  • This paper presents the dynamic characteristics of a linear brushless DC(BLDC) motor with permanent magnet excitation for the precision conveyor according to the load condition. In order to investigate the accurate dynamic performance of tile linear BLDC motor driving with 6 step inverter- fed, finite element techniques coupling with external circuit models, together with the simultaneous simulation of motion of the mover system, arc proposed. The results of finite element analysis arc compared to the experimental ones.

  • This paper describes a new data-handing, based on a Spatial Human Interface as human indicator, to the Spatial-Knowledge-Tags (SKT) in the spatial memory the Spatial Human Interface (SHI) is a new system that enables us to facilitate human activity in a working environment. The SHI stores human activity data as knowledge and activity history of human into the Spatial Memory in a working environment as three-dimensional space where one acts, and loads them with the Spatial-Knowledge-Tags(SKT) by supporting the enhancement of human activity. To realize this, the purpose of SHI is to construct new relationship among human and distributed networks computers and sensors that is based on intuitive and simultaneous interactions. In this paper, the specified functions of SKT and the realization method of SKT are explained. The utility of SKT is demonstrated in designing a robot motion control.

Estimation of Manoeuvring Coefficients of a Submerged Body using Parameter Identification Techniques

  • This paper describes parameter identification techniques formulated for the estimation of maneuvering coefficients of a submerged body. The first part of this paper is concerned with the identifiability of the system parameters. The relationship between a stochastic linear time-invariant system and the equivalent dynamic system is investigated. The second is concerned with the development of the numerically stable identification technique. Two identification techniques are tested; one is the ma7mum likelihood (ML) methods using the Holder & Mead simplex search method and using the modified Newton-Raphson method, and the other is the modified extended Kalman filter (MEKF) method with a square-root algorithm, which can improve the numerical accuracy of the extended Kalman filter. As a results, it is said that the equations of motion for a submerged body have higher probability to generate simultaneous drift phenomenon compared to general state equations and only the ML method using the Holder & Mead simplex search method and the MEKF method with a square-root algorithm gives acceptable results.

Effects of Ankle Invertor and Plantar Flexor Stretching on Balance and Walking Ability of Stroke Patients

  • Purpose: This study was to applied to stretching plantar flexor and invertor at the same time to observe the effect of balance and walking ability. Methods: Subjects were instructed patients with ankle limited of motion, 6 months after stroke. We classified 20 subjects into two groups (experimental group: stretching plantar flexor and invertor at the same time, control group: only stretching plantar flexor). each group included 10 subjects and applied ankle stretcher for 20 minutes, 5 times/week during 4 weeks (total 20 times). Results: Both experimental group and control group showed significant increases in static balance, however, the significantly increases in step length and gait speed was observed only in the experimental group. There was no significant increases in step length and gait speed in the control group. Conclusion: Simultaneous stretching of ankle invertor and plantar flexion is effective in improving balance and walking ability in chronic stroke patients.

구형물체 주위의 자연대류 열전달에 대한 진동효과 (Effect of Vibration on Natural Convective Heat Transfer around a Spherical Body)

  • A heat transfer model for the case of simultaneous vibration of both the heated surface and its surrounding medium is constructed and the dimensional analysis is applied to this model in order to and the governing dimensionless Parameters in which the vibration effects the heat transfer. In the second Part of this study, an experimental investigation of the effect of vibration on natural convective heal transfer from spheres has been performed for the case of the external oscillatory motion being imposed on the heated surface which is immersed in an otherwise undisturbed air, The ranges of the experimental variables were: temperature difference 10 to $120^{\circ}C$; vibration frequency 10 to 120Hz; displacement amplitude 1.3 to 12.5mm. Three different diameter aluminum were used as the experimental models. Improvements in heat transfer due to vibration were observed, with the maximum increase being 330 Percent. A dimensionless correlation describing the measured heat transfer data is given.

전방십자인대 및 슬개건 급성 동시 파열 - 1예 보고 - (Simultaneous Acute Rupture of Anterior Cruciate Ligament and Patellar Tendon - A Case Report -)

  • 동시에 발생되는 전방십자인대와 슬개건의 급성 파열은 매우 드물게 발생되며, 손상후 초기의 검사에서 간혹 슬개건 파열을 진단하지 못하는 경우가 있다. 저자들은 우측 슬관절에 전방십자인대와 슬개건의 동시에 발생되는 급성 파열로 전방십자인대는 동종 아킬레스건을 이용하여서 재건술을 시행하고, 슬개건에 대해서는 직접 봉합술 및 동종아킬레스건을 이용한 보강술을 시행하여 슬관절 운동의 강직이나 불안정성 없이, Lysholm 점수는 93점, Tegner Activity Score는 6점으로 좋은 결과를 보였기에 증례 보고를 하고자 한다.

