  • In this paper design a 8 bit Current Steering D/A Converter for stimulating neuron signal. Proposed circuit in paper shows the conversion rate of 10KS/s and the power supply of 3.3V with 0.35um Magna chip CMOS process using full custom layout design. It employes segmented structure which consists of 3bit thermometer decoders and 5bit binary decoder for decreasing glitch noise and increasing resolution. So glitch energy is down by $10nV{\bullet}sec$ rather than binary weighted type DAC. And it makes use of low power current stimulator because of low LSB current. And it can make biphasic signal by connecting with Micro Controller Unit which controls period and amplitude of signal. As result of measurement INL is +0.56/-0.38 LSB and DNL is +0.3/-0.4 LSB. It shows great linearity. Power dissipation is 6mW.

  • In this study, we will develop the sea surface interpretation system that can aware the target in the bottom of the sea. we will setup the database whose records would be the signal patterns of formation about mud, sand, rock and sea shell achieved by using supersonic. then we will convert analog signal received in fish detector to digital one using A/D converter So we can process and analyze this signal pattern then compare it to the one in our Database at the real time to identify the target in the bottom of the sea. After enough times of experiments from the background of the results that have been achieved from many studies(including a water tank experiment and a field investigation), we can aware the exact information of the sediment and the sand in the sea. By analyzing the first, second and third signal of the supersonic characters reflected from the body of a fish categorized by its family and from the body of shellfish, muddy sand, sand and rocks, We will develop the sea surface decipherment system which abstracts the first signal that shows the target in the bottom of the sea and makes the second and third signals filtering.

  • In AM detection system, when the ratio of the frequency of the carrier to that of the modulating signal becomes less than a ratio of approximately 10:1, AM detectors become unable to detect the impressed signal in a satisfactory waveform. The failure of detecting such a super wide-band AM signal resulting from charging and discharging transient phenomena in associated diode circuit during the detecting of AM signal, has been a cause of limiting the channel capacity in AM or FM super multiplexing systems. This Paper presents the "Poly-phase Envelope Detection System" as a suitable method to solve the problem and the analyses of the system suggested. This system will make it possible to take the envelope out of the impressed AM signal to any desired degree of accuracy even when the ratio of the frequency of the carrier to that of the modulating signal approaches unity. Experiments were carried out to verify the validity of the theory of Poly-phase Envelope Detection System by adopting the frequency conversion method from among the two proposals.proposals.

  • This paper presents a rectifier with comparator using unbalanced body biasing in $0.11{\mu}m$ RF CMOS process. It is composed of MOSFETs and two comparators. The comparator is used to reduce reverse leakage current which occurs when the load voltage is higher than input voltage. For the comparator, unbalanced body biasing is devised. By using unbalanced body biasing, reference voltage for comparator changing from high state to low state is increased, and it reduces time interval for leakage current to flow. 13.56 MHz 2 Vpp signal is used for input and $1k{\Omega}$ resistor and 1 nF capacitor are used for output load for simulation and experimental environment. In simulation environment, voltage conversion efficiency(VCE) is 87.5 % and Power conversion efficiency(PCE) is 50 %. When the rectifier is measured, VCE shows 90.203 % and PCE shows 45 %.

  • An advantage of a magnetostrictive strip transducer for a long-range guided wave inspection is that the wave patterns are relatively clear and simple when compared to a conventional piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer. Therefore, if we can characterize the evolution of defect signals, it could be a promising tool for a structural health monitoring of pipes for a long period of time as well as an identification of flaws. However, when evaluating a signal during a realistic field examination, it should be careful because of some spurious signals or false indications, such as signals due to a directionality, multiple reflections, mode conversion, geometrical reflections etc. Mode converted signals from a realistic piping mockup were acquired and analysed. We found mode conversions between a torsional guided wave T(0,1) mode and a flexural F(1,3) or longitudinal L(0,2) mode generated by a magnetostrictive strip transducer. Based on the experimental observations, an interpretation of the source of the mode conversion is discussed in a viewpoint of electromagnetic properties and structure of the strip transducer.

