완도 금일읍 주변해역 해조류 양식장에 내습하는 해양파랑 특성 (Characteristics of Incident Waves on Seaweed Farm Field Around Gumil-up Sea, Wando)

  • 본 논문은 완도 금일읍 주변 해역의 내습 파랑 공간분포를 살펴보기 위해 18일간 현장 파랑관측을 실시하고 이를 외해 거문도 해양관측부이 자료와 비교하였으며, 수치모의를 통해 심해 설계파 및 계절별 평상 파랑 내습에 따른 양식장 주변의 입사파고 분포를 고찰하였다. 이를 통해 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. (1) 현장 파랑관측을 실시한 결과, 최대파고와 유의파고의 관계식 $H_{max}=1.6H_{1/3}$에 근접하는 파랑이 다수를 나타내었다. (2) 외해 입사 파랑에너지가 연안까지 도달함에 있어서 바람의 방향에 따라서 크게 영향을 받고 있으며, N계열의 풍향은 입사 파랑에너지의 감소에, S계열 풍향은 입사파랑에너지 전달에 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있었다. (3) 금일읍(평길도와 생길도) 전면해역에서 최대 심해설계파고가 4~5 m이며 파고감소율은 약 38.1~47.6%, 평상파랑의 경우 하계 3.6~4.0 m, 동계 2.3~2.7 m로 나타나 파고감소율은 41.8~49.1%에 해당하였다. (4) 평길도와 생길도 남측의 경우 해양파랑의 영향이 가장 크고, 섬의 북측 청도 수도 해역이 가장 정온한 상태를 나타내었으며, 두 해역간 유의파고비는 약 6배의 차이를 나타내었다.

  • 종래의 연안역의 활용을 위한 개발사업 뿐만 아니라 최근에는 해양레저스포츠 및 해양에너지의 개발 등을 통해 해양활용에 관한 다변화된 수요가 증가하고 있다. 안전하고 경제적인 해양의 활용을 위해 파랑특성의 파악은 매우 중요하다. 관측파랑데이터를 활용하여 종래의 연구들에서 제안된 불규칙한 해상상태를 대표하기 위한 파랑변수들을 도출하고 이들의 관계를 검토함으로서 실제 해양파의 특성을 확인하고자 한다.

월파조건에서 직립구조물을 따른 연파실험 (Laboratory Experiments of Stem Waves along a Vertical Structure under Overtopping Conditions)

  • 본 연구에서는 월파조건에서 직립구조물을 따른 연파특성을 평면수조에서 수리실험을 통해 검토하였으며, 실험에 사용된 파랑은 Bretschneider-Mitsuyasu 주파수 스펙트럼을 가지는 일방향 불규칙파이다. 주된 내용은 상대여유고(R)의 변화에 따른 파고저감을 검토하는 것이며, 월파조건과 비월파조건에서의 파고계측 실험결과를 비교하였다. 상대여유고가 작아질수록 월파의 증대로 인해 상대유의파고는 감소하였으나, 연파 폭의 변화는 거의 나타나지 않았다. 그리고 본 실험조건내에서 상대여유고가 1보다 큰 경우는 월파에 의한 파고저감효과가 거의 없는 것으로 나타났으며, R =0.5인 경우는 R =1.5인 경우에 비해 구조물 전면의 파고가 약 10% 저감되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Based on a weakly non-Gaussian theory the occurrence probability of freak waves is formulated in terms of the number of waves in a time series and the surface elevation kurtosis. Finite kurtosis gives rise to a significant enhancement of freak wave generation in comparison with the linear narrow banded wave theory. For fixed number of waves, the estimated amplification ratio of freak wave occurrence due to the deviation from the Gaussian theory is 50% - 300%. The results of the theory are compared with laboratory and field data.

Experimental study on the tension of cables and motion of tunnel element for an immersed tunnel element under wind, current and wave

