의료용 침대를 위한 자동 시트 교환 장치 연구 (A Study on the Automatic Sheet Exchanger for a Hospital Bed)

  • 환자를 위해 시트를 교환하는 일은 궂은일에 속하며 간호환경을 힘들게 하는 요인 중에 하나이다. 환자를 위한 다양한 기능들을 갖는 많은 침대들이 이미 개발되어 있으나 시트를 자동으로 교환하는 장치는 아직 없다. 본 연구에서는 의료용 침대를 위한 시트 자동 교환 장치를 최초로 개발하고 시험하여 성능을 검증하였다. 개발된 시트 자동 교환 장치는 토크 리미터를 사용하여 장력을 적절히 조절하며 오염된 시트와 새로운 시트를 동시에 교환한다. 설계된 시트 자동 교환 장치는 기 개발된 욕창 예방, 환자 자동 이송 기능을 갖는 다기능 통합 침대에 장착되어 적절히 동작하는 것을 실험을 통해 확인하였다

  • The application as the parts of an automobile, using the property of GMT-Sheet, is increasing. In order to exchange the parts of an automobile for GMT-Sheet, at first, the establishment and joining problem of exact joining strength must be determined. We have studied it using composites which is not same each other fiber oriented condition so as to determine joining strength and joining condition of GMT-Sheet. In this study, the result of experiment of forming condition concerned joining problem of GMT-Sheet is this ; joining efficiency of GMT-Sheet, increases as lap joint length L increases. Increase of compression ration cause decrease of joining efficiency after of GMT-Sheet, joining. In the viewpoint of recycling, randomly oriented composite of GMT-Sheet is desirable more than unidirectional oriented composite. We have better design the structure so as not occur to stress centralization on the joining part.

Dimerization of Fibril-forming Segments of α-Synuclein

  • We have performed replica-exchange molecular dynamics (REMD) simulations on the dimer formation of fibrilforming segments of $\alpha$-Synuclein (residues 71 - 82) using implicit solvation models with two kinds of force fields- AMBER parm99SB and parm96. We observed spontaneous formation of dimers from the extensive simulations, demonstrating the self-aggregating and fibril forming properties of the peptides. Secondary structure profile and clustering analysis showed that dimers with antiparallel $\beta$-sheet conformations, stabilized by well-defined hydrogen boding, are major species corresponding to global free energy minimum. Parallel dimers with partial $\beta$-sheets are found to be off-pathway intermediates. The relative instability of the parallel arrangements is due to the repulsive interactions between bulky and polar side chains as well as weaker backbone hydrogen bonds.

Desalting of papermaking tobacco sheet extract using selective electrodialysis

  • The inorganic components in tobacco sheet extract have significant influence on the sensory taste of the cigars and the harmful component delivery in cigarette smoke. To identify the contributions of the divalent inorganic components on harmful components delivery in cigarette smoke, a self-made selective electrodialysis was assembled with monovalent ion-selective ion exchange membranes. The influences of current density and extract content on the desalination performance were investigated. Result indicates that the majorities chloride, nitrate, and sulfate ions were removed, comparing with 50-60% of potassium and only less than 10% of magnesium and calcium ions removed in the investigated current density. The permselectivity of the tested cations across the Selemion CSO cation exchange membranes follows the order: $K^+>Ca^{2+}>Mg^{2+}$. A current density of $15mA/cm^2$ is an optional choice by considering both the energy consumption and separation efficiency. When the extract contents are in the range of 7%-20%, the removal ratios the potassium ions are kept around 60%, while the removal ratios of the calcium and magnesium ions fluctuate in the range of 16-27% and 8-14%, respectively. The tobacco smoke experiments indicated that the divalent metal ions have dual roles for the harmful component delivery in cigarette smoke. The divalent potassium and calcium ions were unfavorable for the total particulate matter emission but beneficial to decrease the HCN delivery in the mainstream cigarette smoke. The selective electrodialysis is a robust technology to decrease the harmful component delivery in cigarette smoke.

Improving the smoking quality of papermaking tobacco sheet extract by using electrodialysis

  • Papermaking tobacco sheet is an important reclaimed process for cigarette making. Traditionally, the pressure driven membrane was often used to isolate the effective compounds from the tobacco sheet extract. However, this method is difficult to remove small ionic compounds. Besides, membrane fouling is a major problem for effective use of these pressure driven membrane technologies. In this study, the electrodialysis process is used to removal the chloride ions and nitrate ions, thus the smoking quality of papermaking tobacco sheet extract can get improved. Three types of electrolytes ($Na_2SO_4$, NaCl and HCl) are chosen to prevent the generation of precipitation. The results indicate that 0.1mol/L HCl at current density of $30mA/cm^2$ is the optimal condition for the electrodialysis process. The removal rates of the Cland $NO{_3}^-$ in tobacco sheet extract are 97% and 98.4%, respectively. The electrodialysis process cost was estimated to be 0.11$/L. Naturally, electrodialysis is not only technological feasible, environmental-friendly and economical-attractive for tobacco extract treatment.
