High Level Object Oriented Real-Time Simulation Programming and Time-triggered Message-triggered Object(TMO) Scheme

  • The object-oriented(00) distributed real-time(RT) programming movement started in1990's and is growing rapidly at this turn of the century. Distributed real-time simulation is a field in its infancy but it is bounded to receive steadily growing recognition for its importance and wide applicability. The scheme is called the distributed time-triggered simulation scheme which is conceptually simple and easy to use but widely applicable. A new generation object oriented(00) RT programming scheme is called the time-triggered message triggered object(TMO)programming scheme and it is used to make specific illustrations of the issues. The TMO structuring scheme is a general-style components structuring scheme and supports design of all types of component including hard real time objects and non real time objects within one general structure.

  • Since world container throughput continues to grow, the main issues facing decision-makers at port container terminals are how to expand the existing container terminals and construct new container terminals. Simulations can be used in the decision making process tools due to its ease and ability to reflect the real world system. The object-oriented approach provides for both reusability and modularity that best fits these requirements. In this paper, the object-oriented approach to modeling and simulating general container terminals is presented. Simulation tools based on Visual C++ provide a user-friendly input and output environment through the use of an object class-library.   • Real-time(RT) object-oriented(OO) distributed computing is a form of RT distributed computing realized with a distributed computer system structured in the form of an object network. Several approached proposed in recent years for extending the conventional object structuring scheme to suit RT applications, are briefly reviewed. Then the approach named the TMO(Time-triggered Message-triggered Object)structuring scheme was formulated with the goal of instigating a quantum productivity jump in the design of distributed time triggered simulation. The TMO scheme is intended to facilitate the pursuit of a new paradigm in designing distributed time triggered simulation which is to realize real-time computing with a common and general design style that does not alienate the main-stream computing industry and yet to allow system engineers to confidently produce certifiable distributed time triggered simulation for safety-critical applications. The TMO structuring scheme is a syntactically simple but semantically powerful extension of the conventional object structuring approached and as such, its support tools can be based on various well-established OO programming languages such as C++ and on ubiquitous commercial RT operating system kernels. The Scheme enables a great reduction of the designers efforts in guaranteeing timely service capabilities of application systems. Start after striking space key 2 times.

  • Recently, many enterprises are installing AMSs(Automated Manufacturing Systems) for their competitive advantages. As the level of automation increases, proper design and validation of control logic is a imperative task for the successful operation of AMSs. However, current discrete event simulation methods mainly focus on the performance evaluation. As a result, they lack the modeling capabilities for the detail logic of automated manufacturing system controller. Proposed in this paper is a method of validation of the controller logic for automated material handling system using an object-oriented design and simulation. Using this method, FA engineers can validate the controller logic easily in earlier stage of system design, so they can reduce the time for correcting the logic errors and enhance the productivity of control program development Generated simulation model can also be used as a communication tool among FA engineers who have different experiences and disciplines.

  • Object-oriented programming goes on increasing in many areas, as its advantages of flexibility and ease of maintenance have been recognized. As in usual programmings, the productivity and flexibility of CACSD package can be improved by adopting object-oriented programmin. This paper describes our efforts to implement an OO-CACSD(Object Oriented CACSD) package for control system design and simulation. Since the proposed OO-CACSD is based on the modularity, portability, reuseability, and matrix-oriented data structure, a control system can be not only modeled and simulated but also maintained easily.

  • 본 논문에서는 객체지향개념을 도입한 시뮬레이션, 즉 객체지향시뮬레이션(Object-Oriented Simulation)에 대하여 살펴보았다. 기존의 시뮬레이션언어가 가지고 있는 한계점을 통하여 객체지향시뮬레이션의 필요성과 장점에 대하여 알아보았다. 객체지향프로그램인 Smalltalk를 이용해서 객체지향시뮬레이션의 모델링 방법론에 대해서 논의하였으며, 향후 이 방법론을 적용하여 객체지향 시뮬레이터 개발을 하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 유연생산시스템 (FMS: Flexible Manufacturing System)의 객체지향 시뮬레이션(OOS: Object Oriented Simulation)에 대한 기존의 연구들을 소개한다. 먼저 FMS와 객체지향시뮬레이션의 일반적인 개념에 대해서 이야기하고 기존의 연구들을 대상 시스템의 추상화(abstraction)과정을 중심으로 분류하여 정리하였다. 추상화 방법론과 FMS를 위한 객체지향시뮬레이션의 현황 및 과제에 대해서도 간략하게 살펴보았다.

  • In this study, we introduce a 3D simulation model to support the design on ACT(Automated Container Terminal) using 3D animation. The developed simulation model simulate virtual operations of ACT and animate the simulated results with real time. We provide several validation points for the design of ACT. And the developed system applied an object-oriented design and C++ programming to increase the reusability and extensibility. We can perform the various simulation experiment and analyze performances to estimate the required number of equipment using developed simulation model.

  • Recently, software industry regarding national defense increases system development of distributed simulation system of M&S based to overcome limit of resource and expense. It is one of key technologies for offering of mutual validation among objects and reuse of objects which are discussed for developing these systems. RTI, implementation of HLA interface specification as software providing these technologies uses Federation Object Model for exchanging information with joined federates in the federation and each federate has a characteristic that is supposed to have identical FOM in the federation. This paper presents a characteristic of Base Object Model, SISO standardization for improving reuse and interoperability of Federation Object Model applied simulation network manager based HLA/RTI and suggests method of designing the structure of simulation network manager through the modularity of Federation Object Model.

  • We propose a method to generate the object-target identifier mapping information for system performance and effectiveness analysis of submarine engage system and verify the validity of the proposed method through experiments. In the submarine model of the engage simulator, the signal processing algorithm of the actual sonar system is installed. In the target information obtained through the sonar or signal processing process, the actual object information is not known, and the simulator does not provide such information. Therefore, in this study, we generated identifier mapping information for simulation post-analysis by using bearing, range, and speed of the target obtaind from sonar signal processing and the object collected.
