On the Data Features for Neighbor Path Selection in Computer Network with Regional Failure

  • This paper aims to investigate data features for neighbor path selection (NPS) in computer network with regional failures. It is necessary to find an available alternate communication path in advance when regional failures due to earthquakes or forest fires occur simultaneously. We describe previous general heuristics and simulation heuristic to solve the NPS problem in the regional fault network. The data features of general heuristics using proximity and sharing factor and the data features of simulation heuristic using machine learning are explained through examples. Simulation heuristic may be better than general heuristics in terms of communication success. However, additional data features are necessary in order to apply the simulation heuristic to the real environment. We propose novel data features for NPS in computer network with regional failures and Keras modeling for computing the communication success probability of candidate neighbor path.

Sigma-Delta STAP의 시뮬레이션과 시험 결과 비교 (Comparison Between Simulation and Test Result of Sigma-Delta STAP)

  • 이 논문에서는 실제 레이다를 이용하여 획득한 신호와 시뮬레이션으로 획득한 신호에 ${\Sigma}{\Delta}-STAP$ 알고리즘을 적용하여 비교하였다. 시험은 무반향 챔버에서 모의신호 발생장치를 이용한 표적 신호와 신호발생기를 이용한 클러터 신호를 레이다로 수신하여 수행하였다. 시뮬레이션은 시험과 동일한 레이다 파라미터에 이상적인 기저대역 신호 모델링을 통하여 수행하였다. 비교 결과, ${\Sigma}{\Delta}-STAP$ 처리된 거리-도플러 맵은 표적 신호의 형태나 잡음 수준이 시뮬레이션과 시험 결과가 거의 유사하였다. SINR 손실의 경우, 두 결과가 비슷한 양상을 보이나, 시뮬레이션 결과가 1~2 dB 가량 높은 값을 보였다. 이를 통하여 일반적인 레이다 신호 시뮬레이션을 수행하여도 실제 시험 결과와 유사한 ${\Sigma}{\Delta}-STAP$ 처리 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 불확실성과 복잡성이 존재하는 제조시스템의 생산성 분석과 의사결정을 위하여 시뮬레이션 기법이 활용될 수 있다. 이러한 시스템의 시뮬레이션을 위해 대상의 특성을 반영하는 입력 모델링 과정이 필요하다. 하지만 건설기계 조립라인과 같은 수작업 중심과 긴 리드타임을 가지는 복잡한 환경에서는 시뮬레이션에 활용할 데이터의 수집이 제한된다. 본 연구는 입력 데이터의 수집이 어려운 환경에서 동영상 데이터를 이용한 시뮬레이션 입력 모델링 절차를 제안한다. 동영상 데이터 기반 작업분석을 통해 측정시간을 정미시간과 표준시간으로 산정하고, 시뮬레이션의 입력 분포로 활용할 수 있다. 제안하는 절차로 산정된 확률분포를 시뮬레이션에 이용하여 대상 시스템의 주요 생산성 지표를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 절차는 데이터가 적은 상황에서 시뮬레이션을 활용한 생산성 분석으로 의사결정 보조에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

시뮬레이션을 이용한 특수 고기능 의류업체의 생산라인 설계에 관한 연구 (Production Line Planning for Functional Sports Wear using Simulation Model)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a production line using simulation method, which could improve work allocation, labor utility and productivity. Using simulation software AIM, a simulation model of functional sports wear assembly line was developed. A functional sports wear production factory were analysed to gather data necessary for this research. Factory layouts, production facilities, work time of each unit jobs were investigated. The data obtained were used as to build a base simulation model. Then, the base simulation model was verified using the obtained data, such as daily productivity. Using simulation method, low alternative production plans were suggested, which were to enhance productivity, and work efficiency and to reduce queue length and throughput time.

Adaptive and optimized agent placement scheme for parallel agent-based simulation

  • This study presents a noble scheme for distributed and parallel simulations with optimized agent placement for simulation instances. The traditional parallel simulation has some limitations in that it does not provide sufficient performance even though using multiple resources. The main reason for this discrepancy is that supporting parallelism inevitably requires additional costs in addition to the base simulation cost. We present a comprehensive study of parallel simulation architectures, execution flows, and characteristics. Then, we identify critical challenges for optimizing large simulations for parallel instances. Based on our cost-benefit analysis, we propose a novel approach to overcome the performance constraints of agent-based parallel simulations. We also propose a solution for eliminating the synchronizing cost among local instances. Our method ensures balanced performance through optimal deployment of agents to local instances and an adaptive agent placement scheme according to the simulation load. Additionally, our empirical evaluation reveals that the proposed model achieves better performance than conventional methods under several conditions.

