Study on the Leakage Flow and the Flow Analysis of Regenerative Pump (재생펌프의 누설 유동 및 내부 유동에 관한 연구)

  • Flows in a regenerative pump were calculated for several flow-rates, using the CFX-Tascflow. The calculated results show the vortex structure in the impeller and side channel. The predicted performance shows considerable discrepancy form the measured values for low flow rates. Main source of the difference is the leakage flow of pump strongly affecting the performance of pump. A simple correlation was proposed using calculated leakage flows through the parametric calculations of the simplified passage.

  • 부채널 공격(side channel attack)을 막는 새로운 접근방법으로 생각되는 랜덤 부호화 스칼라 곱 알고리즘은 Ha와 Moon에 의해서 제안되었다. 그러나 이 방법은 여전히 논쟁의 여지가 있다. 본 논문에서는 Ha-Moon 알고리즘이 기존의 세 가지 단순 전력 소모량 분석(simple power analysis, SPA)에 안전함을 보인다. 그리고 정수론의 성질을 이용하여 두 가지 중요한 정리를 제시하고 이 정리들을 이용하여 Ha-Moon 알고리즘에 적용할 수 있는 공격 알고리즘을 개발한다. 예를 들면, 163-비트 키들에 대하여 제안 알고리즘은 20개의 전력 소모량을 이용하여 키 복잡도 Ο(2$^{8}$ )를 가지고 공격할 수 있다.

  • This paper describes the structure and electrical characteristics of a shorted anode p-i-n switch. The device showed a significant improvement in the threshold voltage-to-holding voltage ratio, which is due to the suppression of the hole injection from the anode and to the gold gettering at the anode side. The shorted anode devices with a $100{\mu}m$ channel length have a threshold voltage of 300 volts and a holding voltage of 5.5 volts.

Random Point Blinding Methods for Koblitz Curve Cryptosystem

  • While the elliptic curve cryptosystem (ECC) is getting more popular in securing numerous systems, implementations without consideration for side-channel attacks are susceptible to critical information leakage. This paper proposes new power attack countermeasures for ECC over Koblitz curves. Based on some special properties of Koblitz curves, the proposed methods randomize the involved elliptic curve points in a highly regular manner so the resulting scalar multiplication algorithms can defeat the simple power analysis attack and the differential power analysis attack simultaneously. Compared with the previous countermeasures, the new methods are also noticeable in terms of computational cost.

  • 부채널 분석은 암호 알고리즘이 장치 내에서 동작하는 동안에 장치의 전력이나 전자파 등의 부가 정보의 수집, 가공 및 통계적인 분석을 통해 키 정보를 추출해내는 매우 강력한 공격 방법이다. 부채널 분석 시스템은 암호 모듈이 탑재되는 장치가 부채널 공격에 대해 안전한지를 사전 검증 및 시험할 수 있는 방법들을 제공한다. 본고에서는 다양한 부채널 분석 방법 및 이를 제공하는 부채널 분석 시스템에 대한 현황 및 전망을 기술한다.

Fault Attack on a Point Blinding Countermeasure of Pairing Algorithms

  • Recently, Page and Vercauteren proposed a fault attack on pairing algorithms and two countermeasures against such an attack. The countermeasure uses either a random scalar or a random point to blind the input points. To defeat the countermeasure using a random point, we utilize the point addition formula on an elliptic curve. As a result, we successfully defeat the countermeasure using a random point.

  • WDM optical communication system requires wavelength division multiplexing, reverse multiplexing and optical filter. OADM is a device that can separate or combine specific wavelength of channel from the transmission line. This paper suggests OADM that uses 2 steps FBG based on MZI structure. The OADM that uses 2 steps FBG can minimize the system size and reduce the value of side lobe remarkably. The results obtained in this paper can be used for design and application of OADM that uses 2 steps FBG.

