Recent Development in Ultrasonic Guided Waves for Aircraft and Composite Materials

  • Emphasis in the paper is placed on describing guided wave successes and challenges for applications in aircraft and composite materials inspection. Guided wave imaging methods discussed includes line of sight, tomography, guided wave C-scan, phased array, and ultrasonic vibration methods. Applications outlined encircles lap splice, bonded repair patch, fuselage corrosion, water loaded structures, delamination, and ice detection and de-icing of various structures.

  • This study was inverstigated on that a street view is the important point of the town planning. Until now, the street view has formed with senseless and coarse town planning because of lack of understanding of the street view during the urbanization in the same way and total lack of a consistent plan. On the sight of having a critical mind about the street view, this study was performed to present the analyses of the current problems of the street formation as the vivid directions of development for the future city view of the visual quality and the development of comfort.

  • In nuclear power plant, the main control room(MCR) plays a leading and important role, so it is the core to have its design well operater-centered, both physically and cognitively. This paper especially analyzes focusing on lighting MCR environment and shows alternatives. It will lead to improve work efficiency and to care operator's sight. In conclusion, reducing operator's stress, fatigue and increasing safety, comfort.

  • A convolution algorithm combined with Fourier transformation is applied to the tomographic reconstruction of the asymmetric soot structure to identify the local soot volume fraction distribution. The line of sight integrated data from light extinction measurement with multi-angular scanning form basic information for the deconvolution. Multi-peak following interpolation technique is applied to obtain the effect of increasing number of scanning angles. Measurement of LII signal for the same flame shows the validity of this reconstruction technigue.

  • The guidance system which uses the line-of-sight(LOS) rate to guide the missile towards its target has been used to the conventional differential game, such as the pursuer-evader game. Proportional navigation guidance and its derivatives have been shown to be an effective LOS rate guidance system. In this paper, we have used the genetic algorithm to construct the guidance system for the pursuer-evader type differential game. Also we have proposed the prediction model to obtain the informations about the intention of future actions of the pursuer and the evader.

  • In this paper, the properties of autocorrelation function of binary sequences are investigated. From these properties, the binary sequences which can be used for measurement of impulse response on fading channel are found by computer search. A receiver which can measure impulse response by use of these binary sequences is devised. This devised measurement system produces zero values of autocorrelation function for the all delays except zero sight.

Biased PNG for Approximate Target Adaptive Guidance

  • An approximate target adaptive guidance algorithm(TAG) is proposed on the basis of the assumption that angular acceleration of missile to target line-of-sight and start time for TAG can be obtained by IR seeker. The algorithm does not use any target state estimator. Instead, it avoids the problem of determining target attitude by using the observation that the missile using LOS rate guidance is nearly on the collision course in the later point of engagement. Computer simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively perform target adaptive guidance.

  • Missile and target closing velocity is used in the proportional navigation(PN) missile guidance loop. But it is difficult to estimate the closing velocity when passive seeker is used and only the Line-of-Sight(LOS) rate is available in the guidance loop. In this study, new closing velocity estimation method is developed. This method uses LOS rate measurement only and uses some characteristics of PN guidance law. The Lyapunov method is used to analyze the stability of the developed estimation method.

  • 이 글에서는 전술유도무기체계에서 호밍유도의 PNG 다음으로 많이 채택하고 있는 시선지령유도의 유도루우프 설계기술에 대해 논하고자 한다. 이를 위해 유도루우프를 구성하고 있는 부체계인 표적추적장치, 오차보상기, feedforward 보상기에 대해 살펴보고 유도루우프를 설계할 때 고려해야 할 유도오차를 발생시키는 요인인 표적의 기동, glint noise 등의 영향에 대해 분석한다. 또한 유도탄의 기동력과 지령수신기의 수신감도에 따라 결정되는 명중영역의 산출과 시선유도의 발전추세에 대해 언급하고자 한다.
