The purposes of this study were to collect basic data on education of Sexuality(Health education) of consciousness & value of sexuality of elementary school children. 584,6th grade students in elementary school in Yong-In city were analysed and the results are as follow; 1. Knowledges of sexuality for children was at a average level, especially "physical change of puberty" and "sexual violence" were well recognized but "the physical characteristics of male & female" and "physiological phenomena of men" were less recognized. Attitudes of sexuality were positive for "relationship with partners" and "expression of mind". Practices of sexuality were at a low rate in the case of "shaking hands with partner" and "experience of sexual behavior". The Value of sexuality was at a high rates in the case of "the role of sex", "equality" & "self-identification", therefore students need good education of sexuality from childhood 2. Sexuality education of students increased knowledges of sexuality as a consciousness. There was no relationship between attitudes and pratices of sexuality. Educated children valued sexuality move highly than uneducated children. This result shows that education is needed with regard to both the knowledge and value of sexuality in a planned system. We need some program to provide more information on sexual attitudes and practices. 3. There was a high correlation between the consciousness of sexuality and value placed on it. As sexual awareness increases amongst students codes of morality develop Positive sexual attitudes served as good role models for sex. In particular positive sexual attitudes have a big effect on sexual values. In addition, as sexual awareness and attitude increase amongst students the role of sexual development. The elementary school phase sexual values are developed and determined. It is therefore an important phase.
Purpose: To confirm reference value for Korean version of FSFI in selecting subjects for clinical trial of sexual dysfunction in female. Methods: Purpose of the research was explained and anonymity was guaranteed to 41 women enlisted in 6 oriental medical clinics in Seoul and Incheon province and the scores for Korean version of FSFI which participants made out themselves were analyzed so that mean value and the distribution could be investigated. Results: Mean value for Korean version of FSFI of 40 participants scored 26.32 and from this score, the participants of clinical trial were enlisted to confirm whether or not the mean value could be applied. Conclusion: The mean value for Korean version of FSFI, which scored 26 might be acceptable as a criterion for selecting participants in clinical trial of sexual dysfunction.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify differences in sexual knowledge, attitudes and perspectives of sexual values for female students as these factors related to sexual characteristics. Methods: The participants were 835 girls in junior or high school from Seoul and Kyunggi province in Korea. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, F-test and Scheffe with the SPSS 14.0 WIN program. Results: The major results were as follows: First, for sexual knowledge, there were significant differences for girls from homes with conservative atmosphere and for those who had experiences related to porno. Second, related to sexual attitudes, students who had experience related to porno, were significantly more positive, and had a more open attitudes than students with no experience. Third, for perspectives of sexual value, students who perceived a conservative home atmosphere, who had boy friend, and who had experiences related to porno, had a more positive sexuality, and attitudes towards sexual equality. Conclusion: The findings indicate that it is necessary to develop special sex education programs for both school and parents so that teachers and parents can guide these students appropriately.
The purpose of this study was to examine male students' awareness and receptivity of cross-sexual fashion. The subjects in this study were 480 male university students and 320 high school boys. After a survey was conducted in August 2007, the following findings were given: 1. How much the students were interested in fashion was investigated, and they thought of fashion often, Even though nothing any fashion shopping plan they were interested display of fashion market and logged onto online fashion shopping malls frequently. 2. As for awareness of cross-sexual, they got a mean of 2.79(1.10), which indicated their awareness level was below the average. Those who were more intrigued by fashion, who were university students and who had a girl friend were better cognizant of cross-sexual. 3. To what extent they were receptive to cross-sexual fashion was checked in terms of clothes, haircare, skin care, accessories and perfume/cosmetic surgery and they were most receptive to cross-sexual haircare(3.49). Those who cared more about fashion were more receptive to cross-sexual. The Value of clothes and perfume/cosmetic surgery for university students was higher than the high school students. 4. They were most receptive to other's cross-sexual haircare(3.51) and to other's cross-sexual clothes(2.77) the least. Those who were more intrigued by fashion were more receptive to others seeking after cross-sexual. The Value of clothes sand perfume/cosmetic surgery for university students was higher than the high school students. 5. There was a strong correlational relationship among their interest in fashion, awareness of cross-sexual, receptivity to their own being a cross-sexual man and receptivity to others who are cross-sexual. The findings of the study illustrated that those who were more intrigued by fashion and who were better aware of cross-sexual were more receptive to cross-sexual fashion.
Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to identify the correlation of the Value on marriage, Children and Sexual attitude in college students. Method: Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that consisted of Value on marriage, Children and Sexual attitude from 2 colleges located in K-city. Final participants included 1,057 students. Results: Sexual attitude related to the value on marriage were differences in the family relationships first, to a celibate life, concerned about marriage, to get married at the age, should marry him, sex regardless, divorce can be even if child, Related to the child were necessity of children, to help economically, to fulfill the dream of parents, to put the house line, duty to society. Sexual attitude were inverse correlated to the religion, grade, valuable things as parents, necessity of children. Conclusion: Sexual attitude for college students significantly related value on marriage and children. In order to value on marriage and child according to the change on sexual attitude is recommended diverse healthy strategy in college students.
