The effects of perceived internet fashion shopping mall characteristics on positive shopping emotion and relationship quality (지각된 인터넷 패션 쇼핑몰 특성이 긍정적 쇼핑 감정과 관계의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate whether customer perception on internet fashion shopping mall characteristics influences positive emotion on internet shopping and relationship formation. For data collection, a questionnaire was administrated from February 20th to March 3th in 2012 to 362 adults who have purchased the products from internet fashion shopping mall. The analysis explores the effect of internet shopping mall characteristics on positive shopping emotion and relationship quality. It also tests the mediation effect of positive shopping emotion for the influence of internet fashion shopping mall characteristics on relationship quality. The results are as follows. First, the perceived internet fashion shopping mall characteristics had positive effects on relationship quality. Second, the perceived internet fashion shopping mall characteristics had positively effects on positive shopping emotion. Third, the effect of positive shopping emotion had positive effects on relationship quality. Fourth, the effect of perceived internet fashion shopping mall characteristics on relationship quality, mediated by positive shopping emotion, was shown to be none.

  • The objectives of this study are to understand the factors composing the attributes of mobile social-commerce shopping mall and the characteristics of shopping mall business, and also to verify the effects of those attributes on the shopping satisfaction and shopping mall loyalty. The respondents participating in this study are the consumers who have experiences in purchasing fashion clothing in mobile social-commerce shopping mall within the last one year. The results of this study are as follows. First, the personally-customized service and convenience of shopping mall had positive effects on the social-commerce shopping satisfaction. Second, the personally-customized service and diversity of products had positive effects on the shopping mall loyalty. Third, the reputation of shopping mall of the characteristics of social-commerce shopping mall business had positive effects on the shopping satisfaction and shopping mall loyalty. This study above could provide the important implications for the establishment of marketing strategies for vitalizing the fashion clothing market of social-commerce shopping mall.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among Shopping Orientation, Shopping-mall characteristics, Consumer Satisfaction, and Loyalty in online market. Data were collected from 405 adult women and analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA and Duncan test using by SPSS 12.0. The results showed that recreation shoppers to buy the cosmetics in online market, were more likely to perceive the shopping mall characteristics, information, check-out convenience, and product price of shopping mall than the other shoppers. Both brand oriented shoppers and economic oriented shoppers were more likely to perceive information offered at newsletters and e-mail of Internet shopping mall. Additionally, the more active shoppers were the more satisfied and the greater loyalty at online shopping mall of cosmetics. Implications are drawn for the information useful marketer and retailers of the online shopping mall of cosmetics.

Individual Characteristics Affecting User's Intention to Use Internet Shopping Mall (개인 특성이 인터넷 쇼핑몰 사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Technology acceptance model(TAM) has been widely used to predict the end-user's acceptance of a new IT/IS. We used TAM as a theoretical foundation to explain user's intention to use an Internet shopping mall. The theoretical model is tested with the questionnaires from 308 users of an Internet shopping mall. Results show that several individual characteristics such as Internet skills and self-efficacy have a significant impact on user's perception of usefulness and ease of use. Results also show that both perceived enjoyment and perceived usefulness of Internet shopping mall strongly predict intention to use the Internet shopping mall. However, perceived ease of use has no direct influence on intention to use the Internet shopping mall. Personal innovativeness and Internet skills also have a positive effect on perceived enjoyment. Therefore, Internet shopping mall managers have to consider intrinsic motivational factor(enjoyment) as well as extrinsic motivational factor(usefulness). In addition, individual characteristics should be emphasized to form the positive beliefs about using the Internet shopping mall.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the important factors and efficient strategies concerning internet marketing. The areas of study interest are, the characteristics of on-line shopping mall and the consumer shopping propensity. To do this, a 24-item Internet shopping mall characteristics and a 13-item consumer shopping propensity variables were developed to collect data from the 230 samples. The sample population composed mainly of, the college students and business man who had recent on-line shopping experiences on apparel goods. The 4-item satisfaction measure was used as the dependent variable. Also, a 11-item perceived shopping value measure was developed and measured to explore the mediating effect in the path between the endogenous and exogenous variables. Findings indicate that the characteristics of Internet shopping mall significantly contribute to the utilitarian shopping values, while the consumer shopping propensity contributes to the utilitarian and hedonic shopping values. In addition, the characteristics of internet shopping mall, the consumer shopping propensity, and shopping values are the good indicators for the consumer satisfaction.

