선박 거주구 설계 일정관리 시스템 (A Scheduling and Control System for a Ship Accommodation Design Process)

  • 선박 거주구 설계를 예로하여 선박설계에 있어서 업무 부하가 평준화된 최적의 설계일정계획을 도출할 수 있는 일정계획시스템을 수립하여 보았다. 설계일정관리에 영향을 주는 여러 요소들을 찾아 분석하여 최적의 설계일정을 도출할 수 있는 알고리즘을 설계하였다. 계획된 선박의 각 도면작성에 소요되는 시수를 신속하게 추정하기 위하여, 표준선박에 대한 기본 시수를 미리 설정하여 놓고 해당 선박에 대한 난이도를 적절히 적용하는 방법을 사용했다. 여러 도면작업의 진행상의 선후관계를 matrix table로 표현하여 일정표 작성의 전산화를 단순화 하였다. 이 시스템을 전산화 함으로써 계획된 선박에 대하여 그 선박의 특성이 충분히 반영 되어 작업이 평준화된 설계일정계획을 짧은 시간에 얻을 수 있었다.

선박 자율 운항을 위한 선박운동제어에 관한 연구 (A study on ship motion control system design for autonomous ship)

  • In this study, a ship motion control system design method is introduced for autonomous ships. Some related research results and technologies for autonomous ships have already been developed and applied to ships. For example, the Norwegian Maritime Authority and the Coastal Administration have signed an agreement that allows to test of autonomous ships in the defined area (port to port). Many countries and industries are pursuing to realize the autonomous vessel in the real world. In this paper, the authors try to develop related technology. As basic research, a ship model of the pilot vessel is developed and physical parameters are identified by experiment and simulations. Using the mathematical ship model, a control system is designed and control performance is evaluated by simulations.

LPG 선박의 선수 Bulb 형상 비교 Study (A Comparison Study of the Bulbous Bow Shape for LPG Carrier)

  • An attempt to improve the speed performance through the minimizing in wave resistance has been done by an application of gooseneck and no bulb type to bulbous bow for the DSME 78,500 Class LPG Carrier on the basis of the CFD calculation and comparatives model tests. The hydrodynamic characteristics according to the variation of the shape of Cp-curve, design load water line, frame line and bulbous bow that have an important effect on the wave resistance has been evaluated/calculated by ship-flow code. A wide variety in hull variation have been tried to have a good hull form with three types of fore-body hull forms mainly classified by the shape of bulbous bow. The speed performances for the three final hull forms with different bulbous bows have been evaluated through the model tests.

  • Recently, the usage of containers in marine transportation is rapidly increasing. The problem of ship stability is important because of its direct influence to the loss of the human-life, ship, and merchandise. However, the assessment for ship stability during container loading/unloading in port is dependent on human experience only. On the other hand, the emerging information and communication technologies of shipbuilding industrial environments are rapidly changing. To respond to the situation, a new paradigm has been matured with new concepts such as the concrete method. Especially, all the efforts are shown to be concentrated to realize the concept of Simulation Based Design(SBD) based on three dimensional Computer Aided Design(CAD) model. In this paper, ship model-based simulation methodology for design and operation of ship is suggested, and for the verification of suggested methodology, the system for stability assessment of ship during container loading/unloading was developed using ENVISION, a general-purpose simulation system. The developed system consists of geometric modeling subsystem, basic calculation subsystem, and Computer Aided Engineering(CAE) subsystem. In addition, interface to CAE/CAD /simulation system such as SIKOB and ENVISION is provided.

Research on theoretical optimization and experimental verification of minimum resistance hull form based on Rankine source method

  • To obtain low resistance and high efficiency energy-saving ship, minimum total resistance hull form design method is studied based on potential flow theory of wave-making resistance and considering the effects of tail viscous separation. With the sum of wave resistance and viscous resistance as objective functions and the parameters of B-Spline function as design variables, mathematical models are built using Nonlinear Programming Method (NLP) ensuring the basic limit of displacement and considering rear viscous separation. We develop ship lines optimization procedures with intellectual property rights. Series60 is used as parent ship in optimization design to obtain improved ship (Series60-1) theoretically. Then drag tests for the improved ship (Series60-1) is made to get the actual minimum total resistance hull form.

