SEA를 이용한 선박소음해석 시스템 개발(I) (The Development of Shipboard Noise Analysis System using Statistical Energy Analysis(I))

  • 본 논문은 통계적에너지 해석법(SEA)을 이용하여 선박소음해석 프로그램을 개발하는 과정중에 얻어진 연구결과를 소개하였다. 주요 내용은 SEA를 이용한 실선 소음해석 프로그램 NASS의 해석 모듈 개발과 검증, 그리고 선체구조 및 격실에 대한 모델링 기법이 제시되었다. 또한 NASS를 이용하여 실선에 대한 공기음 및 고체음 예측을 수행하였으며 이를 실선 계측값과 비교검토하였다. 비교 결과로부터 모델링 기법 및 방사효율 산정의 문제점을 발견할 수 있었으나, 상부갑판에서는 오차가 5 dB 이내였으며 특히 종래의 경험적인 방법으로서는 불가능했던 밴드별 경향의 일치등 긍정적 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

선체진동을 이용한 함정의 수중방사소음 예측 (Estimation of the Underwater Radiated Noise of a Naval Vessel Using Hull Vibration)

  • Underwater radiated noise is one of the important performances related to stealth of the naval vessel. However, the evaluation can't be performed frequently due to the cost. Therefore, the estimation method of the underwater radiated noise with average hull vibration is suggested in this paper assuming that the hull of the ship is infinite plate which consists of various unit plates. Through the experiment, the estimated noise is verified from the comparison to the measured data. In addition the difference of underwater radiated noise according to the operating equipments is estimated with measured vibration velocity.

선박의 장비 공기소음이 수중소음에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Airborne Noise from Ship Machinery on Underwater Noise)

  • In research vessels or naval ships, airborne noise from machineries such as diesel engine is the major source of underwater noise at low speed. In this paper, effect of engine noise on underwater noise is studied by considering two paths; sound radiation from hull plate and direct airborne noise transmission through hull plate. SEA (Statistical energy analysis) is used to predict hull plate vibration induced by engine noise, where SEA model consists of only two subsystems; engine room air space and hull plate. The pressure level in water is calculated from sound radiation by plate. Engine noise transmission through hull plate is obtained by assuming plane wave propagation in air-limp plate-water system. Two effects are combined and compared to the measurement, where speaker is used as a source in engine room and sound pressure levels in engine room and water are measured. The hydrophone is located 1 m away from the hull plate. It is found below 1000 Hz, prediction overestimates underwater sound pressure level by 5 to 12 dB.

  • Globally, customer appreciation and demand for quieter products has driven noise control engineers to develop efficient and quieter products in a relatively short time. In the vehicles and ship industry, noise has become an important attribute because of the competitive market and increasing customer awareness. Noise reduction is often achieved through structural modifications by typical approaches. In the present paper, author describes a fundamental study on optimum design of curvature. Bezier curve. and rib attachment to reduce noise from simple panel using a genetic algorithm(GA). The acoustic optimization procedure employed p-FEM for structural analysis, the Rayleigh integral method for acoustic analysis and the GA for searching optimum design. In the optimization procedure. the objective function to be minimized is the average sound power radiated from an objective structure over a given frequency range $0{\sim}300$ Hz.

고부가가치선의 Unit Cabin Mock-up을 이용한 캐빈소음 저감 연구 (Cabin Noise Reduction Using Unit Cabin Mock-up of High Value-added Vessel)

  • Unit cabin means room, which is installed in the high value-added vessel such as drill ship, offshore platform and FPSO, after pre-assembled. In order to develop the noise control design for a unit cabin, a variety of acoustic tests such as sound absorption, transmission and radiation measurements were carried out by using the deckhouse mock-up. From the tests, it was found out that the sound transmission loss between cabin and corridor was 13 dB below than FPSO standard and the combined noise level of the unit cabin was dominated by the radiated noise from wall panel in low frequency range. Based on the test results, design guidelines for the noise control of the unit cabin were fully established, such as the improvement of sound transmission loss between the cabin and corridor, and radiated cabin noise reduction.

음선 역전파 기반의 선박 위치 추정 (Ray backpropagation-based ship localization)

  • 본 논문은 선박소음 데이터에 음선 역전파 기법을 적용하여 수동 선박 위치 추정 알고리듬을 제시한다. 기존의 방법 [S. H. Abadi, D. Rouseff and D. R. Dowling, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 131, 2599-2610 (2012)]은 음선 기반 블라인드 디컨벌루션 및 음선 역전파 기법을 활용하여 배열의 기울기가 없는 근거리 환경에서 음원의 위치를 추정하였다. 하지만 위 방법은 배열의 기울기에 따른 위치 추정 오차가 크게 발생한다는 단점이 존재한다. 이를 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 음선 기반 블라인드 디컨벌루션 및 음선 역전파 기법을 사용하되, 배열의 기울기를 보정하여 음원의 위치를 추정할 수 있는 알고리듬을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리듬의 성능은 SAVEX15(Shallow-water Acoustic Variability EXperiment in 2015)해상 실험의 선박소음 데이터를 이용하여 검증하였다.

