following the injection of the test substances, 300 mg of urea and 200 mg of antipyrine intravenously, serial blood samples were obtained from the femoral artery and the internal jugular vein at $0.5{\sim}3$ minutes interval. The decreasing patterns in the concentrations of arterial and venous blood plasma samples were compared with each other. The ratio of the concentration of brain tissue to that of the final arterial plasma was also studied. By these measures the degrees of penetration of the test substances in the brain in the control and in the histamine treated rabbits were observed. The concentrations of antipyrine and urea in the arterial blood plasma were decreasing exponentially with respect to the time elapsed. The venous concentrations were anticipated to increase initially and to cross the arterial concentration curve in the point of equlibrium between the plasma and the tissue. On the contrary to the expectation venous concentration also revealed the decreasing tendency similar to that of arterial plasma. The similarity between these two curves, arterial and venous, would be atributable to the fact that the cerebral blood flow rate was large enough and the rising phase in the venous concentration curve was instantly over before serial blood samples were taken. Inspite of some similarity in the decreasing tedency in both concentration curves there were appreciable discrepancies between the arterial and venous plasma which would reflect the situation far from the equlibria among several compartments in the brain. Changes in plasma potassium levels caused by the injection of histamine or bleeding were observed, too. Using 8 rabbits as the control and 12 rabbits for the histamine treated group following results were obtained: 1. Both of the concentration curves, arterial and venous, declined rapidly at_first and slowly later on and approached same equilibrium concentration with the passage of time after a single injection. The time at which attained the same concentration was $2.0{\pm}0.54\;min.$ in the control and $4.3{\pm}1.92\;min.$ in the histamine treated group with respect to antipyrine. On the other hand in the case of urea they were $2.4{\pm}0.59\;min.$ in the control and $4.4{\pm}1.31\;min.$ in the histamine group, respectively. In the histamine treated group enlarged spaces for distribution of test substances were postulated. 2. The concentration of antipyrine in the brain tissue water revealed no significant differences between the control and experimental groups, showing $212{\pm}40.2\;mg/l$ in the control and $206{\pm}64.1\;mg/l$ in the histamine treated group. On the other hand urea revealed higher value in the histamine treated group than in the control, showing an enhanced penetration of urea into the tissue after injection of histamine. Urea concentration in the brain water was $32.3{\pm}3.36\;mg%$ in the control and $39.2{\pm}4.25\;mg%$ in the histamine treated group. 3. The distribution ratio of antipyrine in the brain tissue was very close to unity in the histamine treated animals as well as in the control. 4. The average of the distribution ratio of urea in the control animals was 0.77 and it showed the presence of blood-brain barrier with regard to urea. However in the histamine treated animals the distribution ratios climbed up to 0.86 and they were closer to unity than in the control animals. Out of 12 cases 5 were greater than 0.9 and 8 exceeded 0.85. It appeared that histamine enhanced the penetration of urea through the barrier. 5. Histamine injection and or hemorrhage caused an elevation of the concentration of potassium in plasma. In the event that histamine and hemorrhage were applied together the elevation of potassium exceed the elevation seen at the histamine alone. There was no evidence that the leakage of potassium from the brain tissue was dominant in comparison with the general leakage from the whole body.

  • 암 억제제인 $p16^{INK4A}$ 단백질의 활성부위 84-104번까지의 21개 아미노산으로 이루어진 펩타이드를 합성하여, 이것의 용액상 구조를 CD, $^1H$ NMR 분광법 그리고, 분자 모델링 방법으로 분석하였다. CDK4 그리고 CDK6와 함께 안정된 complex를 형성하는 p16의 활성 펩타이드(84-104 아미노산)는 in vitro에서 pRb를 인산화하는 CDK4/6의 능력을 차단하고, p16단백질의 기능에서 보여주듯이 G1/S상의 세포 Cycle을 차단한다. NOE를 포함하는 $^3J_{NH{\alpha}}$ 스핀결합 상수, $C_{\alpha}H$ 화학적 이동, 아마이드 화학적 이동의 평균 변화 폭 그리고 온도 계수 등은 p16 펩타이드의 이차구조가 helix-turn-helix의 구조를 구성하는 p16단백질과 유사한 2차 구조를 가지고 있음을 보여주었다. NOE에 근거한 거리 및 이면각을 이용한 3.D 기하구조는 p18이나 p19의 대응하는 부위에 대한 결정구조에서 보여준 바와 같이 아미노산 $Gly^{89}-Leu^{91}$(${\varphi}_{i+1}=-79.8^{\circ}$, ${\varphi}_{i+1}=60.2^{\circ}$)사이에는 ${\gamma}$-회전구조를 형성함을 보여주었다. 이렇게 비교적 단단한 구조를 형성하고 있는 ${\gamma}$-회전구조부위는 p16펩타이드 구조를 안정시키며, CDK를 인식하는 부위로 작용할 수 있다. 이러한 ${\gamma}$-회전구조는 항암제 선도물질을 개발하는데 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
