We studied a pollution mechanism for simulation of contamination environment in industrial concentrated area of around a metropolitan that made to circulated flow in the chamber. In case of the virgin both side of EPDM or Silicon insulator, we confirmed that the pollution to much more than service insulator in the field. Also contamination of initial state of the virgin didn't falling in spite of physical outside factor easily. This study confirmed to that the silicon was too much accumulated pollution contrast to EPDM insulator from scatter(spray) point to regular interval position use the Kaolin contaminant in the chamber. There are effected to the hydrophobicity of polymer insulator due to the pollution. In ceramic insulator, we get to know that pollution is much more at the Post insulator with vertical than with horizontal setup insulator.

There is a case to use dredged-sea sand as a filling material because of difficulty of obtaining required filling material for tideland reclamation project from the land. At this time, side slope erosion is occurred because the precipitation falling to the top of bank acts as infiltration water when it pass through inside of the semi-permeable filling section. This study has confirmed the declining effect of permeability by conducting permeability test to the condition of mixing of bentonite to the dredged sea-sand. And also this study has confirmed that the above processed-soil could be used as a water-proof layer to protect infiltration of water through the infiltration flow analysis.
There has been a growing interest in sleep problems associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In this paper, we reviewed the current literature on the underlying sleep problems associated with ADHD. Sleep problems are very common in children with ADHD. Patients with ADHD may have sleep difficulties including difficulty falling asleep, frequent night awakening, increased tiredness upon waking. Children with ADHD are associated to restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement and sleep-disordered breathing. Screening for other psychiatric comorbidities and the side effects of medications, such as psychostimulants, is also necessary when considering sleep problems in ADHD. Sleep problems can cause a negative impact on the quality of life and emotional well-being both of children with ADHD and their parents. Many evidences suggest that assessment of sleep difficulties should be included in evaluating the patient of ADHD.
Lying on the side while falling asleep deeply after drinking or taking a sleeping pill can cause compressive neuropathy. We report a 70-year-old male patient of medial cord of left brachial plexus injury (BPI) after deep sleep. The mechanism of the injury might be compression and stretching of brachial plexus. The electrodiagnostic study was performed and the medial cord lesion of BPI was suggested. The ultrasonography image of compression site revealed the nerve swelling of medial cord of brachial plexus and median nerve at the mid-arm level. Pharmacologic treatment including oral prednisolone and exercise training were prescribed. On 6 months after initial visit, neurologic symptom and pain were improved but mild sequelae was remained.
The effect of tip gap height on heat/mass transfer characteristics on the floor of cavity squealer tip has been investigated in a turbine cascade for power generation by employing the naphthalene sublimation technique. The squealer rim height is chosen to be an optimal one of $h_{st}/c$ = 5.51% for the tip gap height-to-chord ratios of h/c = 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0%. The results show that heat transfer on the cavity floor is strongly dependent upon the behavior of the cavity flow falling down onto the floor. For lower h/c, the floor heat transfer is influenced by the tip leakage flow falling down along the inner face of the suction-side squealer, whereas the floor heat transfer for higher h/c is augmented mainly due to the impingement of leakage flow on the floor near the leading edge. Compared to the plane tip surface heat transfer, the cavity floor heat transfer is less influenced by h/c. For h/c = 1.0%, the average thermal load is as low as a half of the plane tip surface one, and the difference in the thermal load between the two cases tends to decrease with increasing h/c.
Background: A hip fracture may occur spontaneously prior to the hip impact, due to the muscle pulling force exceeding the strength of the femur. Objects: We conducted falling experiments with humans to measure the activity of the hip muscles, and to examine how this was affected by the fall type. Methods: Eighteen individuals fell and landed sideways on a mat, by mimicking video-captured real-life older adults' falls. Falling trials were acquired with three fall directions: forward, backward, or sideways, and with three knee positions at the time of hip impact, where the landing side knee was free of constraint, or contacted the mat or the contralateral knee. During falls, the activities of the iliopsoas (Ilio), gluteus medius (Gmed), gluteus maximus (Gmax) and adductor longus (ADDL) muscles were recorded. Outcome variables included the time to onset, activity at the time of hip impact, and timing of the peak activity with respect to the time of hip impact. Results: For Ilio, Gmed, Gmax, and ADDL, respectively, EMG onset averaged 292, 304, 350, and 248 ms after fall initiation. Timing of the peak activity averaged 106, 96, 84, and 180 ms prior to the hip impact, and activity at the time of hip impact averaged 72.3, 45.2, 64.3, and 63.4% of the peak activity. Furthermore, the outcome variables were associated with fall direction and/or knee position in all but the iliopsoas muscle. Conclusion: Our results provide insights on the hip muscle activation during a fall, which may help to understand the potential injury mechanism of the spontaneous hip fracture.
