네트워크 로봇의 서비스 통합을 위한 템플릿 컴포넌트 (Template Components for Service Integration of Networked Robot)

  • In a large scale robot system, one of important problems is software integration, which involves three elements: modularity, reusability and stability. By these issues, the degree of convenience of system integration, its required time and the performance of the system stability can be determined. In addition, the convenience of system management can be determined by the degree of completion of service components. This paper explains the template based service component (TBSC) for the integration of service components in networked robot. The important characteristics of TBSC are automatical execution and recovery process by a PnP supporting robot framework, which helps a system operator to manage a robot system comfortably. For easy implementation and system stability, we provide a service component creator and a verification tool to developers.

유아용 에듀테인먼트 Mon-E로봇 (An Edutainment Mon-E Robot for Young Children)

  • This paper presents an edutainment robot for young children. The edutainment robot called 'Mon-e' has developed by the Central R&D Laboratory at KT. The main services of the Mon-E robot are autonomous moving service, object card and story book telling service and videophone service. The RFID technology was introduced for easy interface to young children. The face of Mon-E robot is mounted with an RFID reader. The RFID tag is pasted on story book and object card. If you approach a book or an object card to the face of Mon-E, the Mon-E robot recognizes the identified code and plays its service. In autonomous moving, if the Mon-E robot meets obstacles, it moves back and turns left or right or half rotation. In videophone service, if young children approach an RFID card to the Mon-E, the Mon-E can make a call to the specific number, which is contained in the RFID card. The developed Mon-E robot has tested in real world environment and is evaluated young children and their parents. In the result of evaluation, the feeling of satisfaction was high to main services of Mon-E robot.

  • In this study, the concept of autonomous mobility is applied to a gait support mobile robot. The aim of the development of the service robot is to assist the elderly with gait rehabilitation. This study proposes an ergonomic service robot design parameter. The gait assistant path pattern is derived from analysis of the elderly gait. A lever is installed in the AMR in order to measure both the pulling force and the leading force of the elderly. The path generation of the mobile robot is developed through consideration and analysis of elderly gait patterns. The ergonomic design parameters (dimensions, action scope and working space) are determined based on moving scope of the elderly. The gait assistant mobile robot was offered the elderly guide service and internet service based on the ergonomic design parameters.

  • Combining robot and network gives us many advantages like lightweight hardware specification of robot, a various robot service, simple upgrade of robot, easy management and so on. Among these advantages, Presence service and openAPI are most important. Presence is simple but powerful service. It makes user to know the status information of robot and enables user to control robot from a remote place. OpenAPI which is also a feature of WEB2.0 enables $3^{rd}$ parties to make a various mashup service easily and rapidly. Finally presence and openAPI can help URC service to be ubiquitous and successful.

Development of the Medical Support Service Robot Using Ergonomic Design

  • In this study, the concept of autonomous mobility is applied to a medical service robot. The aim of the development of the service robot is for the elderly assisting walking rehabilitation. This study aims that the service robot design parameter is proposed in ergonomic view. The walking assistant path pattern is derived from analyzing the elderly gait analysis. A lever is installed in the AMR in order to measure the pulling force and the leading force of the elderly. A lever mechanism is applied for walking assistant service of the AMR. This lever is designed for measuring the leading force of the elderly. The elderly adjusts the velocity of the robot by applying force to the lever. The action scope and the service mechanism of the robot are developed for considering and analyzing the elderly action patterns. The ergonomic design parameters, that is, dimensions, action scope and working space are determined based on the elderly moving scope. The gait information is acquired by measuring the guide lever force by load cells and working pattern by the electromyography signal.

하이브리드형의 공압 서비스 로봇의 개발 (Development of the Pneumatic Service Robot with a Hybrid Type)

  • In this paper, the pneumatic service robot with a hybrid type is developed. A pneumatic has the advantage of good compliance, high payload-to-weight and payload-to-volume ratios, high speed and force capabilities. Using pneumatic actuators which have low stiffness, the service robot can guarantee safety. By suggesting a new serial-parallel hybrid type for the service robot which separates into positioning motion and orienting motion, we can achieve large workspace and high strength-to-moving-weight ratio at the same time. A sliding mode controller can be designed for tracking the desired output using the Lyapunov stability theory and structural properties of pneumatic servo systems. Through many experiments of circular trajectory, the pneumatic service robot is evaluated and verified.