  • In the multi-carrier OFDM communication system for the high data rate transmission, the ICI caused by phase noise of transceiver local oscillator may degrade the system performance seriously. In this paper, a new ICI self-cancellation scheme using data-conjugate method is proposed to reduce the ICI caused by phase noise effectively. Then, the CPE, ICI and CIR are derived by the phase noise linear approximation method. Besides, to analyze the efficiency of system performance improvement, the proposed method is compared with the original OFDM and the conventional ICI self-cancellation scheme using data-conversion method. As results, the performance degradation caused by ICI can be mitigated effectively in the OFDM system with ICI self-cancellation scheme, and more performance improvement can be achieved by the proposed ICI self-cancellation scheme using data-conjugate method than the conventional ICI self-cancellation scheme using data-conversion method when phase noise exists.

  • In this paper, we propose an asynchronous IR-UWB ranging system based on the two-way ranging protocol. The periodic pulse sequence is used to measure a distance between two devices. At the receiver, a received signal is first transformed into a frequency-domain signal using an analog correlator bank and digital signal processing is followed in the frequency-domain. This make it possible for the system to use an ADC with a conversion speed of pulse rate. The proposed algorithm at the receiver side includes a peak detection procedure using mutipath channel compensation and matched filtering, and retransmits a pulse sequence synchronized with the detected peak. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified from simulation results where the CM1 channel is assumed.

  • In this paper, to overcome the effect of nonlinear power amplifier, CE-CPSK(Constant Envelope Continuous Phase Shift Keying)modulation method which has the constant envelope and continuous phase characteristics is proposed. The code acquisition performances of the CE-CPSK modulated system and BPSK system are analyzed. And the performance is evaluated in terms of mean acquisition time and detection probability with the output backoff of the amplifier in multiuser environment. Results performed in a channel having a high degree of AM nonlinearity(AM-to-AM conversion), have shown that the CE-CPSK signal, when passed through class C-nonlinear Amplifier, has a spectrum with greatly reduced sidelobes compared to the conventional BPSK signal. The code acquisition performance of a CE-CPSK modulation system is better than that of BPSK system with nonlinear amplified multiuser environments.

  • Conventional DLLs estimate the delay times of satellite signals individually and feed back these measurements to the VCO independently. But VDLL estimates delay times and user position directly and then estimate the feedback term for VCO using the estimated position changes. In this process, input measurements are treated as vectors and these vectors are used for navigation. First advantage of VDLL is that noise is reduced in all of the tracking channels making them less likely to enter the nonlinear region and fall below threshold. Second is that VDLL can operate successfully when the conventional independent parallel DLL approach fails completely. It means that VDLL receiver can get enough total signal power to track successfully to obtain accurate position estimates under the same conditions where the signal strength from each individual satellite is so low or week that none of the individual scalar DLL can remain in lock when operating independently. To operate VDLL successfully, it needs to know the initial user dynamics and position and prevents total system from the divergence. The suggested integration method is to use the inertial navigation system to provide initial dynamics for VDLL and to maintain total system stable. We designed the GPS/INS integrated navigation system. This new type of integrated system contained the vector pseudorange format generation block, VDLL signal processing block, position estimation block and the conversion block from position change to delay time feedback term aided by INS.

  • The main processes of a cognitive radio system include spectrum sensing, spectrum decision, spectrum sharing, and spectrum conversion. Experimental results show that these stages introduce a time delay that affects the spectrum sensing accuracy, reducing its efficiency. To reduce the time delay, the frequency spectrum prediction was proposed to alleviate the burden on the spectrum sensing. In this paper, the deep recurrent neural network (DRNN) was proposed to predict the spectrum of multiple time slots, since the existing methods only predict the spectrum of one time slot. The continuous state of a channel is divided into a many time slots, forming a time series of the channel state. Since there are more hidden layers in the DRNN than in the RNN, the DRNN has fading memory in its bottom layer as well as in the past input. In addition, the extended Kalman filter was used to train the DRNN, which overcomes the problem of slow convergence and the vanishing gradient of the gradient descent method. The spectrum prediction based on the DRNN was verified with a WiFi signal, and the error of the prediction was analyzed. The simulation results proved that the multiple slot spectrum prediction improved the spectrum efficiency and reduced the energy consumption of spectrum sensing.
