DCM 공법에 의한 방파제 기초 적용사례 (Application to Breakwater Foundation by DCM)

  • The DCM(Deep Cement Mixing) Method was introduced domestically in 1985 and has been applied widely to improve stability, increase bearing capacity and reduce settlement of the structure. It has been only performed by the combined equipment to improve the soft ground in coastal areas. But it has qualify-control problems such as interference of waves and improving depth, etc. Therefore DCM Barge of specialist equipment, named by Dong Ji Ho, was equipped with three mixing shafts with four rod and installed GPS system In itself, had been developed in 2005 for the purpose of solving the above problems. This paper represents about Dong Ji Ho's qualify-control system as well as it's first domestic application to in-situ trial test and the original design of the Ulsan breakwater site.

  • Recently construction activities increase in reclaimed onshore areas. It is therefore considered an important factor for the design of pile foundation with problems in terms of settlements due to soft grounds. Nevertheless the design of piles for negative skin friction(or downdrag forces) is probably poorly understood by many engineers. It is mainly because the most of design specification give a way to design pile foundation in bearing capacity aspect although the negative skin friction is related to settlement(downdrag). Under LRFD(load resistance factor design) approach it is to separately consider ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. This paper discusses LRFD approach to the design of piles for negative skin friction and compares this approach to traditional design approach. And also a case history is analyzed in that point of view.

  • The purpose of this study is derived by Utilization Strategy for Rural empty houses stability of Return to the Farm and Rural. The main findings can be summarized as follows. First, the recent return to the farm and rural has increased, and life patterns of diversification, and the retirement of the baby boomer generation return to the farm and rural ratio differed by region. Second, the required first order accurate and detailed to maximize the utilization of the rural empty houses Survey, and the integrated management system based on it should be built. Third, the public lead in pushing for policy to take advantage of an empty house, leasing and management capabilities by strengthening return to the farm and rural characters, revitalizing rural and residential stabilization is necessary. Finally, in order to enhance the utilization of the rural empty houses should prepare return to the farm and rural, Multi-Habitation and a common space for existing residents for a variety of purposes. The results of these studies has a significance that can promote rural housing return to the farm and rural, resource utilization and stable settlement, and rural areas activated at the same time. Utilization of specific rural empty houses feasible policy being prepared, by linking rural areas that can bring effects on the activation of alternative hope.

보강재 연결 유.무에 따른 보강토옹벽의 보강효과 (Improved Effects of Reinforced Wall with Types of Connection Methods)

  • 본 연구에서는 보강토 구조물에 이용되는 지오그리드와 국내에 많이 분포하고 있는 화강풍화토를 대상으로 하여, 보강재의 포설깊이가 동일한 상태에서 보강재의 길이를 벽체높이의 0.465배, 0.685배, 0.9배로 설치하여 보강재가 전면벽체에 정착된 경우와 비정착된 경우에 대하여 모형실험을 실시하였다. 모형실험결과, 정착된 경우에는 보강재의 길이가 증가함에 따라 지지력은 무보강인 경우 보다 약 1.725~2.1배 증가함을 알 수 있었으며, 침하량도 약 20%이상의 감소율을 보였다. 전면 벽체의 최대 수평변위량은 무보강에 비해 약 80%이상의 감소율을 보였다. 비정착된 경우에도 무보 강인 경우보다 지지력이 약 1.7배이상 증가하였으며, 전면벽체의 최대 수평변위는 약 50%이상 감소하였다. 모형실험을 통해 고찰한 파괴면은 Bchlosser 등(1979)의 연구결과와 유사하게 나타났다.

  • Recently, electric power reliability of our country has been improved. However, there are still remaining problems which are short-duration variations like instantaneous and momentary interruption and voltage sag by nature calamity ; typhoon, lightning, snow, etc. Besides, power quality ; harmonics, caused by using power electronics equipments, become a hot issue Malfunction of controller and stop machinery, and losing the important data are caused by poor power quality at a couple of second. Due to those, UPS, which is made up battery, has being used, but there are several disadvantages ; long charge and discharge time, environmental problem by acid and heavy metal, and short life time. As generally know, micro-SMES is a method to settle those mentioned. However, there need huge system apparatuses in order to verify the effect of system efficiency and stability considering the size of micro-SMES, the sort of converter type, and various conditions ; inner temperature, magnetic field, quench characteristic of micro-SMES, and etc. In this paper, in order to bring the mentioned above to a settlement, a micro-SMES is modeled with characteristics of micro-SMES is interfaced to EMTOC program using Fortran program interface method. We obtained hopeful answers and made the simulation model of micro SMES.

