고무차륜형 AGT 경량전철 차량용 알루미늄 차체의 개발 (Development on the Aluminum Carbody for Rubber-Tired AGT Vehicle)

  • Based on the design requirements(size, strength, structure, weight, and etc.) for the rubber-tired AGT vehicle, carbody made of aluminum alloy is designed. The analysis of strength and stiffness is performed in the designed carbody, which results in the modification for optimal shapes and structures. It consists of a under frame, side frame, roof frame, end frame and forehead frame. After the carbody manufactured, tests are performed, which are vertical load test, longitudinal compressive load test, twisting load test, twisting natural frequency measurement, bending natural frequency measurement and 3 points supporting test. Results of them can guarantee a structural safety.

Wide LCD 모니터의 프레임 형태에 따른 감성 선호도 연구 (Affective Design for the Frame Size and Shape of Wide LCD Monitors)

  • With increasing needs for affective design, it became an essential part in a product development process to look up quantitative ergonomic data that reflects customers' preferences on design factors in various products. This study looked at wide LCD monitors and analyzed customers' affective preferences regarding monitor's bezel frame size and shape. The monitor's bezel frame depth, size and ratio were selected as independent variables among many design parameters. As dependent variables, customer's subjective preferences were measured. A statistical analysis revealed that monitor's bezel frame depth, size and ratio had significant effects on customer's preferences. Also, it was possible to find a different tendency on affective variables and their levels for 19" and 24" wide LCD monitors. In general, experiments revealed that customers reacted more sensitively in 24" wide LCD monitors to all variables. In 19" wide LCD monitors, only the lower frame bezel size had a significant effect, otherwise, lower, upper and side frame bezels appeared to be effective variables in 24" monitors. In order to reflect customer's affective preferences to new design of wide LCD monitors, this study is expected to provide quantitative ergonomic data and guidelines for the design of wide LCD monitor's bezel frame depth and size.

Joint Spatial-Temporal Quality Improvement Scheme for H.264 Low Bit Rate Video Coding via Adaptive Frameskip

  • Conventional rate control (RC) schemes for H.264 video coding usually regulate output bit rate to match channel bandwidth by adjusting quantization parameter (QP) at fixed full frame rate, and the passive frame skipping to avoid buffer overflow usually occurs when scene changes or high motions exist in video sequences especially at low bit rate, which degrades spatial-temporal quality and causes jerky effect. In this paper, an active content adaptive frame skipping scheme is proposed instead of passive methods, which skips subjectively trivial frames by structural similarity (SSIM) measurement between the original frame and the interpolated frame via motion vector (MV) copy scheme. The saved bits from skipped frames are allocated to coded key ones to enhance their spatial quality, and the skipped frames are well recovered based on MV copy scheme from adjacent key ones at the decoder side to maintain constant frame rate. Experimental results show that the proposed active SSIM-based frameskip scheme acquires better and more consistent spatial-temporal quality both in objective (PSNR) and subjective (SSIM) sense with low complexity compared to classic fixed frame rate control method JVT-G012 and prior objective metric based frameskip method.

보조정보의 움직임 벡터를 이용한 분산 비디오 코딩에서 H.264/AVC로의 트랜스코딩 (Transcoding from Distributed Video Coding to H.264/AVC Based on Motion Vectors of Side Information)

  • 본 논문은 저복잡도 및 고효율 분산 비디오 코딩에서 H.264/AVC로의 변환을 위한 트랜스코딩 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 낮은 복잡도로 높은 부호화 성능을 유지하기 위하여, 보조정보 생성을 위하여 측정된 움직임 벡터를 Wyner-Ziv (WZ) 프레임뿐만 아니라 키 프레임에서도 적용하여 부화화를 수행한다. 보조정보 생성을 위하여 측정된 움직임 벡터는 키 프레임에서 이전의 키 프레임으로의 움직임 추정에 의해 결정된 움직임 벡터임으로, 이 움직임 벡터를 이용하여 인트라 키 프레임을 예측 프레임으로 변환압축하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한, 제안한 방법은 두 예측 움직임 벡터를 기반으로 측정된 두 움직임 벡터 중, 비트율-왜곡 최적화를 수행하여 최적의 움직임 벡터를 선택한다. 보조정보의 움직임 벡터는 보조정보를 생성하기 위하여 수행된 움직임 추정을 통하여 측정된 움직임 벡터임으로, 적은 탐색 영역을 적용하여도 높은 부호화 효율을 얻을 수 있다. 따라서, 제안한 방법은 예측 움직임 벡터와 보조정보 기반의 예측 움직임 벡터로 적용하여 적은 탐색 영역에서 움직임 추정을 수행함으로써, 저복잡도로 높은 부호화 효율을 가질 수 있다. 실험결과는 기존 변환 방법과 대비하여, 트랜스코더의 복잡도가 2.82%로 감소하고 비트율 성능은 23.06% 상향되었다.

