  • The signal intelligence (SIGINT) technology is actively used for collecting various data, in a number of fields, including a military industry. In order to collect the signal information and data and to transmit/receive the collected data efficiently, the accurate angle-of-arrival (AOA) information is required and communication disturbance from the interference or jamming signal should be minimized. In this paper, we present the structure of an adaptive beam-forming satellite system based on the planar array antenna, for collecting and transmitting/receiving the signal information and data efficiently. The presented adaptive beam-forming system consists of an antenna in the form of a planar array, an AOA estimator based on the Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm, an adaptive Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR) interference canceler, a signal processing and D/B unit, and a transmission beamformer based on Minimum mean Square Error (MMSE). In addition, through the computer simulation, we evaluate and analyze the performance of the proposed system.

  • Fisetin is an effective compound extracted from lacquer which has been used in the treatment of various diseases. Preliminary data indicate that it also exerts specific anti-cancer effects. However, the manner in which fisetin regulates cancer growth remains unknown. In this study, we elucidated interference of fisetin with targets of the nuclear factor ${\kappa}B$ signal transduction pathway activated by Epstein-Barr virus encoding latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1)in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cells, Results showed that fisetin inhibited the survival rate of CNE-LMP1 cells and NF-${\kappa}B$ activation caused by LMP1. Fisetin also suppressed nuclear translocation of NF-${\kappa}B$ (p65) and $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ phosphorylation, while inhibiting CyclinD1, all key targets of the NF-${\kappa}B$ signal transduction pathway. It was suggested that interference effects of fisetin with signal transduction activated by LMP1 encoded by the Epstein-Barr virus may play an important role in its anticancer potential.

  • In this paper, we analyze the effects of interference canceller on the performance of multitone DS/CDMA system proposed by Vandendorpe[5]. There are various kinds of interference canceller suggested by different researchers including parallel and successive cancellers and we adopt a canceller used by Yoon et al.[9] which is a kind of parallel canceller. We consider three kinds of interferences, that is, multipath interference(MPI), interchannel interference(ICI) and multiple access interference(MAI). The ICI is the interference between multitones. The equations for variances. are derived for the inteferences and thermal noise used for signal to noise ratio calculation. We also consider RAKE reception over multipath channel which is modeled as lowpass equivalent linear filter and three stage interference canceller used for performance improvement. We show the performance results for number of canceller stage, diversity order and number of users and draw some conclusions that interference canceller is effective in multitone DS/CDMA system and the performance is further improved with the higher order of diversity and larger number of PN chips.

  • Recently much attention has been paid for interference mitigation technique for the COMA system, since more capacity is available with same bandwidth. In this paper, we introduces a novel adaptive interference suppression techniques for the CDMA system with narrow band interference. The proposed interference rejection scheme employs the adaptive linear prediction techniques in the subband. In each subband, we can more easily find and cancel the narrow band signal as compared to the full band. Thus, the proposed interference rejection can be classified as another time-frequency techniques for the narrow band interference rejection(10). Computer simulation is conducted for the 3-G COMA system with IF band sampling techniques, yielding better interference rejection and bit error rate performance as compared to conventional one. Also, optimum filter is analyzed and from the analysis, it can be shown the subband prediction techniques can suppress narrow band interference more efficiently.

  • This paper deals with the cancellation performance of loop back interference signal in the case of multihop relay of 16-QAM received signal at the USN radio network. For this, it is necessary to the exchange of information with long distance located station by means of the relay function between the node in the USN environment. In the relay node, the loop-back interference signal which the retransmitting signal is feedback to the receiver side due to the antenna of transmitter and receiver are co-used or very colsely located or using the nonlinear device. Due to this signal, the performance of USN system are degraded which are using the limited resource of frequency and power. For improve this, it is necessary to applying the adaptive signal processing algorithm in order to cancellating the unwanted loop-back interference signal at the frontend of receiver in relaying node, we can get the better system and multi hop performance. In the adaptive signal processing, we considered the 16-QAM signal which has a good spectral efficiency, firstly, than, the QR-Array RLS algorithm was used that has a fairly good convergence property and the solving the finite length problem in the H/W implementation. Finaly, we confirmed that the good elimination performanc was confirmed by computer simulation in the learing cuved and received signal constellation compared to the conventional RLS.

