함정탑재장비 규격통일화를 위한 충격시험기준 고찰 (Review of Shock Test Standards for Unifying Specification of Naval Equipments)

  • Naval equipments are installed and used for naval vessel with different environmental conditions comparing to the commercial vessel, for example, high engine power per ship displacement size, severe vibration and shock due to high running speed and explosion from naval gun's bombardment and underwater weapons. Therefore, those equipments must be installed on shipboard with small spaces, high ambient temperature around engine room and which are required be fabricated with high resistances of vibration, shock and heat resources. But in case of commercial vessel, the performances of their recent equipments naval have been improved continuously due to the technology development of domestic shipbuilding and shipboard equipment industries, together with the related fundamental industries i.e, metal, steel and electronic industries, to an international level since 1970. With these results, it became possible to unify the specifications of shipboard equipments for the commercial and military vessels(Dual-Use). In this study, vibration and shock test standards for the commercial and military vessels will be compared and reviewed technically.

수압시험 시 관 단면적 비 및 충수 속도별 탱크 내부 과압 발생에 관한 해석 (Analysis of Internal Overpressure by Pipe Cross-Sectional Area Ratio and Filling Rate in the Hydraulic Test of Shipboard Tank)

  • This study was conducted based on the case of an accident (excessive deformation) that occurred during the hydraulic test of a shipboard tank manufactured in accordance with the design regulations. Over-pressure phenomenon was noted as the main cause of accidents in the process of testing tanks without physical damage, which can be found in external factors such as cross-sectional difference between inlet pipe and air pipe and higher water filling rate than the recommended one. The main goal of this paper is to establish a safe water filling rate according to the range of sectional area ratio(SAR) reduced below the regulations for each test situation. The simulation was conducted in accordance with the hydraulic test procedure specified in the Ship Safety Act, and the main situation was divided into two types: filling the tank with water and increasing the water head to the test pressure. The structural safety evaluation of the pressure generated inside the tank and the effect on the structure during the test was reviewed according to the SAR range. Based on the results, guidelines for the optimal filling rate applicable according to SAR during the hydraulic test were presented for the shipboard tanks used in this study.

최적 구조 신경 회로망을 이용한 선박용 안정화 위성 안테나 시스템의 모델링 (Modelling of a Shipboard Stabilized Satellite Antenna System Using an Optimal Neural Network Structure)

  • 본 논문은 비선형성을 많이 내포하고 있어 수학적으로 모델링 하기 어려운 선박용 안정화 위성 안테나 시스템을 모델링하기 위해서, 신경 회로망의 오차 및 응답시간을 최소로 하는 최적 구조 신경 회로망 모델을 도출하고 이를 적용하고자 한다. 오차와 응답시간을 최소화하기 위해 유전알고리즘을 이용하여 신경 회로망 구조를 설계하였다. 안테나 시스템으로부터 얻어진 입출력 데이터에 거하여 본 논문에서 제안한 식별기를 이용하여 안테나 시스템을 식별하였으며, 실제 선박의 운동 성분에 대해서도 시스템을 잘 표현할 수 있는 최적 구조 신경 회로 기반 시스템 식별기를 얻을 수 있었다. 실제 실험을 통해서, 최적 신경회로망 구조가 안테나 시스템 식별에 효과적인 것을 알 수 있었다.

함정탑재장비용 대용량 마운트의 성능시험평가 (Experimental Evaluation of the Performance of Large-Capacity Mounts for Naval Shipboard Equipments)

  • Mounts for shipboard equipment in naval ships play an important role for vibration and shock suppression. New large-capacity resilient mounts, SDR-D30 and SDR-D45, have been developed. This paper involves performance tests for the mount which have maximum load of 30 kN and 45 kN, respectively. The performance tests have been carried out for several mounts based on military standards, such as MIL-M-19863D(SH), MIL-M-21693C(SH), MIL-M-17508F(SH), and MIL-S-901D(NAVY). The test items consist of deflection at upper rate load test, dynamic stiffness, uniformity, static load-deflection(axial, transverse and longitudinal), drift test, fatigue test, and shock test. From these performance tests, it is confirmed that the two mounts have good performances based on military standards.

