  • Each and everything named fashion together with clothes were limited in the boundary of women and men's wear has been slow and narrow in changing speed compared to women's, even there are some differences in accordance time. But maintaining the basic features, men's wear in the latter 20th century has undergone diverse change in the part of materials such as various synthetic fiber, glass, metal, artificial leather and the see-through fabric able to seeing the body wearing the clothes. Therefore, the aim and definition of this study is to present the systematic framework giving help to develop men's wear design newer and more various by considering moulding of materials which existing men's wear could not show up and by grasping material trend of men's clothes in 1990s. The results of the study were summarized as follows : (1) Material containing lustering is categorized as Velvet, Silk, Lustering materials by synthetic fiber and Lustering materials by additional substance. The Velvet generally acknowledged having something to feel womanly image shows the bisexual character coexisting feature of men and women after grafting with men'fashion. The Silk was endowed the role as means of pleasure to express beyond boundary of sex breaking the existing consciousness which men should wear male clothes, not considering differences between men and women. The lustering made by synthetic fiber expressed modern sensitivity aesthetically to the suit. The lustering materials made by additional substance is seen mixed masculine character with womanly character. (2) See-through materials are acknowledged as decadence beauty caused by expanding subjective awareness in beauty. (3) Materials by the sorts of Net is categorized as Lace, Knit The Lace expression seemed to emphases the human liberation of men and women and the humanity from liberation of subjecthood. The Knit can be felt both woman's image and man's image as bisexual image, not raising only one side sex. (4) Elastic materials offered the opportunity to approve exposure in a time when exposure of men's body was not granted ethically. (5) Leather was shown as indication of social status and inferiority and expression of collective resistance against sexual stagnation of men and women.

  • Objective: To systematically review previous studies and to assess, via a subgroup meta-analysis, the combined odds ratio (OR) of prognostic factors affecting the success of miniscrew implants (MIs) inserted into the buccal posterior region. Methods: Three electronic searches that were limited to articles on clinical human studies using MIs that were published in English prior to March 2015 were conducted. The outcome measure was the success of MIs. Patient factors included age, sex, and jaw of insertion (maxilla vs. mandible), while the MI factors included length and diameter. A meta-analysis was performed on 17 individual studies. The quality of each study was assessed for non-randomized studies and quantified using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale. The meta-analysis outcome was a combined OR. Subgroup and sensitivity analyses based on the study design, study quality, and sample size of miniscrews implanted were performed. Results: Significantly higher success rates were revealed for MIs inserted in the maxilla, for patients ${\geq}20$ years of age, and for long MIs (${\geq}8mm$) and MIs with a large diameter (> 1.4 mm). All subgroups acquired homogeneity, and the combined OR of the prospective studies (OR, 3.67; 95% confidence interval [CI], 2.10-6.44) was significantly higher in the maxilla than that in the retrospective studies (OR, 2.10; 95% CI, 1.60-2.74). Conclusions: When a treatment plan is made, these risk factors, i.e. jaw of insertion, age, MI length, and MI diameter, should be taken into account, while sex is not critical to the success of MIs.

  • Although there have been various studies related to the body's movement from a sitting to a standing position (sit-to-stand task), there is limited information on the kinematic changes on the frontal and transverse planes. The purpose of this study was to ascertain how pelvic tilt affects kinematic changes in the frontal and transverse planes in the hip and knee joints during a sit-to-stand task. For this study, 33 healthy participants (13 female) were recruited. Each participant rose from a sitting to a standing posture at his or her preferred speed for each of three different pelvic tilt trials (anterior, posterior, and neutral), and the measured angles were analyzed using a 3-D motion analysis system. A one-way repeated measure analysis of variance was performed with Bonferroni's post hoc test. In addition, an independent t-test was carried out to determine the sex differences in hip and knee joint kinematic changes during the sit-to-stand tasks. The results were as follows: 1) The hip and knee joint angle in the frontal and transverse planes showed a significant difference between the different pelvic tilt postures during sitting in the pre-buttock lift-off phase (pre-LO) (p<.05). Compared to the posterior pelvic tilt posture, the anterior pelvic tilt posture involved significantly greater hip joint adduction and internal rotation, knee joint adduction, and reduced internal rotation of the knee joint. 2) Sex differences were found with significant differences for males in the initial and maximal angles in the frontal plane of the hip and knee joint (p<.05). Females had a significantly smaller initial abduction angle of the hip joint and a significantly greater maximal angle of the hip adduction joint. These results suggest that selecting a sit-to-stand exercise for pelvic tilt posture should be considered to control abnormal movement in the lower extremities.

