저가의 Ti 박막이 증착된 유리 기판을 사용한 TCO-less 염료감응형 태양전지의 응용 (Fabrication of TCO-less Dye-sensitized Solar Cells by Using Low Cost Ti Layer Deposited Glass Substrate)

  • In this study, a transparent conductive oxide (TCO)-less dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) was fabricated by using titanium (Ti) electrode to replace the Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) for the reduction of manufacturing cost. Ti film was formed by electron beam evaporation method and the results showed the sheet resistance of Ti electrodes with a thikness of 500 nm similar to FTO. In case of power conversion efficiency (PCE), a DSSC with Ti electrodes showed a lower value than that with FTO by 0.38%. For the investigation of the difference, the DSSCs were measured and analyzed by using electrochemical impedance analyzer (EIS).

Shear behavior of RC beams externally strengthened and anchored with CFRP composites

  • The primary objective of this paper is to study the effectiveness of anchorage on the performance of shear deficient beams externally strengthened with CFRP composites. The overall behavior of the tested beams loaded up to failure, the onset of the cracking, and crack development with increased load and ductility were described. The use of CFRP composites is an effective technique to enhance the shear capacity of RC beams by using CFRP strips anchored into the tension side and from the top by 15-34% based on the investigated variables. Bonded anchorage of CFRP strips with width of 0.1h-0.3h to the beam resulted in a decrease in average interface bond stress and an increase in the effective strain of the FRP sheet at failure, which resulted in a higher shear capacity as compared with that of the U-wrapped beams without anchorage as well as delay or mitigate the sheet debonding from the concrete surface.

  • In this study, welding distortion analysis is performed for various design of tube shape structures which are assembled with aluminum sheet metal. Aluminum 5052 plates of 1mm thickness are used to analyze. An efficient keyhole model, as a welding heat source, is used for the prediction of full penetration weld size and shape which is required for the thermal analysis. The thermal and mechanical material properties are considered as temperature dependent functions, due to the high temperature variations during the welding. The numerical model is calculated by using a commercial software and evaluated with the experiments. The calculation results could make a comparative study in the view of distortion for the various size and shape of structure.

  • Color Display Tube (CDT) used in computer monitors, consists of many components. Deflection Yoke(DY) among them supplies the vertical and horizontal magnetic fields so that the spatial trajectories of electron beams are deflected according to the synchronization signals. If the magnetic fields are not correctly formed, there will be color blurring or blooming by a mis-convergence of each beam and the color image on screen may not be clear. Therefore, in the manufacture of DY. its quality is strictly examined to get the desired convergence and the occurred mis-convergence can be cured by sticking ferrite sheets on the inner part of DY. However, because it needs expert's knowledge and experience to find the proper position of the sheet, this article introduces an intelligent controller that the knowledge-base represented by a neuro-fuzzy model is used to find the optimal position of the ferrite sheet for the convergence.

  • In this paper, the influence of Si surface damage on the NiSi formation has been characterized. The silicon surface is damaged using ion beam type spotter. Then, the effect of H2 anneal and TiN capping layer on the damaged has also been analyzed. The sheet resistance of NiSi formed on damaged Si increased rapidly as the damaging time increases while thermal stability of damaged NiSi was stabler than the undamaged one. In the case when H\ulcorner anneal and TiN capping layer were applied together, the characteristics of NiSi shows a little improvement of the sheet resistance.

  • 수평 평판과 충돌하는 제트에 의해 생성되는 연기유동을 관찰하기 위해 질소가스네 kerosene 연기입자를 띄워 유동장을 가시화하였다. 광원으로는 아르곤-이온 레이져 평면광이 사용되었다. Kerosene smoke의 산란 광에 의한 수직평면 상(image)과 수평평면 상을 고속 CCD 카메라와 비디오 카메라로 녹화하였으며, 얻어진 영상으로부터 연기선단의 순간속도 및 평균속도를 측정하였다.

  • Recently the laser sheet technique has been developed to improve our limited understanding of the in-cylinder diesel combustion. The technique is capable of high temporal and spatial resolution, so that it is proved to be an adequate combustion diagnostics to find out exhaust emission formation. The optical signals of LIS(Laser Induced Scattering) and LII(Laser Induced Incandescence) images show informations for soot concentration within the optically accessible diesel engine. The LIS and LII signal images of soot concentration provide new insight into where and when soot occurs in a diesel engine.

Co 및 Co/Ti 이중막에 의해 형성된 Co-실리사이드의 열적 불안정성 (Thermal instability of Co-silicides formed by Co and Co/Ti bilayer)

  • We have invetigated the characteristics of thermal instability of Co-silicides annealed at 850$^{\circ}$C ~ 1000$^{\circ}$C for 10~90 minutes in a furance with N$_{2}$ ambient. In our experiments, Co-silicides and Co/Ti bilayer silicides were formed by depositing (Co, Ti) films on the clean Si substrates in an E-beam evaporator and performing the RTA annelaing. The sheet resistances of Co-silicides formed form Co exhibited the nearly constant value under the post-annealing time above 900$^{\circ}$C showing the increase of 30% and 60% under the conditions annealed at 900$^{\circ}$C and 1000$^{\circ}$C for 30minutes. On the other hand, there were no remarkable changes in the sheet resistance sof Co-silicides formed form Co/Ti bilayer under the post-annealing conditons below 1000$^{\circ}$C.

  • Al-Mg films were prepared onto steel sheet according to deposition condition by eco-friendly electron beam vacuum evaporation method. The influence of Al-Mg films on corrosion resistance was evaluated by salt spray test and electrochemical method etc.. From the experimented results, it was found that the Al-Mg films which showed good corrosion resistance tend to have fine structure with homogenious composition distribution. In addition, it was shown that the property of coating films can be improve by controlling thickness ratio and uniform distribution of intermetallic compounds in Al-Mg films.

  • The final objectives of this study are to present the theoretical formula for reasonable structural analysis and practical codes on the repair/strengthening of damaged reinforced concrete structrues. For that purpose, in last year, preliminary experiments for flexure and shear of beam structure using carbon sheet and steel plate were performed, and in sequence, in this year, using aramid fiber sheet and steel plate more extensive experiment were performed. Repair for the performance of flexure and shear was focused on, and main variables were selected considering aplicablilty for practical field, such as, spacing of anchor bolt, lapping, jacking up, preloading level, and fiber difection as well as length of repairing plate and thickness. so new results from various angles are to be presented.