로봇 vs 사람: 종업원의 서비스 성공과 실패가 고객행동의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 비교 연구 (Robot vs Human: Comparative Study on the Effect of Service Success and Failure on Customer Behavioral Intentions of Service Employees)

  • 서비스 현장에서 로봇의 활용이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 서비스 로봇의 종업원으로서의 역할에 주목하여, 로봇의 서비스가 고객행동에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 서비스 성공과 실패 상황에서 사람 종업원과 비교하여 살펴보았다. 바리스타로봇, 서빙로봇, 쉐프로봇을 대상으로 세 번의 실험을 통해 실증분석을 수행하여 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, 서비스가 성공적인 경우, 사람들은 서비스를 제공한 종업원이 사람인지, 로봇인지에 관계없이 재방문 의도가 유사하게 나타났다. 반면, 서비스가 실패인 상황에서는 로봇 종업원으로부터 서비스를 받은 경우보다 사람 종업원으로부터 서비스를 받은 경우에 재방문 의도가 더 부정적인 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대한 이유는 아직까지 서비스 로봇의 능력에 대한 고객들의 기대가 사람 종업원에 비해 낮기 때문인 것으로 파악되었다. 마지막으로 고객들은 로봇의 서비스가 사람의 서비스에 비해 더 안정적이라고 인식하는 것으로 나타나 서비스 로봇이 성공적인 서비스를 제공한다면 로봇으로부터 서비스를 제공받는 고객으로부터 긍정적인 반응과 행동을 이끌어낼 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

실내 서비스 로봇을 위한 스마트환경 기술의 응용 (An Application of Smart Environment Technology for Indoor Service Robots)

  • Reliable functionalities for autonomous navigation and object recognition/handling are key technologies to service robots for executing useful services in human environments. A considerable amount of research has been conducted to make the service robot perform these operations with its own sensors, actuators and a knowledge database. With all heavy sensors, actuators and a database, the robot could have performed the given tasks in a limited environment or showed the limited capabilities in a natural environment. With the new paradigms on robot technologies, we attempted to apply smart environments technologies-such as RFID, sensor network and wireless network- to robot functionalities for executing reliable services. In this paper, we introduce concepts of proposed smart environments based robot navigation and object recognition/handling method and present results on robot services. Even though our methods are different from existing robot technologies, successful implementation result on real applications shows the effectiveness of our approaches.

  • This paper presents the system design and implementation of 'Mon-e', the KT's edutainment robot for young children. We paid our special attention to the computer- illiterate young children, and the provision of the physical and friendly human interface of robots. Specifically, the paper focuses on the video telephony and home monitoring service using the Mon-e robot. RFID cards -based calling makes it possible for the computer-illiterate children to make a phone call to their parents. The SIP and DTMF based remote control of the robot enables the search and track of the children. This experimental development shows the potentialities and values of the convergence service of telecommunication and robotics.

로봇에 대한 예비 교사의 태도: 변인에 따른 차이 분석 (Pre-Service Teachers' Attitudes toward Robots : Analysis of Difference According to Variables)

  • 전 세계적으로 4차 산업혁명에 따라 필요한 인재를 양성하기 위하여 로봇을 필두로 한 소프트웨어 교육이 진행되고 있다. 이에 따라 로봇 교육에 대한 수업 전문성이 요구되지만, 선행 연구에서는 로봇에 대한 예비 교사의 태도가 부정적이었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 변인에 따른 로봇에 대한 예비 교사의 태도 차이를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 연구 대상은 K 대학에 다니고 있는 309명의 예비 교사이며, 예비 교사의 로봇에 대한 태도를 측정하기 위하여 로봇에 대한 부정적인 태도 측정척도를 검사 도구로 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 예비 교사는 성별, 로봇의 조작 경험, 로봇 관련 수업의 수강 경험에 따라 로봇에 대한 태도가 다른 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 여성보다 남성이, 로봇의 조작 경험과 로봇 관련 수업의 수강 경험이 있을수록 로봇에 대한 예비 교사의 태도가 긍정적으로 나타났다. 반면에 매체를 통한 로봇의 경험은 로봇에 대한 예비 교사의 태도에 영향을 주지 않은 것으로 나타났다.