  • The purpose of this study is to consider students′ scholastic relationship in mathematics between elementary school and middle school from the 3rd grade in elementary school to the 2nd and the 3rd grades in middle school. The following are the results: 1. CONCLUSIONS 1. Students′ present scores are most closely related to those of their previous grade. The data are based on the two groups of the 3rd grade middle school students - one is honhappan(mixed students from different elementary school) and the other shinaepan(the students from the same elementary school in kong ju city). This close relation between present and previous scores in mathematics may well be reasonable since mathematics is systemized hierarchically. Among the score data in elementary school, the scores in the 5th grade are meaningfully related to present score data in mathematics. 2. Two pans (as I mentioned above, honhap and shinae) are divided into groups and their scores are traced from the 3rd grade in elementary school and the data show that the high-levelled students have little changes in their scores, but low-levelled students have dropped radically in their scores from the first grade in middle school. 3. In terms of students′ interests, students who answered, "I′m very interested in mathematics." have no distinguished characteristics in their scores while those who answered, "I have little interest in mathematics" shows a decrease in their scores. 4. Among the reasons for their lack of interests, the replies are "because of exams," "because of teaching methods," and "because of the textbooks." II. Suggestion To compensate the limitation and difficiency of this study, the foll owing is suggested for the following studies related to this one. 1. This study was limited to gathering students′ score data from female students in a small city. For a more accurate statistic a bigger population is needed as well as varied geographical and social economical area is suggested. A good idea is to study homogeneous sex groups as well as heterogeneous sex groups 2. It is easy to find out what grade is closely related to the present scores by statistical analysis, but the reasons for their relationship have to be found out through the following studies 3. There are many studies on cognitive domain in math but it is expected to have more studies on affective domain as well.

  • In many fish species, including Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), gonadal development occurs at the expense of stored energy and nutrients. Therefore, reproductive systems are inhibited by limited food supply. It has been well established that reproductive function is highly sensitive to both metabolic status and energy balance. Nothing is known about the possible mediated connection between energy balance and reproduction. Kisspeptin, a neuropeptide product of the Kiss gene has emerged as an essential gatekeeper of reproduction and may be possibly be linked to energy balance and reproduction in non-mammalians. Thus, in this study, the effect of fasting (10 days) on the expression of kisspeptin and the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) gene were assessed in Nile tilapia (male and female) using qRT-PCR. In addition, plasma levels of estradiol-$17{\beta}$ ($E_2$) and 11-ketotestosterone (11-KT) in adult tilapia were measured by ELISA. In male tilapia, fasting reduced Kiss2 and GnRH I mRNA expression in the brain and 11-KT level in comparison with the fed tilapia (p < 0.05). In females, however, there were no significant differences in GnRH I mRNA expression and $E_2$ between fish subjected to fasting and those fed (p > 0.05). These data indicate the impact of nutritional states on kisspeptin as a potential regulatory mechanism for the control of reproduction in male Nile tilapia.

  • A Study of the Emotionality of Child and Mother The purpose of this study is primarily to understand the emotional climate of child and mother, which is a significant factor in child study and the home life. A sample was collected from a total of 1,592 of whom 796 are elementary school children with their mothers. Of these 796 children 440 are fom private schools, 190 from public schools in Seoul. The rest are taken from a farming area, 100 kilometers from Seoul. The data was basically obtained through answers to a questionaire distributed in September 1973. In this study, the cross-sectional method, percentage calculation and chi-square test are adapted from factor analysis. With this limited amount of data special attention now, the following conclusions can be drawn from this analysis although special attention should be given in making any kind of generalization about the entire population. 1) Children's emotionality (a) There is a higher percentage of emotionally well-adjusted children as opposed to maladjusted children.(51%>11%) (b) There is no correlation between children's emotionality and the following factors: grade, sex, residential area, school records, and educational level of their mothers. 2) Mother's Emotionality (a) There are more mothers who consider themselves happy than unhappy.(49%>2%) On the other hand a higher percentage of mothers reported feelings of tension and insecurity as compared to those who had feelings of firm security(65%>5%) (b) There is a high correlationshionship between marital adjustment and marital happiness. In other words, the more adjusted, the happier. A high marital happiness has strong influence on the preference of sex, on children's adjustment to their friends, and their present living condition. (c) There is a close relationship between a high marital adjustment and the social development of a child: being fond of fathers, homelife, and the acquaintance with many friends. In the same way, the positive emotionality of a mother in raising her children and their school records are also important. 3) Emotional relationship between a mother and her chid There is a close bond of love and respect between a mother and her child. Moreover, a high frequence of close and open-minded communication exist between them in a family. It is evident that the emotional climate of the mother has a strong and powerful influence on her child.

