Cr thin films were deposited on photosensitive polyimide substrates by RF bias sputtering and DC sputtering and the interfaces between Cr thin film and polyimide were observed using TEM. When the polyimide surface was in-situ RF plasma cleaned at the RF power density of 0.13-2.12 $W/cm^2$, increasing of RF power density changed the morphology of polyimide surfaces from round dig to sharp shape, and surface roughness increased by anisotropic etching. The intermixed layer-like interfaces between Cr and polyimide were observed in the RF bias sputtered specimens. This interface seems to be formed due to the RF cleaning effect; the polyimide surface was RF plasma cleaned while RF power was increased to the setting point before Cr deposition.
The purpose of this study is to give the guideline to the pattern designing by supplying various images of the transformed shape of tailored collar with the location and angle of gorge line and laying measurement of the tailored collar while designing the tailored collar. The results of this study are as follows : Images of the sample at the case of 1cm of laying measurement looks 'urban', 'light', 'sharp', 'young', 'fashionable' and 'narrow' than that at the case of 7cm. When the laying measurement increases, the image of the sample looks more 'classical' and 'boorish'. The image of the sample 'light', 'sensuous' and 'young' at the case of sample of which laying measurements of the collar was 3cm. Second, at the case of sample whose laying measurements of the collar was 5cm, it was shown that the low location of gorge line made the image of the sample 'soft' and 'short'. On the other hand the image of the sample looked 'hard', 'keen' and 'long' by the high location of gorge line. Third, at the case of sample of which laying measurements of the collar was 7cm, low location of gorge line made the image of the sample look short. However, normal location of gorge line made the image of the sample looked 'fashionable'. The images of the samples of which laying measurements of the collar were 3cm, 5cm and 7cm, respectively, had changed with the angle of gorge line. First, the high angle of gorge line made the image of the sample 'rigid' and 'keen' at the case of sample of which laying measurements of the collar was 3cm. The high angle of gorge line made the image of the sample looked 'boorish' and 'singular'.
This paper develops the methodology for the indexation of Sustainable Development Indicators(SDIs) in 4 sectors(social, environmental, economic, and institutional sectors), and provides the empirical results of Sustainable Development Index(SDI) for Korea from 1990 to 2001. Given 1995 as the basic year, the trend of SDI for Korea displays a slowly curving U-shape. The down trend of SDI until mid-90's results from the decline of SDI in economic and environmental sectors, and the uptrend of SDI after mid-90's results from the sharp rising of SDI in social and institutional sectors. The implication of the results is that Korea generally shows a positive trend toward the sustainable development. However, there should be a careful consideration about partly downward trend in individual SDIs, because of the different trend of SDI in each sector.

Dilaceration is a developmental disturbance in shape of teeth. It refers to an angulation, or a sharp bend or curve, in the root or crown of a formed tooth. Dilacerations are estimated to occur in 3% of all permanent dentitions. However, the etiology of dilaceration is not yet fully understood. Traumatic injury to the deciduous predecessors and ectopic development of the tooth germ are the two commonly cited causes of this anomaly. The involved tooth is usually the maxillary central incisor and it also shows high prevalence of impaction. At first, We tried to do surgical exposure with orthodontic traction but to no avail. After then surgical repositioning of the dilacerated tooth was performed. Finally, Satisfactory results were obtained at the end of treatment, with improvement in dental esthetics and functional aspects.
ZnO nanopowder was synthesized using a relatively facile and convenient glycol process. ZnO nanopowder was successfully synthesized at temperatures as low as $125^{\circ}C$ using zinc acetate as the Zn source and 1,4-butanediol as the solvent. Then, the effects of water content on the growth process and morphological evolution of ZnO powders were investigated using 1,4-butanediol and water as binary solvent mixtures. Using pure 1,4-butanediol at a temperature above $125^{\circ}C$, the prepared hexagonal ZnO nanopowder exhibited a quasi-spherical shape with average crystalline size of approximately 30 - 50 nm. It is also demonstrated that the morphology of ZnO powders can be controlled by the addition of various water content in 1,4-butanediol. With increasing water content, the morphologies of the ZnO powders changed sequentially from quasi-spherical to hexagonal plate and pyramid, and finally to hexagonal prismatic with a pyramidal tip. A sharp peak centered at 384 nm in the UV region and a weak broad peak in the visible region between 450 and 700 nm were shown in the room temperature PL spectra of the ZnO synthesized using the glycol process, regardless of the addition of water, suggesting that ZnO nanopowders with the best crystallinity were obtained under these conditions.