정부의 위기 커뮤니케이션 연구: 의약품 부작용 관련 언론 보도에 나타난 주요 주제, 정보원, 위기 책임 귀인, 프레임 분석 및 네트워크 분석을 중심으로 (Government's Crisis Communication based on the Main Theme, Source, Crisis Responsibility, Frame Analysis and the Network Analysis on the Side Effects of Drug of the Press)

  • 의약품 부작용과 같이 국민의 건강과 밀접한 관련이 있고, 전문적인 이슈의 경우 언론 보도는 국민들의 위기 대응과 정부의 위기관리에 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 점에서 중요하다. 이 연구는 의약품 부작용과 관련된 언론 보도를 주요 주제, 정보원, 위기 책임 귀인, 프레임을 분석하고 언론의 주목을 받은 의약품 부작용보도에 대해 네트워크 분석을 실시해 정부의 위기관리 방안을 제시했다. 일간지, 경제지, 전문지의 보도에 차이가 있었는데, 일간지는 부작용 발생과 같은 위기 발생을 중심으로, 경제지는 제약업계 관련된 기사를, 전문지는 의약품 정책을 비판하는 기사 중심으로 보도했다. 의약품 부작용과 관련된 주요 정보원은 국회의원이었다. 위기의 책임을 언급한 기사는 적었지만, 위기 해결의 주체에 대해서는 의약품을 생산한 업체가 해결해야 한다는 기사가 많았지만 전문지의 경우에는 정부가 문제를 해결해야 한다고 했다. 네트워크 분석을 통해 기사에서 중요하게 언급된 단어를 찾고, 단어와 단어의 관계 분석으로 기사에서 전달하고자 하는 의미를 찾았다. 이 연구는 내용분석과 네트워크 분석을 통해 의약품 부작용 기사를 분석하고 정부의 위기 커뮤니케이션 관점에서 공중별 정부의 위기 대응 방안을 고려해봤다는 데 의의가 있다.

핀이 없는 전폐형 유도전동기 프레임의 정익 설치에 의한 열전달 향상 (Heat transfer enhancement of finless TEFC induction motor frame by installing guide vanes)

  • The heat generated in an induction motor is mostly dissipated through the frame. The study on the heat transfer characteristics of a newly manufactured finless TEFC(Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) induction motor showed/that it had an unsuitable structure in view of the heat transfer. The angle of the cooling air flow was very large and the ribs disturbed the air flow and partially generated the wake region on the frame. In the wake region the temperature was very high. Thus the heat transfer coefficients were lower than those of the frame with fins. Also was investigated the heat transfer characteristics of the motor frame by installing various guide vanes in the fan-side end cap. An optimum heat transfer case was found and the average heat transfer coefficient of the frame was 70% higher and the average coil temperature measured by the resistance method was 9 deg. C lower than that of the frame which had no guide vanes.

고무차륜형 AGT 주행장치의 구조 및 피로해석 (The Structural and Fatigue Analysis for the Bogie Frame of the Rubber Wheel AGT)

  • Two representative types of the AGT (Automated Guideway Transit) system, which are bogie and steering types, are available for the side-guided system. Each system primarily consists of the bogie frame, suspensions, wheelsets and axles, braking system and transmission system. Among these components, the bogie frame is one of the most significant components subjected to the whole vehicle and passenger loads. This paper describes structural analyses and associated fatigue analyses for each bogie frame depending on the various loading conditions on a basis of the railway vehicle code UIC 515-4. Subsequently, comparisons are made between those two types to estimate which type is more reliable in terms of strength and fatigue. It is observed that the bogie type is a little advantageous over the steering one from the strength analysis. However, the two types are found to be in a reliable range of fatigue even though a realistic fatigue load case is further carried out. In addition, an optimal size of thickness is suggested for designs of the bogie frame.

  • Nondestructive inspection(NDI) is a testing procedure used to easily inspect an object for internal defects, abnormalities, shape, and structure, etc. without destroying it. Typical candidates for NDI include buildings, railways, aircraft, bridges, underground pipelines and various types of factory equipment. Recent advances in nondestructive evaluation(NDE) technologies have led to improved methods for quality control and in-service inspection, and the development of new options for material diagnostics. Under frame side sill in rolling stocks is designed for preventing corrosion in order to meet mechanical requirements. However during long operation time, there are corrosion in the under frame side sill caused by environmental effect, vibration and etc. This paper introduces the methods of a survey and assessment on NDI applications in Electric Multiple Units(EMU). The main objective of this paper was to obtain information on various applications and evaluation of NDI technology in EMU.

판재성형의 유한요소해석

  • Recently, finite element method has been used as an effective tool in the design process of sheet metal forming. In the present study, an implicit method and an explicit method have been developed for 2D analysis and 3D analysis, respectively, and applied to several processes including plane strain draw bending and TWB sqaure cup drawing. Also, commercial codes are used for geometrically complex problems, such as tube hydroforming, "L" cup deep drawing and side frame forming. In this paper, basic formulations used in the methods are introduced and results obtained from the applications are discussed.discussed.

알루미늄 차체의 사이드멤버 충돌에너지 흡수성능 최적설계 (The Crush Energy Absorption Capacity Optimization for the Side-Member of an Aluminum Space Frame Vehicle)

  • In order to improve the frontal crash performance of an Aluminum Space Frame Vehicle, this presents a systematic optimal design process to maximize the crush energy absorption capacity of side-members while satisfying the maximum displacement constraint. In this study, five design types are studied for selecting a good collapse initiator. Then, for the selected collapse initiator type, 7 design variables are defined to represent cross section shape, thickness and bead interval. The systematic optimization processor, R-INOPL uses DOE, RSM and numerical optimization techniques. R-INOPL uses only 14 analyses to solve the 7 design variable optimization problem the final design can improve 103.9% of the internal energy and reduce 13.9% of the maximum displacement.
