  • There are various papers on finding all the derivations of a non-associative algebra and an anti-symmetrized algebra (see [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [10], [13], [15], [16]). We and all the derivations of the growing algebra WN($e^{{\pm}x_1x_2x_3}$, 0, 3)[1] with the set of all right annihilators $T_3$ = $\{id,\;\partial_1,\;\partial_2,\;\partial_3\}$ in the paper. The dimension of $Der_{non}$(WN($e^{{\pm}x_1x_2x_3}$, 0, 3)$_{[1]}$) of the algebra WN($e^{{\pm}x_1x_2x_3}$, 0, 3)$_{[1]}$ is one and every derivation of the algebra WN($e^{{\pm}x_1x_2x_3}$, 0, 3)$_{[1]}$ is outer. We show that there is a class P of purely outer algebras in this work.

  • In general, conventional user identification systems require users to carry a TAG or badge or to remember ID and password. Though biometric identification systems may relieve these problems, they are susceptible to environmental noise to some degree. We propose a natural user identification system, ubiFloor, exploiting user's walking pattern to identify the user. The system identifies a user, while tracking the user's location, with a set of simple ON/OFF switch sensors or equipments. Experimental results show that the proposed system can recognize the registered users at the rate of 92%. Future improvement in recognition rate may be achieved by combining other sensors such as camera, microphone, etc.

  • In this paper, we propose a pupil detection method using PCA(principal component analysis) and Hough transform. To reduce error to detect eyebrows as pupil, eyebrows are detected using projection function in eye region and eye region is set to not include the eyebrows. In the eye region, pupil candidates are detected using rank order filter. False candidates are removed by using symmetry. The pupil candidates are grouped into pairs based on geometric constraints. A similarity measure is obtained for two eye of each pair using PCA and hough transform, we select a pair with the smallest similarity measure as final two pupils. The experiments have been performed for 1000 images of the BioID face database. The results show that it achieves the higher detection rate than existing method.

  • This paper shows a feasibility analysis results on RFID for car positioning system. Usually, a car navigation is mainly based on GPS combined with map-matching. However, in the case of poor visibility of satellites, GPS can not supply accurate position information continuously. In recent years, RFID has been considered to be one of key technologies in positioning and localization area. But its application and research results in the area of vehicular positioning are not popular. RFID system consists of tag, reader, antenna and software such as drivers and middleware. The main function of RFID system in a vehicular positioning is to retrieve ID recorded position information from tags which set on the center of road. We propose a positioning method for vehicles using RFID and we present some indoor and outdoor experiment results to show that the proposed method is available in vehicle operational environments.

  • We have designed data processing server system to include data archiving, photometric processing and light curve analysis for KMTNet (Korea Microlensing Telescope Network). Outputs of each process are reported to the main photometric database, which manages the whole processing steps and archives the photometric results. The database is developed using ORACLE 11g Release 2 engine. It allows to select objects applying any set of criteria such as RA/DEC coordinate and Star ID, etc. We tested the performance of the database using the OGLE photometric data. The searching time for querying 70,000,000 records was under 1 second. The database is fully accessed using query forms via web page.

  • The developmental disorder(intellectual disorder(ID) and autism spectrum disorder(ASD)) can severely impair a patient's ability to communicate and socialize. So they require physical management techniques, pharmacologic agents, and general anesthesia more than the normal at the dental clinic. The behavior therapy is a kind of the psychotherapy and is applied to the patient with behavioral problems. Seoul Dental Hospital for Disabled(SDHD) set up the Dental Behavior Clinic for the patients with developmental disorder and treated 32 patients with ID or ASD, blind. 18 patients were treated according to the ordinary plans, 14 patients stopped the treatment by different reasons. The various results of the treatment were produced by the kind or severity of the diseases, age and cooperation of the patients and the caregivers. Especially, the behavior therapist helped to figure out the characteristics of the patients and to make individualized treatment plans. In the future, it will be necessary to treat more patients and to make the dental behavior therapy objectify. And through the dental behavior therapy, it will be expected that the patients will become more cooperative to the dental clinic and can receive regular check-up peacefully, reducing the frequency of the general anesthesia.