There are lots of industrial machines of which functions are achieved by operation of multi-phase fluids. Some of them take advantage of the characteristics of counter-current two-phase flow The maximum flow rates of gas and liquid phases which flow in opposite-directions (counter-current flow) are limited by a phenomenon known as a Counter-Current Flow Limitation (CCFL or Flooding) The mass and momentum conservation equations for each Phase were established to build a first-order hyperbolic partial derivative equations system. A new CCFL model is developed based on the characteristic equation of the hyperbolic PDE system. The present model has its applicationto the case in which a non-uniform flow is developed around a square or sharp-edged entrance of liquid phase. The model is able to he used to Predict the operating-limit of components in which mass and heat transfer are taking place between liquid and gas phases.
Purpose: Gynecomastia is an abnormal increase in the volume of the male breast. Patients affected by gynecomastia with significant glandular enlargement may respond to suction alone and/or sharp dissection and excision. The purpose of this report is to introduce the indications and results of authors' two techniques. Methods: The diameter of parenchyme was determined by a pinch test after liposuction. For the parenchymal diameter less than 4 cm, ultrasound-assisted liposuction was performed, in conjunction with the "pull-out technique" to effectively remove the fibrofatty tissue of the male breast through a single 5-7 mm incision. For the parenchymal diameter more than 4 cm, ultrasound-assisted liposuction and excision were applied through 2.5 cm periareolar approach. Results: A total of 94 patients (185 breasts) underwent the operation from October 2000 to October 2003 and mean follow-up period was 12 months. The volume of aspirates ranged from 50 to 450 cc per breast. There were no major complications such as skin flap necrosis. Five reoperations were performed for 1 hypertrophic scar, 2 under-resected and 2 hematoma cases. The patient's satisfaction was high and most of them were pleased with the shape of the breasts and scars. Conclusion: These procedures can minimize scars and reduce the incidence of contour problem such as saucer deformity, and provides consistent results. Patients can return to full activities in 48 hours. It can be offered as an option for the treatment of gynecomastia.
$^13CO$ chemisorbed on platinum particles in L-zeolite has been investigated by static and magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy. The representative spectra are composed of a broad asymmetric peak with a center of gravity at 230±30 ppm and a sharp symmetric peak at 124±2 ppm which is tentatively assigned to physisorbed $CO_2$, on inner walls of L-zeolite. Overall, the broad resonance component is similar to our previous results of highly dispersed (80-96%) CO/Pt/silica or CO/Pt/alumina samples, still showing metallic characters. The principal difference is in the first moment value. The broad peak in the spectra is assigned to CO linearly bound to Pt particles in the L-zeolites, and indicates a distribution of isotropic shifts from bonding site to bonding site. The NMR results reported here manifest that the Pt particles inside of the L-zeolites channels are not collectively the same with the ones supported on silica or alumina with similar dispersion in terms of Pt particle shape and/or ordering of Pt atoms in a particle. As a result, Pt particles of CO/Pt/L-zeolite were agglomerated accompanying CO desorption upon annealing. There were no definite changes in the NMR spectra due to differences of exchanged cations. Comparison of our observation on CO/Pt/L-zeolite with Sharma et al.'s reveals that even when the first moment, the linewidtb, and the relaxation times of the static spectra and the dispersion measured by chemisorption are similar, the properties of Pt particles can be dramatically different. Therefore, it is essential to take advantage of the strengths of several techniques together in order to interpret data reliably, especially for the highly dispersed samples.
The front bumper of bobsleigh is mounted to alleviate the impact, but the air resistance to the bobsleigh depends on the body shape positioned in front. This study was conducted the flow analyses about three kinds of bobsleigh configurations. Models B and C with the sharp type of the front can reduce the air resistance than model A with the round type of the front. And the type that the back of the bumper narrows can generate a flow smoother than the one widening. It is thought that the results of this study can be devoted at ensuring the body design to reduce the flow resistance most at bobsleigh. As the design data with the durability of bobsleigh obtained on the basis of this study result are utilized, the esthetic sense can be shown by being grafted onto the machine or structure at real life.

Many factors should be considered by architects and designers for designing a tall building. Wind load is one of these important factors that govern the design of tall building structures and can become a serious challenge when buildings tend to be built very tall and slender. On the other hand, through the initial stages of a design process, choosing the design geometry greatly affects the wind-induced forces on a tall building. With this respect, geometric shapes with 3-fold rotational symmetry are one of the applied plan shapes in tall buildings. This study, therefore, aims to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of 8 different geometrical shapes using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) by measuring the drag and lift forces. A case study approach was conducted in which different building shape models have the same total gross area and the same height of 300 meters. The simulation was an incompressible transient flow that ran 1700 timesteps (85 seconds on the real-time scale). The results show a great difference between wind-induced force performance of buildings with different plan shapes. Generally, it is stated that the shapes with the same area, but with smaller perimeters, are better choices for reducing the drag force on buildings. Applying the lift force, the results show that the buildings with plan shapes that have rounded corners act better in crosswind flow while, those with sharp corners induce larger forces in the same direction. This study delivers more analytical understanding of building shapes and their behavior against the wind force through the parametric modelling.