  • The tension of cables and motion response significantly affect safety of an immersed tunnel element in the immersion process. To investigate those, a hydrodynamic scale-model test was carried out and the model experiments was conducted under wind, current and wave loads simultaneously. The immersion standby (the process that the position of the immersed tunnel element should be located before the immersion process) and immersion process conditions have been conducted and illustrated. At the immersion standby conditions, the maximum force of the cables and motion is much larger at the side of incoming wind, wave and current, the maximum force of Element-6 (6 cables directly tie on the element) is larger than for Pontoon-8 (8 cables tie on pontoon of the element), and the flexible connection can reduce the maximum force of the mooring cables and motion of element (i.e. sway is expecting to decrease approximate 40%). The maximum force of the mooring cables increases with the increase of current speed, wave height, and water depth. The motion of immersed tunnel element increases with increase of wave height and water depth, and the current speed had little effect on it. At the immersion process condition, the maximum force of the cables decrease with the increase of immersion depth, and dramatically increase with the increase of wave height (i.e. the tension of cable F4 of pontoons at wave height of 1.5 m (83.3t) is approximately four times that at wave height of 0.8 m). The current speed has no much effect on the maximum force of the cables. The weight has little effect on the maximum force of the mooring cables, and the maximum force of hoisting cables increase with the increase of weight. The maximum value of six-freedom motion amplitude of the immersed tunnel element decreases with the increase of immersion depth, increase with the increase of current speed and wave height (i.e. the roll motion at wave height of 1.5 m is two times that at wave height of 0.8 m). The weight has little effect on the maximum motion amplitude of the immersed tunnel element. The results are significant for the immersion safety of element in engineering practical construction process.

  • An extreme value analysis of metocean data which include wave, wind, and current data is a prerequisite for the operation and survival of offshore structures. The purpose of this study was to provide information about the return wave, wind, and current values for the Barents Sea using extreme value analysis. Hindcast datasets of the Global Reanalysis of Ocean Waves 2012 (GROW2012) for a waves, winds and currents were obtained from the Oceanweather Inc. The Gumbel distribution, 2 and 3 parameters Weibull distributions and log-normal distribution were used for the extreme value analysis. The least square method was used to estimate the parameters for the extreme value distribution. The return values, including the significant wave height, spectral peak wave period, wind speed and current speed at surface, were calculated and it will be utilized to design offshore structures to be operated in the Barents Sea.

스펙트럼을 이용한 파랑변형 예측 (Prediction Wave Transformation for Using Wave Spceturm)

  • Wave which propagate from the offshore cause transformation of diffraction, refraction, and reflection etc. in coming in the coastal by depth change. Especially, Wave strongly show the charcateristics of rancom wave in the coastal zone. Developed wave model until a recent date analysed regular waves with height and period equal to those of the significant wave, In case of Monochromatic wave, it can be analysed fine in the offshore, but differ from in coastal zone. In this study, form of governing equation is parabolic mild slope equation. This model calculated random wave for using frequency spectrum and directional spectrum from input data condition of wave. This model is applied to Vincent shoal and compared with laboratory experimental data. The results agreed well with laboratory data.

  • This study investigates the effects of Pierson-Moskowitz, Jonswap spectrum that are typical irregular wave spectrums for wind turbine system with jacket support structure. Also various offshore environmental parameters based on korean local condition were used in our study. The loads acting on the system was considered by referring to the Design Load Case from IEC guide line. And improved von Karman model was used as a turbulence model. As a result, various significant wave height and peak spectral period cause noticeable difference of extreme and fatigue loads prediction.

  • The Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data are considered to contain the greatest amount of information among various microwave techniques developed for measuring ocean variables from aircraft or satellites. They have the potential of measuring wavelength, wave direction and wave height of the ocean waves. But, it is difficult to retrieve significant ocean wave heights and surface current from conventional SAR data, since the imaging mechanism of ocean waves by a SAR is determined by the three basic modulation processes arise through the tilt modulation, hydrodynamic modulation and velocity bunching which are poorly known functions. Along-Track Interferometric (ATI) SAR systems can directly detect the Doppler shift associated with each pixel of a SAR image and have been used to estimate wave fields and surface currents. However, the Doppler shift is not simply proportional to the component of the mean surface current. It includes also contributions associated with the phase velocity of the Brags waves and orbital motions of all ocean waves that are longer than Brags waves. In this paper, we have developed a new method for extracting the surface current vector using multiple-frequency (L- & C-band) ATI SAR data, and have generated surface wave height information.

쇄파대에서의 파랑 변형에 대한 수리모형실험 (A Hydraulic Model Test of Wave Transformation in the Surf Zone)

  • 불규칙 사면에서의 파랑변형을 분석하기 위해 파랑-흐름 복합수조에서 67 종류의 규칙파에 대한 실험을 실시하였다. 사면은 합판과 Angle을 이용하여 제작하였으며 경사는 1/10, 1/20이다. 균일한 경사면에서는 쇄파수심 지수, 파의 쳐오름 등은 기존의 실험 결과와 큰 차이가 없었으나, 심해 파랑경사가 작은 경우 이들의 값은 더 작았다. 또, 파의 쳐오름은 Hunt식과 잘 일치하였으며, 쇄파가 발생하는 횟수와도 관계가 있다. 사주가 있는 경우, 쇄파수심 지수는 기존의 식과 큰 차이가 있다. 쇄파후의 파고는 Dally 등(1984)의 이론식에 비해 작게 관측되었다.
