도래방향 추정을 위한 유니터리 MUSIC 알고리즘의 FPGA 구현 (FPGA Implementation of Unitary MUSIC Algorithm for DoA Estimation)

  • 본 논문은 도래방향 추정법의 하나인 유니터리 MUSIC(MUltiple SIgnal Classification) 알고리즘의 하드웨어 구현에 대한 것이다. 이 알고리즘은 복소 상관행렬을 유니터리 변환(Unitary transform)을 통해 실수 상관행렬로 변환하여 하드웨어 구현을 쉽게 할 수 있다. 실수 상관행렬의 고유치와 고유벡터는 Jacobi법에 ADD와 SHIFT만으로 구현이 가능한 CORDIC(COordinate Rotation DIgital Computer) 알고리즘을 접목한 Jacobi-CORDIC 알고리즘으로 구하였다. 또한 256점 DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform)를 적용하여 각도 스펙트럼을 구하고, 스펙트럼의 검색으로 도래각을 추정하였다. 본 논문에서는 알고리즘의 하드웨어 구현을 위해 System Generator를 이용하여 설계하였다. 최종 설계된 DoA 추정 시스템은 Matlab 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하여 일치된 결과를 얻었고, Hardware Co-Sim을 통해 System Generator 설계 결과를 검증하였다.

  • It is proposed a new approach to the development of the automatic vision system to examine and repair the steam generator tubes at remote distance. In nuclear power plants, workers are reluctant of works in steam generator because of the high radiation environment and limited working space. It is strongly recommended that the examination and maintenance works be done by an automatic system for the protection of the operator from to radiation exposure. Digital signal processors are used in implementing real time recognition and examination of steam generator tubes in the proposed vision system. Performance of proposed digital vision system is illustrated by simulation and experiment for similar steam generator model.

전력계통 동기발전기의 T-S Fuzzy 모델링 (T-S Fuzzy Modeling of Synchronous Generator in a Power System)

  • The dynamic behavior of power systems is affected by the interactions between linear and nonlinear components. To analyze those complicated power systems, the linear approaches have been widely used so far. Especially, a synchronous generator has been designed by using linear models and traditional techniques. However, due to its wide operating range, complex dynamics, transient performances, and its nonlinearities, it cannot be accurately modeled as linear methods based on small-signal analysis. This paper describes an application of the Takaki-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy method to model the synchronous generator in a single-machine infinite bus (SMIB) system. The T-S fuzzy model can provide a highly nonlinear functional relation with a comparatively small number of fuzzy rules. The simulation results show that the proposed T-S fuzzy modeling captures all dynamic characteristics for the synchronous generator, which are exactly same as those by the conventional modeling method.

교류 발전기 고정자 사고 검출을 위한 최적 마더 웨이브릿의 선정 (A Selection of an Optimal Mother Wavelet for Stator Fault Detection of AC Generator)

  • For stator winding protection of AC generator, KCL(Kirchhoff's Current Law) is widely applied. Actually a CRDR(Current Ratio Differential Relay) based on DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) has been used for protecting generator. It has been pointed out that defects can occur during the process of transforming a time domain signal into a frequency domain one which can lead to loss of time domain information. Wavelets techniques are proposed for the analysis of power system transients. This paper introduces an algorithm to choose a suitable Mother Wave1et for generator stator fault detection. For optimal selection, we analyzed db(Daubechies), sym(Symlets), and coif(Coiflects) of Mother Wavelet. And we compared with performance of the choice algorithm using detail coefficients energy and RMS(root mean square) error. It can be improved the reliability of the conventional DFT based CRDR. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme is proved with simulation using collected data obtained from ATP (Alternative Transient Program) package.

  • A digital series-feedback compensator algorithm for tracking time-varying signal is presented. The series-feedback compensator is composed of one closed loop pole / zero cancellation compensator and one desired-input generator. This algorithm is applied to nonlinear hydraulic position control system. The hydraulic servo system is modelled as a second order linear model and cancellation compensator is modelled from it. The desired input generator is inserted to reduce modelling error. Digital computer simulation output using this control method is present and the usefulness of this control algorithm for nonlinear hydraulic system is verified.

  • The paper describes the formulation of state matrix equations from the linearized multi-machine power system including network dynamics and the application of IEEE First Benchmark Model. The eigenvalues of IEEE First Benchmark Model are investigated not only by changing the compensation of series capacitance at no-load conditions, but also by varying the generator loading at fixed compensation of capacitance. In addition, the pure electrical self-excited mode is also examined by an eigen analysis and time domain simulation.

  • This paper proposes a new DFIG(Doubly-Fed Induction Generator) system using matrix converter, which is very effectively used for interconnecting the wind power system to the power grid. The operation of proposed system was verified by computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software. The feasibility of hardware implementation was conformed by experimental works with a laboratory scaled-model of wind power system. The laboratory scaled-model was built using a motor-generator set with vector drive system, and a matrix converter with DSP(Digital Signal Processor). The operation of scaled-model was tested by modeling the specific variable-speed wind turbine using the real wind data in order to make the scaled-model simulate the real wind power system as close as possible. The simulation and experimental results confirm that matrix converter can be applied for the DFIG system.

ADCL 버퍼를 이용한 단열 논리회로용 AC 전원과 동기화된 저전력 클럭 발생기 설계 (Design of Low-power Clock Generator Synchronized with the AC Power Source Using the ADCL Buffer for Adiabatic Logics)

  • 본 논문에서는 ADCL(adiabatic dynamic CMOS logic) buffer를 이용한 단열 논리회로용 AC 전원과 동기화된 저전력 클럭 발생기를 제안한다. CMOS 논리회로의 전력 손실을 줄이고 ADCL의 저전력 동작을 위해서, 논리회로의 clock 신호는 AC 전원 신호와 동기화 되어야 한다. 설계된 Schmitt trigger 회로와 ADCL buffer를 사용한 ADCL 주파수 분주기를 이용하여 AC 신호와 단열동작을 위한 clock 신호가 발생된다. 제안된 저전력 클럭 발생기의 소비전력은 3kHz와 10MHz에서 각각 1.181uW와 37.42uW으로 시뮬레이션에서 확인하였다.

  • This paper deals with a power-hardware-in-the loop simulation (PHILS) of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) type wind power generation system (WPGS) using a real hardware which consists of a motor generator set with motor drive, real time digital simulator (RTDS), and back-to-back converter. A digital signal processor (DSP) controls the back-to-back converter connected between the back-to-back converter and the RTDS. The proposed PHILS can effectively be applied to demonstrate the operational characteristics of PMSG type WPGS under grid connection.

VST 및 FPGA를 이용한 전자표적 생성 및 신호 모의장치 개발 (The Development of the Real Time Target Simulator for the RF Signal of Electronic Warfare using VST and FPGA)

  • In this paper, the target simulator for RF signals was developed by using VST(Vector Signal Transceiver) and set by real-time signal processing SW programs. A function to process RF signals using FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) board was designed. The system functions capable of data processing, raw signals monitoring, target signals(simulated range, velocity) generating and RF environments data analyzing were implemented. And the characteristics of modulated signal were analyzed in RF environment. All function of programs for processing RF signal have options to store signal data and to manage the data. The validity of the signal simulation was confirmed through verification of simulated signal results.