유한요소/경계요소 연성해석을 통한 수중 구조기인소음 해석 (Underwater Structure-Borne Noise Analysis Using Finite Element/Boundary Element Coupled Approach)

  • 함정의 수중방사소음은 그 해석의 어려움이나 정확성에 있어서 매우 관심이 큰 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 구조물의 수중방사소음을 해석하기 위하여 유한요소/경계요소 연성해석법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 헤름홀츠방정식에 대한 Burton-Miller 적분방정식에 기반하는 부가수 질량과 감쇠행렬을 이용하여 구조물의 구조-유체 연성응답을 해석하고 계산된 구조물의 응답으로부터 수중방사소음을 계산하는 순차적인 방법이다. 구조-유체연성작용의 구조해석은 상용소프트웨어인 MSC/NASTRAN 에 구조-유체연성효과 행렬을 추가하여 해석하는 방법으로 이루어졌고, 수중방사소음의 경우는 전용 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 개발된 수중방사소음 해석법을 간단한 예제를 통하여 그 특성을 살피고, 실제 함정의 받침대 진동에 의한 수중방사소음의 계산에 적용하여 그 유용성을 보였다.

수상함 MOSCOS와 ES 방향탐지 안테나간의 전자기 간섭 개선을 위한 최적배치 연구 (A Study on Optimal Deployment for Improvement of EMI between MOSCOS and ES DF Antenna on a Surface Ship)

  • During the sea trial, we discovered EMI between MOSCOS and ES DF antenna. CW emitted by MOSCOS raised the threshold level of ES DF antenna. As a result, direction finding rate of ES has been decreased. This is a study for the improvement of EMI between the antennas mounted on a surface ship. An analysis is accomplished for MOSCOS, ES DF antenna and Jamming transmitter. This paper presents the method how to solve EMI based on the measurements and calculations about the ES DF antenna receiving level, MOSCOS radiation pattern and Jamming transmitter thermal noise. The test was performed with optimal deployment of MOSCOS on a surface ship. After changing the position of MOSCOS, EMI has been decreased significantly.

수중반사파 환경에서의 근접음장 홀로그래피 적용에 대한 오차 고찰 (Error Investigation in use of Near-field Acoustic Holography in the Underwater Environment of Reflected Wave)

  • Nowadays, it is required for naval ships to estimate 3D underwater radiated noise pattern in all direction at peak frequencies of hull vibration for the reduction of being detected and doing the effective operation. For this purpose, the numerical method has to be developed to calculate 3D underwater radiated noise pattern with experimental data. It is very difficult to obtain the experimental data for the real ship. Alternative to get the experimental results is to use NAH(near-field acoustic holography) in acoustic tank with experimental model. Application of NAH in acoustic tank for the experimental model needs some investigation of reflection wave from the wall of the acoustic tank and unmeasured zone of the experimental model due to the supporting structure for it. In this study, the effect of reflection wave in the acoustic tank and unmeasured area of the experimental model when using the NAH was investigated with experiment and numerical model. From these, it is known for the error due to reflection wave can be reduced when the distance between the measurement plane and source is being shorten. Also, unmeasured area of the experimental model gives rise to some error in the estimation of the far-field acoustic pressure.

대칭형 보에 의해 보강된 등방성 평판의 음향방사에 관한 연구 (A Study on Sound Radiation from Isofropic Plates Stiffened by Symmetrical Reinforced Beams)

  • The detemination of sound pressure radiated from peoriodic plate structures is fundamental in the estimation of noise levels in aircraft fuselages and ship hull structures. As a robust approach to this problem, here a very general and comprehensive analytical model for predicting the sound radiated by a vibrating plate stiffened by periodically spaced orthogonal symmetric beams subjected to a sinusoidally time varying point load is developed. The plate is assumed to be infinite in extent, and the beams are considered to exert both line force and moment reactions on it. Structural damping is included in both plate and beam materials. A space harmonic series representation of the spatial variables is used in conjunction with the Fourier transform to find the sound pressure in terms of harmonic coefficients. From this theoretical model. the sound pressure levels on axis in a semi-infinite fluid (water) bounded by the plate with the variation in the locations of an external time harmonic point force on the plate can be calculated efficiently using three numerical tools such as the Gauss-Jordan method, the LU decomposition method and the IMSL numerical package.
