  • The single-phase SRM(switched reluctance motor) has only one inductance variation and the positive torque is not generated in all section. So, the single-phase SRM can be started by itself if the rotor is placed at the positive slope of inductance variation by the starting device. In the previous study, equation of the magnetic force of the starting device at the acting point is derived. This paper describes the calculation of the magnetic force at the acting point by making an experiments.

Single Polysilicon EEPROM Cell and High-voltage Devices using a 0.25 μ Standard CMOS (0.25 μm 표준 CMOS 로직 공정을 이용한 Single Polysilicon EEPROM 셀 및 고전압소자)

  • For low-cost embedded EEPROM, in this paper, single polysilicon EEPROM and n-channel high-voltage LDMOST device are developed in a $0.25{\mu}m$ standard CMOS logic process. Using these devices developed, the EEPROM chip is fabricated. The fabricated EEPROM chip is composed of 1 Kbit single polysilicon EEPROM away and high voltage driver circuits. The program and erase characteristics of the fabricated EEPROM chip are evaluated using 'STA-EL421C'. The fabricated n-channel high-voltage LDMOST device operation voltage is over 10 V and threshold voltage window between program and erase states of the memory cell is about 2.0 V.

A Study of the CT MAR using Single-Source and Dual-Source Devices: Practical Comparison using Animal Phantom Fabrication (단일 선원 장치와 이중 선원 장치 비교를 이용한 전산화단층촬영 금속인공물 감소에 대한 연구: 동물팬텀 제작을 이용한 실측적인 비교)

  • This study aims to compare and evaluate the image differences between single and dual sources in applying a technique to reduce metal artifacts using dual energy CT. Discovery CT 256 (GE, USA) as a single source device and Somatom Definition Flash (Siemens Health Care, Forchheim, Germany) as a dual source device. The self-made phantom (pigs with medical titanium screws inserted) was quantitative and qualitatively evaluated under the same conditions by varying the dose under the same conditions using a dual energy CT. The evaluation method was compared by measuring SNR for metal artifacts (scattering, stripe) generated by metal inserts, divided around bones and around tissues. There was a difference in images in the method of reducing metal artifacts between single-source and dual-source devices. In a single source device, the linearized prosthesis by metal implantation showed a greater decrease than the image obtained from a double source device, and the surrounding tissue was well observed without interference from the artifact. In dual-source devices, scattering and stripe artifacts caused by metal inserts decreased more than on a single source device, and signals from adjacent tissues surrounding the metal implant were well observed without diminishing. If the examination is conducted separately between single source and dual source devices depending on whether the area to which the patient is intended to be viewed during the examination is adjacent to the metal insert or the total tissue surrounding the metal insert, it is believed that diagnostic helpful images can be obtained.

  • Single phase SRM(switched reluctance motor) is very simple in structure and in driving circuit than three phase SRM. But it can't be started by itself. The prototype of salient pole rotor type single phase SRM was fabricated in former research and the starting device was installed in bottom of the rotor for generating start torque. The starting device is composed of permanent magnet and it is placed the rotor at specific position which is generated positive torque when the prototype is started. Therefore the prototype was started by itself but it is also affected the torque and the speed in operation. On this paper, the influence of the starting device on no-load speed of the prototype was confirmed by measurement of no-load speed according to installation of the starting device or not.

Impedance Properties of Electroluminescent Device Containing Blended Polymer Single-Layer (고분자 블렌드를 이용한 EL 소자의 임피던스 특성)

  • We fabricated organic electroluminescent (EL) devices with single layer of poly(3-dodeoylthiophene) (P3DoDT) hlended with different amounts of poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) as a emitting layer. The molar ratio between P3DoDT and PVK changed with 1:0, 2:1 and 1:1. To improve the external quantum efficiency of EL devices, we applied insulating layer, LiF layer, between polymer emitting layer and Al electrode. All of the devices emit orange-red light and it's can be explained that the energy transfer occurs from PVK to P3DoDT. In the voltage-current and voltage-brightness characteristics of devices applied LiF layer, current and brightness increased with increasing applied voltage. The brightness of the device have a molar ratio 1:1 with LiF layer was about 10 times larger than that of the device without PVK at 6V. Electrical impedance properties of ITO/emitting layer/LiF/Al devices were investigated. In the Cole-Cole plots of impedance data, one semicircle was observed. Therefore, the equivalent circuit for the devices can be designed as a single parallel resistor and capacitor network with series resistor.

  • We propose a novel network architecture and build dataset for recognizing clickable objects on mobile device screens. The data was collected based on clickable objects on the mobile device screen that have numerous resolution, and a total of 24,937 annotation data were subdivided into seven categories: text, edit text, image, button, region, status bar, and navigation bar. We use the Deconvolution Single Shot Detector as a baseline, the backbone network with Squeeze-and-Excitation blocks, the Single Shot Detector layer structure to derive inference results and the Feature pyramid networks structure. Also we efficiently extract features by changing the input resolution of the existing 1:1 ratio of the network to a 1:2 ratio similar to the mobile device screen. As a result of experimenting with the dataset we have built, the mean average precision was improved by up to 101% compared to baseline.

  • Stand-alone cervical cage consists of a PEEK body, Ti plate, and screw, which are configured as a single-piece. Through a single operation, this implantable medical device is capable of completely fixing the cervical vertebral body. For example, instead of a plate, which is normally used, the intervertebral disc is removed and replaced with a cervical cage. It should be noted that in Korea, KFDA guidelines for a stand-alone cervical cage have not yet been suggested. Therefore, the aim of this study is to present the systematic study of the static compression test, static torsion test, dynamic compression test, and expulsion test. Further, the test method is designed to refer to the ASTM standard and relative literature.

  • In this paper, SAW devices are fabricated using various IDT shape(Single/Double) to check an effect of the IDT on SAW device. And based on theory of a particle velocity moved by SAW and IDT, a particle velocity is measured and calculated. Depend on insert power, a particle velocity using Single-IDT SAW device is about two times bigger than Double-IDT SAW device and it's almost same with a theoretical different.

  • We fabricated white light-emitting diode which have a mixed single emitting layer containing poly(N-vinylcarbazole), trois(8-hydroxyquinoline)aluminum and poly(3-hexylthiophene) and investigated the emission properties of it. It is possible to obtain a blue light from poly(N-vinylcarbazole). green light from tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)aluminum and red light from poly(3-hexylthiophene). The fabricated device emits white light with slight orange light. We think that the energy transfer in a mixed layer occurred from PVK to Alq₃ and P3HT resulted in decreasing the blue light intensity from PVK. We find that the efficiency of the white light electroluminescent device can be improved by injecting electron more effectively and blue light need to improve the color purity of white light.