  • To support the telematics and infotainment services, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication requires a robust and reliable network. To do this, the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has recently developed V2X communication. For reliable communication, accurate channel estimation should be done. However, because vehicle speed is very fast, radio channel is rapidly changed with time. Therefore, it is difficult to accurately estimate the channel. In this paper, we propose the new linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) channel interpolation scheme based on the Long Term Evolution (LTE) sidelink system in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) environments. In our proposed reduced decision error (RDE) channel estimation scheme, LMMSE channel estimation is applied in the pilot symbol, and then in the data symbol, smoothing and LMMSE channel interpolation scheme is applied. After that, time and frequency domain averaging are applied to obtain the whole channel frequency response. In addition, the LMMSE equalizer of the receiver side can reduce the error propagation due to the decision error. Therefore, it is possible to detect the reliable data. Analysis and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme outperforms currently conventional schemes in normalized mean square error (NMSE) and bit error rate (BER).

The effect of antipsychotics and antidepressants on the TREK2 channel (TREK2 채널에 대한 항정신성약물 및 항우울제의 효과)

  • Fluoxetine and tianeptine are commonly used as antidepressants (AD), and haloperidol and risperidone are widely used as antipsychotic drugs (APD), and it modulates various ion channels. TREK2 channel subfamily is very similar to physiological properties of TREK1 channel which can play important roles in the pathophysiology of mental disorders such as depression and schizophrenia, therefore, the pharmacological effect of psychiatric and depression drug on TREK2 channel may be similar to those of TREK1. Using the excised inside-out patch-clamp technique, we have examined the effects of APD and AD on cloned TREK2 channel expressed CHO cells. Fluoxetine (selective serotonin release inhibitor, SSRI) inhibited the TREK2 channel in a concentration-dependent manner ($IC_{50}$ $13{\mu}M$), whereas selective serotonin reuptake enhancer (SSRE) tianeptine increased without reducing the TREK2 channel activity. Haloperidol also inhibited the TREK2 channel in a concentration-dependent manner ($IC_{50}$ $44{\mu}M$), whereas even higher concentration ($100{\mu}M$) of risperidone did not completely inhibit on the activity. This study showed that TREK2 channel was preferentially blocked by fluoxetine rather than tianeptine, and inhibited by haloperidol rather than risperidone, suggesting differential effect of TREK2 channels by APD and AD may contribute to some mechanism of adverse side effects.

The Interrelationship between Dealing Partners in Conventional Marketing Channel (관습적 마아케팅경로에 있어서 구성원의 상호관계에 관한 연구)

  • The objectives of this study are to conceptualize theoretically and to examine empirically the interrelationships among channel member's satisfaction, dependence, and performance being immanent between dealing partners, by integrating behavioral and economic approach to explain comprehensively the interrelationship between dealing partners in conventional marketing channel which have not studied in previous studies. To attain above objectives, latent variables and observed variables which had been immanent between licenced dealers and wholesalers in fish marketing channel were found out by exploratory study, and pre-test was conducted to select the proper variables, and then the model which could explain the interrelationships among the variables was set up. Three categories of varables were considered in this study. Namely, economic and noneconomic factors were identified as independent variable, the degree of satisfaction and dependence to dealing partner as intervening variable, and performance as dependent variable. The data for the study was obtained from a survey questionnaire of 214 licenced dealers who work in Pusan, Yusoo, and Kunsan and 190 wholesalers who work in whole country. Among them, 264 anayzable questionnaires(including 154 licenced dealers and 110 wholesalers)were collected. Statistical procedure to analyze the data was carried out by LISREL version 7. Major findings obtained from the results of the analysis are as follows. First, economic variables have a great influence on the degree of both licenced dealers' and wholesalers' satisfaction. Among economic variables, the degree of keeping wholesalers' payment date have greater influence on the degree of licenced dealers' satisfaction, and licenced dealers' faculty being able to send good fish in quality have greater influence on the degree of wholesaler's satisfaction than other variables. In short, licenced dealers make great account of wholesalers' payment, and wholesalers make great account of licenced dealers' faculty being able to send good fish in quality in dealing relationship. Second, noneconomic variables have more relevance to the degree of dependence in both sides than economic variables. This means that noneconomic variables as well as economic variables can be a factor to keep up the dealing relationship. Third, the degree of satisfaction and dependence have influence on performance in both sides. In the licenced dealers' side, the degree of dependence have greater influence on performance than the degree of satisfaction, on the other hand, in wholesalers' side, the degree of satisfaction have greater influence on performance than the degree of dependence. This means that wholesalers can easily substitute their dealing partner for another licenced dealer comparatively.
