시뮬레이션 출력 자료 분석에 관한 연구 (Output Data Analysis of Simulation: A Review)

  • 시뮬레이션은 시간에 따라 변화하는 실제 프로세스나 시스템에 대한 운영을 모방한다. 이 방법론은 실제 시스템의 운영적 특성들을 연구하는데 관심을 가진다. 일반적으로 시뮬레이션 프로젝트는 자료수집, 코딩, 모델 타당성 및 유효성 검증, 실험 계획, 출력 자료 분석, 적용과 같은 여러 가지 단계들을 거친다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 여러 단계들 중 시뮬레이션 출력 자료의 통계적 분석에 대한 연구들을 살펴 보기로 한다. 특별히 본 연구에서는 종료형(terminating) 시뮬레이션과 비종료형(non-terminating) 시뮬레이션 각각의 경우에 대한 평균 ${\mu}$를 구간 추정하는 방법을 설명한다. 그런 다음 이 연구결과를 확장한 일반적인 평균 ${\mu}$의 보다 더 일반화된 형태인 $f({\mu})$를 추정하는 방법에 대해 설명한다. 여기서 함수 $f({\bullet})$은 비선형 함수로서 $f'({\mu}){\neq}0$${\mu}$의 이웃에서 미분 가능한 함수이다.

Comparison of Perturbation Analysis Estimate and Forward Difference Estimate in a Markov Renewal Process

  • Using simulation, we compare the perturbation analysis estimate and the forward difference estimate for the first and second derivatives of performance measures in a Markov renewal process. We find the perturbation analysis estimate has much les mean squared error than the traditional forward difference estimate.

  • In this study, LCD Cell process has been analyzed through ARENA simulation. The major concern is to find the condition maximizing production rate (or quantity per hour). For the analysis, we have selected 4 factors and performed simulation experiments through $L_8(2^7)$ orthogonal arrays. Our results indicate that the production may be maximized with well selected conditions proposed in this study. The results obtained from this study may provide a good base for practical applications.

  • Three-dimensional and unsteady flow analysis is a practical target of high performance computation. As recently advances of computers, a numerical prediction by the large eddy simulation (LES) are introduced and evaluated for various engineering problems. Its advanced methods for the complex turbulent flows are discussed by several examples applied for aerodynamic designs, analysis of fluid flow mechanisms and their interaction to complex phenomena. These results of time-dependent and three-dimensional phenomena are visualized by interactive graphics and animations.

  • 본 논문은 SIMVA(Simulation Vulnerability Analyzer)를 이용한 시뮬레이션 기반의 네트워크 취약성 분석을 주목적으로 한다 SIMVA는 네트워크 상태를 감시하고, 이를 토대로 취약성을 분석하기 위하여 개발된 S/W로서, SES/MB (System Entity Structure / Model Base) 프레임워크 및 DEVS(Discrete Event System Specification) 이론을 적용하여 네트워크 보안 모델링을 수행할 수 있으며, 취약성 메트릭스를 통하여 정량적으로 취약성을 분석할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 SIMVA를 이용하여 최근 네트워크 보안 문제에 심각한 영향을 미치는 슬래머 웜 공격 시나리오에 대한 취약성 분석을 수행함으로써 SIMVA의 검증 및 적용 가능성을 제시한다.

  • In this study, a simulation using Company A's COMSOL heat flow program was used to analyze the thermal diffusion simulation according to the depth of the high-temperature exposed cement paste. As a result of the analysis, it showed a similar relationship with the measured temperature as of 180 minutes.

  • A Numerical simulation for the propulsion of axisymmetric body by contractive and dilative motion is carried out. The present analysis shows that a propulsive force can be obtained in highly viscous fluid by a contractive and dilative motion of axisymmetric body. An axisymmetric analysis code is developed with unstructured grid system for the simulation of complicated motion and geometry. The developed code is validated by comparing with the results of stokes approximation with the problem of uniform flow past a sphere in low Reynolds number($R_n=1$). The validated code is applied to the simulation of contractive and dilative motion of body. The simulation is extended to the analysis of waving surface with projecting part for finding out the difference of hydrodynamic performance according to the variation of waving surface configuration. The present study will be the basic research for the development of the propulsor of an axisymmetric micro-hydro-machine.

Efficient Monte Carlo simulation procedures in structural uncertainty and reliability analysis - recent advances

  • The present contribution addresses uncertainty quantification and uncertainty propagation in structural mechanics using stochastic analysis. Presently available procedures to describe uncertainties in load and resistance within a suitable mathematical framework are shortly addressed. Monte Carlo methods are proposed for studying the variability in the structural properties and for their propagation to the response. The general applicability and versatility of Monte Carlo Simulation is demonstrated in the context with computational models that have been developed for deterministic structural analysis. After discussing Direct Monte Carlo Simulation for the assessment of the response variability, some recently developed advanced Monte Carlo methods applied for reliability assessment are described, such as Importance Sampling for linear uncertain structures subjected to Gaussian loading, Line Sampling in linear dynamics and Subset simulation. The numerical example demonstrates the applicability of Line Sampling to general linear uncertain FE systems under Gaussian distributed excitation.

  • During the last few decades, the frequency and distribution of rockfalls have been increased in Korea due the development of rock slope in mountain areas. Although the scale of, falling block of rockfall was small, there were some casualties of lives and loss of properties. In order to reduce damage from rockfall, analysis on rock slope indanger of rockfall should be carried out. Thus, the simulation softwares for rockfall behavior analysis have been introduced. In this study, geotechnical investigation and input data for rockfall simulation are described with the comparison among four commercially available rockfall simulation softwares. Finally, rockfall simulation works are described by exmining a case of inaccessible rock-slope of potential rockfall in Korea.