Due to the population growth of the old aged, Korea is also entering into an aging society. But a research on the pattern design to the old aged is much to be desired. The purpose of this research is to design skirt pattern fitted for each body type by categorizing the lower body type of the old aged woman. For the way of research, categorized the body type by using the female measuring size from the 65 years old to 99 years old which has been measured by the Korean body size research as an assay data, and base on this data, a suitable skirt pattern for each body type of the old aged woman was designed by practicing the exterior evaluation. The data analysis was done with the statistical treatment in SPSS 12.0, and the results are as follows. The lower body type of the old aged woman were divided into the type 1. The circumference article is the biggest compared to the height article regarding to the lower body type of the old aged woman. The type 2. The height article and the circumference and thickness articles are the poorest. The type 3. The height article is the biggest and the hip width and calf circumference are thicker than the waist width. The type 4. The height article is the lowest and the waist width is thicker instead the hip and leg are thinner. In type 1, The pattern was modified by increasing 1cm a length of the dart and raising up 1.2cm at the cross point between side line and waist line. In type 2, the basic pattern was used, and in type 3, using the outline of the basic pattern however, increased 1cm a length of the dart and modified the amounts of dart by handling the art in curve, and modified the waist line to be more three-dimensional curves by raising up 1 cm at the cross point between waist line and side line and falling down 0.5cm at the cross point between the back center line and the waist line. In type 4, modified the amounts of front and back dart to 1.25cm, and raised up 0.8cm at the cross point between side line and waist line, and modified the waist line and the side seam line in a gentle curve by reducing circumference of the skirt tail to 1cm from the side seam line.
This research presents an evaluation of the weathering and deterioration state of the Wanggung-ri five-storied stone pagoda in the Iksan (National Treasure No. 289) and suggests conservational schemes. A deterioration map of the pagoda was drawn from the aspects of petrological, physical, chemical, biological, structural and artificial weathering. The rock properties consisting of the pagoda were medium-grained biotite granite that had leucocratic phenocryst developed in parts. The body of each story suffered severely from the secondary contamination that turned the colors into light grey, pitch dark, yellowish brown, and reddish brown as well as granular decomposition, exfoliation and peel-off. The roof stones were heavy exfoliated or peeled off in most of the cases. In addition to the fine cracks, there were layered cracks on the corners. The roof stones of the3rd and 4th story in the north and west side had some stones fall-off, while those of the 2ndstory in the north side had steel reinforcement filled for a fixing purpose. Those of the 5th story showed big gaps that must have originated from cracks and were easily subject to granular decomposition and rainfall. The inside clay filler was missing in the lower part of the roof stones of the 4th and 5th story and the supporting stones, which were thus covered by light grey or pitch dark sediments. The contact area of the materials was about 70 % in the parts where there was a space due to the filler missing and washigher than 90 % in the lower parts of the pagoda. About 90 % or more of the roof stones surface of each story were covered by aerial plants that formed a thick biological mat. Thus it seemed necessary to come up with the conservational measures to remove the plans living on the surface of the stone materials, with the plans to prevent rain from falling inside, and with the water repellent and hardening treatments to postpone the surface weathering of the rock properties. All those measures and plans must be based on the results of long-term monitoring and thorough detail investigations.

In this paper, we designed high voltage gate drive IC including dead time circuit in which capacitors controlled rising time and falling time, and schimitt-triggers controlled switching voltage. Designed High voltage gate drive IC improves an efficiency of half-bridge converter by decreasing dead time variation against temperature and has variable dead time by the capacitor value. and its power dissipation, which is generated on high side part level shifter, has decreased 52 percent by short pulse generation circuit, and UVLO circuit is designed to prevent false-operation. We simulated by using Spectre of Cadence to verify the proposed circuit and fabricated in a 1.0um process.
Liquid desiccant cooling technology can supply cooling by using waste heat and solar heat which are hard to use effectively. For compact and efficient design of a dehumidifier, it is important to sustain sufficient heat and mass transfer surface area for water vapor diffusion from air to liquid desiccant on heat exchanger. In this study, the plate type heat exchanger is adopted which has extended surface, and hydrophilic coating and porous layer coating are adopted to enhance surface wettedness. PP(polypropylene) plate is coated by porous layer and PET(polyethylene terephthalate) non-woven fabric is coated by hydrophilic polymer. These coated surfaces have porous structure, so that falling liquid film spreads widely on the coated surface foaming thin liquid film by capillary force. The temperature of liquid desiccant increases during dehumidification process by latent heat absorption, which leads to loss of dehumidification capacity. Liquid desiccant is cooled by cooling water flowing in plate heat exchanger. On the plate side, the liquid desiccant can be cooled by internal cooling. However the liquid desiccant on extended surface should be moved and cooled at heat exchanger surface. Optimal mixing and distribution of liquid desiccant between extended surface and plate heat exchanger surface is essential design parameter. The experiment has been conducted to verify effective surface treatment and distribution characteristics by measuring wall side flow rate and visualization test. It is observed that hydrophilic and porous layer coating have excellent wettedness, and the distribution can be regulated by adopting holes on extended surface.
