자동차용 등속조인트의 Axial Force와 Vehicle Shudder(II) (A Study on the vehicle Shudder Associated with Axial Force of Tripod Joint For Automobile)

  • This study examines the influence of some dimensional errors on the shudder-type disturbance of the tripod joint and vehicle, using an experimental evaluation and related simulation. With the introduction of the concept of influence factor, the sensitivities of shudder-type disturbance can be evaluated as the ratio of the difference between the ideal value without dimensional errors and actual value with them in the tripod joint and vehicle. Futhermore, influence factors calculated in this study can be utilized as a basic design data for the practical application of the tripod joint to an automobile design.

고정상태에서 신체 형태변화에 따른 떨림 판별의 예측시스템 연구 (A Study on Anticipation System of Shudder Distinction by the Physical Shape Alteration in Static Condition)

  • 생체의 움직임을 판별을 예측하는 기술은 흐름판별율과 스트림판별율로 변화의 형태를 구성하여 진행한다. 떨림의 움직이는 형태는 판별율의 조건에 따라 움직임의 유동시스템으로 구성한다. 흐름판별율은 생체 내 물질에서 특별한 부위의 신호를 대상으로 생체의 움직임을 정의하고 그 주변에 형태에 따라 흐름을 판별하여 떨림을 비교하여 신호값으로 선정한다. 스트림판별율은 스트림상태의 기준값을 설정하고 측정된 값과 비교하여 신호값으로 선정한다. 대상조건에 따라 판별은 특정부위의 상-아래-주변-중앙을 대상으로 최대치와 최소치 및 평균값으로 변수를 측정하였다. 떨림의 변화에 따라 상 $(-0.817){\pm}0.15$, 주변 $(-2.53){\pm}(-0.11)$, 아래 $(-0.29){\pm}0.03$, 중앙 $(-0.09){\pm}(-0.01)$ 의 최대치-최소치-평균값이 나타났다. 형태의 변화에 따른 현상을 통하여 생체의 움직임의 범위가 어떠한 형태의 유동현상을 갖고 있는지 예측할 수 있고, 특정부위의 상-아래-주변-중앙의 움직임으로 데이터를 구성하면 앞으로 특정부위의 여러 변화를 주었을 때 신체의 다양한 변화를 판별하는 예측기술이 진행될 것으로 판단된다.

  • The plunge joints of C.V. Joint for vehicle tend to produce a cyclic axial disturbance at a frequency of three of six times shaft speed, in which this distrubance caused by internal frictional effect is related to joint angle, rotational speed, torque, and joint size. This principal axial thrust force might make vehicle shuddered when coinciding with vehicle frequency of tranverse direction, and be one of reasons to have driver feel uncomfortable, unesay, while driving vehicle. The paper makes analysis of axial thrust force & vehicle shudder through computer simulation, comparing the result with experimental data, and reviewing the effect by changing of variables such as dimensions and driving conditions.

  • Engine torque is transferred to the transmission where drag torque is minimized improving fuel efficiency. This is particularly true in a wet clutch pack. This study measures slip friction when the wet clutch pack in a DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) is disengaged, and the friction pads are slipping. Shudder engagement velocity, and applied forces can be measured under various working conditions through these torque transfer experiments. Test results demonstrate that the design parameters, and engagement conditions of wet clutch packs can be optimized to reduce shudder and frictional vibration during engagement in a dual clutch transmission.

트라이포드 타입 등속조인트의 다물체 동역학 해석 (Multi-body Dynamic Analysis for Tripod Constant Velocity Joint)

  • The paper proposes a multi-body dynamic simulation to numerically evaluate the generated axial force(G.A.F) and plunging resistant force(P.R.F) practically related to the shudder and idling vibration of an automobile. A numerical analysis of two plunging types of CV joints, tripod joint(TJ) and very low axial tripod joint(VTJ), is conducted using the commercial program DAFUL. User-defined subroutines of a friction model illustrating the contacted parts of the outboard and inboard joint are subsequently developed to overcome the numerical instability and improve the solution performance. The Coulomb friction effect is applied to describe the contact models of the lubricated parts in the rolling and sliding mechanisms. The numerical results, in accordance with the joint articulation angle variation, are validated with experimentation. The offset between spider and tulip housing is demonstrated to be the critical role in producing the 3rd order component of the axial force that potentially causes the noise and vibration in vehicle. The VTJ shows an excellent behavior for the shudder when compared with TJ. In addition, a flexible nonlinear contact analysis coupled with rigid multi-body dynamics is also performed to show the dynamic strength characteristics of the rollers, housing, and spider.

