부산항과 감천항 방파제 인접 항로에서 선체에 작용하는 횡압류 현상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Drift Phenomenon of a Ship on the Waterway near the Breakwater of Busan and Gamcheon Port)

  • 항만을 출입항하는 선박의 통항 안전을 확보하기 위해서는 방파제와 같은 항만 시설물의 설계 또는 배치시에는 우선적으로 선박의 조종 성능을 감안하여 교통 흐름이 원활하도록 적정한 항로를 지정하여야 한다. 이 연구에서는 부산항 및 감천항 입항을 위해 방파제 인접 항로에서 일정 침로로 접근하는 컨테이너 선박이 외력인 바람, 조류, 파랑에 의해 선체에 발생하는 횡압류 및 회두 현상을 정량적으로 분석하여, 선속에 따라 외력을 상쇄하기 위해 취해야 할 대응타각을 산출한다. 또한 향후 방파제 설계 및 배치시 고려해야 될 외력하의 선박의 조종 성능요소를 제안함과 동시에 방파제의 설계와 항로 배치와의 관계에 대하여 고찰한다.

  • In the ship design process, ship motion and propulsion performance in sea waves became very important issues. Especially, prediction of ship propulsion performance during real operation is an important challenge to ship owners for economic operation in terms of fuel consumption and route-time evaluation. Therefore, it should be considered in the early design stages of the ship. It is thought that the averaged value and fluctuation of effective inflow velocity to the propeller have a great effect on the propulsion performance in waves. However, even for the nominal velocity distribution, very few results have been presented due to some technical difficulties in experiments. In this study, flow measurements near the propeller plane using a stereo PIV system were performed. Phase-averaged flow fields on the propeller plane of a KVLCC2 model ship in waves were measured in the towing tank by using the stereo PIV system and a phase synchronizer with heave motion. The experiment was carried out at fully loaded condition with making surge, heave and pitch motions free at a forward speed corresponding to Fr=0.142 (Re=2.55×106) in various head waves and calm water condition. The phase averaged nominal velocity fields obtained from the measurements are discussed with respect to effects of wave orbital velocity and ship motion. The low velocity region is affected by pressure gradient and ship motion.

Az/El 마운트에 의한 선박용 DBS 수신추적안테나 장치에 관한 연구 (A Study on the DBS Receive Tracking Antenna Apparatus on a Ship by the Az/El Mount)

  • 직접위성방송(DBS)은 해상에까지 광범위한 방송서비스를 제공할 수 있는 매우 유용한 매체이다. 그러나 해상에서의 DBS 수신장치는 선박의 운항이나 동요의 상태에 관계없이 안테나가 위성을 계속 추적해야 하는 복잡한 제어장치를 필요로 한다. 본 연구는 한반도 연 근해를 항해하는 선박에서 Koreasat의 DBS를 수신할 수 있는 장치의 개발이 목표였으며, 특히 소형선박에 쉽게 탑재하고 사용할 수 있도록 다른 항법장비와 연계됨이 없이 장치의 독립적인 운용형태로 설계하였고 소형, 경량, 저가격화에 중점을 두었다. 그러므로 한반도 연·근해에서 koreasat의 탐색과 추적조건을 분석하고 이에 적합한 Az/El 2축 마운트를 설계하여 제작하였으며, 스텝트랙(step track) 방식에 의한 추적과 각속도 센서를 이용한 마운트의 동요보정 기능을 연구하였다. 실험을 위하여 장치를 탑재할 수 있는 선박운동 시뮬레이터를 제작하여 목표치의 동요를 구현하고, 추적과 동요보정에 따른 수신상태를 측정, 분석하면서 실험적으로 최적의 알고리즘을 구현하였다.

  • 최근 세계적인 조선 시장의 침체기에도 불구하고, 선박 시스템 원천기술 확보의 중요성이 지속적으로 부각되어 오면서, 세계적으로 선박 시스템 원천기술 확보를 위한 다양한 노력들이 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 선박추진제어 시스템의 국산화를 통해 해당 분야의 원천기술을 확보하고자 추진제어시스템의 원격운용장치의 구현에 대하여 연구하도록 한다.

An assessment of the effect of hull girder vibration on the statistical characteristics of wave loads

  • For the assessment of statistical characteristics of wave loads in the real sea state, the probability distribution of wave loads are computed based on the sufficient duration of computations in irregular waves. First of all, the estimation of wave impact loads is well modified applying the displacement potential formulation, which was proposed by one of authors, for solving Wagner's flow model. Consequently, the present computation method is also modified. Prior to the computation in irregular waves, preliminary computation to determine the adequate number of realization of irregular waves is examined. The effect of hull girder vibration on the statistical characteristics is examined by means of the computation with/without hull girder vibration. It is found that hull girder vibration has a certain effect on the probability of occurrence of wave loads. Furthermore, computations taking account of the effect of operation, that is the effects of ship speed and course change, is conducted for the rational evaluation of the effects of hull girder vibration. It is clarified that the effect of operation on the statistical characteristics of wave loads is significant. It is verified that the evaluation without the effect of operation may overestimate the effect of hull girder vibration.

A Feasibility Review for an Uneven Baseline Basis Minimal Ballast Ship

  • Although there are many kinds of advanced ballast water management systems, pioneering studies for ballast-water free ship and minimal ballast water ship concepts are in progress. In this study, the existing alternatives of ballast water are reviewed and a new design concept is studied on the basis of the existing bulk carrier hull form. To develop a new design alternative which has minimal ballast for ballast water discharge free operation, the new concept should have technical feasibilities that are related to the role of the ballast water, berth access, loading constraints, etc. For this purpose, a simplified systems engineering basis design approach is adopted using a business model as the system analysis and control tool. To check the performance feasibility of the new concept, ship resistance performance is reviewed based on a model scale ship resistance performance analysis.

  • A PC-based system for both monitoring and controlling SAUV is developed. The developed system is located on a ship and communicate with the SAUV through optical link through which the system sends motion command and receives video data, SSBL and Digital I/O data. The motion command includes velocity data and direction data. The overall system is developed with the intention of easy operation for operator and safe motion of SAUV. The easy operation is realized by GUI-based interface and the safe motion is realized by fault tolerant capability.