  • In this paper, a prototype of ship basic planning system is implemented for the small and medium sized shipyards based on the internet technology and concurrent engineering concept. The system is designed from the user requirements. Consequently, standardized development environment and tools are selected. These tools are used for the system development to define and evaluate core application technologies. The system will contribute to increasing competitiveness of small and medium sized shipyards in the 21st century industrial en-vironment.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 최초로 개발되는 LNG벙커링 바지시스템 개발에 관하여 소개한다. 벙커링바지는 500cbm의 용량을 가지며, LNG추진 ready 개념으로 개발된다. 핵심기술로는 벙커링바지의 설계, 설계된 바지의 안정성 평가 및 Ship-To-Ship 안정성평가 기술, 고망간강 Type-C 저장탱크 설계 및 제작 기술, 적하역을 고려한 공정시스템 설계 및 실증, 열량유량시스템 설계 및 실증, 가스공급시스템 설계 및 실증, 각종 유틸리티의 설계 및 실증 기술, 적하역 절차서 등이 개발된다. 설계부터 건조까지 전 과정을 국내 기술을 적용하여 개발하며, 국내에서 개발된 선급인증된 기자재가 최대한 적용되도록 한다. 국내 기업들이 LNG 구조물에 관한 track-record를 확보하여 향후, 산업화에 기여할 수 있도록 한다.

FE Model Based Parametric Study Support System

  • In preliminary ship design, a parametric study is a more realistic way to explore design space and analyze design problem than an optimization technique due to time-consuming computational work or a difficulty in incorporating all constraints into the optimization formulation. In the parametric study, feasible alternatives are examined in various aspects; the best one can be selected. Among the aspects, the strength assessment by FE analysis is an essential process in the ship design. This paper proposes a system to facilitate a parametric study for FE model based on design of experiment (DOE). It works on a FE pre-processor environment and assists a user to define a parametric study by interacting with FE model. It also provides an interface module with a FE solver in order to control the input file and extract predefined FE results from the output file. Based on the proposed system, a better understating and a better design are expected to be achieved.

한반도 해양환경에 따른 적외선 신호 민감도 해석연구 (A Study on the Sensitivity of IR Signature of a Ship according to the Meteorological Environment of Korean Seas)

  • Until now, the stealth design to reduce the infrared signature of ship haven't been carried out using the proper design criteria. The study on the maritime meteorological environment in the Korean seas hasn't been accomplished yet, so the design criteria of the maritime meteorological environment was just given by the engineering sense without experience of the Navy and/or of the shipyard. Even in rather good conditions(summer condition), the estimated IR signature of a ship showed larger values and couldn't predict the worst condition during the operation of a ship at sea. In this study, domestic maritime meteorological data were collected and variables affecting the IR signature of a ship had been derived through the sensitivity study of IR signature according to the maritime meteorological environment in Korean seas. The basic study on the criteria of the stealth design of IR signature has been carried out.

디지털트윈 선박 플랫폼 설계를 위한 연구 (Research on Basic Concept Design for Digital Twin Ship Platform)

  • 국제해사기구(IMO, International Maritime Organization)를 중심으로 자율운항선박 도입을 대비한 해사안전 및 보안관련 국제 협약을 제정하고 있다. 국내에서도 선급 및 산업체를 중심으로 자율운항시스템 기술개발에 착수하고 있으며 연안선박에서 발생하는 사고를 줄이기 위해 연안선박을 대상으로 하는 자율운항선박 기술적용 방안 연구가 진행되고 있다. 국내외적으로 자율운항선박에 대한 관심이 크게 증가하고 있으며 실제 개발된 기술의 검증을 위한 해상실증이 본격적으로 추진되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 연안선박에 적용하기 위한 디지털트윈 기술 관련 실증선박과 육상 플랫폼(원격지원센터)의 설계를 위한 기초연구를 진행하였다. 디지털트윈 기술을 선박에 적용하기 위해 8m 소형 배터리 전기추진선박을 대상으로 선정하였으며, 선박과 육상 플랫폼 간 통신을 통해 선박 항해 및 운전 데이터가 서버시스템에 저장되고 전기추진선박의 원격제어 명령이 가능한 디지털트윈 통합 플랫폼의 기본 설계를 진행하였다. 이러한 디지털트윈 기술을 적용한 선박 성능관리, 운항 및 운영 최적화, 예지제어 등이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, 위기상황에 대응이 가능한 안전하고 경제성 있는 디지털트윈 기술의 선박적용이 가능할 것이라 사료된다.