  • It is a remarkable phenomenon that tattoos has been rapidly spreading among women of modern years. The extremism of feminine ornaments, and pricking and piercing of the skin seem to have deep connection with women's consciousness changing to being independent, active and aggressive. The objective of this study is to analyze the potential quality of today's women, who appears emblematically through tattoo, and to search out the whole aspect and keynote of female tattoos. The methods of research are by examining the general characteristics including concept and history, considering the type and significance of ethnic female tattoos, and then comparing with the symbolism of today's female tattoos. The sphere is limited to women's tattoos from ancient times to today's modern lift, examined from large portions of Africa, Asia, Australasia, the Americas, and Arctic regions. As a result, the following had been reflected in female tattoos in the past. First, incantation, tribe, adult age, adornment, marital status, domestic ability and sex distinction, where among others, the incantatory, ornamental symbol, and domestic sign were representatives. Second, the most popular body parts for having a tattoo were around the lips, hands and abdominal region. Third, the more harsh the environment becomes such as tropical forests, isolated islands, and polar regions, the more number of females have tatoos. Fourth, women's tattoos were much less glamorous and smaller compared to those of men, distinguishing one's sex. On the other hand, today's female tattoos can be classified as five symbols: masculinity, independence, voluptuousness, affection, and purity. These symbols contain women's mentality to pass the limit, and to overcome social inferiority. In modern society, where women must compete with met it has become necessary for women to educe their potential masculine qualities. Being violent accessories for them, tattoos became a mark of such potential. Therefore, in the future, women's interest and demand for tattoos are expected to rise in proportion to the social demand of women's force.

  • Purpose: The cephalic index (CI) is used to classify the head and every race has its unique characteristics. Previous studies published in Korea were limited to demonstrating the periodical change of the CI. This study was done to determine the CI change in 0 to 20 year-old Koreans by sex and age. Methods: The measurement was done on 1,222 Koreans ranging from 0 to 20 years of age, randomly selected from 2,156 who were diagnosed with simple concussion, had no other diseases or anomalies, and took cephalographs from January, 2000 to July, 2008. The files were obtained from $Marosis^{(R)}$ and then photogrammetry was done by $Photoshop^{(R)}$. To standardize the cephalograph, the Frankfort horizontal line was selected as the reference line on lateral view and the line connecting both lateral-orbitales on AP view. The maximal length was obtained from the lateral cephalograph and the maximal breadth from the AP cephalograph. Results: The CI showed no difference by sex (p=0.4848). The CI and age showed negative correlation (p<0.0001). Analyzed separately by the male and the female, the CI showed statistical significance in the male (p<0.0001), but not in the female (p=0.4741) group. Comparing the CI above the age of 11, the CI of the female became greater than that of the male. Conclusion: This study contributes to the standardization of CI measurement and the authors were able to obtain the average CI by age. We concluded that the CI decreased according to age and most Koreans belonged to barchycephalic or hyperbrachycephalic.

  • This study aimed to investigate whether breed, sex, and age affected temperament differently (more or less neophobic) in mature horses during a novel object test. The study included Jeju crossbred (n = 12, age = 9.42 ± 4.57 y), Thoroughbred (n = 15, age = 10.73 ± 3.09 y), and Warmblood horses (n = 12, age = 13.08 ± 3.55 y) with the females (n = 22, age = 11.36 ± 4.24 y) and geldings (n = 17, age = 10.65 ± 3.66 y). Jeju crossbreds (Jeju horse × Thoroughbred) are valuable considering their popular usage in Korea, but limited studies have explored temperament of Jeju crossbred horses. A trained experimenter touched the left side of the neck with a white plastic bag (novel object). The test ended when the horse stopped escape response and heart rate (HR) dropped to baseline. Behavioral score and escape duration were measured as behavioral variables. Multiple variables related to HR and heart rate variability (HRV) were measured to reflect emotional state. These included basal HR (BHR), maximum HR (MHR), delay to reach maximum heart rate (Time to MHR), standard deviation of beat-to-beat intervals (SDNN), root mean square of successive differences (RMSSD), and ratio of low to high frequency components of a continuous series of heartbeats (LF/HF). Statistics revealed that Thoroughbreds had significantly higher behavioral scores, and lower RMSSD than Jeju crossbreds (p < 0.05), suggesting greater excitement and fear to the novel object in Thoroughbreds. None of the behavioral or cardiac parameters exhibited sex differences (p < 0.05). Age was negatively correlated with SDNN and RMSSD (p < 0.05), indicating that older horses felt more anxiety to the novelty than younger horses. Thoroughbreds and females had distinct correlations between behavioral and HRV variables in comparison with other groups (p < 0.05), implying that escape duration might be a good indicator of stress, especially in these two groups. These results are expected to improve equine welfare, safety and utility, by providing insights into the temperament of particular horse groups, to better match reactivity levels with specific functions.