  • In Electronic Warfare, the need to develop a jamming system that protects our location information from enemy radar is constantly increasing. The jamming system normally uses wide-band DRFM(Digital Radio Frequency Memory) that processes the entire bandwidth at once. However, it is difficult to jam if there is a CW(Continuous Wave) interference signal in the band. Recently, instead of wide-band signal processing, a structure using a filter bank that divides the entire band into several sub-bands and processes each sub-band independently has been proposed. Although it is possible to handle interference signal through the filter bank structure, spurious signal occurs when the signal is received at a boundary frequency between sub-bands. Spurious signal makes a output power of jamming signal distributed, resulting in lower JSR(Jamming to Signal Ratio) and less jamming effect. This paper proposes an over-sampled channelized DRFM structure that enables interference response and prevents spurious signal for sub-band boundary frequency input.

  • The array weights that will maximize the SNR for any type of noise environment are determined by the function of the antenna design configuration and the directions of receiving target and interference signals. The conventional SLCs(sidelobe cancellers) using the SNR maximization perform worst from the saturation of the receiving system of main channel when the main antenna has pattern with high gain at the arrival angle of strong interference. In this paper, the new SLC is accomplished by using two independent antenna architecture. Main antenna is implemented with adaptive nulling, which is used for rejecting high-power interference primarily. Auxiliary antenna is realized with adaptive array for receiving interference signal to be suppressed completely, which has a characteristics of sufficient gain for every direction. The new SLC is implemented with above both antennas. We show that the new SLC, which consists of the adaptive nulling main antenna and the adaptive array auxiliary antenna, is useful in reducing the effect of strong interference like jammer, because the adaptive nulling at main antenna prevents its receiver and signal processor for saturation by strong interference. The proposed SLC has improved SNR over the conventional SLCs. The improved SNR at sidelobe region is typically more than 7 dB for a given test signal. Moreover, it improves the SNR of about 20 dB under strong interference at mainlobe.

  • In this paper, we develop an effective method for estimating and predicting interference power strength using the IMM(Interacting Multiple Model) algorithm. Based on the proposed interference prediction algorithm, we adjust transmission power of mobile terminals to maintain a certain level of target signal - to - interference- plus -noise- ratio ( SINR ) at the base station. Results of numerical experiments are presented to show a performance profile of the proposed algorithm.

  • The study on interference channel is very important information theoretically and many studies have been done on it. However, even in the simplest case, even in the case of two user interfering channels, the channel capacity is not yet known except in special cases. Recently, research on the multiplexing gain that shows the tendency of the transmission rate in the high signal to noise ratio (SNR) band has been actively carried out, instead of accurately grasping the channel capacity. Obtaining optimal multiplexing gain can reveal trends in channel capacity at high signal-to-noise ratio bands. In an interfering channel with two users, the best multiplexing gain can be obtained by eliminating the interference. However, recent research shows that when the number of users is more than three, the optimal multiplexing gain can not be obtained only by zero forcing and a new technique called interference sorting is needed. There are two types of interference sorting techniques. Beamforming A method of effectively separating signals and interference by properly selecting matrices and constructing structured codes using rational numbers and irrational numbers. The interference alignment technique can achieve optimal multiplexing gain in various environments such as interference channel, X channel, compound broadcast channel, and multi hop network for multi source multi destination. In recent years, it has also been applied to distributed storage. Lee et al., "Lattice Code Interference Alignment in Cooperative Multipoint Transmission (COMP) for Interference Channels of Three Users", Journal of the Institute of Electronics Engineers, vol.49-TC,no.6,2012. In this paper, the DoF of delayed channel information is obtained.

  • A space diversity technique was applied to the conventional optimal beamforming structure using antenna arrays at the base station receiver in the wireless mobile communication system to get performance enhancement due to interference rejection and fading resistance ability of it. To demonstrate the benefit of proposed system, we derived output signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of combined signal from all sub-array groups considering the fading effects and compared with the beamforming-only system. From the analysis and simulation results, we showed that the proposed system can provide high performance gain under Rayleigh fading channel.
