With the development of next IT convergence technology and the construction of infrastructure for personalized services, the importance of services based on user's sensibility status and vital signal is being spotlighted. It is the most crucial factor for the strategy of sensibility engineering to investigate student's vital signal according to the sensibility. In this paper, we proposed the vital signal monitoring simulation system by the various visual stimulus. The proposed method obtained the student's vital signal by the various visual stimulus. And the power spectrum analysis using the fast fourier transform is evaluated the activity level between the sympathetic and the parasympathetic. The analyzed result is monitoring the sensibility by displaying the heath signal light. To evaluate the sensibility between the high school's students and the university's students, we conducted SD profile and paired T-tests so as to verify usefulness. This evaluation found that the difference of sensibility activity by positive and negative stimulus was statistically meaningful. Ultimately, this paper suggests empirical application to verify the adequacy and the validity.
Underwater acoustic channel impulse responses (CIR) are influenced by sound speed profile (SSP), and the variation of CIR has significant effects on the performance of underwater acoustic communication systems. A significant change of SSP can occur within a short period, which must be considered during the design of underwater acoustic modems. This paper statistically analyzes the effect of the variation of SSP on the long-range acoustic signal propagation in shallow-water with thermocline using numerical modeling based on the data acquired from JACE13 experiment near Jeju island. The analysis result shows that CIR changes variously according to the SSP and the depth of the transmitter and receiver. We also found that when the transmitter and receiver are deeper, the variation of sound wave propagation pattern is smaller and signal level becomes higher. All CIR obtained in this study show that a series of bottom reflections due to downward refraction and small bottom loss in the shallow water with thermocline can be very important factor for long-range signal transmission and the performance of underwater acoustic communication system in time varying ocean environment can be very sensitive to the variation of SSP even for a short period of time.

The $TomoTherapy^{(R)}$ beam-delivery method creates helical beam-junctioning patterns in the dose distribution within the target. In addition, the dose discrepancy results in the particular region where the resonance by pattern of dose delivery occurs owing to the change in the position and shape of internal organs with a patient's respiration during long treatment times. In this study, we evaluated the dose pattern of the longitudinal profile with the change in respiration. The superior-inferior motion signal of the programmable respiratory motion phantom was obtained using AbChes as a four-dimensional computed tomography (4DCT) original moving signal. We delineated virtual targets in the phantom and planned to deliver the prescription dose of 300 cGy using field widths of 1.0 cm, 2.5 cm, and 5.0 cm. An original moving signal was fitted to reflecting the beam delivery time of the $TomoTherapy^{(R)}$. The EBT3 film was inserted into the phantom movement cassette, and static, without the movement and with the original movement, was measured with signal changes of 2.0 s, 4.0 s, and 5.0 s periods, and 2.0 mm and 4.0 mm amplitudes. It was found that a dose fluctuation within ${\pm}4.0%$ occurred in all longitudinal profiles. Compared with the original movement, the region of the gamma index above 1 partially appeared within the target and the border of the target when the period and amplitude were changed. Gamma passing rates were 95.00% or more. However, cases for a 5.0 s period and 4.0 mm amplitude at a field width of 2.5 cm and for 2.0 s and 5.0 s periods at a field width of 5.0 cm have gamma passing rates of 92.73%, 90.31%, 90.31%, and 93.60%. $TomoTherapy^{(R)}$ shows a small difference in dose distribution according to the changes of period and amplitude of respiration. Therefore, to treat a variable respiratory motion region, a margin reflecting the degree of change of respiration signal is required.

Two-dimensional imaging of $V_s$ profile becomes more important in Korea because of the large horizontal variation of soil stiffness. To obtain a shear-wave velocity profile in geotechnical practice, various seismic nondestructive investigation methods are being frequently used. In this study, harmonic wavelet analysis of wave (HWAW) method is applied to the determination of $V_s$ profile to overcome some of weaknesses in the existing surface wave methods. HWAW method which is based on time-frequency analysis using harmonic wavelet transform has been developed to determine phase and group velocities of waves. Field testing of this method is relatively simple and fast because one experimental setup which consists of one pair of receivers is needed to determine $V_s$ profile of site. The proposed method uses the signal portion of the maximum local signal/noise ratio to evaluate the phase velocity to minimize the effects of noise, and uses single array inversion which considers receiver locations. Field tests were performed in 2 sites in order to evaluate accuracy of test method and estimate the applicability of 2-D imaging by HWAW method. Through field applications and comparison with other test results, the good accuracy and applicability of the proposed method were verified.

The range-dependent overlap factor of a lidar system can be determined experimentally if a Raman backscatter signal by molecule is measured in addition to the usually observed elastic backscatter signal, which consists of a molecular component and a particle component. The direct determination of the overlap profile is presented and applied to a lidar measurement according to variation of telescope field-of-view and distance between telescope and transmitting laser. The retrieval of extinction coefficient by Raman method can generate high errors for heights below planetary boundary layer if the overlap effect is ignored. The overlap correction method presented here has been successfully applied to experimental data obtained in Gwangju, Korea.

In ultrashort-pulse reflectometry (USPR), a chirped waveform transformed from the USPR source impulse signal via waveguide makes it possible to employ millimeter-wave mixers for the frequency up-conversion process. Consequently, the frequency bandwidth of the USPR system is sufficiently wide to cover a large portion of the electron density profile of the plasma. Some physical aspects of the chirped waveform, such as maximum amplitude and length, are critical factors to determine the performance of the system. In this paper, the propagation of the USPR impulse signal through a rectangular waveguide is numerically studied to derive the chirped waveform using the impulse response of the waveguide. The results of numerical computation show that the chirped waveform significantly depends on the waveguide cutoff frequency as well as the waveguide length.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the characteristics of the signal of local ice load acting on side shell in the bow part due to ice broken by an icebreaker in ice-covered waters. The Korean icebreaking research vessel "ARAON" voyaged to the Arctic Ocean during the summer of 2010, and measurements of local ice load were carried out using several strain gauges. In this study, the time history of measured signals was analyzed and the characteristic values including rising time and half-decaying time were presented using non-dimensional parameters.

In this study, a numerical procedure to solve a contact problem has been developed. The procedure takes the advantage of signal processing technique in frequency domain to achieve the shorter computer processing time. The Boussinesq's equation was adopted as the response function. This procedure is applicable to the non-periodic surface profile as well as the periodic one. The validity of this procedure has been established by comparing the numerical results with the exact solutions. The effectiveness of this procedure is lied on the shorter computing time than any other contact analysis algorithm.

To obtain precise surface and high productivity, high speed end milling has been studied recently. Though high speed end milling is explicitly effective for precision surface generation geometrically, tool deflection, chatter vibration and frequency characteristics of end milling system deteriorate the theoretical surface. In this study, simulation algorithm and programming method are suggested to simulate machined surface using acceleration signal in high speed end milling. This simulation is conducted by considering vibrational effect of spindle system which was not considered by other researchers. Between simulated results and experiment results, good agreements were obtained.
Although a single-element synthetic aperture system can produce high-resolution beam profile, it is not a highly practical system because of its low signal to noise ratio against conventional system's. A multi-element synthetic aperture processing has been proposed with defocusing in this paper. A multi element subaperture defocused to emulate a single element spatial response with high acoustic power. The results have higher signal to noise and better contrast resolution than conventional synthetic aperture method.