  • Through the use of internet, a new trend of business which is now known as electronic commerce has emerged. Although the importance of shopping mall design has been mentioned frequently, empirical study towards the design factors has been scarcely carried. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the design factors of a shopping mall and the user characteristics. Result showed that there is a significant relationship between the some design factors of shopping mall and user characteristics. Especially the users of internet shopping mall those who have used the web frequently tend to dislike the diverse use of complex fonts, bold, or italics. The result of this paper can give some ideas to the people who are designing a shopping mall and company who tries to construct a shopping mall.

  • This research studied E-Biz strategy based on the types of internet shopping-mall and user group. This study classified types of internet user into suffer group, searcher group, and confusion group according to navigation characteristics. The types of internet shopping-mall were divided into total directed mall, total mediated mall, special directed mall, and special mediated mall. The empirical study revealed that the intention of purchase has positive relationship with the assurance of e-SERVQUAL. Mediated type shopping-mall had higher market share than directed type in the use of internet shopping-mall. Suffer group was the target market of total mediated shopping-mall. Users of this group considered importantly the trust of e-SERVQUAL. Searcher group targeted special mediated shopping-mall. They had significant consideration to the responsiveness of e-SERVQUAL. Confusion group targeted direct shopping-mall. These groups had important consideration to the assurance of e-SERVQUAL.

  • Internet commerce has the potential to propel a company to "break out" of existing strategic constraints and radically alter business processes, strengthen customer and supplier ties, and open up new markets. Therefore, many firms have rushed into internet commerce to conduct business more efficiently, create new business opportunities, and generate business value. Since internet shopping mall not only become a valuable channel for selling goods to customers, but also offer companies an important vehicle for attaining competitive advantages in the new digital economy, the design and content of internet shopping mall must reflect its business goals and customers' needs. However, as little empirical evidence on the effect of internet shopping mall contribution of firm performance exist, the functionality of a firm's internet shopping mall has been decided voluntarily from its business experience. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the marketing functional characteristics of internet shopping mall and its performance. 125 questionnaires from internet shopping malls which sell physical goods direct to an individual end consumer were collected. The results showed that some factors(price, product recognition, reliability enhancement) affect positive effects on the performance of internet shopping mall.

Consumers' Characteristics according to Patronage Online Shopping Mall (애고 온라인 점포 유형별 소비자 특성)

  • This study categorizes online fashion shopping malls according to consumer store patronage behavior as well as classifies consumer groups by online shopping mall patronage to understand the unique characteristics in each phases of purchase. A quantitative survey was conducted using 487 questionnaires from women in their 20s and 30s. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis, cross-tabulations, factor analysis, T-test, ANOVA, cluster analysis, and ${\chi}^2$-test. The findings of this study are as follows. First, online shopping malls were classified into three types of 'integrated mall', 'open market' and 'specialized fashion mall'. Second, based on one of the three types of categorization consumer groups patronizing each type turned out as follows: integrated mall patrons (141, 28.95%), open market patrons (226, 46.41%) and the specialized mall patrons (119, 24.64%). Third, the characteristics of each group had significant differences according to clothing shopping orientation, information search, shopping mall behavior, spending on online shopping, and e-loyalty.

Analysis of the Current Status of Internet Fashion Shopping Malls and Proposal of a Cyber Fitting System as an Improvement

  • In order to correctly understand the Internet fashion shopping mall, which is expected to continuously grow up, and to strengthen marketing activities in cyber space, a more scientific and systematic research is necessary. Most of the early researches of the Internet fashion shopping mall were focused on technical parts so they studied the environmental and physical characteristics of the Internet fashion shopping mall, but recently, the Internet fashion shopping mall is activated and accordingly, the interest in Internet shopping users is going up. Under this circumstance, the research to understand the characteristics of Internet shopping consumers becomes necessary. Therefore, the research was conducted by a survey, focusing on college students who use Internet a lot. The survey covered the experience and the type of using the Internet fashion shopping mall, the extent of satisfaction, strengths, and weaknesses of the Internet fashion shopping mall, the use of a cyber fitting system, and the possibility of the development of the Internet fashion shopping mall having a cyber fitting system. As a result of the study, it was found that: most of the students used the Internet fashion shopping mall; they used a fashion-specialized mall most; they pointed out economy of time as the biggest strength of using the Internet fashion shopping mall; they thought the biggest weakness of the Internet fashion shopping mall is that they can not try on clothes so they can not check whether clothes go well with them or not; and regarding the intention to use a cyber fitting system if available and the possibility of the development of the Internet fashion shopping mall, they replied that they would use it and the malls with the system would be developed. Based on the results, this study proposes a cyber fitting system as an improvement of the Internet fashion shopping mall.