콘크리트 표면 차수벽형 석괴댐의 Zone-1재료에 대한 다짐특성 (Compaction Characteristics of Zone-1 Material in Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam)

  • 콘크리트 표면 차수벽형 석괴댐(CRFD)에서의 표층부기초지반은 콘크리트 차수벽을 균등하게 지지할 수 있는 지지력과 사면안정을 위한 소요강도를 확보하여야 하며, 콘크리트 차수벽의 누수시 세립토의 유실을 억제할 수 있는 차수성을 유지하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 사면부 표층기초지반에 대하여 시험시공을 실시하여 다짐회수에 대한 제체의 변위량과 현장다짐밀도의 변화, 살수량에 따른 함수비 변화 등을 측정하여 효율적인 다짐관리기준을 마련하고자 하였다. 일련의 현장다짐시험결과 CFRD에서의 표층부기초지반은 층별 포설두께 및 다짐회수에 따라 영향 받고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 항만시설에서 발생하는 지진에 의한 피해의 대부분은 매립지반의 액상화에 기인하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 국내 대형 항만의 안벽은 대부분 중력식 안벽으로 설계·시공되고 있으며, 이러한 중력식 안벽은 조성된 배후 지반이 액상화에 취약하여 지진 발생시 액상화로 인한 대규모의 파괴가 발생한 사례가 많이 보고된 바 있다. 이번 연구에서는 현재 건설 중인 대형 항만의 안벽 배후지에 대한 액상화평가를 실시함에 있어서 일관되고 합리적인 시험과 평가과정을 통해 액상화에 대한 지반의 안정성을 검토하였다. 또한, 국내 시방서에서 사용하고 있는 액상화예측 모델과 일본 시방서에사 사용하고 있는 액상화예측 모델을 각각 적용하여 그 차이를 검토하였다.

사질토지반에서 짧은 쇄석다짐말뚝의 배치형태에 따른 지지력특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Bearing Capacity for Rammed Aggregate Pier in Sand)

  • Rammed Aggregate Pier method is intermediate foundation of deep and shallow foundation, it has been built on world wide. But the investigation and research in domestic is not accomplished. In this paper, examined details of different spacing of piles, bearing capacities, respectively, conclude with recommendations on how RAP can be used in future needs. This documentation further provides comparisons of the laboratory test results which were obtained from differenciate the spacing of piles, namely installed rammed aggregate pier. Strain control test was conducted to determine the bearing capacities of the piers; 20mm, 30mm and 40mm diameter drilling equipment to drill holes were installed in sand at initial relative densities of 40%. By comparing different spacing of piles, in this experiment, piles are spaced structually span, form a ring shape, narrowing the distance of each other, to the center. the result shows that as diameter of pier is bigger in diameter, bearing capacity also dramatically increased due to raised stiffness. Also, the space between each piers narrowed, settlement rate of soil was decreased significantly. From the test results, as the space between each piles were getting closer, allows greater chances to have resistance to deformation, shows improved stability of structures.

Analysis for foundation moments in space frame-shear wall-nonlinear soil system

  • The soil-structure interaction effect significantly influences the design of multi-storey buildings subjected to lateral seismic loads. The shear walls are often provided in such buildings to increase the lateral stability to resist seismic loads. In the present work, the nonlinear soil-structure analysis of a G+5 storey RC shear wall building frame having isolated column footings and founded on deformable soil is presented. The nonlinear seismic FE analysis is carried out using ANSYS software for the building with and without shear walls to investigate the effect of inclusion of shear wall on the moments in the footings due to differential settlement of soil mass. The frame is considered to behave in linear elastic manner, whereas, soil mass to behave in nonlinear manner. It is found that the interaction effect causes significant variation in the moments in the footings. The comparison of non-interaction and interaction analyses suggests that the presence of shear wall causes significant decrease in bending moments in most of the footings but the interaction effect causes restoration of the bending moments to a great extent. A comparison is made between linear and nonlinear analyses to draw some important conclusions.

도시철도 운행소음 저감용 훼어링시스템 연구 (A study on Fairing System for Traveling Noise Reduction in Urban Subway)

  • As the density and height of the buildings nearby subway lines get higher, the unprecedented residents' appeals for noise are on the rise. Furthermore, in accordance with the revision of enforcement regulations on the Noise and Vibration Control Act, the night time noise standards have been reinforced by 5dB effective on January 1st 2010 and the appropriate measures shall be taken accordingly. For the settlement of the public grievances against noise and vibration generated on tracks in at-grade and elevated section, the installation of continuously-welded-rail, rail lubrication system, improved fastening system and higher noise barrier is currently executed. Nevertheless, the noise and vibration levels in some areas are still exceeding the limits required in the regulation. Among the measures, an installation of higher noise barrier or noise tunnel seems to be the most effective way; however, it has limitations owing to the structural stability of existing elevated structures. The paper in consideration of the local conditions and foreign practices discusses the installation of fairing system under the train body as an noise insulation panel in order to reduce the rolling noise and under-carriage noise. Based on the result of this study, a performance verification test during actual train operation is in progress for further study.
