  • In this paper, a new shift map was proposed to improve the fuel economy of a transmission mounted electric device(TMED) type dual clutch transmission(DCT) plug-in hybrid electric vehicle(PHEV) by considering transmission and motor losses. To construct the shift map, powertrain efficiencies of the engine-DCT-motor were obtained at each gear step. A shift map that provides the highest powertrain efficiency was constructed for the given wheel torque and vehicle speed. Simulation results showed that the fuel economy of the target PHEV can be improved by the new shift map compared with the existing engine optimal operating line(OOL) shift control.

  • Most vehicles having automatic transmission system use fixed standard shift map to provide automatic transmission for driver. In this case, driver who operates vehicle may be complaint with the fixed transmission pattern being different from the driver's intention. In this paper, therefore, to infer the driver's intention module for learning the driver's intention with related input variables using soft computing method is proposed. After inference, the standard shift map will be shifted according to a certain parameter decided from the proposed module for providing proper shift pattern. The efficiency of the proposed module is evaluated by the data acquired from real time driving.

Anti-Jamming Performance of Chaos Communications System Using DCSK and CDSK Modulation Method (DCSK와 CDSK 방식을 사용하는 카오스 통신 시스템의 항재밍 특성)

  • Digital communication technology have been focused on the higher data efficiency and the effective coding of information. Also, it is very important to improve security and minimize the interference of the external sources, Chaos communications system is studied to improve security and minimize the interference by effective encoding of information in the nonlinear systems such as DCSK(Differential Chaos Shift Keying) and CDSK(Correlation Delay Shift Keying). In this paper, we evaluate anti-jamming performance of chaos communications system using the DCSK and CDSK system. The simulation results show that the Gauss iterated map has better BER performance than the other maps(tent map, logistic map, Henon map). Also, DCSK and CDSK system can get the better anti-jamming performance by applying different chaotic maps.

  • Leukocyte in blood smear image provides significant information to doctors for diagnosis of patient health status. Therefore, it is necessary step to separate leukocyte from blood smear image among various blood cells for early disease prediction. In this paper, we present a saliency map and stepwise region merging based leukocyte segmentation method. Since leukocyte region has salient color and texture, we create a saliency map using these feature map. Saliency map is used for sub-image separation. Then, clustering is performed on each sub-image using mean-shift. After mean-shift is applied, stepwise region-merging is applied to particle clusters to obtain final leukocyte nucleus. The experimental results show that our system can indeed improve segmentation performance compared to previous researches with average accuracy rate of 71%.

  • An automatic transmission pattern with the fixed standard shift map can provide comfortable shift to driver. However it may be a complain to provide shift by the same shift pattern for driver because the inclination of a driver may be various. Therefore, in this paper, we design the decision module, which can decide the driving style using input to decide the inclination of the driver and driving manner. The goal of this paper is to calibrate the shift map according to the inclination of the driver using the decided driving manner from the proposed module. As a result, the proposed intelligent automatic transmission system can provide a suitable shift point and time to the driver. To verify the performance of the proposed system, the real data that is obtained from the road test will be used.

  • We have investigated the Intelligent Shift-map Module(ISM) to improve some problems in the conventional Automatic Transmission(AT) for automobiles. The typical AT lacks flexibility regarding the shift point because it does not consider the driver's habits and inclinations. Also it often is occurred phenomenon like kick-down. Therefore, we designed a decision module which considers the driving style of the individual driver. The driving style was determined by the inclination of the driver and the driving technique using actual automobile data. The Hierarchical Neural Network(HNN) was applied in generating an intelligent shift map with Multilayer Neural Network(MNN). It was found that the proposed ISM provided a suitable shift point and time because the necessary toque and velocity of the automobile was considered along with the driving style of each driver when designing the ISM.

  • In this paper, a video based ship detection method is proposed to monitor port efficiently. Visual saliency map algorithm and mean shift algorithm is applied to detect moving ships don't include background information which is difficult to track moving ships. It is easy to detect ships at the port using saliency map algorithm, because it is very effective to extract saliency object from background. To remove background information in the saliency region, image segmentation and clustering using mean shift algorithm is used. As results of detecting simulation with images of a camera installed at the harbor, it is shown that the proposed method is effective to detect ships.

We show that if a continuous surjective map f has some shadowing properties: the asymptotic average shadowing property, the average shadowing property, the two side limit shadowing property, then ${\sigma}_f$ also has the same properties.

Digital Chaotic Communication System Based on CDSK Modulation (CDSK 방식의 디지털 카오스 통신 시스템)

  • Recently, interest for wireless communication technology with improved security and low eavesdropping probability is increasing rapidly recognizing that information security is an important. Chaos signal can be used encode information efficiently due to irregular phenomena. Chaotic signal is very sensitive to the initial condition. Chaos signal is difficult to detect the signal if you do not know the initial conditions. Also, chaotic signal has robustness to multipath interference. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of correlation delay shift keying (CDSK) modulation with different chaotic map such as Tent map, Logistic map, Henon map, and Bernoulli shift map. Also, we analyze the BER performance depending on the selection of spreading factor (SF) in CDSK. Through the theoretical analyses and simulations, it is confirmed that Henon map has better BER performance than the other three chaotic maps when spreading factor is 70.

  • 본 논문은 중요도 맵과 Mean Shift 알고리즘을 이용하여 모바일 폰 영상 내의 와인 라벨 검출 방법을 제안한다. Mean Shift 알고리즘은 비모수적 클러스터링 기술로 클러스터의 수에 대한 사전 지식이 없이도 클러스터링이 가능한 알고리즘인데 실행 시간이 많이 필요한 단점이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 입력 칼라 와인 영상에 Saliency Map을 먼저 적용하고 영상의 두드러진 영역을 찾는다. 다음으로 Mean Shift 알고리즘을 이용한 분할 결과에서 얻은 칼라 마스크를 따라 빈도가 가장 높은 칼라 영역을 찾고 와인 라벨 영역을 검출한다. 실험결과를 통하여 제안된 방법을 모바일 폰을 이용하여 획득된 다양한 와인 영상의 라벨 영역을 효율적으로 검출할 수 있음을 볼 수 있다.
