The object of this study was to examine the sex role attitudes of the housewives(mothers) and daughters in Seoul, and whether mother sex role attitude had influence on her daughter's and the sociodemographic variables of mother had an effect on her daughter sex role attitude or not. Questionnaire was given to randomly selected mothers and daughters in Seoul in sept., 1983. Data from the 384 responses was analyzed by percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, F-test and t-test . It was found that; 1) Generally, the housewives in Seoul had traditional sex role attitudes. 2) the housewives who were educated the high level, paied the higher salary and employed in professional job had the moderner sex role attitudes, age, religion, employed or unemployed were not variables to have influence on the mother sex role attitude. 3) The adolescent daughters in Seoul had moderner sex role attitude than that if their mothers. 4) Mother sex role attitude had influence on the daughter's 5) The daughter sex role attitude was influenced by the mother's sociodemographic variables. The daughter sex role attitude brought up form the mother who was educated the higher level and employed in professional job was modern. But mother's age, religion and employed or unemployed had little influence on the daughter sex role attitude.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between wive's sex-role attitude and their marital satisfaction for understanding a part of marital relations. For this purpose, a questionnaire was constructed and administrated to 626 married women. the sex role attitude scale was a modified version of the sex-role attitude scale constructed by Osmond and Martin, and the marital satisfaction scale was developed basing upon the scales used by Terman and Hayes & Stinnett. The result of this study are summarized as follows; The majority of wives have relatively modem attitude toward their sex role in the extra familial roles. Wives have relatively modem attitude toward their sex role when the couples are younger, more educated, on a higher income level and working or a job (especially or a professional job). Wife's education level, husband's education level and family income make significant difference in their marital satisfaction specifically, a wife would be relatively more satisfied when she has more education and the family income level is higher. It is founded that wives sex role attitude has significant relationship with their marital satisfaction. A wife tends to be more satisfied when she has a traditional sex role attitude . A professional wife who has a traditional attitude shows most satisfaction and one who has a modern attitude and not having a job tends to be most dissatisfied with her marriage. It is also founded that a wife who has traditional attitude and received college education are above shows most satisfaction while the wife who has modern attitude and received high school education or below shows most dissatisfaction with their marriage lives.
This study examined sex-role attitude, conjugal status level and status satisfaction of rural married women as a part of study on problem diagnosis and status enhancement of Korean rural women. The subjects were 919 married farming women. Data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe multiple range test, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The major findings were as follows : 1) Rural womens sex-role attitude were conservative attitude. 66.7% of them conceived that their husband had more conservative attitude than them. Variables as age, education level, and farming work type were significant related with sex-role attitude. 2) Conjugal status level (housework sharing, domestic decision-making, agriculture decision-making, property rights) of rural women were low and not equal. It was affected by sex-role attitude, the proportion of their work to family farming work, similar/different type of sex-role attitude of couples, and their farming work type. 3) Their status satisfaction were low and affected by factors such as similar/different type of sex-role attitude of couples, conjugal status level, sex-role attitude, their farming work type, and education level.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Sex Role attitude and childrens clothing behavior for senior childhood years upon two regions-city of Wonju and Mokpo-The questionnaires were administered to 315 elementary school children in Mokpo and 268 in Wonju. This data was analyze ststistically using to pearson's correlation, ANOVA (one-way or two-way) and Multiple Classification Analyze. The major findings of this research can be summarize as followings: 1. There are significant relationships between the unisex clothing behavior and the sex role attitude subscales. Liberal attitude toward sex role were positively related to unisex clothing behavior for senior childhood years children. 2. There are significant positive correlationships between the attitude of solving problem and comfort, autonomy, linterest and management. 3. The Sex and Grade have significants effect on the sex role attitude in two regios. Girls exhibited higher liberal attitudes toward sex role than boys. 4. The Sex have significant effects on clothing behavior and Grade have partially significant effect on clothing behavior. 5. The equality of the sexes attitude is significant relationships among the sex role attitude subscales except attitude of solving problems. There are significant inter relationships between the family role, occupation role and play role among the sex role subscales. 6. There are significant positive correlations between the unisex clothing behavior and conformity. And significant negative correlations between comfort and the unisex clothing behavior. Comfort is related to autonomy and management. Management is related to auton-omy and interest. 7. There are significant differences in sex role attitude according to two regions.