컨테이너 터미널의 효율적 운영을 위한 의사결정지원시스템 (A Decision Support System for the Efficient Operation of Container Port Terminals)

  • A decision support system is introduced for the efficient operation of port container terminals. It consists of ship planning subsystem, yard planning subsystem, resource management subsystem, real-time control subsystem, and simulation subsystem. The system is intended to support the planning process of the planners and the operation process of the administrators in the container terminals. It is assumed that the transfer cranes and the yard tractor/trailers are used to handle containers in the marshaling yard. The system is explained in terms of the functions of each subsystem and the data flows among various subsystems.

  • 전체 수 출입 공급망 사슬관리에 있어서 항만의 운영 효율성은 아주 중요하다. 컨테이너 터미널에서는 안벽작업의 효율성을 극대화하기 위하여 더블 사이클과 듀얼 사이클 방법이 소개되었고, 야드 트랙터 할당의 효율성을 높이기 위해서 야드 트랙터(YT) 풀링 방법이 제시되었다. 모형은 시뮬레이션 분석 소프트웨어인 Arena를 이용하여 수립되었다.

  • 국내 컨테이너 터미널의 대부분 컨테이너 처리량에 비해 장치장 규모가 협소한 편이다. 장치장이 협소한 이유는 터미널 개발 시 적용된 이론적인 안벽 처리능력이 실제 처리능력과 차이가 나기 때문이다. 또한 최근 선박이 대형화 되면서 터미널들이 안벽장비를 추가 투입함으로써 안벽 생산성을 당초보다 크게 향상시킨 현실에 기인하기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 터미널 운영 현실을 반영하여 하역 능력을 재산정하고 10,000TEU에 이르는 초대형 선박을 대상으로 하여 소요 장치장 규모를 산정 한 후 기존 터미널의 장치장 규모와 경제성을 비교하는 것을 주목적으로 한다.

조선 기본계획을 위한 S-커브 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of S-curve for Basic Plan in a Shipbuilding Yard)

  • In this paper, we develop computerized procedures of the S-Curve, the cumulative progress rates of load input, applied to shipbuilding basic plan. For a real world ship yard, we study the application related problems and develop more efficient procedures of applying the curves in terms of usability and computerization. The yard currently do not have any mathematical expression for the S-Curve. They express the curves using data tables which represents data points of the manually drafted S-Curve graphs, which causes the difficulties in efficient computerization. Another problem the yard has is the lack of the feedback procedure of the actual load different from the initial plan. Due to those problems, the application procedures of the S-Curve require much time and endeavor amounting two full time employees. To resolve the problems, we develop the mathematical expression of the S-Curve using beta distribution function and the feedback procedure regenerating the planned load reflecting the difference between the initial plan and its realization. To build user friendly program, the graphic user interface is also developed using OSF/MOTIF toolkits. Through the development, we reduce the burden required in applying the curves to a part-time job of one employee.

Development of the Abstract Test Cases of Ship STEP

  • Ship STEP(Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Data) which is composed of AP 215 (Ship Arrangement), AP 216(Ship Hull Form), AP 218 (Ship Structure), has been developed more than last 10 years and it is now at the stage just before IS(International Standard). It is expected that ship STEP would be used for the seamless data exchange among various CAD/CAM/CAE systems of shipbuilding process. In this paper the huge and complicated data structure of ship STEP is briefly reviewed at the level of ARM(Application Reference Model) and some abstract test cases which will be included as part of the standards are introduced. Basically ship STEP has common data model to be used without losing compatibility among those three different ship AP's, and it is defined as the modeling framework. Typical cases of data exchange during shipbuilding process, such as hull form data exchange between design office and model basin, midship structure data between shipbuilding yard and classification society are reviewed and STEP physical data are generated using commercial geometric modeling kernel. Test cases of ship arrangement at initial design stage and hydrodynamic data of crude oil carrier are also included.

초기 선박 설계시 반체 제도 및 방오 도료에 기인된 속력 구실 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Speed Loss Estimation Due to Hull Roughness And A/F Paint in Preliminary Ship Design)

  • Hull roughness due to corrosions of outer hull and had applications on outer hull paints was analyzed theoretically. It's value which was gainable practically, was studied, and estimated power penalty formular correspon-ding to that value were reviewed. Local roughness penalty and roughness texture penalty that paint manahers in ship yard can easily were compared and studied by dotting actual ships in the issued curves. Losses and benifits of hull roughness & the specification choise of A/F paint which managers of ship maintenance were much interested in have been calculated through actual ships. The paper is illustrating that how much the specification choise and managing of A/F paint have effects on fuel consumption of ship in program. It is urgently required that recent developed antifouling paints of new A/F generation should be adopted to new ship building by big shipping companies in view of the environmental protection and the economical maintenance of ships.

