Sensitivity analysis of the cylindrical zigzag cams under acceleration and centrifugal forces is performed. A Lagrangian method is used to determine the mechanism constant of zigzag track, And the equation of motion for cylindrical zigzag cam under rectangular pulse is derived by the governing equations of a single spring mass system. The ratio of the drive force tn resisting force is derived by angular acceleration, centrifugal force and setback force on the operation of the munition. The theoretical sensitivity curves for 3 models are analyzed. And experiments for 3 models are conducted to check safe and functional zone. Zigzag cam types can be satisfied all major design requirements for switch system of munition.

This paper introduces a general purpose Associative Processor(AP) which is very efficient for search-oriented applications. The proposed architecture consists of three main functional blocks: Content-Addressable Memory(CAM) arry, row logic, and control section. The proposed AP is a Single-Instruction, Multiple-Data(SIMD) device based on a CAM core and an array of high speed processors. As an application for the proposed hardware, we present a parallel algorithm to solve a global routing problem in the layout process utilizing the processing capabilities of a rudimentary logic and the selective matching and writing capability of CAMs, along with basic algorithms such a minimum(maximum) search, less(greater) than search and parallel arithmetic. We have focused on the simultaneous minimization of the desity of the channels and the wire length by sedking a less crowded channel with shorter wire distance. We present an efficient mapping technique of the problem into the CAM structure. Experimental results on difficult examples, on randomly generated data, and on benchmark problems from MCNC are included.
Calmodulin (CaM) proteins, members of the EF-hand family of $Ca^{2+}$-binding proteins, represent important relays in plant calcium signals. Here, OsCam1-1 was isolated by PCR amplification from the rice genome. The gene contains an ORF of 450 base pairs with a single intron at the same position found in other plant Cam genes. A promoter region with a TATA box at position-26 was predicted and fused to a gus reporter gene, and this construct was used to produce transgenic rice by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. GUS activity was observed in all organs examined and throughout tissues in cross-sections, but activity was strongest in the vascular bundles of leaves and the vascular cylinders of roots. To examine the properties of OsCaM1-1, the encoding cDNA was expressed in Escherichia coli. The electrophoretic mobility shift when incubated with $Ca^{2+}$ indicates that recombinant OsCaM1-1 is a functional $Ca^{2+}$-binding protein. In addition, OsCaM1-1 bound the CaMKII target peptide confirming its likely functionality as a calmodulin.

Recently, the number of camera companies that produce commercializing interchangeable lens systems such as digital single lens reflex (DSLR) and compact system camera (CSC) lenses has been gradually increasing. These interchangeable lenses have various kinds of lenses with distinct specifications. In particular, the distance window among these specifications is the function most preferred by customers. Mechanical manual zoom and manual focus in these high end camera lenses with a distance window are in particular desirable specifications and are required for product quality. However, the AF lens group is linked to the zoom cam and moves. Because the AF lens group moves along with the object distance, we can not realize the distance window with only zoom locus calculation. In this paper, in order to solve the problem, we suggest an optical calculation method for a corrected AF zoom cam for an interchangeable lens with a distance window to achieve product differentiation and analyze the error in the calculation.

Miller timing is one of the promising ways which can improve the fuel consumption of internal combustion engines. Indeed, Miller timing employing an early intake valve close is widely applied to large diesel and gas engines to enhance performance and reduce NOx emissions. In this study, performance evaluation is carried out by 1-D cycle simulation in order to estimate the effect of Miller CAM timing before BDC for a 32 L turbocharged diesel engine. To optimize Miller CAM timing, a single stage turbocharger is matched with an early intake valve close since boost pressure is a significant parameter that can control compression work in a turbocharged engine. The engine simulation result shows that there is enough potential to improve fuel consumption rate and also reduce NOx emissions at the same time.Abstract here.