승용차량 구동축의 작용력에 따른 진동특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Vibration Due to the Forces of Drive Shaft)

  • This study aims to understand the applied forces and related vibrational characteristics of a tripod joint (TJ), which is mostly used in front-drive-type middle-sized sedans in South Korea. The plunging force (PF) and generated axial force (GAF) are the most influential quantities related to the vibrational characteristics of a driveshaft. To obtain meaningful data, specially designed tests were performed using MTS test sets. The results of direct measurements reveal that higher PF and GAF values appear to worsen the vibrational characteristics of the vehicle. On the other hand, the measured apparent mass is useful for calculating the applied forces for a short driveshaft that has no dynamic vibration absorber. Among diversely controlled samples, it shows that the viscosity and tight fit are very sensitive to shudder vibrations of the vehicle. Therefore, these are good design factors for quality controls in the production line of constant-velocity joints.

  • Generated Axial Force (GAF) due to internal friction at Constant Velocity (CV) joints is one of the causes generating vibration problems such as shudder in vehicle. In this study, the GAF measuring tester is developed to precisely measure GAF caused by internal friction in CV joints. As the developed tester can control temperature at joint, driving torque, angle of rotation and joint angles, actual driving conditions such as sudden acceleration can be applied to the machine. GAFs are measured and compared by using different types of grease in tripod housing. Also GAFs are measured for both new and used CV joints to be compared and analyzed. The test result shows the repeatability and consistency of the tester in terms of the different test conditions. By using the developed CV joint tester, friction performance of the joint can be evaluated by proposing the best CV joints as well as greases generating the lowest GAF.

  • 어떤 것도 시장에서 벗어날 수 없다. 모든 것이 시장에서 거래되고 시장에서 평가된다. 이러한 정도로 교환적 동일성 원리의 보편적 지배가 실현된 오늘날, 헤겔이 철학에 요구했던 완전한 동일성 인식이라는 이념이 실현된 것처럼 보인다. 문화산업은 생산을 위한 생산의 원리에 따라 문화를 생산함으로써 문화마저도 시장에서 교환되는 추상적 대타존재로 상품화하기 때문에, 시장에서 교환될 수 없는 것은 무가치하고 쓸모없는 것으로 배제된다. 이러한 방식으로 문화산업이 새로운 것을 위한 여지를 없애버림으로써, 더 이상 새로운 것과 새로운 것에 대한 경험은 불가능하게 되었다. 그러한 정도로 의식은 물화되고, 자율로서 자유는 과거의 향수를 불러오는 것 이외에 어떤 의미도 가지지 않는 공허한 개념이 되었다. 정말로 새로운 것에 대한 경험이 불러일으키는 충동이 없다면, 의지도 없을 것이고, 의지가 없다면 의식적 사유도 가능하지 않을 것이며, 인간은 프로그램에 따라 작동되는 로봇과 더 이상 차이를 가지지 않는 단순한 유적 존재로 전락할 것이다. 그럼에도 현실 세계에서 무의미해진 의지의 자유가 인간이 인간이기 위한 본질적 요소이며, 그렇기 때문에 문화산업이 생산을 위한 생산의 논리에 따라 문화를 상품화함으로써 의식이 물화된 시대에, 문화산업의 논리로 흡수되지 않는 자율적 예술은 물화된 의식을 일깨움으로써 자유로운 인간 사유와 행위를 가능하게 하는 물화된 의식의 해독제가 될 것이다. 이러한 의미에서 본 논문은 동일성 인식의 구성적 불완전성에 대한 비판과 더불어 가능하게 되는 사유하는 언어로는 표현할 수 없는 것, 그래서 교환될 수 없는 것에 대한 경험을 통해 전율로서 미적 경험을 정당화하려 한다. 그런 다음 이러한 전율로서의 미적 경험이 자율적 예술을 가능하게 한다고 논증할 것이다.

서구 죽음학에서 베케트 죽음관 자리매기기 (Trying to Place Beckett's View on Death in Western Thanatology)

  • Beckett's life-long struggling with death may be illuminated in terms of the Western tradition of thanatology as well as Philippe Ariès's anthropological classification of death. Among the Western tradition, Beckett's oeuvre incarnates memento mori, timor mori, nihilism, theatrum mundi, life as afterlife, and the transsubstantiation of the self. Among the five views of death Ariès suggests, Beckett appears to foreground the death of the self and the invisible dirty death. In a world devoid of transcendental Signified, Beckett's resident is "a poor player/That struts and frets his hour upon the stage." Our contemporary vision of death is dominated by the dirty death and timor mori resurrected from the cultural icon of danse macabre in the late Mediaeval age as vividly dramatized in W;t by Margaret Edson. Beckett stands in no man's land: Lucky complains of divine aphathia as well as scopes at the possibility of God's existence like Hamm. Beckett's way of getting out of the dilemma is laughing a mirthless and dianoetic laugher. To bourgeois class who shudder at the sight of Grim Death after forgettable years of indulgence and addiction to capitalist consumption, Beckett seems to preach, your life is a death-in-life, you are not born yet until you are baptized with existential awakening as Gregor Samsa in Kafka's Verwandlung, or Tolstoy in Confession.
