  • The symmetric key encryption algorithms, such as the AES or the ARIA, generate round keys by the key expansion mechanism. While the algorithm is executed, key expansion mechanism emits information about the secret key by the power consumption. The vulnerability exists that can reduce significantly the candidate of the secret key by the simple power analysis attack using a small number of the power traces. Therefore, we'll have to study about the attack and the countermeasure to prevent information leakage. While a simple power analysis attack on the AES key expansion has been studied since 2002, ARIA is insufficient. This paper presents a simple power analysis attack on 8-bit implementations of the ARIA-128 key expansion. The presented attack efficiently utilizes this information leakage to substantially reduce the key space that needs to be considered in a brute-force search for the secret key. We show that ARIA is vulnerable to a SPA attack based on hamming weight leakage.

  • Cyclosporin A is a powerful immunosuppressive agent commonly used for patients receiving organ transplants. Like phenytoin and the calcium channel blockers, the drug is associated with gingival overgrowth. The purpose of this study was to compare the correlation with gingival overgrowth score and clinical indices(i.e, : plaque index, papillary bleeding index, probing depth) and correlation with gingival overgrowth score and microorganism distribution in use of phase contrast microscope. After renal tranplant, taking cyclosporin A 40 patients participating in this investigation. Post - transplatation cyclosporin medication period was average $17.53{\pm}15.75$ months. In previous study reported that gingival overgrowth is an adverse side - effects seen in about 25-81% of patient taking cyclosporin A. The results were as follows : 1. Gingival overgrowth prevalence in taking cyclosporin A patients was 77.5%. Prevalence rate of region was anterior region(26 teeth, 55.3%), molar region(14 teeth, 29.8%), premolar region(7 teeth, 14.8%) in turns. Gingival overgrowth score by Angelopoulos & Goaz method was molar region($1.56{\pm}0.81$), anterior region($1.52{\pm}0.75$), premolar region($1.14{\pm}0.90$) in turns. 2. Medication period was not correlation with gingival overgrowth score. 3. Clinical indices and gingival overgrowth score were as follows. 1) Plaque index and gingival overgrowth score was significantly correlated(p

  • Gingival overgrowth is a well known side effect of several drugs, including nifedipine, phenytoin, cyclosporin, dilitiazem, verapamil. A number of studies have been performed to investigate the mechanism by which nifedipine(a calcium channel blocking agent) affects the gingival tissue. The aim of the present work was to investigate the effect of nifedipine on healthy gingival fibroblasts with special emphasis on determining the changes in cellular proliferation and protein and collagen synthesis. Gingival fibroblasts were obtained from the explants of healthy gingiva of extracted 3rd molars or premolar teeth extracted from the patients for orthodontic treatment. To evaluate the effect of nifedipine on cell proliferation, the cells were seeded at a cell density of $1{\times}10^4$cells/well in 24-well culture plates and treated with 100 and 200ng/ml of nifedipine for 10days. After trypsinization, the cells were counted with a haemocytometer on 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 10th days. Then, MTT assay was carried out. For total protein and percent collagen synthesis, $3{\mu}Ci/ml$ $^3H-proline$ was added to each well for the final 4 hours of the incubation period. The results indicate that nifedipine does not influence cell proliferation in healthy gingival fibroblast in vitro and has a specific effect in reducing total protein and percent collagen synthesis. On the above the findings, exogenous nifedipine does not influence on healthy human gingival fibroblast proliferation and protein and collagen synthesis.

  • In this paper, a small-sized planar square-spiral monopole antenna is proposed by using parasitic elements. The Parasitic element is composed of a crossed strip and additional right-angle folded(L-type) stirps. And these parasitic elements are printed on a substrate which is the opposite side of a radiation element . When the parasitic elements are used, the size of the square-spiral monopole antenna is reduced by $32\%$ for the same operating frequency compared to the antenna without parasitic elements. The radiation pattern of the proposed antenna is nearly omni-directional in azimuth. The designed antenna can be used in the application of channel 12 digital mulimedia broadcasting(DMB) handset.

  • In this paper, dual-polarized monopulse cassegrain antenna for W-band millimeter-wave seeker was proposed and the performances were verified by the measured results of the fabricated antenna. Dual-polarized monopulse Cassegrain antenna consists of main/subreflector, dual-polarized feed horn and monopulse comparator. The proposed feed horn has $2{\times}2$ array square waveguide feeding structure to make monopulse signals and it was designed using 90 degree rotational symmetric structure to receive dual-polarized signals. At the sum and difference channel, the measured vertical and horizontal polarization radiation pattern were similar. Measurement gains are 35.1 dBi for v-pol. and 35.6 dBi for h-pol. at the center frequency with 0.5dBi difference between each polarization and the side lobe level is below -21.6 dB.