PURPOSE. The aim of this study was to investigate shade changes in fully- and pre-crystalized CAD-CAM lithium disilicate crowns after the required and additional firing processes. MATERIALS AND METHODS. One hundred and five crowns of shade A1 with high translucency were milled out of CAD-CAM lithium disilicate blocks and categorized as follows (n = 15): (1) restorations fabricated from Straumann n!ce with no additional sintering process; (2) restorations fabricated from Straumann n!ce with one additional sintering process; (3) restorations fabricated from Straumann n!ce with two additional sintering processes; (4) restorations fabricated from Amber Mill with one sintering process; (5) restorations fabricated from Amber Mill with two sintering processes; (6) restorations fabricated from IPS e.max CAD with one sintering process; (7) restorations fabricated from IPS e.max CAD with two sintering processes. All restorations were evaluated with a color imaging spectrophotometer. RESULTS. All restorations presented some color alteration from the original shade both after a single and after two firing processes. CONCLUSION. The required and additional sintering processes for restorations fabricated with chairside CAD-CAM lithium disilicate blocks cause an alteration of the original shade selected. Shade A1 high translucency restorations tend to change to a more yellowish B1 shade after a sintering process.
PURPOSE. To compare marginal and internal gaps of zirconia substructure of single crowns with those of three-unit fixed dental prostheses. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Standardized Co-Cr alloy simulated second premolar and second molar abutments were fabricated and subsequently duplicated into type-III dental stone for working casts. After that, all zirconia substructures were made using $Lava^{TM}$ system. Marginal and internal gaps were measured in 2 planes (mesial-distal plane and buccal-palatal plane) at 5 locations: marginal opening (MO), chamfer area (CA), axial wall (AW), cusp tip (CT) and mid-occlusal (OA) using Replica technique. RESULTS. There were significant differences between gaps at all locations. The $mean{\pm}SD$ of marginal gap in premolar was $43.6{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ and $46.5{\pm}0.5{\mu}m$ for single crown and 3-unit bridge substructure respectively. For molar substructure the $mean{\pm}SD$ of marginal gap was $48.5{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ and $52.6{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ for single crown and 3-unit bridge respectively. The largest gaps were found at the occlusal area, which was $150.5{\pm}0.5{\mu}m$ and $154.5{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ for single and 3-unit bridge premolar substructures respectively and $146.5{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ and $211.5{\pm}0.4{\mu}m$ for single and 3-unit bridge molar substructure respectively. CONCLUSION. Independent-samples t-test showed significant differences of gap in zirconia substructure between single crowns and three-unit bridge (P<.001). Therefore, the span length has the effect on the fit of zirconia substructure that is fabricated using CAD/CAM technique especially at the occlusal area.
When restoring a tooth, the dentist tries to choose the ideal material for existing situation. One criterion that is considered is its suitability for restoring coronal strength. As more tooth structure is removed, the cusps are weakened and susceptible to fracture. Further, this increased deformation may cause the formation of intermittent gaps at the margin between the hard tissue and the restoration, facilitating marginal leakage. The improvements in ceramic materials now make it possible for alternatives to amalgams, composites, and cast metal to be of offered for posterior teeth. Of the materials used, ceramics most closely approximates the properties of enamel. The introduction of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacture(CAD/CAM) systems to restorative dentistry represents a major technological breakthrough. It is possible to design and fabricate ceramic restorations at a single appointment. Additionally, CAD/CAM systems eliminate certain errors and inaccuracies that are inherent to the indirect method and provide an esthetic restoration. The aim of this investigation was to study the loading characteristics of CAD/CAM ceramic inlay and to compare the stress distribution and displacement associated with different designs of cavity(the isthmus width and cavity depth). A human maxillary left first premolar was prepared with standard mesio-occlusal cavity preparation, as recommended by the manufacturer Ceramic inlay was fabricated with CEREC 2 CAD/CIM equipment and cemented into the prepared cavity. Three dimensional model was made by the serial photographic method. The cavity width was varied $\frac{1}{3}$, $\frac{1}{2}$ and $\frac{2}{3}$ of intercuspal distance between buccal and lingual cusp tip. The cavity depth was varied 1.5mm and 2.3mm. So six models were constructed to simulate six conditions. A point load of 500N was applied vertically onto the first node of the lingual slope from the buccal cusp tip. The stress distribution and displacement were solved using ANSYS finite element program(Swanson Analysis System). (omitted)
Objectives: Our study aimed to determine the attitudes of second- and final-year medical students and doctors (teaching faculty) of modern medicine towards complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) using the Complementary, Alternative, and Integrative Medicine Attitude Questionnaire (CAIMAQ). Methods: We invited 248 second-year medical students, 245 final-year medical students, and 48 faculty members to participate in the study. The CAIMAQ consists of 30 items, divided into five categories assessing various aspects of CAM, and scored using a 7-point Likert scale. The median scores obtained were compared between groups; a p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: A total of 138 medical students and faculty responded and participated in the study, of which, 24 (17.4%) were faculty, 40 (29%) were final-year medical students and 74 (53.6%) were second-year medical students. The overall attitude towards the various CAM concepts and therapies was positive. In general, the faculty were significantly less likely to consider referring patients for CAIM treatments, integrating them with conventional medicine, referring patients to alternative healthcare providers, considering the use of subtle energy fields as an ethical form of treatment, or considering CAIM treatments to be less invasive and harmful compared with conventional medicine. There was no significant difference in the attitudes of second- and final-year students. Conclusion: The attitude of medical students and doctors towards CAM is positive, and although the medical faculty have reservations in recommending specific types of CAM therapies or integrating them with conventional care, building evidence for supporting CAM therapies in specific diseases is likely to increase its uptake among health care professionals.
Purpose: This study was performed in order to assess the effect of the surface treatment methods and the use of bonding agent on the shear bond strength (SBS) between the aged CAD-CAM (computer aided design-computer aided manufacturing) hybrid materials and added composite resin. Materials and methods: LAVA Ultimate (LU) and VITA ENAMIC (VE) specimens were age treated by submerging in a $37^{\circ}C$ water bath filled with artificial saliva (Xerova solution) for 30 days. The surface was ground with #220 SiC paper then the specimens were divided into 9 groups according to the combination of the surface treatment (no treatment, grinding, air abrasion with aluminum oxide, HF acid) and bonding agents (no bonding, Adper Single Bond 2, Single Bond Universal). Each group had 10 specimens. Specimens were repaired (added) using composite resin (Filtek Z250), then all the specimens were stored for 7 days in room temperature distilled water. SBS was measured and the fractured surfaces were observed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM). One-way ANOVA and Scheffe test were used for statistical analysis (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: Mostly groups with bonding agent treatment showed higher SBS than groups without bonding agent. Among the groups without bonding agent the groups with aluminum oxide treatment showed higher SBS. However there was no significant difference between groups except two subgroups within LU group, which revealed a significant increase of SBS when Single Bond Universal was used on the ground LU specimen. Conclusion: The use of bonding agent when repairing an aged LAVA Ultimate restoration is recommended.