무산소-산소 공정에서 생물학적 질소 제거 모델의 검증 (Verification of biological nitrogen removal model in anoxic-oxic process)

  • Anoxic-oxic process were analyzed numerically for the each unit and final TN effluent by Water Quality Management(WQM) model and the results were compared data from these sewage or wastewater treatment plants. No bugs and logic error were occurred during simulation work. All of the simulation results tried to two times were obtained and both results were almost same thus this model has good reappearance. A few of simulation results were deviated with measured data because lack of influent water qualities are reported however simulation results have wholly good relationship with measured data. Also each unit of simulation result was kept good relationship with that of measured data therefore this WQM model has good reliance. Finally, WQM model predicts final TN effluent within ${\pm}4.1\;mg/{\ell}$

Moving Object Management System for Battlefield Simulation

  • A battlefield simulation is the evaluation and analysis of the battlefield area, based on the data for terrain, climate, unit's maneuver and tactics basically required in battlefield simulation. Because it is difficult for the military authorities to collect all of the information perfectly for the reason of communication technology, jamming, and tactics, the military authorities need the future moving status for the target units by using acquired moving information. Therefore, we propose a moving object management system that concurrently provides domain reasoning function for the battlefield simulation. In order to implement the proposed system, we show the data modeling of the moving object for the battlefield simulation, and propose an inference engine using domain rule base and spatiotemporal operation. Also, we analyze the query response rate by inference function to verify domain reasoning of the implemented system.

A Simulation Framework for Wireless Compressed Data Broadcast

  • Intelligent IoT environments that accommodate a very large number of clients require technologies that provide secure information service regardless of the number of clients. Wireless data broadcast is an information service technique that ensures scalability to deliver data to all clients simultaneously regardless of the number of clients. In wireless data broadcasting, clients access the wireless channel linearly to explore the data, so the access time of clients is greatly affected by the broadcast cycle. Data compression-based data broadcasting can reduce the broadcast cycle and thus reduce client access time. Therefore, a simulation framework that can evaluate the performance of data broadcasting by applying different data compression algorithms is essential and important. In this paper, we propose a simulation framework to evaluate the performance of data broadcasting that can adopt data compression. We design the framework that enables to apply different data compression algorithms according to the data characteristics. In addition to evaluating the performance according to the data, the proposed framework can also evaluate the performance according to the data scheduling technique and the kind of queries the client wants to process. We implement the proposed framework and evaluate the performance of data broadcasting using the framework applying data compression algorithms to demonstrate the performances of data compression broadcasting.

  • HLA-RTI는 미국방부에서 개발한 분산 시뮬레이션을 위한 미들웨어로서 이전까지의 분산 시뮬레이션 미들웨어보다 빠른 수행속도와 신뢰성을 제공한다. 그러나 기존의 HLA-RTI에서 데이터 필터링 기술로 사용하는 DDM(Data Distribution Management) 서비스는 이동성이 강한 시뮬레이션 객체들간의 데이터 교환에서 네트웍 트레픽이 증가하는 문제점이 발생하게 된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 이동성이 강한 시뮬레이션 객체에 에이전트 기술을 적용할 것을 제안하며 실제적인 시뮬레이션에 적용하여 각 데이터 필터링 기술간의 성능을 비교하고 분석한다.

Cutting Simulation을 이용한 End-milling Cutter의 제작 및 가공 검증 기술 개발 (End-mill Manufacturing and Developing of Processing Verification via Cutting Simulation)

  • This paper describes a processing verification technique for developing about end-milling cutters. Developed software is processing verification module for manufacturing. By using cutting simulation method, we can obtain center points of finding wheel via Boolean operation between a grinding wheel and a cylindrical workpiece. The obtained CL data can be used for calculating NC data. After then, we can simulate by using designed grinding machine and NC data. This research has been implemented on a commercial CAD system by using the API function programming. The operator can evaluate the cutting simulation process and reduce the time of design and manufacturing.