  • Recently, as it is considered more important to identify the function of ail unknown genes in living things, many tools for gene prediction have been developed to identify genes in the DNA sequences. Unfortunately, most of those tools use their own schemes to represent their programs results, requiring researchers to make additional efforts to understand the result generated by them So, it is desirable to provide a standardized method of representing predicted gene information, which makes it possible to automatically produce the predicted results for a given set of gene data In this paper, we describe an effective U representation for various predicted gene information, and present an XML-based analysis tool for gene predication results based on this representation. The developed system helps users of gene prediction tools to conveniently analyze the predicted results and to automatically produce the statistical results of the prediction. To show the usefulness of the tool, we applied our programs to the results generated by GenScan and GeneID, which are widely used gene prediction systems.

  • This study aimed to examine the current state of music therapy for adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) by conducting a survey of music therapists. Completed surveys from 32 certified music therapists were included for analysis. The questionnaire was composed of 38 items that asked about the participants' background, work environment and music therapy implementation experience (including assessment, goal establishment, intervention strategy and difficulties). The results of the study showed that music therapy for adults with ID was practiced in diverse facilities. Enhancing social interaction was the most frequently set goal by music therapists, whereas facilities mostly required the music therapy services for emotional stability. Also, instrument playing was used most among music activities, and musical structure was considered most when choosing music for therapy. Among the influential institutional factors, characteristics of the facility were considered most frequently, and the level of functioning was the most considered in terms of client-related factors. To advance the effective use of music therapy interventions with adults with ID, development of music therapy assessment tools and more active communication with facility staff were also suggested when working with this population.

  • Social bookmarking systems are a typical web 2.0 service based on folksonomy, providing the platform for storing and sharing bookmarking information. Spammers in social bookmarking systems denote the users who abuse the system for their own interests in an improper way. They can make the entire resources in social bookmarking systems useless by posting lots of wrong information. Hence, it is important to detect spammers as early as possible and protect social bookmarking systems from their attack. In this paper, we applied a diverse set of machine learning approaches, i.e., decision tables, decision trees (ID3), $na{\ddot{i}}ve$ Bayes classifiers, TAN (tree-augment $na{\ddot{i}}ve$ Bayes) classifiers, and artificial neural networks to this task. In our experiments, $na{\ddot{i}}ve$ Bayes classifiers performed significantly better than other methods with respect to the AUC (area under the ROC curve) score as veil as the model building time. Plausible explanations for this result are as follows. First, $na{\ddot{i}}ve$> Bayes classifiers art known to usually perform better than decision trees in terms of the AUC score. Second, the spammer detection problem in our experiments is likely to be linearly separable.

  • Background: In the last two decades, pioneering research on anti-tumour activity of saffron has shed light on the role of crocetin, picrocrocin and safranal, as broad spectrum anti-neoplastic agents. However, the exact mechanisms have yet to be elucidated. Identification and characterization of the targets of bioactive constituents will play an imperative role in demystifying the complex anti-neoplastic machinery. Methods: In the quest of potential target identification, a dual virtual screening approach utilizing two inverse screening systems, one predicated on idTarget and the other on PharmMapper was here employed. A set of target proteins associated with multiple forms of cancer and ranked by Fit Score and Binding energy were obtained from the two independent inverse screening platforms. The validity of the results was checked by meticulously analyzing the post-docking binding pose of the picrocrocin with Hsp90 alpha in AutoDock. Results: The docking pose reveals that electrostatic and hydrogen bonds play the key role in inter-molecular interactions in ligand binding. Picrocrocin binds to the Hsp90 alpha with a definite orientation appropriate for nucleophilic attacks by several electrical residues inside the Hsp90-alpha ATPase catalytic site. Conclusion: This study reveals functional information about the anti-tumor mechanism of saffron bioactive constituents. Also, a tractable set of anti-neoplastic targets for saffron has been generated in this study which can be further authenticated by in vivo and in vitro experiments.