  • 함정구조물은 함내 엔진 및 프로펠러 추진력의 환경진동에 노출되어 있다. 일반적으로 함상구조물은 함상진동규격인 MIL-STD-167-1A 에 따라 개발되고 있으며, 장기간 사용을 목적으로 하는 함상구조물의 진동에 대한 피로수명은 해석적 접근법과 진동실험을 통해 반드시 평가되야 한다. 본 논문에서는 함상구조재로 사용된 주조 알루미늄합금인 A356 의 피로강도를 14 S-N 법으로 평가하고, 구조물의 작용응력은 함상진동규격에 준하는 주파수응답해석을 통해 분석되었다. 최대등가응력의 주파수는 최대실험주파수에서 나타났으며, 함상장비의 진동피로수명은 누적손상법에 의해 평가되었다.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the nature and progressional change in consciousness of KMU students about the shipboard-life which appeared through regimental dormitory life. An empirical study was carried out to examine the perceptual differences not only on seafaring as a job but also on preliminary shipboard-life among each grades. The data analyzing perceptual differences on seafaring and preli inary shipboard-life of KMU students were collected from 450 students selected from 3 different kinds of populations -(1) senior students, (2) sophomore students, (3) freshmen-by the use of questionnaire method. The pearson's test for goodness of fit and factor analysis were used to analyze the data.

Shipboard Test of Ballast Water Treatment System by Ozonation

  • This study is currently giving priority to developing the ballast water treatment system using ozone(Ozone BWTS). The Ozone BWTS, were equipped on the real merchant vessel named as M. V. Hyundai Hong Kong to carried out shipboard tests of ballast water treatment system in accordance with orders of IMO G8 Guidelines. The study results show that the Ozone BWTS is capable of meeting the Ballast Water Performance Standard under Regulation D-.2 of the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast Water and Sediments, and also the more stringent standards being proposed under US legislation.

  • Non-contact underwater explosions against surface ships could cause extensive equipment damage and render the ship inoperative. As an analytical method, DDAM(dynamic design and analysis method) is used for ship shock design. In this paper, in order to verify the finite element model of large shipboard equipment, modal test of equipment was performed. Major objective of this paper is to describe shock analysis methodology for large shipboard equipment attacked to the top and bottom foundations.

  • 선박평형수를 통한 수중생물의 이동을 막기 위해, IMO에서는 2004년 2월 선박 평형수와 침전물 관리 국제협약을 제정하였다. 이 협약을 위해, 각국은 협약 비준과 법제화를 준비하고 협약의 성능기준을 만족시킬 수 있는 처리장치 개발을 촉진시키고 있다. Electro-$Cleen^{TM}$ 처리장치는 2006년 3월 IMO 기본승인을 받았고, 2008년 10월 최종승인을 받았다. 형식승인은 한국 정부로부터 2008년 12월에 발급되었다. 본 논문은 Electro-$Cleen^{TM}$ 처리장치의 기본 원리, 구성 요소, 실선 설치 및 선상 시험 내용을 검토하였다. 선상 시험은 8300 GT M/V Yokohama와 27,000 DWT M/V Greenwing으로 수행하였다. 이들 선상 시험을 통해 Electro-$Cleen^{TM}$ 처리장치가 IMO 기준을 만족시키며 신조선 및 현존선에 설치하기가 적합함을 확인하였다.

HILS를 이용한 함정의 관성항법장치 전달정렬 환경 모의 기법 (A Simulation Technique of the Shipboard INS Transfer Alignment Environments using Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation)

  • A simulation technique, which simulate dynamic motion and communication environments of ship in the lab, is needed in order to reduce the testing cost when we evaluate the transfer alignment performance of shipboard INS. Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation(HILS) can be used as an effective test method for those system because it can provide flexible and realistic simulation environments, various test scenario, and repeated test environment in the lab without additional cost and person. This paper presents the methods for implementing the real time HILS environment for testing transfer alignment performance of shipboard INS. It includes real time executive for controlling realtime simulation and calculating the ship motion, communication method for interfacing between the systems, and coordinate transformation method for converting real ship coordinate attitude data to lab coordinate attitude data.
