Seat is the part relevant to comfortableness and safety among automotive parts directly. It also should have sufficient stiffness and strength to satisfy these conditions and ensure the safety of passenger. Automotive seat is modelled with 3D and is simulated with structural analyses about three kinds of experiments by before and after gap, side gap, before and after moment strength. As analysis result, deformation angles of $0.038^{\circ}$ and $0.04^{\circ}$ are respectively shown at before and after gap test, side gap test. Through before and after the moment strength test, maximum total deformations of 0.18946mm and 3.2482mm are respectively shown at front and rear loads. By the study result of no excessive deformation and no fracture at automotive seat frame, the sufficient rigidity and strength to guarantee the safety of passenger can be verified.

This paper discusses the characteristics and effects of dielectric inner-supports on discone antenna for broadband RF test chamber, and the verification has been performed by simulation. Several design parameters such as the thickness of the gap support, the position of the side support, and the thickness of the side support has been analyzed. The thickness of the gap support affected the reflection coefficient. An effect of the offset of the side support from the center was slight below 3 GHz and significant above 3 GHz. The thickness of the side support did not affect the reflection coefficient or the gain much. The performance of the fabricated discone antenna was in good agreement with the simulated results. This investigation of a dielectric support effects could be used to design a commercial discone antenna for broadband RF test chamber, focusing on electrical performance and mechanical stability.

After miniplate fixation of mandibular angle fractures, fracture line stability during functional loading was evaluated. Using panoramic radiographs, 15 mandibular angle fracture patients who were treated by open reduction and one miniplate fixation along the external oblique ridge, were evaluated at postoperative 1, 4 and 8 weeks. At each time, 2 radiographs were taken: one taken during maximum biting of hardened silicone sheet on the affected side molar area and the other on the non-affected side. The distraction gap of inferior border of mandible at each time and each side was measured and these data were analysed statistically with clinical findings. The differences of inferior border distraction gap during hardened silicone sheet biting on the affected side molar area and on the non-affected side molar area at 4 week radiographs were smaller than those of 1 week's except one case. At 8 week's radiographs, the fracture lines were so stabilized that it was almost impossible to find the gap differences except one case and there were increased radiopacity along the entire fracture lines. Clinically, bony union was confirmed in all cases during plate removal performed at postoperative 6 month. By statistical analysis(paired t-test), the inferior border distraction gap during biting of hardened silicone sheet on the affected side was significantly reduced during 1 and 4 week interval(p<0.01). The differences of inferior border distraction gap during biting on the affected side molar area and on the non-affected side molar area were also significantly reduced at 1 and 4 week interval(p<0.01). But the inferior border distraction(compression) gap during non-affected side biting was not significantly changed. From these findings, it could be concluded that fracture line stability during functional loading after one miniplate fixation of mandibular angle fractures stems mainly from reduction of inferior border distraction gap during affected side biting on time interval. According to these radiographic and clinical findings, the clinical superiority of one miniplate fixation technique in mandibular angle fracture treatment could be confirmed.
This report describes the analytical solution of back EMF for BLDC motor using numerical analysis of air gap flux density. The analysis of air gap flux density is the key to expect the performance of back EMF for the design of brushless motor. The numerical analysis and FEM analysis are performed to vary attachment of stator side or rotor side, radial flux magnetization or parallel flux magnetization, magnet arc angle in the condition of constant air gap. This results have more reliable data comparing with test result of the back EMF for 7 phase BLDC motor.

This paper deals with the prebreakdown phenomena of $SF_{6}$ gap stressed by non-oscillating and oscillating impulse voltages in a strong inhomogeneous field disturbed by a fred needle shaped-protrusion on the earth-side electrode. The breakdown voltage-time characteristics were measured for both positive and negative polarities and over the gas pressure range of 0.1∼0.5 MPa, and the temporal developments of the 77breakdown were observed by a shunt of 50 n. The dependence of the leader stopping time on the gas pressure were obtained. The local field enhancement due to the space charges, which is produced by the streamer corona, has influence with the electrical breakdown of the test gap. The test streamer corona is oxy a necessary condition for the electrical breakdown and the subsequent ionization activities launch the leader at the local field region.
This paper presents a novel Intelligent-Welding-Carriage (IWC) for automation of curved block in shipbuilding. The curved block is usually used in both front and back side of the ship. In curved block root gap is big, $1{\sim}7$ [mm] and inclination, $0{\sim}30$ [deg]. Since available conventional carriage type is limited to use below root gap of 3 [mm], only manual welding is employed in curved block. To adopt an IWC in curved block, it requires control of the welding conditions, i.e., voltage, current and travel speed, with respect to root gap and inclination to achieve good welding quality. In this paper, an IWC is developed for automization of welding operation to accommodate gap and inclination. Kinematics model and dynamics using Lagrangian formulation of the manipulator is introduced. IWC utilizes a database to perform accurate welding. The database is programmed based on numerous experimental test results with respect to gap, inclination, material, travel speed, weaving condition, voltage, and current. Finally, experimental result using PID control is addressed for verify the trajectory tracking accuracy of end-effector.

The purpose of this study was to compare visual analogue scale (VAS), pain threshold (PT), $%RMS_{RVC}$, and EMG gaps before and after applying transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) on the upper trapezius muscle at the patients with myofascial pain syndrome (MPS). The subjects were 4 men and 10 women composed of both the inpatients and outpatients who were diagnosed as MPS at Wonju Medical Center. VAS and PT measurements were performed to assess the subjective pain level. The reference voluntary contraction (RVC) test was performed for 15 seconds for normalization on the bilateral trapezius muscle using surface electromyography (sEMG). After 3-minute resting time, the EMG signal was recorded while performing a typing activity for 2 minutes and then TENS was applicated with a comfortable intensity for 10 minutes. The EMG activity of the upper trapezius muscle was recorded during typing for 2 minutes. The results of study were as follows: 1) VAS score was significantly decreased on the more painful side after treatment, however, it was not significantly different on the less painful side. 2) PT was increased after treatment on both sides, however, it was not significantly different between before and after the TENS application. 3) The EMG activity during typing was significantly decreased after treatment, and 4) The EMG gaps were significantly increased after TENS treatment compared to before it. Consequently, the study showed that TENS was effective in decreasing VAS, $%RMS_{RVC}$, and in increasing EMG gaps. The EMG gap analysis could be a useful method to measure pain in patients with MPS in the upper trapezius.

It is important to measure the rotational accuracy of NC lathe spindle as it affects to the qualities of all machines machined by the NC lathe using in industries. The bad rotational accuracy of NC lathe spindle are caused mainly by wearness of the spindle in using and quality of spindle when machining and using low level bearings. It occurs especially in case of NC lathes because the cutting force acting to work-piece act on one side to the spindle not to both sides symmetrically. Therefore in this study, constructing experimental appratus for measuring of rotational accuracy by using eddy current type gap sensors, converters, screw terminal, data acquisition board inserted in computer and software f3r data acquisition, DT VEE ver. 5.0 and then error data acquired in the rotational accuracy test of NC lathe spindle are analysed in plots and statistical treatments.