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of socialization of household work and to analyze the influence of demographic and psycho-social variable on socialization of household work. For the purpose of this study, questionnaires were administrated to 314 housewives in Pusan. This research was to identify the relationships between sex role attitude and the preference of fashion advertising formatted by sex role expression, and to examine the relationships among sex role attitude and sociographic variables. This research has been done for 618 university students and working group who are living in Cheongju and Seoul. For data analysis, descriptive analysis, ANOVA, and t-test were used. The results are the following: 1. In the view of the preference of fashion advertising, the stereotypical fashion advertising has more point than the androgynous fashion advertising. 2. The advertising formation preference showed a little difference significantly by sex role attitude. The group with conservative sex role preferred the stereotypical fashion advertising. The group with open-minded sex role preferred the androgynous fashion advertising. 3. Women preferred the androgynous advertising. As the aged, they preferred the stereotypical fashion advertising and have the conservative sex role. University students have more intention to buy with an androgynous fashion commercial than working group have and they have the open-minded about sex. The group subscribed the fashion magazine has more preference for androgynous fashion advertising, as they have more open-minded sex role than other group not subscribed the fashion magazine. This results imply that the androgynous formatted advertizing is still hard to get the influence of a general market promotion because most consumers have a low androgynous fashion advertizing preference. The preference of the fashion advertizing which expressed a sex role showed significant differences as social demographics, and a sex-role attitude. Therefore, the market segment and advertising strategies which are based on sex role and consumer characteristics would be very effective.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between three aspects of clothing behavior and sex role attitude. For Sex Role: sex role attitude was measured by Osmond-Martin's Sex Role Attitude Scale and Items selected from Smith, Ferree and Miller's Feminism Scale. For Clothing Behavior: a unisex clothing attitude questionnaire was developed for this study, and general clothing behavior was assessed with Kim; Won: Kim: Lee; and Jung's questionnaires dealing with modesty and the yin-yang continuum of design preference. The questionnaries were administered to a sample of 366 junior high school girls in Seoul. The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation. The results were that, liberal attitudes toward sex role were positively related to unisex clothing attitude: liberal attitudes toward sex role were negatively related to modesty in clothing. Liberal attitudes toward sex role were related to the yin-yang continuum of design preference in clothing; that is, the persons having more liberal attitudes toward sex role preferred yang (masculine) design.
The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in the clothing image perception of elderly women according to the clothing types, the clothing colors, the perceiver's sex-role attitude, and gender. Result of factor analysis revealed that the dimensions of clothing image perception was classified into four categories: evaluation, youth, warmth, and activity. Perceiver's sex-role attitude and gender gave a significant influence on the perception of evaluation factor. Youth factor had an interaction effect on the clothing types, clothing colors, and sex-role attitudes. The persons with a conservative sex-role attitude perceived the clothing image of warm color suits as younger than the one of cold colors. The clothing image of a warm colored Hanbok (Korean traditional dress) was perceived milder than a cold one, but there were no difference in suits. Bright color suits make the wearer look younger, and cold color suits make the wearer look active. The clothing color had greater influences on the warmth and the evaluation factor than clothing types. Persons who have a conservative sex-role attitude perceived the differences according to clothing types and colors in a traditional way. It could be certified that perceiver's sex-role attitude was one of the variables influencing his/her perception in social interaction.

The objectives of this study were to investigate the three aspects of clothing behavior of high school toys and the relationships between those of clothing behavior and sex role attitude. For clothing behavior, two types of Clothing Conformity Scales were developed for this study, and two other aspects were assessed with Won, Choi. and Kahng's questionnaires dealing with Unisex Clothing Behavior and The Interest in fashionable Styles of Clothing. Sex role attitude was measured by Choi's questionnairs which was selected from Osmond-Martins's Sex Role Attitude Scale, and from Smith, Ferree and Miller's Feminism Scale. The questionnaires were administered to a sample of 243 high school boys in Seoul. The statistical analyses used for this study included relative frequency, Pearson's correlation, stepwise multiple regression. ANOVA, and t-test. The results obtained from this research were: 1) The liberal attitude of high school boys toward sex role was, in part, negatively correlated to the clothing conformity. 2) There were no significant relationships between sex role attitude ana unisex clothing behavior, and between sex role attitude and the interest in fashionable styles of clothing. 3) The unisex clothing behavior of the students was positively correlated to their interest in fashionable styles of clothing.
This study analyzed the differences of the sex-role attitude and marital satisfaction of the elderly couples according to the demographic factors as well as analyzed the relationships between sex-role attitude(sex-role awareness, sex-capacity awareness) and marital satisfaction. 378 structured questionnaires were collected from elderly couples who were pus 60 and live in Gyeonggi-do areas. And the frequency analysis, factor analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, t-test, and ANOVA were carried out through SPSS Ver. 20. The findings are as follows. First, the differences of the sex-role attitude and marital satisfaction of the elderly couples according to the demographic were found partially. Second, the sex-role awareness of the elderly couples affected on marital satisfaction positively, but the sex-capacity awareness did not.