The purpose of this study was to develope Premarial Sexual Education Program. This program was based on survey(466 data used) for the need of PSEP. The result were as followings: 1. The need of sex education was higher(92.9%) and the participation of this PSEP was 80.4%, so this program was systemic structure. 2. Their premarital sexual values were more permissive(52.2%) than the past. But women thought tha female would be vergin(27.1%) their inter course experience rate was 33.4% and Age of experience was under 23 year olds. 3. The unmarried persns wanted that PSEP was consisted of 10 sub themes : (1) pregnancy and child-birth(mean=4.4/5) (2) contraception and family planning(m=4.3) (3) sexual morality and sexual value(m=4.2) (4) sexual healthy family (m=4.1) (5) sexual open communication(m=4.1) (6) venereal disease and coping stratiges(m=4.0) (7) sex role learning(m=3.9) (8) sexual physiology(m=3.8) (9) premarital sex and unwed mother(m=3.7) (10) adultery and society(m=3.6) 4. They want that group meeting would be every Wensday or Friday evening and the required time is two hours. The instruction methods are expected lecture, discussion or seminar and viewing video tapes. 5. So PSEP was consist of 10 sub-themes: (1) orientation and self-disclosure(test, lecture, game) (2) sexual physiology(video tape, lecture) (3) pregnancy and child birth(lecture, video tape) (4) contraceptive methods and family planning(lecture, video tape, test, discussion) (5) sex role learning(test, lecture, role-play) (6) venereal disease and coping stratiges(lecture, video tape) (7) premarital sex and incest(cause study, lecture) (8) sex morality and sex value(seminars, lecture) (9) sexual open communication(seminars) (10) sexual healthy family(lecture, seminars)
Purpose: This study was examined the quality of the sexual life among married women in terms of the factor structure of Sexual Quality of Life(SQOL) and evaluated the predictive value of 11 variables for SQOL. Method: Two hundred and ninety-three married women completed the Korean version SQOL scale with information on age, education, length of marriage, family income, health, sexual knowledge, coital frequency, harmony with family members, levels of affection, and general and sexual communication. Data were analysed with principal components and regression analyses. Result: The SQOL scale had two clearly defined factors, Negative Quality of Sexual Life and Positive Quality of Sexual Life, on which all scale items were significantly loaded, accounting for 54.3% of the total variance. Independent regression analysis showed all variables except education to be significant predictors of SQOL with interpersonal variables (general and sexual communication, affection and harmony with family members) being the most powerful predictors. However when the 11 variables were combined together in stepwise analysis, only 6 variables (general communication, age, affection, coital frequency, sexual knowledge and health) were significant, accounting for 39% of the total variance. Conclusion: The Korean version SQOL scale is a good measure to tackle SQOL in married women. To enhance SQOL, strengthening interpersonal interaction focusing on general/sexual communication, affection and harmony with family members seems to be more important than sexual activities and personal characteristics.
The purpose of this preliminary study was to test the validity and reliability Sexual Development Assessment Scale for Adolescents. Subjects were 579 middle school and 504 high school students in Seoul and Gyeonggido. Statistical analyses were by factor analyses, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, $x^2$ value and Cramer's V. Construct validity was composed with 10 factors on sexual Development Assessment Scale for middle school students and 12 factors for high school students. Reliability of each subscale was high and the item discrimination, $x^2$ value and Cramer's V were also meaningful.
This study is conducted with a view to make correct sexual differentiation by the utilization of discriminant functions. For that purpose were randomly sampled out 148 young adults testes, comprising 67 males and 81 females, ranging from 15 through 18 years fo age. Based on the values made available from the measurement of 6 items corresponding to the maxillary cast models, a statistical analysis was made to abstract feasible discriminant functions. The results findings are as follows: 1. The mean value by sex indicates, in all items, higher one in male group than in female group. 2. Through the measurement were defined as singnificant items in sexual differentiation the bucco-lingual dimensions of canine, 1st-molar, 2nd molar, and 1st bimolat width. 3. Objectives: This study aims to analyze recognition and problems of in Daegu local college students on sexual violence and figure out major factors to prevent sexual violence and to use as necessary basic resources for the improvement of individual and social recognition and effective sexual education. Methods: The Data from 255 students (85%) out of 300 excluding questionnaires with insufficient answers were under analysis using Excel Program and SPSS Win 17.0 for cross-tabulations and correlation analysis. Significance test were performed using $x^2$-test. Results: 1) As to recognition of sexual violence by gender, 88.2%(60) of male and 91.4%(171) of female students conceived the current sexual violence level is hazardous which shows female students had slightly higher recognition. 2) As to recognition of sexual education by gender, both conceived it for equipping proper value system of sex(55.9% of male & 61.5% of female student). 3) As to prevention and coping with sexual violence by gender, 58.8% of male students and 65.2% of female students answered that prevention is possible. 4) As to the correlation between sexual violence factors, it showed positive (+) correlation in the experience of sexual education and the recognition of sexual violence level, in the recognition of sexual violence level and the recognition of sexual violence responsible scope, and in the possibility of sexual violence prevention and the recognition of sexual crime prevention law. 5) As to the recognition and measurement by experience of sexual education, among those who answered the current sexual violence level was hazardous 91.8% had previous sexual education experience and 83.3% had no experience. 6) As to the recognition and measurement of sexual violence by experience of sexual violence (self-determination), those with sexual education experience (79.8%) had little experience in sexual violence than those with not (91.6%). 7) As to the recognition and measurement of sexual violence by the possibility of preventing sexual violence, it showed statistically significant difference in the reason of increase of sexual violence(p<0.01). Conclusions: Accordingly, to provide systematic and sustainable sexual education, individualized education considering gender, individual development rather than standardized group education in its teaching method is necessary, and follow-up evaluation and feed-back system should be implemented to assess achievement and recognition of sexual education.
