생산 현장 중심의 설계/생산 통합 정보 시스템 개발 (The Development of a Shop Floor-Centered Information System for the Integration of Design and Manufacturing Data)

  • To increase the productivity and efficiency of an enterprise, all relevant product information should be provided to shop floor workers timely and in a unified form because shop floor workers are final consumers of most accumulated information generated from various departments of an enterprise. But, most existing enterprise information systems have an emphasis upon providing design/manufacturing information to office workers. Proposed in this study is the development of integrated design/manufacturing information system focused on providing cohesive information required to shop floor activities. For developing integrated information system, the functional requirements at the shop floor are identified and analyzed. Based on the extracted functional requirements, object-oriented system design and implementation is conducted. By using this system, shop floor workers can use all relevant information required to their daily operation in a integrated and unified form.

  • The punose of this paper is to introduce the comprehensive CAM system (called PosCAM) supporting various function requested from shop floor operators. PosCAM is comported of two subsystems (PosCAM I and PosCAM II) which are designed to make up for the contemporary CAD/CAM systems. PosCAM I is mainly for : a) verifying the part programs written in both custom macros and standard G-codes, b) enhancing machining productivity and quality with built-in cutting conditions and feedrate optimization algorithm. PosCAM II is for : a) efficiently managing the numerous part programs and tool data stored in CNC memory, and b) integratively controlling and monitoring various CNCs from the control center through RS-422 with DNC 2 protocol. The developed systems have been tested via various experiments, and can be Applied for the industrial CNC machine shop as a means for enhancing productivity. The PosCAM system has been implemented and successfully used in the Machine Shop Department of PosCAM since march 1998.

공급사 모니터링이 현장생산성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Study of the Effects of Supplier Monitoring on Shop floor Productivity)

  • 최근 구매사와 공급사 간의 정보 공유 및 협업 등의 아웃소싱 활동은 공급사슬관리에서 매우 중요한 전략으로 자리매김하고 있다. 아웃소싱은 경쟁우위 확보를 위해 필수적인 방안으로 활용되고 있으나, 계약이 체결된 이후에는 공급사에 대한 통제력이 저하된다. 이러한 상황에서는 공급사에 대한 모니터링을 통한 일상적인 통제만이 유일한 공식적 통제수단으로 남게 되며, 통제관리가 어떻게 이루어지느냐에 따라 기업성과에 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 아웃소싱 계약 체결 이후 공급사의 외주 구매성과와 구매사와 공급사 간의 운영통합 강화를 위한 전략을 제시하였다. 선행요인으로 공급사 모니터링을 고려하였으며, 공급사 모니터링 노력에 의한 외주 구매성과와 구매사와 공급사 간 운영통합을 강화하여 구매사의 현장생산성 향상으로 반영되는 연구 모형을 제시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 구매사의 역량 모니터링, 행위 모니터링, 결과 모니터링은 공급사의 외주 구매성과와 운영통합 강화에 유의미한 선행요인으로 나타났다. 또한, 공급사 모니터링은 공급사의 외주 구매성과와 공급사 운영통합을 완전매개로 하여 구매사의 현장생산성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 행위 모니터링의 부정적인 효과가 특이한 점으로 나타났는데, 행위 모니터링이 공급사 운영통합에 음(-)의 효과는 공급사 운영통합이 공급사 현장생산성 향상에 미치는 정(+)의 효과를 상쇄시키기 때문에 매개효과가 나타나지 않은 것으로 추정되었다. 이를 통해 이론적, 실무적 시사점과 본 연구의 한계점, 향후 연구수행 방안 등이 제시되었다.