  • A compact dual-band(IEEE 802.11b: 2.4~2.5 GHz, 11a: 5.15~5.825 GHz) 2-channel MIMO antenna for PMP applications is presented. The proposed antenna is composed of a planar inverted F-shape antenna(PIFA) operating at 2 GHz band and a loop antenna operating at 5 GHz band. The proposed antenna is orthogonally arranged at the edge of the ground plane for polarization and pattern diversities with excellent isolation characteristics. The two PIFA antennas operating 2 GHz have connecting line($\lambda_g$/4) face to the feed point for high isolation and low correlation at 2 GHz band. The two loop antennas connected each other in the bottom side to improve the isolation at 5 GHz band. The proposed antenna has a sufficient gain in WLAN service band and is compact sized for the portable media player (PMP) applications.

  • The aerodynamic characteristics of circular cylinder in a channel are studied to make clear the flow feature by solving the Navier-Stokes equation based on the finite volume method with unstructured grids. Reviews are made on with the vorticity, velocity, dynamic pressure, residual and drag, where the Reynolds numbers are 50 and 100. The flows for $Re{\succeq}50$ shows the vortex shedding in the wake, and the result is the same as the case of moving cylinder. The ground effect of flat bottom results in the growth of vortex, being generated in the upper side of the cylinder and elongated in the rear. As the cylinder approaches to wall, for example 0.6, the cylinder plays as a role of blockage to obstruct the flow between the cylinder and wall. The drag coefficients are compared with others' results to confirm the validity of the present numerical simulation.

  • The present study has been conducted to understand the heat and mass transfer characteristics of humid airflow in frosting conditions. A flat plate of aluminum was used for the simulation of flat surface part of the fin of the heat exchanger. The aluminum surface temperatures were measured and analyzed to clarify the heat and mass transfer characteristics under frosting conditions. Also, the pressure drops were measured to clarify the air-blocking effect of frost in the mini channel of the air-side hoot exchangers. A data reduction method was developed far the analysis of local characteristics of humid air under frosting conditions.

  • To find the mechanism underlying the ADP-induced increase in the outward current in ovulated mouse oocytes, we examined changes in voltage-dependent currents using the whole cell voltage clamp technique and the internal perfusion technique. Eggs were collected from the oviduct of superovulated mice with PMSG and hCG. Membrane potential was held at -60 mV (or -80 mV in the case of recording $Ca^{2+}$ currents) and step depolarizations or hyperpolarizations were applied for 300 ms. By step depolarizations, outward currents comprising steady-state and time-dependent components were elicited. They were generated in response to the positive potential more than 20 mV with severe outward rectification and were blocked by external TEA, a specific $K^{+}$ channel blocker, suggesting that they be carried via $K^{+}$ channels. Internally-perused 5 mM ADP gradually increased outward $K^{+}$ currents (IK) 1 min after perfusion of ADP and reached slowly to maximum (150~170%) 5 min later over the positive potential range, implying that ADP might not be acted directly to the $K^{+}$ channels. IK were decreased by 5 mM ATP without affecting the steady-state component of outward current. In contrast to the effect of ADP and ATP on IK, both effect of ATP and ADP on inward $Ca^{2+}$ currents (ICa) could not be detected due to the continuous decrease in current amplitudes with time-lapse ("run-down" phenomena). To check if there is a G protein-involved regulation in the ionic current of mouse oocytes, 1 mM GTP was applied to the cytoplasmic side, and the outward current and inward currents were recorded. ICa was promptly increased in the presence of GTP whereas IK was not changed. from these results, it is concluded that the ATP-dependent regulation is likely linked in the ADP-induced increase in the outward $K^{+}$ current, and G protein-involved cellular signalling might affect ion channels carrying $Ca^{2+}$ and $K^{+}$ in mouse oocytes.

  • We are entering into a era of enterprise computing that is characterized by an emphasis on broadband convergence, knowledge s haring, and calm services. Some people refer to this as the "ubiquitous" computing because its focus is on a high degree of connectivity between a company and its customers, suppliers, and channel partners. Ubiquitous computing technology, "RF" stands for "radio frequency"; the "ID" means "identifer". The tag itself of a computer chip and an antenna. The shortest metaphor is that RFID is like a bar-code but is read with an electromagnetic field rather than by a laser beam. Much has already been written about the use of RFID. But there is no has written about the use of RFID in the convention industry. Therefore this study have specific objectives as follows. 1. To give details on the use of RFID in convention. 2. To introduces the key concepts behind RFID technology. 3. To identify advantage & disadvantage of RFID technology using a BEXCO CASE study. 4. To study on ubiquitous convention using RFID and effective operation methods such as entrance identification system, session management, machine management, CRM management, visitor management, and contents management. This results provide into the current status of ubiquitous computing technology in convention industries. Specific advantages by using ubiquitous computing technology(RFID) are one-stop differentiate service, wireless internet service, use of visitor management system, entrance by tag, and U-logistics. On other side, disadvantages are security, stabilization of RFID system, higher price of RFID tag, and commercial scale. Convention by using of RFID technology is currently at an early stage. Convention company as BEXCO need to have the capabilities to adapt, to customize, to commercialize, and to modify technology to suit our circumstances.