다양한 연부조직 재건에서의 대망피판의 유용성 (Usefulness of Omental Flap for Various Soft Tissue Reconstruction)

  • Extensive and complicated defects on the body call for an omnipotent tool for a perfect reconstruction. Flaps derived from the omentum has many advantages over the conventional flaps. From 1999 to 2004, Omental flaps were applied for various soft tissue reconstructions. Among total 20 total 7 cases were for immediate reconstruction, 2 cases for chronic infection, 3 cases for simultaneous reconstruction of two defects, 4 cases for functional joint reconstruction and 4 cases were for flow- through revascularization. Among these cases, 3 cases were operated with minimal incision harvest technique. There were no complete flap failures, partial necrosis of the distal parts were noted on three cases. The omental flap is indicated on a large contaminated defect reconstruction due to its large size, well-vascularized, and malleable properties. The omental flap provides several additional advantages over other flaps, which are; the availability of the one staged simultaneous reconstruction of two defects with one flap, providing gliding function for the joint motion, and a flow-through characteristics with long vascular pedicle. But there are some serious shortcomings, including a long abdominal scar and intraabdominal problems. However, these are rare and can be minimized with our minimal incision technique. Due to its unique characteristics. the omentum is one of the ideal tissues for the reconstruction of the complicated soft tissue defects due to its unique characteristics.

연부조직 결손을 동반한 감염성 경골 불유합 및 골결손의 치료(유리피판술과 동시에 시행한 Ilizarov기구를 이용한 골연장술의 유용성) (Treatment of Infected Tibial Nonunion Combined with Soft Tissue Defect (Effectiveness of Simultaneous Free-tissue Transfer and Ilizarov Distraction Osteogenesis))

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of internal transport using Ilizarov apparatus with free flap surgery for infected tibial nonunion. Materials and Methods: We reviewed 8 patients of infected tibial nonunion treated with internal transport using Ilizarov apparatus and free flap surgery. Seven of eight patients were available for at least 1 year follow-up. All patients were male. The mean age at the time of the surgery was All fractures were Gustilo's type III B open fracture. The mean length of the bone defect was 8.5 cm. All used flaps for covering the soft tissue defect were free rectus abdominis muscle flap. We evaluated bone and functional results with use of the Paley and Catagni's classification. And we classified the complication with use of the Paley's classification. Results: Acceptable length and solid union of bone was achieved in all cases. The mean size of the bone length was 7.2 cm. The mean healing index was 69.5 days/cm. All but one case needed bone graft at docking site. All flaps were survived. There was no recurrence of infection. According to Paley and Catagni's classification, all cases showed excellent or good results. Complications were pin tract infection in 3 cases, persistent pain in 2 cases and limitation of joint motion in 2 cases. Conclusion: Simultaneous free-tissue transfer and Ilizarov distraction osteogenesis was thought to be an attractive treatment modality for infected nonunion of the tibia.

초음파 비이컨을 사용한 이동로봇 실내 주행용 파티클 필터 SLAM (Particle Filter SLAM for Indoor Navigation of a Mobile Robot Using Ultrasonic Beacons)

  • 본 논문에서는 파티클 필터 방법을 이용한 이동로봇의 SLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) 방법을 제안한다. 이동로봇의 SLAM은 지도가 주어지지 않는 환경에서 로봇 스스로 자신의 위치를 파악하는 것과 동시에 지도를 만드는 것이다. 제안된 방법은 로봇의 위치를 추정함과 동시에 특징점인 외부 비이컨들의 위치를 추정하는 방법을 다루고 있다. 특히 파티클 필터 방법을 적용하여 이동로봇과 특징점 위치를 파티클의 분포에 의해 확률적으로 표현한다. 제안된 SLAM방법은 이동로봇의 동작 뿐 아니라 특징점 위치의 불확실성을 고려한다. 따라서 매 샘플링 시각에 특징점의 위치 정보도 불확실성을 고려하여 예측되어진다. 제안된 방법의 성능을 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 평가하였다. 제안된 방법은 비이컨으로 부터의 거리 정보에 불규칙한 잡음이 있는 환경에서도 실질적으로 사용가능한 지도 정보를 제공하였다. 또한 통상의 최소자승법이나 데드레크닝 방법에 비해서 보다 정확하고 강건하게 로봇의 위치를 추정하였다.

주행하는 고온 강재의 상하부 동시 냉각 과정 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of Simultaneous Cooling Process of Upper and Lower Side of Running Hot Steel Strip)

  • 열간 압연을 거친 $800^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온 철강 판재는 일반적으로 다중 봉상 수분류(multiple circular water jets)에 의해서 급속 냉각된다. 이 과정은 소재의 온도가 냉각수의 끓는점보다 훨씬 높기 때문에 소재 표면과 냉각수 사이에 막비등 열전달 현상이 발생하며 소재 표면에 매우 얇은 증기층이 형성되며, 이 증기층은 소재와 냉각수의 열교환을 방해하는 중요한 열저항으로 작용한다. 본 문제에는 비등 열전달 이외에도 소재 표면에 쌓이는 체류수의 자유표면 유동, 소재의 고속 주행 등 복잡한 물리현상들이 복합적으로 작용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 모든 물리현상들을 동시에 고려할 수 있는 해석 절차를 적용하여 일정한 속도로 주행하는 고온 철강 판재의 상하부 동시 냉각 과정을 3 차원 수치해석 하였으며, 소재 상부 및 하부 면의 냉각 특성을 비교하였다.