생산현장 모니터링을 이용한 중소 제조기업용 비가동 시간 수집 및 분석 (Downtime tracking for small-medium sized manufacturing company using shop floor monitoring)

  • 제조기업의 생산성을 높이기 위해서는 생산현장에서 발생하는 다양한 손실에 대한 분석 및 개선이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 비가동 손실 분석을 위하여 기존에 구축한 생산현장 정보 수집 시스템을 활용한 설비/공정의 비가동 시간 수집 및 분석에 대하여 소개한다. 비가동 시간, 원인을 수집하기 위하여 생산현장 모니터링 정보, 사용자 등록 비가동 이벤트, 설비 고장진단 알고리듬, 작업자 입력을 활용하였다. 또한 수집된 비가동 시간의 분석을 수행하기 위한 웹 기반의 사용자 인터페이스를 개발하였다. 부품가공기업의 시범 적용을 통하여 시스템의 유용성을 확인하였다.

Study on Influence of Standardization of Agricultural Product Packages on Cost in Hypermarekts

  • Although dictionary definition of standardization is 'to prevent disordered complexity and to make and use rules for reasonable simplification or unification, from a position of shop-floor operations of distribution, it is directly connected to efficiency, that is 'productivity equals cost savings'. This study analyzed influence of standardization of agricultural product packages in hypermarkets on costs in stakeholders of distribution channel such as suppliers, distribution centers and hypermarkets. The research findings demonstrated that it would influence manufacturing costs of suppliers and improve shop productivity of hypermarkets.

생산장비의 Client-Server화 연구 (Client-Server System for Manufacturing Devices)

  • Job efficiency and productivity of a manufacturing system with frequent job schedule changes are affected by performance of information system between job order planners anti manufacturing device operators. This paper describes implementation of concurrent information system which can active identify machine status and dispatch job orders to operators in a machine shop. Client and server environment for various machinery is implemented using OSI based network between shop floor control system and manufacturing devices. Portability and scalability are among many characteristics of the implemented system. The developed client and server system is expected to realize high productivity for manufacturing device.

Production Information Monitoring System for CIM in Footwear Industry

  • This paper presents a production information monitoring system as an infrastructure of CIM system in footwear industry. The system is composed of hardware devices of terminal, communication converter, line controller and software for manufacturing processes. A terminal like a scanner is used for shop floor data input and a line controller is used to link between terminal and server. LAN and RS485 are used for connecting hardware components and deliver their information mutually. In the system, real time production information is acquired from information resources such as group of uppers and soles. The collected production information is delivered to a line controller and analyzed. Server receives information from line controller and machines for production management. Production planning information that is machined in the server is delivered to the shop floor and used for the production management of work in process, and used for improvement of productivity in a footwear production company. The implementation of the developed system shows the effectiveness of the system.

판넬블록 생산관리를 위한 시뮬레이션 기반 조선생산실행시스템 개발 (Development of simulation-based ship production execution system(SPEXS) for a panel block assembly shop)

  • 조선소에서 판넬블록 생산공정은 가장 많은 물량을 처리해야 하는 중요하고 복잡한 공정이 고, 모든 선박 및 해양구조물의 하부는 반드시 판넬블록 생산 공정을 거쳐야 하기 때문에 판넬블록 생산공정은 병목공정으로 평가된다. 공정의 생산성을 극대화하기 위해 본 논문에서는 디지털 선박생산에서 가장 중요한 기술 중의 하나인 시뮬레이션과 최적화기법을 활용하여 조선생산실행시스템(SPEXS)을 개발하였고, 판넬블록조립장 적용사례로 SPEXSPanel을 구축하여 향상된 일정계획을 수립하는 효과를 보였다. 더불어 SPEXS-Panel은 지속적인 개선을 통해 야드 생산성 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

터빈/발전기 생산업체의 품질검사 관리시스템 개발 (Development of a Quality Inspection Control System for a Torbine/Generator Production Industry)

  • In order to intensify an enterprise competition, quality inspection controls are very important issue. An organization or division of a company hopes which to acquire the quality inspection information be updated in real-time with respect to shop floor. In this paper, we develop a quality inspection control system for a Turbine/Generator production industry. The system compromises inspection scheduling module related to shop floor control (SFC) system, formal documentation control module, and formal inspection control module. In the quality inspection control system, ORACLE RDBMS is used for the database management system and ORACLE DEVELOPER 2000 is used for system development tool. The characteristic of this system is to support so it can enhance productivity and quality through inspection plans related to production scheduling.