휴리스틱 회귀모델을 이용한 특정항만 조건하에서의 선형별 적정 항차배분에 관한 연구 - 포항제철(주) 전용항만 사례를 중심으로- (A Heuristic Model for Appropriation of Voyage Allocation under Specific Port Condition Using Regression Analyses - With a Case Analysis on POSCO-owned Port -)

  • 본 논문은 포항제철이 제품생산에 필요한 석탄 및 철광석 등 원료를 해외로부터 수입하기 위한 전용부두를 조성하여 사용하는 과정에서 발생되는 총물류비용, 즉 해상수송비용, 항만 선석 대기비용, 그리고 원료를 야드에 적재보관 하는 데 따른 재고비용 등의 발생이 서로 상충됨에 따라 각 비용발생 행태를 함수식으로 추정하여 그 비용의 합이 최소화 될 수 있는 적정 선형별 연간 배정 항차수 의사결정을 휴리스틱적 접근법으로 시도한 내용을 보여준다. 예를 들면, 해상 수송비용은 단위당 운송비를 낮추기 위해 선형을 대형화시키려는 유인이 있게 된다. 하지만 이러한 결정은 항만내 선석 제약으로 인해 대기비용이 지수적으로 급격히 증가하게 되어 이에 대한 절충점을 찾아야 만 총 물류비용을 최소화 시킬 수 있게 된다. 선형별 연간 배정 항차수를 독립변수로 하고 발생 비용들을 종속변수로 하여 휴리스틱적 회귀분석을 시도한 결과 15만톤급 선형, 10만톤급 선형, 5만톤급 선형의 연간 항차배정 비율이 $1.78(X_1)$ : $4.25(X_2)$ : $1(X_3)$ 로 될 때 총물류비용 최소화 목표를 달성할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이를 백분비로 보면, 대형선 비중을 약 25%, 중형선 비중을 약 61%, 그리고 소형선 비중을 약 14% 정도로 연간항차배정을 하는 것이 적정한 것으로 판단된다. 그밖에 만약 물동량의 증가로 항만확장이 불가피한 경우 추가항만 건설투자비와 그로 인한 해상수송비 절감 및 선석 대기비용 절감 등을 현재가치화 한 값과 비교하여 전자가 큰 경우는 투자안을 기각하고 후자가 큰 경우는 투자안을 수용하는 항만투자 의사결정이 필요함을 보여주었다.

동북아 역내의 지속가능한 선박해체에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Ship Recycling in Northeast Asia for Sustainable Future)

  • The ship recycling or scrap is a phenomenon in the process of vessels life cycle has ended in the shipping industry. Scrap are greatly affected by freight rates due to ship demands. Not only that, environmental regulation and economic scale vessel demand are processes that must exist in the shipping industry as they obtain management for existing vessels. In the past, shipbreaking yard had tried to work without protection for poverty, without poor working conditions and facilities to prevent the emission of harmful substances. However, the issue of environmental pollution has been raised the Basel and Hong Kong Convention have been adopted, and a new replacement of the ship scrap that induces serious pollution is required. In this study, 165 countries were analyzed to confirm the importance of determining the ship solution. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the Environmental Performance Index, which is a measure of environmental regulation, is the most influential factor of ship scrapped volume. The determinant of whether lower labor cost can be secured is more correlated with population than GDP per capita. The implications of the results of the regression analysis mean that if environmental regulations for ship scrap of the future are strengthened, the status of Bangladesh and Pakistan, which currently account for half of the world's ship recycling, may change.

몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용한 시운전 선속-동력 성능에 대한 불확실성 해석 (Uncertainty Analysis for Speed and Power Performance in Sea Trial using Monte Carlo Simulation)

  • The speed and power performance of a ship is not only a guarantee issue between the ship owner and the ship-yard, but also is related with the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) regulation. Recently, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the procedure of the measurement and assessment for ship speed and power at sea trial. The results of speed and power performance measured in actual sea condition must inevitably include various uncertainty factors. In this study, the influence for systematic error of shaft power measurement system was examined using the Monte Carlo simulation. It is found that the expanded uncertainty of speed and power performance is approximately ${\pm}1.2%$ at the 95% confidence level(k=2) and most of the uncertainty factor is attributed to shaft torque measurement system.
