The purpose of this study is to provide useful insights into community-level support services for family caregivers in Korea by comparing them with the services in the United States. Similar to most developed countries, life expectancy has led to rapid population aging in Korea over the last several decades. However, despite increased social needs of long-term care for the elderly, many elderly Koreans are still dependent on their family for the long-term care. Yet, existing support programs for family caregivers are very limited. As a result, family caregivers often suffer from a lack of financial resources and emotional support. In this study, we comprehensively review the extensive literature, including relevant studies and documents of community-level support services for family caregivers of the elderly at home in Korea and the United States. One of the most important differences is that compared to Korea, diverse services based on the law of NFCSP to support the family caregivers, such as counseling, organization of support group, and educating have been available in the United States since 2000. Additionally, the legal definition of family caregivers in the United State is broader than that in Korea, where family caregivers are limited to those who are related by blood or marriage. Therefore, more caregivers are eligible for support programs and benefit from the programs in the United States. The findings of the study suggest that policy makers in Korea should legislate for diverse and comprehensive services for family caregivers. Further, it is necessary to define legal terms for family caregivers more broadly to extend beneficiaries of the programs.

Only five offices have an anti-smoking counseling for smokers. 5. Only seven surveys responded that civil servants had a positive response to anti-smoking programs. 6. The most important problem of anti-smoking programs in governmental offices was the lack of concern of civil servants. Governmental offices have to provide the greatest administrative services and services concerning the quality of life for citizens. Anti-smoking education programs in governmental offices for civil servants was the beginning of an activity of the services concerning the quality of life for citizens. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the current state and improvements of the public library services for older adult in Korea. According to the online survey of public libraries in urban areas across the country, a total of 172 libraries responded. Research shows that public libraries generally recognize the importance of elderly users, but there are limitations in active efforts. The priority area for library collection and space/facilities was to be strengthened by the expansion of large type and voice books/periodical books, as well as the need to ask librarians for help to find books in high bookshelves. In the case of library services/programs, the areas that need to be strengthened first were analyzed as social participation programs and humanities programs. The librarians in charge of information services expressed their opinions that more specialized services and programs should be planned and subdivided for the elderly generation in order to provide older adults' services unique to other older adults' service institutions.
The Japanese housing market has implemented management and operation systems of community service ahead of the Korean market. This paper examines case studies of Japanese community services by reviewing related studies, studying homepages, and conducting in-depth interviews with management staff. The goal of this study is to find marketing strategies and the proper management practices in preparation for the upcoming low-fertility and aging society. The results of this study are as follows: 1) After Japan's bubble economy burst in 1985, so called that incorporated various community facilities with life services were introduced to the Japanese housing market in order to cope with the diversifying family types and lifestyles. This new trend was also due in part to customers' increasing demands for convenient urban condominiums. 2) In Japan, many developers and construction companies have run the management of community service programs and created new business models in collaboration with other affiliated companies. However, many of these programs have been found even more successful and reliable when the facility management companies collaborate with local service providers instead of relying solely on affiliated companies. 3) The early stage of life services began with "front-desk services", but these have evolved into more upgraded "concierge services" that can provide residents with tailored services and conveniences. Furthermore, some of the service providers have encouraged resident participation in the process of designing and implementing their community services. 4) In Korea, most construction companies and developers are still oriented toward providing hardware such as spaces and facilities in developing their community services. Therefore, companies with high market reputations must seek alternative ways to maintain and enhance their brand values by implementing new approaches in collaboration with both affiliated companies and local service providers. This can be done by finding new notions of managing and operating community services through research and development.

This study was conducted to contribute to the expansion of activity areas for school nurses in the field of health promotion services whose importance are increasing daily. To achieve such goals the researcher proposed that health promotion programs for obesity management in overweight schoolchildren conducted by literature review to apply to school settings. In this program, the principal components developed a behavior modification program and an exercise program, which could be educated and managed by a nursing staff during for 9 weeks, three times per week, 60 minutes each. The overall average effect size, effect sizes for each intervention variables, and publication bias were analyzed using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis(CMA) version 2.0 (Biostat, Englewood, NJ, USA). Results: Post-traumatic stress disorder intervention programs were found to have a very low, not statistically significant effect (effect size=-.171, confidence interval=-0.361~0.019, Z=-1.768, p>.05). However, these programs was less than 50 (effect size=-.622). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that further research on the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder intervention among firefighters is needed in order to develop more effective programs.

In Korea, nutritional services have not been included in the periodic medical examinations for employees. Naturally, the practice of individual dietary treatment, or nutrition education, has not yet been implemented, specifically for employees who are expected to encounter health problems. This study was designed to evaluate the necessity and development of nutritional consultations during medical examinations of employees and of worksite nutrition programs. One hundred and five employees from three companies were chosen as subjects for this study. As a result, the average intake of nutrients were found to be sufficient for male employees but female employees were found to be deficient in their intake of total calories, calcium, iron, vitamins A and $B_2$. Also, most of employees did not recognize their own blood cholesterol levels, blood pressure, or blood sugar level. Many employees thought that they needed nutritional consultation during periodic medical examinations and during worksite nutrition programs that also include programs for the whole family. According to the results, clinics for weight control were urgently demanded among several nutrition programs. It should be noted that weight problems, high blood cholesterol levels, diabetes, and other health problems were frequently found in companies whose employees had relatively minimal knowledge about nutrition information. In an effort to prevent disease, the worksite nutrition programs and other nutritional services for employees are critical. This study, therefore, suggests to include nutritional services in medical examinations and to develop efficient worksite nutrition programs.
