Micro pattern forming on the metal thin foil Using micro dieless forming system (마이크로 다이레스 성형 시스템을 이용한 금속박판소재의 마이크로 패턴 성형)

  • The MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) process is used in a micro/nano pattern manufacturing method. This method is based on the lithography technology. But the MEMS process has some problems such as complicated process, long processing time and high production costs. Many researchers are doing research in substitute manufacturing method to work out a solution to these problems. In this paper, we apply a dieless incremental forming technology to a substitute method of MEMS process. This dieless forming technology is using in the commercial scale sheet forming such as a prototype of automobile sheet parts. 5-axes CNC (Computerized Numeric Control) method are applied in this system to get a micro-scale dieless forming results. These 5-axes system are composed of precision AC servo motor stages (4-axes) and PZT actuator (1-axis). A PZT actuator is used in a precision actuating axis because it can be operated in the nano scale stroke resolution. This micro dieless incremental forming system has the advantage of minimization in manipulating distance and working space. As equipment and tools become smaller in size, minute inertia force and high natural frequency can be obtained. Therefore, high precision forming performance can be obtained. This allows the factory to quickly provide the customer with goods because the manufacturing system and process are reduced. To construct this micro manufacturing system, many technologies are necessary such as high stiffness frame, high precision actuating part, structural analysis, high precision tools and system control. To achieve the optimal forming quality, the micro dieless forming system is designed and made with high stiffness characteristic.

  • Self-tuning control algorithms for an input-amplitude constrained system are developed and implemented. Magnitude of control input for small motors is generally restricted to narrow bound due to actuator saturation. The gain-adjusted control algorithm and the bounded-gain control algorithm proposed in this study yield smoother control input variations within the magnitude constraints comparing with the existing Clarke's suboptimal control algorithm. In the gain-adjusted control algorithm, the feedforward gain is adjusted using maximum gain, while in the bounded-gain control algorithm, the feedforward gain is bounded using weighting factor. For the DC servo motor control, the system performances of the proposed algorithms are compared with those of the existing algorithm by computer simulation and experiment. It is shown that the input variations of the proposed algorithms are smoother as compared with the existing algorithm.

  • In this study of made Autmation system is moving linear transfer system for mainly forming of small electronic unit and other at press line. This system for loading and unloading a workpiece has been installed in a press in order to load and unload a workpiece from a press die. Main Control method be used PLC. It took data of input from each sensor and send signal of output to actuator by sequence program also, we try to Characteristics test of this system has good condition when operating with raser measurmant.

  • Recent trends and the effect of mechanical vibrations in optical disk drives are reviewed in this paper. The Nation from CD drives to high density DVD drives and the development of writable optical disk drives require tighter mechanical tolerance. The demand for faster access time and higher data transfer rate also leads to critical mechanical problems to limit the tracking and focusing servo performance. The current mechanical issues to limit the performance of the drives and various technologies to overcome the mechanical problems are introduced. Vibrations of disk-spindle system, actuator and suspension designs of the optical pick-up, and general mechanical designs for the fast and stable access mechanism are considered.

  • 원자력/화력 발전소에서 사용중인 터빈출력제어장치(turbine power control device)는 유압 서보액추에이터(hydraulic servo actuator)로 구동하는 특수 스팀 밸브(steam valve)로서 터빈의 속도를 제어하고 스팀을 차단하는 기능이 있다. 대형 발전기(500~1000Mw)를 구동하여 양질의 전기를 생산하기 위해서는 발전기에 연결된 고압 및 저압터빈에 최적량의 스팀을 공급하여야 하고, 고속(화력 3600 rpm, 원자력 1800 rpm)으로 회전하는 터빈이나 스팀계통에 이상이 발생할 경우 터빈의 과속(over speed) 방지를 위하여, 즉시 터빈으로 공급되는 스팀을 차단하여 터빈을 보호해야 한다. 따라서 터빈의 속도제어와 계통의 스팀 량을 감시하여 차단하는 발전소의 특수 밸브의 신뢰성확보기술이 요구된다. 특히 원자력발전소의 경우 핵연료교환주기(약 24개월)에 밸브들을 정비 또는 교체하고 있어 이때마다 시스템과 매칭(튜닝)기술이 요구되었다. 본 연구에서는 전량 수입에 의존했던 원자력/화력 발전소의 특수 밸브인 터빈출력제어장치의 국산화 개발과 신뢰성확보기술 효과에 대하여 논하였다.

  • Active suspension controls stiffness and damping between unsprung mass and sprung mass in order to increase the ride quality. However, to increase the riding quality, the handling quality should be decreased and the rattle space should be increased. So, active suspension should cope with these conflict conditions. Therefore its actuating devices have to produce sufficient actuating force and have sufficiently short response time. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of 1/4 car model with an active suspension is studied according to hydraulic design variables. The active suspension consists of a hydraulic servo valve and a hydraulic cylinder. It shows better performance when it has more powerful and faster actuator.

  • This paper proposes an interfaces control system to drive a ultrasonic motors(USMs). To touch surfaces and objects created within a virtua environment, the 3 DOF force-reflecting interfaces provides force feedback to users, so to feel touching real things. To effectively display the mechanical impedance of the human hand we need a device with specific characteristics, such as low inertia almost zero friction and very high stiffness. As an actuator for direct drive method, the USMs have many good advantages satisfied these conditions over conventional servo motors. To estimate capability of this interface, we did an experiment. The device works very well, as user are able to detect the edge of the wall and the stiffness of the button.

  • This paper proposes an adaptive control system using a 80286 microprocessor-based system and DC servo motors for the control of flexible joint manipulator. In this paper, we construct the controller based on a singular perturbation strategy damping out the elastic oscillations at the joints. we added to the controller the compensator for damping the joint and the term for decreasing the position error between the actuator and the link in order to improve the asymptotical convergence of the position of the link. It is shown that the implementation of this control algorithm can be practical.

  • The quality of a precision product, in genera, relies on the accuracy and precision of its manufacturing and inspection process. In many cases, the level of precision in the manufacturing and inspection system is also dependent on the positioning capability of tool with respect to the workpiece in the process. Recently the positioning accuracy level employed for some of precision product has reached the level of submicron and long range of motion is required. For example, for 1GDRM lithography, 20nm accuracy and 300nm stroke needs. This paper refers to the lithography stage especially fine stage.
